Kudos to to new guy in bakery! He said he wasn't trained to decorate cakes but said he could try. I was not looking for perfection, just legible and he did not disappoint! Thanks new guy for the cake writing! Absolutely love it! ❤️ 🐲🦄🎲
I’ve really come to enjoy shopping at Smith’s in Draper. It’s so convenient for me—right in the middle of everything, so I can easily swing by whenever I need to grab something. The store is always clean and well-organized, and I can find everything from fresh produce to pharmacy items without much hassle. I like how quick it is to get in and out of there. What really makes it work for me is the store hours—open every day from 6 AM to 11 PM, so no matter how my day goes, I can always make it. The staff is generally friendly, but I’ve noticed that sometimes it’s a bit slower during busier hours, which is the only downside. Still, for everyday shopping, it’s reliable, and I know I can count on it to have what I need.
I don't know what the problem was, maybe because we were the wrong color, but the woman tending the self checkout stopped our machine and started pawing through our bags like a rabid raccoon. If they want to treat people like criminals for doing the cashier's job I'd just assume shop at Costco from now on instead.
The regular staff maintain the floor are wonderful and very helpful and actually know where things are however, some of the pharmacist in the pharmacy and the technicians are fairly rude in my humble opinion, but my experience has been just that. Overall a wonderful store to shop at and have plenty of stock always.
This store never has more than one check stand open. Tonight I waited way to long! I tried this Store again today 10/14/24 and had the same experience one checkstand open, four customers in line at that one checkstand. Please for the love of God open up additional checkstands with humans to check us out! I don’t get paid to work here. Why should I be expected to check myself out. If you want people to use self check offer a 25% discount. Then I would feel like it’s worth it.
Had a bad experience with the self check out lady today around 12:30pm! First I put my milk in the bagging area sideways she said I couldn’t do that which was annoying but okay. My cereal fell off the bagging area so I put it back on and it made the sensors weird. She kept asking if I scanned everything and was struggling to find them on the list even tho I was clearly pointing them out to her. She was treating me like I was stealing stuff. A super quick trip turned longer due to incompetence her and she made it a super uncomfortable experience.
Raise your prices and then cut your tellers. Self checkout isn’t. I scanned every single item why you filmed me doing so then try to talk me I didn’t scan everything . BS watch the damn video. Oh no I will count all your items. Had to track down someone to help them she left and the error came up again. Bring back the cashiers!! Convenient isn’t worth coming back for with this crappy service.
Smith's is my go-to grocery store, I have been going there for many years and I like the folks that work there and they are pretty friendly, but WOW I bought absolutely the WORST pizza there! DO NOT BUY THIS!! Cardboard with a "red sauce" would taste better!
Nice& changed
I love this store & location! Smiths ALWAYS has reduced produce, 99,¢ I love this so MUCH to stop by & get what I need fresh for dinner @ a fabulous price. They do this with meat too! Thank you Smiths Marketplace!!!!!! I also can only find my dog food ABOUND there!!!!!;
Great. Not too crowded. Had what I needed.
I loved this market
Online Orders department that is over the food getting put together. You can do better.
My favorite grocery y
Always friendly and decent prices.
Its a great place to stay.
Clean store, very nice people. Not only employee but also customers. That is a reflection on those that work there.
I love smiths. They always have good sales going on special meat dept. Deals as well. Friendly service makes it great.
So convenient with really friendly staff
Had what I needed last minute on Christmas Eve
Good products
Update your store hours! Not 24 hours. Probably close around 11 or 12
Good prices, friendly service
Didnt have the item we wanted.
Pharmacist are very helpful and professional.
Clean store and had everything I needed
Not the best experience
Ryan helped me today with buying a key battery & putting it together for me. I was so impressed with his excellent customer service, thank you Ryan!
What can I say its grocery store! Always as expected
I love Smiths, they have a large selection of everything especially in the meat and deli section..They always have good sales
We are here at least few times a week. Kids do love this place as well.
This one is the closest to home, also very near a Tesla charger. Store is always clean, since is not really a very busy place; you can get in and get out fairly quickly
Some products are priced above average, but they have good variety and some deals. Some products are priced above average, but they have good variety and some deals.
I thought that when you went through a regular line, you at least received some assistance bagging your groceries. But not from Robin, who will scan your items, tell you to have a good day and let you bag all your own things without a single offer of help. Class act.
This Smiths is great. Good selection and nice staff. The parking lot is TREACHEROUS though so be careful.
You pay a premium for the variety; its worth it on occasion.
Smallest smiths I ve seen, empty racks on Sundays very low selection and variety. Outdated meats turning green I ll be going to other markets hopefully better luck
Like the store and sales, but they only had self-checkout available. No manned check stands. For a small order, okay, but for a large cart of stuff- too much hassle
Every two weeks I cashed my check here from my local business that I work for. Suddenly, today they would not cash it for me because it was handwritten, even though in the past, it was every time. Both the Teller and lele the manager were straight up rude and unwilling to be kind or nice to me about saying sorry we don t do that anymore it was instead nope you can go somewhere else I never leave reviews, but the attitude that lele gave me was absolutely uncalled for. There were 1 million other ways to tell me no, and they chose to be absolute jerks about it. Initially held my check away from me and wouldn t give it back to me, and talked down to me about how I should ve gone to a bank. (This has always been faster and why I choose to come here) They need some serious customer service training. Oh and not to mention no one was even at the desk when I got there. So they re short staffed and clearly taking it out on others. And when they asked for a manager they announced how much my check was and the problem loudly over their intercom. Which adds embarrassment.
