Excellent store for pets, there is almost everything and a unique personalized service.

My favorite Petco location. Great staff, great stock, great sales, etc.

Terrible customer service. The person who was going to take care of my cat wasnt even there at the time of the appointment. They asked me for information that they didnt tell me over the phone and I had to travel 30 minutes with my kitten to come and they didnt even attend to him. Horrible staff. Also the place smells so bad.

Petrol is expensive. I am a cat rancher and due to age and health conditions my cats require a special type of food. Instead of keeping the food prescription on file I have to bring this veterinary prescription with me every time I buy cat food. The vets note is so old its barely readable any more. I can get refills for human prescriptions easier than this. Very silly policy!

We ve had such a great experience with the grooming at the Draper Petco! Becki S. Has been grooming our shih tzu for over a year and we have nothing but praise for Becki! Becki is so kind to our dog and listens to our requests. Highly recommend Becki!

They have a lot of ok pet items. The problem is that they charge for bags in utah as if this place is california. Why are states that dont have this policy charging for a place has that policy. Im sure this is a type of theft

This store is understaffed and there is normally only one or two employees in the store. If you need help with fish, mice, birds, or reptiles you will wait for 40 or minutes if helped at all. Last time I went in I ended up leaving with no help and no items. Do better.

Taking a trip to petco, made me remember why I don t go to petco. Their selection of dog food is so sparse I couldnt find even one of the three bags I needed. Left empty handed because they are trash and am off to Petsmart!

It was a really nice clean store, but the vetco employees were very unprofessional and unorganized. The girl was new, but it got very frustrating trying to explain to her what I needed done multiple times. But she was very sweet and I hope her training continues and she does great!

Store is kept clean, but last 2 times I ve been here, there was a different girl at the counter each time, both looking like they re about to fall asleep at the checkout counter. When I got there to checkout, no hello, no goodbye, no thank you, and only 1 of them asked if I had a phone number (I do). Customer service can really impact the way I look at a store, and I m not very impressed.

They were out of the Acana butchers blend that I usually buy and so I chose a different flavor. I have a free bag of dog food and a $5 reward on my account but the app has quit working. They usually call to get it for me but the girl told me I would have to call and so I didn t get my reward or feee bag of food.

Staff was helpful but no suet blocks or mealworms.

Have all the right stuff for your pet.

I love when coupons are offered for our dog food that is a little bit more pricy.

Been shopping at this location for years now. Today I came by to buy some crickets for my pets and the employee over there was in such a bad mood and responded with sarcasm and saying I GUESS I can fetch you crickets, but you will have to wait now with the biggest attitude. Find employees that will work with a good energy even when they are having to deal with personal problems outside of the work place. No one wants to go there and have their day dragged down because the employee doesn t want to be there. Thank you

My wife took my dog here to get groomed and it was a horrible experience. The sad part is that my dog did not have the bad experience, it was my wife. Two of the employees were beyond rude. She had not left the store yet and the two girls were calling her stupid and other explicit mean names for forgetting to update the dogs weight on his profile - an honest mistake that she was very apologetic about. We will for sure be taking our business elsewhere and the managers should be ashamed for hiring people who are that rude and unprofessional.

For the adoption is the saddest and the worst thing To ever experience. I tried for 4 days to get in contact with the person that does the adoption job and they won t answer nether messages, calls and emails! This is so sad to see the same pets here for days or maybe weeks and no one give them attention! The cats looks so down and stressed out that they are in a ver small box for days and the box is dirty as well! So sad to see how here in petco works with pets. And Couple of minutes later, they block me for calling them. I really hope this people pay for this and in how they treat this poor pets!

I can t believe how excited my dog gets when we take him to his spaw-day! He used to shake and push against me when I took him to another groomer. After I had witnessed some abuse toward another animal in that place, we left and didn t know where to go. I was hesitant to try a big chain like Petco but once we started going to Draper - it was more like a small and quaint place. The groomers are all kind to him. They listen and they do a great job. I trust my dog in their hands and he always comes back looking great and happy!