Red Grapes, last Saturday....59¢ a pound. I get a 3 pound container. They charge me over $4.00 and I got two containers. Do the math. Thats Smiths in Draper, folks...watch for the tricks as the treats cost me over $2.20 each more than shown!
Idc about anything else in the store but THOSE BLUEBERRY MUFFINS Amazing!!!!!
This is a great store. I instacart and mainly work this store so I shop here at least a few times a week. Their staff is amazing and always helpful. It is hard to find good customer service in todays retail environment However this store always provides excellent service help and goes above and beyond for its customers. Clean and well stocked. It is our choice to shop when spending our food budget. Great sales and prices. Thanks Smiths!
Curbside seems to be such a hit or miss experience at this store. More than once I have had items in my order come up missing. These items were not subbed or shorted from my order and I was still charged for them. On top of that, whoever bags for curbside does so haphazardly! Love Smith s products, hate how curbside has been going lately!
Their associate Ray was very polite and helpful!
The produce department could step up their game. The produce is consistently low quality.
I was trying to buy something at this Smith s with my OTC card. The cashier, who I later found out was the manager, was very rude and angry, telling me l couldnt use the OTC card to buy coconut water. Even if he couldnt read English, he should recognize pictures, right? Theres a picture of coconut water on my OTC card. He also told me I couldnt use two gift cards at once, which I later found out isnt true. My OTC card has been used multiple times at Sandy Smiths to buy same item.I dont understand how someone with such a bad attitude and unknowledgeable could be a manager.
Luna helped me out today and was very helpful. Took her away from her post to a different section of the store, and then I had trouble at the self checkout station, too. Took up a good chunk of her time, but she had a pleasant demeanor about it.
Recently renovated. One of the smaller Smiths stores, but I usually find what Im looking for here.
I mean as far as a grocery store goes. Its better than a food Lion.
Very helpful and great inventory
Brady was super helpful at self checkout thank you Brady.
This store has a different feeling of a different time almost it was a bit unsettling
Overall best prices. (I shop sales and use digital coupons). Produce is very good quality. Meat and bakery items are also good. I wanted to add that the deli staff are really kind. Back during Covid when it was difficult to find what we needed on the shelves of any grocery store one of the bakery ladies came over to me (maybe I looked sad or frustrated because I couldnt find what I needed) and had in her hands some boxes of fresh croissants straight from the oven. She showed them to me and said they are still warm. It wasnt what I was looking for but I felt she was being kind and trying to make me happy. Anyway, I love Smiths - definitely my favorite grocery store.
Full cart of groceries and only self checkout
It s a nice store, and its been around since the 90 s. The employees are always very kind.
Employees are always mind and very helpful.
The Smith s produce has gone downhill dramatically. I went in to buy some onions, tomatoes, and maybe bananas this time depending on the rottenness. The only fresh non-rotting onions could find was the sweet white onions. I looked in the lime bin to see fresh limes on top of moldy ones. And warning to others do not buy the blueberries. I have not been able to find non-rotting blueberries in the last eight months all of them are bad. I asked one of the employees in the department why the produce was looking so bad. He said he had no choice, but to put it out because corporate is making them go against their own standards. The poor guy was quitting anyway because of the hypocrisy and said most of the product comes in rotten, and most of their time is going through secondhand rotten produce shipped by the supplier before it goes out on the floor. I think it s time to boycott smith s. Costco and Winco are the winners. You will cut your grocery bill by 25% shopping elsewhere like Winco and Costco
Normally Smiths is a great place to shop and everyone is friendly and helpful. However today the cashier in the center, a tall older lady was very rude and I did not appreciate her attitude.
The only real specials they have are with digital coupons. No matter what I do with the app, I cannot get the digital coupons to work. KROGER NEEDS TO HAVE THE CARD FOR EVERY SPECIAL!!!!!!!!!!!! Winco is now my grocery store of choice.
I will never buy produce at Smiths in Draper, ever! https://youtu.be/FrUYMwQWvZo?si=hWlj6dS9BO2uXT2A
Terrible Store very dirty and the staff are rude and unprofessional the lady with blonde hair and blue eyes who was pregnant chimed in on a private conversation I was having and put her 2 cents worth
Been to this Smiths a bunch. Usually a quick and effortless experience
Bathroom is always disgusting and half the stuff in there is broken!!!
Stole my money completely on an order of flowers, paid 80 dollars for flowers which turned out they have me 30 dollars flowers. Told them to contact me if they didn t have the flowers in stock which they obviously didn t.
Heard a boy with a red cap and blonde hair who Im assuming was a worker off the clock make a joke that he looked like a transitioning female before his haircut while he was talking to the cashiers. Not funny
Great place to shop
I called because I just spent $6.99 on Jonny pops strawberry frozen yogurt bars and $3.99 on Arctic Blasters orange Creamsicles, $11 on ice cream and I got home and they were completely melted frozen mush and I love 2 minutes from the store. So I called to speak to customer service and the women a swerved with a very rude tone and said what are we doing it was very poor customer service then she transferred me to a manager because she basically told me she couldnt help me. I was like ok maybe the manager could help me and that was a fat NO her name was Josie and she also had very poor customer care and didnt solve my issue at all they both made me feel like it was my fault I bought melted ice cream from the freezer and made me feel like they didnt want to resolve my issue. I wont be buying ice cream here again and this was the second time I spent over $10 on ice cream at theis Smiths and got home and it was melted. Poor customer service and poor quality!!
Like Smiths. Always have great deals. A little disconcerting that they are getting rid of a lot of customer favorite items though but other than that a great place to shop and get great deals.
It s convenient, but I don t really shop here that often. We tried finding a drink here but we checked all the drink aisles and the pharmacy and couldn t find it. Could be cleaned here. Parking lot is AWFUL to get out of.
Great atmosphere & friendly staff.
Smiths has the best quality fruit and vegetables of any other store I have visited in the area. They usually have short lines and its really easy using the self checkout. The pharmacy members are really nice and fill my prescriptions promptly
Great!
I always like shopping at this smiths
Smiths in Draper always has the friendliest staff. I can do short shopping or big grocery trips and it is never a pain to get in and out. I love the multiple self checkouts and that they carry like 99.9% of the groceries I need!
I wish this location cared as much about their customers as other locations do. Its saving grace is the pharmacy. They are the best employees in the store. Grocery selection is lacking. I rarely buy meat or produce because the quality elsewhere is much better. But, my biggest pet peeve is that they wont bring the small carts into the store. So many of us would like to use them, but they keep them hidden outside on the west side of the store. They surround them with big carts hoping that nobody sees them or takes the time to dig them out. NOT everyone is shopping for a family of 10. Please respect those of us who are single or shopping for smaller families. If you think it will encourage me to buy more if I use a bigger cart, think again. Ive left many times after picking up a prescription and shopped at another store just to use a small cart. Thinking about moving my prescriptions.
This store is the worst I have been in. Dirty, shelves unstocked, staff standing around ignoring customers who need help. Manager is horrible as with most of the staff. Rude behavoir.
I love smiths!! Good coupons!! And great value items. Go to grocery store near me!
My elderly mother (who was using the riding cart) missed a small package of sausage while trying to use self checkout today. The clerk waited until my mom completed the transaction, signaled security and has her detained! If the clerk has been doing his job he could have pointed out to my elderly mother that she missed one of her items, instead he chose to humiliate her while he had his little power trip. My mom is 411 and needs both of her knees replaced, youre all such big heroes there at your front end, making a little old lady cry. My mother and the rest of my family wont be going back to this store. This is disgusting.
Very friendly staff, convenient location, but it stinks. Literally. As soon as you walk into the store, near the produce, it smells awful. I brought home bagged potatoes from this location and they smelled terrible, just like the store. I had to throw them away immediately. If they cleaned out whatever rotten veggies/fruits are in the produce section, this could be a great store.
Shelby Powers in the meat department is disrespectful, unprofessional and disgusting
Shelby Powers in the meat department should be fired immediately
This is the worst smiths in either Valley. They do not stock anything, its luck of the draw if they will have simple things like lemons. Not even basing this off one expeiernce. walked in to day to get some basics and 5 mins in unloaded my basket and walked out. its a joke
Nice Customer Care.
I always shop at Smith s for quick in and out items. The location is very easy to get to and the staff is always very gracious.
Friendly staff, always find what you need
So many price tags were wrong. Look closely at the expiration dates in the red and yellow sale tags.
This market exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a clean and well-organized environment that conveyed a sense of freshness and hygiene. The variety of products available is impressive. I found everything I needed, from fresh produce and high-quality food items to personal care products and cleaning supplies. The organic products section was also a standout for me. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, always willing to assist and provide information about the products. Additionally, the checkout process was efficient with no long lines. Prices were fair and competitive, and I also came across some interesting offers and discounts. This made me feel like I was getting excellent value for my money. The markets infrastructure, with well-maintained shopping carts and convenient parking, made the experience even more enjoyable. In summary, this market is a place where you can shop for your daily needs with ease, quality, and excellent customer service. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a positive and convenient shopping experience.
Customer service is amazing here.
Your store is as worthless as a $3.00 bill!!
Josie has the best customer service I come all the way to Smiths just to see her !!!!!
Its a nice store..
I love this smiths I go out of my way to go here but the manager has got to put a stop to all the people that park in the fire zone when its busy it makes it so dangerous and almost not worth going there
I like to go to these stores, they sell wholesale products which is a great advantage for your pocket, especially when we celebrate important dates.
Had a cart full of groceries and not one check stand open. All that was open was self check out. I asked an employee that was standing there doing nothing if we could get a clerk, she replied, nope, self check only. I then asked her politely, I see a lot of employees standing around doing not much and you cannot help me? She said, nope and proceeded to ignore us. We left. LeftThstorebusy with patrons
14 day return policy! How?? Not even store credit lol. Literally joke. And I ve been loyal to smiths my whole life. If it was food I get it. But really?? Worst managed smiths ever too. 4-5 employees standing around doing nothing while the customer service line is 20 minutes long.