Took my dog to get groomed here and they were so quick and super friendly! Very nice to my dog especially since she was really nervous and scared!!

I bring my dog to get groomed at this location and I always leave a happy customer, and so does my dog.

We took our dog for a haircut and they didn t tell us that they cut her ear while grooming her.

Don t let your pet get Vaccinated here. The vets are contractors. If something happens, they won t help you out instead will shout you and kick you out of the door.

We purchased an aquarium at the West Jordan location and when trying to put it in the trunk it accidentally cracked. After the manager rudely refused to help us, one of the employees suggested we try the Draper location to see if they could exchange it. We called the Draper location and explained the situation and they were shocked that the West Jordan location wouldn t help us out and said they would help us. When we arrived to do the exchange, they knew exactly who we were and happily did the exchange. We will now drive out of the way to shop at this location instead of the West Jordan location because of how fantastic their customer service was.

Bought a glow fish and was told if it died within 30 days to bring it back with the receipt for an exchange. They failed to mention having to bring a water sample.

Charged double what the quote was for dog grooming. Added a bunch of shop and supply fees. I used the weight from when she had her rabies shot at the same Petco a week before. The cost for my small dog was $35 more than my large poodles at another groomer. Wont use the grooming services again.

Bad service nothing else to say

Booked golden retriever for bath and haircut, he came back with his legs still dirty and his undercarriage was a complete hack job. Staff was rude and unhelpful, did not give a overview of services performed; just had me pay BEFORE I even saw him, then just handed him off to me to leave without any words. On my way out someone yelled that it would be helpful for more crate training as he got out multiple times - but my dog IS crate trained and has always behaved very well at every other groomers, as they ve told me. Dog has been limping the last few days, leads me to believe they did not treat him very well, and I m wondering why he was even in a crate that long for a grooming session. Don t book with Sierra groomer

They have a lot of groomers and they do a fantastic job. I come from Park City to take my dog here.

The vets were super kind. I appreciated how well they treated my dog. My issue is not with the service but with their website. I booked a urgent care exam and a wellness check on the website for my dog and when I got there they let me know that they only do vaccinations at their location. I feel like this should have been specified on the website. There were other people who showed up with their pets for a different type of appointment that they scheduled as well and were turned away because they needed more than just vaccinations for their dog. The vet tech that helped me provided me with some information so that I could go to a different location (once an appointment opened up in a few days) but my main concern is that you can book emergency vet visits for this location what if someone brings their pet in for an emergency and wastes valuable time getting their pet the help they need. Again the vet techs were great! It s not their fault and I can tell they have to deal with this issue all the time because of the misleading information on the Vetco Website.

I have been getting my dog groomed at PetSmart for the last year. Petco did a way better job for the same price. I wont be going back to PetSmart. Great customer service.

While vacationing in Utah to see family I loved that I was able to book grooming services via the Petco app, just like I do at home. I slept through my alarm, but when I called to see if they could squeeze my chug in, the technician was so gracious and assured me it was ok, and they could work her in. Upon arrival, the tech was kind and reassured my pug by taking the time to get to know her, rather than just a quick, check to ensure she was healthy and would allow the tech to work on her. I got a text that she was ready about two hours after drop-off and pick-up was easy and quick! This is definitely a location worth using! Thanks, Petco for another great experience!

Scheduled a grooming for my dog in Draper. No reply so I called to confirm. They bumped me to the next day. Said it would take about 4 hours and to plan accordingly. I took the day off. Next day I got a text 20 minutes before my appt. They cancelled my appointment. I left a message for them to call and let me know the plan. It s now 3:00 and I still haven t heard anything. Going to buy some clippers and do this myself. Horrrrrrrible service in my opinion. Check out the other 1 star reviews. I wish I would have. I received a reply to this review. Strangely enough I have not received a phone call yet to re-schedule or ask me how to make it right.