Clean grocery. In and out quick
As usual, the store was clean, neat and very organized. Venturing in to shop for a birthday event, I was present to see the store being restocked at 7:40 a.m. which seemed to be happening with the typical core group of employees. Unless someone was hiding in back, only counted 8 employees which is a fair number for opening and being a Sunday morning. They have some excellent bargains post-Halloween and also prepping for Thanksgiving. Despite all of the restocking, processes and training seem to be upscale with pleasant staff, organized and clean procedures, that kept a welcoming and pleasant experience. Easy to find what youre looking for, clean restroom, sucked with just about anything you need to shop for...
this is my long overdue five star review for the Smiths located on 13th E. and 103rd south in Sandy. The store is outstanding in every way and I m grateful to the Pharmacy and to the other customer service rep who help me and for the cleanliness of the store for the simplicity of the app and the rewards and refund offered through their discount programs I receipts are always on point when it comes to coupons and discounts, and they are very generous with reimbursing me on items that have expired or maybe leaking or damaged in anyway, thank you thank you thank you. Oh, and a huge shout out to the manager who s in charge of the floral department I m always in awe when I go there of the quality of plants, and the way that that department is taken care of the beautiful vases they have available reasonable pricesI m just very thrilled today. I spent a couple hours there and it was time to just give the store a shout out to everybody that works there a shout out. Thank you.
Busy place at 4 o clock on a Monday afternoon in Fortnite to give me. They had everything I needed though it was able to get out of there quickly. Very clean store in lotta options. Good location. Highly recommend this location.
I m here all the time. I love the staff and the produce department is always on point keeping things fresh and organized.
Clean and organized
Holiday hustle bustle for shoppers is a stressful time. I spent over $200 on a grocery haul, and had to ring up all up thru self checkout. I had so many small items that the alarms were going off constantly. It seems like this company would have service personnel hired and running the registers. Left feeling frustrated
Save your money if you go to the meat department at Smiths I paid high price for a brisket it was the worst peace of meat I ever bought save your money and go somewhere else
Its a really nice grocery store. Looks like it was opened yesterday with how clean it is. It even has a small two table sitting area next to the deli I believe. That is impressive since most smiths took out there sitting area. Check it out I think you will be as impressed as I was.
Google hours says open to 4pm you get here it s closed
This is for the pharmacy in Smiths. Be very careful when you go there and they tell you they have medicine ready for you and then they don t. They will just tell you there s nothing they can do about it and send it to another pharmacy very dishonest people and very very rude.
So nice to have a location that closes at Midnight and everything was so well stocked. Great location.
A Kroger store, great selection of products, only place I can get large russets to bake.
Clicklist customer service and process has gone downhill in the last 6 weeks. From wrong orders, orders hours late without contacting me, texts not being pushed through until later and then being charged for items I never approved, poor and flippant associate attitude, being told to call the out of country customer service number to handle their local inept billing, and to overall lack of quality. Ive engaged local leadership and corporate but am also noting here in hopes that the previous quality service returns to Clicklist.
I usually have a good experience inside this store, but unfortunately the man I just spoke with in the phone about my mobile order was so rude. Didn t answer my question and dismissed me so quick. I won t be doing my orders here anymore.
I did the pickup order because I work full time and have a family to take care of and when I got home I noticed that my strawberries were disgusting and had already gone bad. I called and they said that they can t refund me over the phone, I d have to drive all the way back to the store and bring my receipt and the strawberries and they d see about a refund. They won t refund me the $2 strawberries, they ll make me drive out there twice and spend more in gas than the strawberries
I ve been shopping at smiths in different locations my whole life .but this location is terrible! I have been overcharged on Clicklist and in store more than I can count, spent way to much time on the phone trying to get funds corrected, and never once have I seen them actually show up or work on my smiths account or credit card. A lot of their cashiers are extremely rude and unprofessional (there are a few nice ones). And I get rotten produce on the regular. The Draper Walmart seriously is a better option :(
I already reviewed the Pharmacy which it got a five for all I listed and why. But now when I go, my wife gives me a list of a few things to pick up. I am totally lost in any grocery store so it seems like i am in there for a day, but the nice employees help me. But if one employee happens to help is on a break, they Daytona 500 with my list and cart around the store and help run and they fill my cart. This place is clean, faced, stocked, friendly and carries things I never knew was in there. They have meat cutters for specialties and cheese along with a bakery. Plus you can get household products of many sorts. As you can read , I never shop for food or know what items are down an isle as i never pay attention if I ever went with my wife . If I was in another market with no helpful employees, I d be in trouble for giving up and walking out of a market empty handed. I just have gone there for prescriptions or to get lost. Great Store and Pharmacy !
Why wouldn t your system have the tap-to-pay functionality? I hardly bring my wallet with me anywhere and prefer to just tap my phone to pay. I can t think of any other grocery store I ve ever been to that requires swipe/insert what year is this??
Ive been going to this store for years. There was one night I ended up stranded without a cell phone. I walked into the store looking for a pay phone even though I wasnt even sure they existed any more. I was limping pretty bad due to some medical issues. I couldnt find one. The manager was running the self-checkout so I asked him if he knew whether or not there was a pay phone nearby. Like me, he said he hadnt seen a pay phone in years. I explained that I was stranded without a cell phone and I needed to call my wife. Im from Riverton and it would be a local call (I dont think that matters anymore either). The manager explained that customers arent allowed to use the phone. I pleaded again. Pointed out that Im limping, stranded, and just need to call my wife and let her know where Im at so she can come get me. He refused again saying customers are not permitted to use the phone. I genuinely didnt believe it so I just walked out with my head down. I didnt get angry or even say anything after that. Just left. I limped about a mile west to 7-Eleven because thats the closest place open. Their phone didnt work. Limped another half mile to the next 7-Eleven where their phone didnt work but the cashier let me use his phone. Thank goodness. The Manager here had a chance to help someone who really needed help by allowing me a single phone call. Thats not the kind of people I want to be around, let alone do business with.
Extremely rude cashiers. A couple of times I had to deal with one named sue and she s been a nightmare each time. I tried a few times to get ahold of a manager to let them know how bad she is but it s impossible to reach anyone. Also the parking lot is insane!! I try to avoid going to this smith s as much as possible.
Good pricing
Just went here to try and buy some ice cream, Some crazy, angry person comes around the corner yelling at me get the F out or I m calling the police !! I have no idea why? I asked politely if I could just buy the ice cream? He resumed yelling at me get the f out I again politely asked why is he so angry? And his/her response was just more threats and more anger!!!!!! I really do not understand ? The doors opened up when I walked in, the signs said open it was 11:30 pm It actually breaks my heart that another human being is So angry for no reason!!!!! God bless him/her.
COMPLETE FAIL !!! Ordered a chocolate cake with white frosting it was supposed to have Happy birthday in blue and a dirt bike on it. This is what was there when I showed up the day of the party. Just wondering if it was bring your kindergartner to work and let them do your job day?
Instacart sucks. It tells you everything is in stock when you purchase it and then when the workers at smiths try to find your items 50% of the items you purchased aren t in stock. I know for a fact they have most of the items I purchased because they always have them. The building is gross and rundown. It needs some serious help. It smells. I even prefer Walmart over this smiths. It s disgusting and I get depressed every time I walk in.
This location could really use a better cheese selection like many other locations do, and a naturals section, this Smith s is really lacking
Good
Absolutely horrible. If I had known that they stop checking out guests 2 hours prior to close and I would have to spend a ridiculous amount of time in self check out, Id have just gone to Harmons.
Love Smiths in Draper. I always go to the checker in check out number 8. Her name is Connie. She s fantastic with the customers, she s fast and very efficient . But she has a friendly personality with us customers. Just a fun professional !
Love this store. They are always so helpful and have everything I need! Would recommend to anyone.
The variety is the only thing I actually liked about this place. The cashiers on the other hand save yourself time and go to self check out. They will automatically accuse you of not having any money even if you do. This smiths has the worst customer service and rudest cashiers.
This store is going downhill. Bakery is empty, produce looks rotten, small store so not much selection, click list is awful, fuel points are pointless with no gas station. They only have large shopping carts no small ones. The worst Smiths I have ever shopped at and unfortunately it s the closest one to my house.
I just left this Smiths and i had the WORST experience. The cashier at the self checkout doesnt know what shes doing, and did not even offer to help me with the issue i was having she told me i needed to go see a cashier and there was only 1 working so my daughter and i waited in line we had the RUDEST cashier at register number 9, i wish i could remember her name she was very aggressive, a stink face the whole time throwing my groceries to the bagger and then when i went to pay she had the ugliest attitude. i expressed that Smith workers are very rude i paid and asked my daughter to grab our receipt and the cashier balled up the receipt and threw it on the register for my daughter to grab. We will never be shopping here again.
Went to the pharmacy for the flu & covid vaccine. I had an appointment and there was very little wait time. The people at the pharmacy were friendly and easy to work with.
Crystal from the Bakery was amazing! We have been running to smiths all over the valley looking for the Stone Fire Flatbread; every store has only had 1-2 packages & we need like 14. Crystal immediately hopped to helping us out by taking our information & letting us know she d call us within an hour to let us know how many would be coming tomorrow and that she d hold as many as we need. The level of genuine care & consideration for our situation was unparalleled. Talk about world-class customer service. Smith s in Draper, UT is lucky to have you, Crystal!
If I could give this smiths location negative 5 stars, I would. I ve never seen a more FILTHY store- not to mention the terrible customer service. Wow. Especially the store director and assistant store director. Two thumbs down.
I wanted to say that I had a not so great experience a few weeks ago with 2 employees in the same night. Both were blatantly rude, disrespectful, also embarrassed a shopper and the employee was wrong I had not been back to Smith s until this week. When employees do this, customers will go to other stores to avoid that store When you have employees that are blatantly rude or could help you but choose not too, that affects a customers shopping experience I did return this past week, 4 weeks later. I had two employees that bent over backwards and were very kind. That is the service that I had always received at Smith s So the few that choose not to do their jobs should understand it is your job to help customers, not to diminish or embarrass a customer. So please in the future even if you are perturbed because a customer does not know your computer system or how it calculates, or if we do not know where a product is because it was moved remember you are paid to help Some are of us are new customers which is what you should want!
DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!! THIS PLACE IS SO DIRTY I WORKED HERE FOR ABOUT 2 AND A HALF WEEKS AND COULDNT STAND WORKING HERE AND HAD TO LEAVE THERE WERE RATS AND ANIMALS THAT WOULD GET IN THROUGH THE LOADING BAY CAUSE IT STAYS OPEN AT NIGHT!!! ITS SO GROSS THEY GET INTO EVERYTHING!!! THEY STILL HAVENT PAID ME FOR MY TIME EITHER!!!
I stopped going to this Smiths even though this is the closest one from my house. They used to be good but I started getting bad experience everytime I go here. Prices were not accurate, cash register employees were so unprofessional (they are busy talking to co-workers rather than helping customers), the last straw was when I bought a cheese with green mold on it. I went back next day to complain and not only I received no apology but she said My uncle would say, just think as you took Penicillin... I am sorry but who would want to shop at the store like this?