I used to really love this place, and still do. The problem with this location in draper is that they are hardly ever stocked. You cant really find anything and that is disappointing. Especially when youre looking for just a basic water bowl thats off the ground

Charging for bags in Utah

I know it is hard to find good people in the retail business, but however, the young man that helped me out today, I believe his name is Rage, was pretty awesome to work with I highly recommend you give him a raise

I came into the store today to get two ferrets since I recently had to put down my ferrets Simba and Pumba. After spending a good ten minutes looking at the ferrets, I asked an employee to let me hold a couple of the ferrets, and she shoed me out the door and told me to go to Pet Smart instead. Thats a seven hundred dollar purchase that they obviously didnt care out, so how could you trust these guys to do the best for your pets for way less. The team as this Petco is just desperate to finish their shifts and go home, so they obviously shouldnt be trusted with your loved ones. If you are looking to buy a ferret, I would recommend trying to adopt them off of KSL like I did with my last two, so you are helping ferrets that are in need of a new home.

Cashier was very friendly. Was greeted politely by someone when I came in. Found what I was looking for easily. Loved the selection.

Love the animals and toys but it s smelly like every other Petco

I have purchased all my hamsters at Petsmart over the years. Each time I have made a purchase there has been an employee that answers any questions I have about the hamsters. Upon purchase they will place the hamster in a reliable solid cardboard carrying box to get your new pet safely home. I decided to give Petco in Draper a try and none of the employees could answer any questions about the hamsters I was interested in. I was told the person who would know anything would be in on Tuesday or to google information I needed. I wasn t impressed but this was from the worst part of this location. I decided to make a purchase and instead of giving me a solid cardboard box like Petsmart, they gave me a box literally comparable to a happy meal box. On the drive home my new pet had quickly chewed a hole through the box and jumped out onto the seat which caught me off guard and nearly caused me to wreck on the freeway with my 10 month old baby in the car. I then spent hours of my Sunday night trying to catch the hamster in the car. I would recommend staying away from Petco and finding a Petsmart instead.

I booked an appointment for my border collie and was able to get her in the very next day. Haircut, bath and groom were top notch! Her nails were trimmed down perfectly and she looks and feels so good! I was super impressed with how the groomer/Zoie, listened and took notes as to what I wanted done, and delivered! I ve not had that same service elsewhere. Thanks Zoie at Petco in Draper! I will definitely recommend and be back.

I think its great for dog related items, but I think they lack on stuff for cats, I often have to go to online sources like Amazon or Chewy to find what I need for my cats.

I would put no stars if i could. I delt with 4 women there and all of them seemed bothered that we were there and the trainer was incredibly rude. If you need pet supplies i would recomend scheels they have lots of pet stuff and employees that want to be there and help you.

Switched over to PetCo after a couple of disappointing experiences at PetsMart. This is a longer drive but well worth it for the better customer service, and overall better store experience.

We took our dog here to get groomed. We are very happy with the results but we went in there only expecting to pay for the $50 service we scheduled for, when getting there the lady at the grooming front desk told us there was a cheaper option if we went with another package. We ended up doing that but then later when picking up our dog we found out that they just added that to the previous service we originally wanted bringing the total to twice the amount we expected to pay. There was no transparency in the communication and they wouldn t refund the amount they didn t inform me on only offered a free bath. I would avoid this location so you don t get up charged.

We brought our puppy here for a grooming appointment. It seems they assigned her to a very inexperienced tech. After three hours, we got a call that the puppy was too wiggly for them to complete the service. They were only able to give her a bath but the tech admitted that another tech was able to cut around our puppy s face. Why not have her the more experienced tech do the entire service? Of course a puppy is going to be wiggly. I think they just wanted to go home and not bother with the rest of the service since it was around 5:00 PM. They charged us the full price for the bath ($50) and made us pay for it before we saw our dog so we couldn t see just how much they didn t do. I m so surprised they wouldn t do more to try to make the customer happy, either by offering a discount or having a more experienced tech perform the service. Doing so would have earned our future business. Not doing so has lost it. There are too many other options out there to be treated this way.