Multiple buy and save are a great value.
Their scooters are ALWAYS broken down. Today they had one working one and FIVE that were broken. I bought meat that was marked down to $10. I got it home and although it looked good it was rotten!! Stunk to high heaven!!. I was told by the guy in the meat department to bring it back in. When I went to return it, I was told by customer service that the never return marked down meat once that sticker goes on, there is no guarantee it s not rotten!!! What a horrible business practice!! You should stand behind what you sell and if you think it might be iffy or bad, throw it out!! Don t pawn it off on consumers who are trying to stretch their dollar and feed their family!! I bought a Kroger turkey that was about $25 when I went to cook that it smelled off. After it was all cooked up, it still did not smell right. It made everyone, except my vegan kids sick. REALLY sick!! I have decided NEVER to shop at that store again, cause the few times I have, their food has been bad!! Unless you want to be horribly sick with stomach cramps, throwing up, explosive diarrhea . Stay FAR AWAY from this smiths and their rotten food department!! I am not sure HOW this location got such high ratings in looking over the reviews, 90% of them were negative one star so I am sad that a once great store has taken such a nose dive and massive turn for the worse. I prefer giving great reviews . But when there is an issue or a big problem, I want to share that and hopefully spare others from a negative experience.. Smiths on 12800 South is Draper is one of those places you will want to avoid!!
This store needs cleaning ,its disturbing how many aisles have not been kept up to par. Around the eggs is disgusting .Salmonella poisoning does that ring a bell You need to be reported to the health department . this is disgraceful .been getting rotten food from here .
Ive been shopping at Smiths for over 20 years. Tonight I was very disappointed at how I was treated when arriving at the Draper store. Store hours state that they are open until 11. I was hurrying to the store tonight to grab one thing and one thing only and I knew exactly what that one thing was. I would have been in and out in 2 minutes. To my dismay when I arrived at 10:55 an employee was already closing the doors. I approached the doors and asked if I could please just grab my one item. And he told me that the manager closes the doors 5 minutes early and no one else is allowed in. When I asked again very nicely if I could please just grab my one item, I was again told no and that they close the doors 5 minutes early so they can finish helping the customers already inside. I get it, I worked retail for many years. No one likes the people that come that close to closing. I was even a manager at one retailer. And I can tell you I NEVER closed our doors before our listed hours said we closed. The hours dont state open until 11, but we close our doors at 10:55. And even when I was closing the doors, if someone approached and said they just needed one item, I always let them in. As a manager, the customer was always my priority. Had I shown up at 11 or after, I totally would have understood. But this was no way to treat a customer who actively chooses to shop Smiths over places like Harmons or Dans. Harmons is actually closer to my house, and had I opted to go there, Im sure they would have let me in. I guess thats where I will be shopping from now on.
Worst Smith s I had went. Every time I went there, food is always under stocked no matter what time of day. I would recommend other Smiths instead.
This is one of the better smiths
Would be nice if the Meat service counter actually stayed open until 8 like posted! Everytime I come in its already broken down and closed by 630.
Amazing staff! Love ya guys!
They don t answer the phone. I am handicapped and needed to speak with a manager but after 5 minutes of ringing I said screw it I will start shopping elsewhere. I use a delivery service due to handicapped...Oh my God, I just read the other posted Reviews and Will Not Have my shopping service Ever go there again!!! Filthy store. What the hell????????????
Cheese selection is much more limited than other Smiths stores. Even the Logan Smiths has a wraparound cheese island. Was really surprised and disappointed this location doesnt.
Nice.
A good verity of things. Having a second hand store is good for crafting things.
Trash they think it s ok to close everything early everyday such a sad store
Great place to buy Sunny-D
Always friendly staff
No drinking water, start being worst for last 3 years, also very often sell fruits in very bad condition
There was a fat old guy (employee) who was extremely rude & a little hostile towards me. Ill never shop here!
I dont get great cell service in their parking lot, which makes pick up orders a real pain. Just had some guy get really testy with me, as if he was having a nervous breakdown, because he couldnt hear me very well
Pharmacy staff is rude and doesn t accept new patients?
Always helpful staff and stocked consistently.
The shorter fat lady with the brown hair is the rudest person ever. I think shes the manager or something but she should get fired. I was grabbing some things and she was blasting annoying music from her phone or something while restocking shelves near me. Never seen an employee do that ever what kind of example is she setting???? There was also a taller lady with blonde highlights I think who was harassing someone picking something up from the pharmacy just because they were talking loud. I guess they hire anyone now. Going to find a Smiths with better employees.
Love this place for pharmacy and also cat food blue Buffalo
Smiths is not complying with the mask mandate from the Salt Lake County Health Department. I was just there and 40% of the customers had no masks on and 1/2 the employees had masks hanging off their face. I mentioned it to the manager (Preston) who said they wont ask any customers to wear a mask because its too dangerous for them. When asked about the employees with the masks off, he shrugged. Aside from that, the store was dirty and completely disheveled. Ill be shopping elsewhere, moving forward.
I moved to Draper from south Davis County. This is the worst Smiths Ive ever had the displeasure to patron. The parking is a disaster. Frequently out of stock inventory. Their produce is selection is limited and shoddy. Their sale items have been mislabeled. (Comforts baby food is $.79, but at the register, its over a $1.) They have a 14 day return policy. (Even though their employees messed up my pick-up order.) I had a stigma against Walmart my whole life, but the Draper Walmart is far superior. I will never go to this Smiths again. I miss the Smiths in Woods Cross so much.