This Petco had one of the best layouts and selections along with great signs and pet setups. I just went to return something from another store {i have been in several lately for the holidays} and it caught my eye and I actually took a trip around for fun and left with a smile. Staff were very friendly also.

We took our 5 month old puppy Lulu to get groomed and bathed, the ladies were fast and friendly and very patient and calm with a hyper puppy. They really did an amazing job and for a very good price.

This is a great location. This Petco is becoming well staffed, whom are extremely kind and friendly. We appreciate you, however, we do often find spilled food under the isle shelves, and crickets jumping around.

I know its hard not having enough employees but man I was Terribly disappointed in my visit. And I chose to drive further to your store to avoid PetSmart. There were pallets everywhere making it near impossible to get the puppy food I needed. I had to climb in between a pallet and the shelves and step up on the pallet to reach a far back bag! I would have asked for help but the two employees were busy helping others at the time. The lack of options for dog beds was also frustrating so I didnt buy any. Everything seemed highly over priced compared to Chewy and even Petsmart which I prefer to avoid, but Ill be using Chewy from here on out. I spent $300+ that day gathering the very basics for our two puppies and felt like I was robbed. The only plus was the two employees who were very kind and doing their best in their awful situation.

Walked around looking for someone to help me with Senior cat food. Finally found a girl, but she told me she had to clean the glass on the fish tanks first. So I left.

Picked up some fish. The young lady that helped me was super nice.

It was the worst experience I ve ever had. My pancake was so anxious, he peed himself, he was blamed of biting, he s just a puppy! but I found some areas on his body really irritated, the girl didn t finish the job, Pancake s head wasn t touched at all, the assistant didn t clean the ears or cut the nails. At the beginning I though I could handle the situation with kindness but as soon as I got home I realized how bad my dogs hair was, I had to finish her job at home and I paid 83 dlls for this disaster.

Its always a good time going here. Theyve got a good number of live animals that come and go and the staff are wonderful.

The staff at this location are why we keep coming back! Louis was gifted a couple of unsellable plush squeaky toys today. Which he LOVES. He had to post his haul and say thanks for always being stocked and clean. A bit out of the way but absolutely worth it, thanks!

Bought 10 fish. Wasnt told how to take care of them. I researched online what I needed to keep the fish happy and healthy. Two days later 8 fish died. My 7 year old was very sad. I feel bad that they died. They do have a 30 day money back.

Bought an expensive salt water fish that died within 24 hrs of taking it home, went back to the store and they said they don t guarantee salt water fish. Never buying fish here again.

I ve been coming to this location for years now any time I need something for my dog or even just want to take her somewhere and get her a nice treat. The staff has always been friendly, the store setup is easy to navigate, the animals are adorable, and I ve never had any issues with their products.

This review is specifically for Petco Grooming. When I think about how well my dog has been groomed through the past 6+ grooms, about half were done very well and half were done terribly. We have a specific groomer for Quora, but I won t call her name out. If she reads this, she will know who she is. She did an Easter haircut on Quora that was near perfect! Nice clean even hair, beautifully even top knot. She gave it 100%. We just got a grooming done in June, and it is a 30% effort. All of Quora s hair is uneven. The top knot is very uneven. The only part that looks good is her undershave and paws. With only performing well about 50-50% of the time, I will have to find a new groomer.

Its extremely annoying when you rush to go to a store to get dog food youre out of to find out that for some reason the employees decided to close early. No point in having open and close times if youre not gonna be there when youre supposed to be open.

Grooming comment only. Groomer was late. Finally arrived with a terrible attitude. Acted like my dog and I were a complete inconvenience. She/he told me that our rabies vaccination had expired a couple days prior. No biggie. I have his updated tags and worst case, I could have his records faxed real quick. They didnt offer any other solution. Dont bring your pup babies here for grooming. Theyre overpriced and its a hit or miss as far as quality. Plus my puppy is always so nervous to be here, only place he hates going to. Listen to your pets.

No staff and a low arrangement of pets available.