Great employees here. Except for Mike. If you have bread, chips, flowers, or eggs hell grab them and handle them with no more care than handling a brick. Grab and toss. Grab and toss.
Great staff. Clean and organized. Good prices. You feel welcome.
The produce at the store is awful. I have wasted at least 50 dollar on different produce items that aren t edible even with an expiration date 4-7 days away. The staff is always nice though!
They do NOT have MoneyGram here.
Poor covid protection. Harmons does better protecting customers. Half the customers don t wear masks. They don t enforce any guidelines. Very disappointed. Ps. Produce is awful.
Always a good place to shop, nice people and good prices. Very clean and easy to find stuff.
at least don t close the door 10mins to close, especially, the night before mother s day!! smh.. buying flowers will not last for 5mins. disappointing
This draper location is not a great Smiths. The store layout is very confusing, and on a Saturday morning they only had two lanes open to check out. I guess they want to us to check ourselves out now. For that I think we should get lower prices on our groceries.
I came in to exchange some coins at the CoinStar located in side Smith s for work. I then came up to the guest services counter and noticed it was busy with only one cashier, so I tracked down another associate for help after he walked by and ignored another customer standing in line. So I tracked hime down only to be met with rudeness. He said he didn t understand my question, which was... could we get some more help at the guest counter? , he seems very irritated that I even asked that question.
I showed up at 10:55 and as I was quickly walking towards the doors, 20 feet from the entrance, the worker at the door let a woman who was right in front of me into the store but then shut them on me and told me I couldn t come in. I was the only one in the parking lot and he said they don t let anyone in 5 minutes before close and he had just let someone in literally right in front of me. I would have been in and out of the store by close. If your hours are til 11 and you are the only convenience store open, stick to your hours please.
little vegan cheese, lots of 69
Smiths always has great prices and great products. Im willing to travel a bit further because I know what I get here will typically be cheaper and better than other stores. The self checkout makes you wait until youve bagged your items before itll let you scan the next item. Just a heads up that it may be frustrating if you try to use self checkout for a big shopping trip.
Horrible self checkout machines. Constantly says to place item in bags when they are already in bagging area.
It seems that the level of service at this Smiths has sharply declined. On my last 2 visits there were no full service checkouts available. The only option was to use the self serve checkouts. Normally Im ok with that, but when you have a full cart its difficult and time consuming. (The self serve checkouts at this Smiths always tell you to put your item in the bag even though youve done it). Last night the person monitoring the self checkouts was absolutely no help. Half the time she left the area and spent most of her time talking to 3 other employees by the restrooms. If you have 3 employees with nothing to do, how about opening a couple of full serve checkouts for your customers? Both of these visits were around 7:30pm.
the employee are realt nice they allways help me find what i need and the service is awsome
Never coming here again. The guy sanitizing the carts at this time 9:30pm looked at me weird and didn t greet me. He greeted the people infront and the people coming in behind me. The lady at self checkout Robin, didn t seem to want to help me out. Never coming here. I felt so uncomfortable and I really want to think it s because of my race. Nice store though. Just employees ruined it for me & its my FIRST TIME here.
Clean well stocked store. All employees, except one, was wearing their masks properly. Self checkout, multi colored long haired, young lady had her big ol nose hanging out suckin in the possible covid and possibly exhaling it out.
For the most part the store is well kept and clean. But everytime we check out it seems the baggers either give one of our bags to another customer by mistake and we get someone elses bag. Probably wont shop at this location anymore because of it. Id rather bag it myself like at WinCo, that way theres no mistakes like such
They have great deals and discounts if you know where to look
Great prices
Store manager is great.
Excellent selections. Fair prices. Parking lot was clean of snow & slush. Lots of open cash registers due to plenty of friendly cashiers working.
Clean, well lighted, organized, and friendly service.
Dont shop here. Horrible customer service.
I love the Smiths on 12300 south! Great staff, fast service. Having them do my shopping for me is flawless, saving me time. Thank you
I love Smiths but this Smiths is run down there is a lot of stains in the roof tiles. Not sure if theres black mold up there or what. I do shop there all the time but it would be really nice if they could take care of the infrastructure they have.
Great store with awesome employees
Great store with a great team running it!
The self checkout is much easier to use than other grocery stores I have been to. The employees are very kind. Its easy to use your rewards and coupons.
Great selections of food items, always have great customer service, and they are always willing to help find those small items you can never find. Love shopping at Smiths
Oh my the women out here are incredibly nice!!! Wow very friendly and beautiful. The store was ok as well. You all made a old man feel happy to meet people again. Thank you.
I love Smiths prices and quality
Okay. Not a great cheese selection...
Love to shop at Smiths!
Great selection on everything and good prices
Can you guys please keep your egg whites stocked. ALWAYS out of them and it s ridiculous. Going to start going to Harmon s.
Huei-Lin IS THE BEST! OH MY GOSH!!! I was in a bad rush and she was working the deli. I arrived late and they were already closed but she was so sweet and even after cleaning the blade she helped me!!! LOVE HER!!! SHE NEEDS A FREAKING RAISE
Been going here for years but lately we get charged often for things that say they re on sale, and the biggest turn off is how terrible it smells near the front of the store
Today we had a wonderful experience with Ike. Completely different from Seri.