This location is usually our go to for all kinds of different things. They re great! But the vaccination clinic isn t.. The entire time our puppy got vaccinated, the vet (or the guy who was giving him shots) was extremely confused and looked tired and aggravated. He kept having to turn around and ask the other people working with them questions. There was confusion with an older dog and our puppy. They turned around and asked me what my dogs name was AFTER a shot had already been given to him. It was clear he didn t know what he was doing. And he wasn t gentle with my dog. He s bruised badly after having the shots. It wasn t this bad last time. The vet is a tall guy with dark hair. I don t think I ll take him back. The situation was way more stressful than it should ve been.

The rewards program changes often to benefit the business and screw the consumer. I ve purchased almost $1,000 of dog food in the last 6 months and don t have a single reward due to their changes. PetSmart has better prices and better customer care. Another incident of this location not honoring the rewards program.

Groomer was 4 hours late to our appointment and had quite the attitude. There are also lots of little hidden fees haircut, they didnt even clean out my dogs ears. The place was also kind of grungy and felt really dirty and gross.

A little messy, but I found everything I needed for a decent price so I cant complain to much.

Today was a much needed spa day for little Kiwi ! When I picked him up, I was happy with his cut ( disappointed w/groomer not putting puppy cologne and bandana on him) But Attempted to defend the charge of long haired dog, when I brought him in with short hair.

It would be my only stop for pets but they dont have my cat food.

Just wanted to give a shout out to the management and staff of this store. I was caught in a 24 hour power outage after a heavy winter storm on New Year s Day. Not only was Petco Draper open to help me on January 1st, but they were able to supply me with a battery powered air stone that saved the life of all of my fish. A woman that appeared to be a manager (?) even gave me some extra D batteries she had spare so I could run home and turn on the air stone immediately. Just wanted to say thank you to a bunch of people that truly care about pets.

Sarah H. Is a remarkable groom who is patient and kind with my dog. He has a lot of fear around the whole grooming process but Sarah H. continues to make each visit a better experience for him.

I can not believe the service we have had here. We made our appointment 2 months ago. We came last Saturday for our appointment and they told us it was canceled and moved to the next week. We came back this Saturday and they told us our groomer that our dog was assigned to is not in today. NO Phone call text message or anything of the sort. We have driven up here twice with two canceled appointments and no warning. We are very upset! They moved us to next Saturday, hopefully we get seen! Zoey was very helpful today to get us rescheduled and explain the situation. This is one of the most unprofessional experiences I ve ever had.

I wish I could leave more stars because this place and it s employees honestly deserve all of the praise and recognition. Today my cat was bitten on the face by something and it pierced her iris, causing it to fill with blood and be unable to dilate. After being reassured that Blue Pearl Pet ER could at least check her out in the waiting room while we wait to take her back for an exam (the exam wait was quoted 4-6 hours), we went there first. Only to wait for 2 hours without anyone even speaking to us, let alone making sure Willow wasn t in critical condition. We finally left feeling like we could make better use of our time before an infection took hold, if we could only find the right medication. Walmart was a bust and when we got to Petco, I broke down to the employee because I knew they were closing but this was an emergency. Out of sheer goodness, I was helped by a super kind and knowledgeable employee who helped me immediately find everything Willow needed until we can get her in the office tomorrow. She knew what to recommend and why it was important. That alone would have been enough, but on top of that, I wasn t made to feel like an inconvenience or like this wasn t an emergency, something that I felt at the *actual ER!!*

Has fruit flies for my dart frog, but, only the small container of the Madagascar flies; they dont repopulate as fast as the smaller ones.

I ve been shopping at Petco for years and have never had a bad experience. At least when it comes to the food and treats. My fur babies are spoiled and the food selection they have is pretty awesome. Let s not forget their toys (lab has destroyed every toy) lol but at least the toys here last just a little bit longer for him

The staff is great. My son got a hermit crab at a fair and we went there with no nowledge 9f what we needed to care for it. They walked us to the section we needed and helped us get all set up to bring it home.

Took care of my puppies first grooming experience. Made sure to not try to traumatize my pup on the first visit. Will be returning. Lady Aroura says thank you.

As soon as i walked in, it was like walking into sea world and all the isles look so professional like pet can walk in on two legs, pick up something from the isle, check out and be on their way like nothing was out of the ordinary. It is so very pet friendly, including the animals and not just the owners who take care of them. It is way more welcoming than other pet stores i have went to. The animals are more apart of the environment and it looks like they get more attension and loving support. The fish look bpred and could probbaly use some more stimulation, though i dont yet have an idea for how to do that.. this is the most wonderfull store with animals that i have encountered so far. It felt like family walking in there, no shame or judgement and all excitement, how lovely. If i were asked to help improve here, there would be limited suggestions because it already looks and feel just about perfect.. but dont get me wrong, i love a good challenge of figuring out ideas for improvemnt in any and all areas willing to consider them. Wait, are you hiring? If i could work here, it might just overwhelm my excitement and put a tear in my eye.

Their pet wellness program is a great deal for my Lhasa. Shes a hard keep both with feed and fur.

This was our first time taking koda. I didn t ask for a shorkie haircut, just a short one for everything to grow back even and they did a great job. They brushed his teeth and cut his nails too. He was quite handsome. They groomers were all so nice and attentive to koda! That meant the most to me.

Shelves were a little unorganized, but probably from customers. The bathroom was spotless, so thats a definite plus. The store is decent

Really impressed with the service and quality of work they close at 4 on Saturdays but stayed open until 5:15 to help me out with two cars greatly appreciated the help and they where very polite and the prices where very good without all the hidden fees of most tire places

Came to Petco for a grooming and apparently my buddy was a howler while bathing. The people working with and around him all thought it was adorable and were really nice when I was embarrassed about his loudness. These guys are great and very caring, and did a great job on my dog. I took my Saint Berdoodle in yesterday and I wasnt 100% happy with how it looked. So I reached out to the grooming department and they took him back in today and made him look AMAZING, fixing all those little things! :) so grateful for their staff! Thank you!!

Zoie did such an amazing job grooming our pup, Ripley for her first professional grooming. She went above and beyond making sure she got a full cut even though it was her first time and was patient when Ripley wasn t fond of being trimmed around her face. You can tell Zoie loves animals. Thanks Zoie!

Good Petco and conveniently located in shopping mall - small side street around the corner. Seems short on staff but who isnt these days. High quality items. Minus star for floor cleanliness (but animals allowed, so...) and needs to be stocked. Most cat food supply shelves are empty but that may not be their fault - I have noticed that in other stores as well. May just be a matter of time before it fills up again considering our current overall product movement issue. Everyone who has helped me there has been very nice and knowledgeable about their items and if they dont know about something, they go get someone who knows more.

Its petco. You can get anything you need for almost any kind of pet. If you dont have a pet, they have those too!

We got our dog groomed 2 weeks ago and they cut her ears with the shaver or something and they have progressively gotten worse and worse, bleeding more and more. I would not recommend them to anyone

Only pet store in draper. Great place for pets and supplies. Prices can be up there, but reasonable. One time I saw a aquarium pump on Amazon for under half the price of thiers. Amazingly they honored the Amazon price. They are awesome. Show the love!

Love but a little high priced. We have exotic cats and definitely need a pet store for our supplies. But Im not impressed with the high prices.

I recently became a pet-Peepaw, so I went to this store for the first in a long while to get a few supplies. Although the shelves looked fairly empty (a result of the holidays, no doubt) I was able to find the items I needed. I also found a coupon on their website (for online use only), so I checked out on my phone while inside the store. I took the items to the register, and within minutes, my order showed up in their system... so the smiley cashier thanked me and sent me on my way. The Well and Good Cat Eyewipes are well worth the $10 I spent on them, and Zaza! is on the mend from his Feline Upper Respiratory Infection

They have opened the litter container for me multiple times. No questions asked. Very friendly and helpful staff