Excellent service, clean store, wide variety of items and well stocked store. Richard A. was working the bagging today and he was literally running from register to register helping everyone. Whatever you are paying him, he should get double. He was happy and cheerful and hustling.
Staff is always friendly and helpful
Dont take Visa Cards. Really! Spent 5 minutes trying to do self check out.
If you like hoarding cats you will love this location. Normally I love Smiths but seriously this Smiths smells so bad. Its like someone is hiding bodies in the produce department. Ive been complaining about it for months. I cant go back anymore. Its been a few hours since I was there last, my wife says she needs to burn her shirt. I cant imagine that the regional management is okay with that smell. If you hoard cats or know someone that hoards cats you maybe equipped with the nasal fortitude to shop here. Strangely enough when I arrived at Draper park this morning the police were cleaning up a dismembered finger. Seeing that finger was less disturbing than the smell at Smiths today.
Pick up service was a Great experiencie... I just order online, drove there, called and waited. They came in thw next 5 min. and brought me a cold bottle of water.... It was Amazing.... I went to pick up an order in Sams club in South Jordan and was a horrible experience.
Parking lot is nightmare but prices, variety of selections, pretty organized and stocked given the amount of shoppers here. The wait for checkout is moderate if busy but during normal hours you can at the very least walk straight to an open self checkout. Everyone is happy and helpful. The pharmacy is the stand out 5 star amazing department at this location above all else. Thanks to their main head pharmacist with the darker complexion and has worked here for at least 10 years!!!!! So happy, helpful, fast, and remembers me every time and knows my usual requests!!! Always the cheapest rx prices around due to GoodRX and Krogers low prices as is!!! Worth driving farther to go to this grocery store for the Pharmacy and the prices, which their fuel points help the farther drive :)
friendly services and quick to help when I was looking for a product
Not the best smiths, but its also not the worst. My only concerns is that since the location is smaller, but they still have to sell most of the Smiths product line, it makes organization kind of hard. That and the lighting hurt my eyes. However other than that, this place is a satisfactory grocery store.
Worst Smiths Ive been to and shopped at. Ive shopped here more than 20 times. They have a Horrible parking lot. Theres always traffic jam. Terrible custo service. Lazy workers. Not a good selection of items. Always out of stock of things I need. Prices arent much better than Harmons. Do not shop. This place needs to be relocated.
Smiths is a bit of an odd place to me. The stores always feel a bit shabby and disheveled. On the other hand, the selection is okay, prices are middle of the road and quality of meat and produce is decent enough, unlike other places in the valley. I would not expect high quality food here though.
Wish this once family owned business had not been sold out to Kroger.
Stopped by quickly
I like Smiths. But if you are debating between this location and another location, go with the other location. Still more affordable than Harmons. And produce will last longer than the 1 day that Walmart produce lasts. But this Smiths was simply built upon a piece of land that wasnt large enough. Its small. And it runs out of things more than a larger Smiths does.
Store does not restock during the day so if you come in the evening you won t find most items you need. Also they are forcing everyone to self checkout.
Likes to shopping at Smiths and this is one of the best Smiths Ive been to so far. The only downside is that I wish the female staff at the self checkout could be more patient and friendly. Had multiple bad experiences with her.
Very friendly employees and always willing to help and to make you satisfied. BUT. . .Small store. Very limited selection. Store finds out what you like to buy, then substitutes their house brands. Waited for 5 years for my Post Banana Nut Crunch cereal to come back. Beef is usually good, but their fish is sometimes iffy. We have gotten lobster tails there that were black inside when we open them up to cook them. They also smelled like Pier water. Vitamins cost too much. One time I found Roses lime juice that was dark colored and a year and a half out of date. Check the dates on the food and packaging.
CXxxx
Great Smiths but dont expect a marketplace. Just a good ol fashioned grocery store.
Not a 24 hour store! Please change your hours in the GPS.
Not open 24 hours as stated on google. Closes at 1 am
Fast and quiet
This Smith s grocery and pharmacy are top notch! The staff are friendly helpful and the store is orderly, well stocked, and clean. Great prices and choices. I especially want to commend the pharmacy for taking care of me with care and compassion. They are professional, knowledgeable and ethical in every way and they are respectful of my privacy and my time. I have never had to wait in line for an excessive amount of time and the one time it was busier they kept me updated and let me know they were aware I was waiting and they would be right with me at the same time not diminishing the customer they had in front of them at the time. The Smiths pharmacy staff are also caring and aware of costs, they are willing to use my GoodRx app to allow me to get the best prices. They are so kind, helpful, and friendly it makes me feel good to know I can take my prescriptions in and be treated as not only a valued customer but as a human being, a valued.person.
They say that the store works 24 hours, but I went there around 12:30 and it was CLOSE. I was hungry and expecting to get something to eat. Don t say that you are 24 hours Place, if you are not.
Smith s is always great. They have lots of charitable initiatives going on including Zero Hunger, Zero Waste in conjunction with the Utah Food Bank, and The Salvation Army, but they stopped taking Apple Pay so I can t give them full marks.
Great shopping experience! Always friendly service, clean store and great produce.
These employees are out of touch. They are not even educated about their own app I will not waste my time or money at this store. The manager didnt even know about the Smiths app. Shouldnt this be a thing they teach their employees? Too many other Smiths stores around to bother with this one.
