Lovely staff and quality service every time I need them to send me updates records or get a last minute vaccine or during annual checkups. Love this place and its staff!

There was supposed to be a prescription ready, and the girl at the front desk couldnt find it anywhere, so she had another vet fill it out. She was very helpful and nice. It wasnt her fault the prescription wasnt ready

They always took such good care of my boy (a big baby of a German shepherd), & were so compassionate when he passed. Weve been here for every family dog as well. Its always a great experience.

I have a 10 yo English Bulldog, Rocky. He s a wonderful dog but a terrible patient. He gets nervous and a bit aggressive when anyone but me handles him. The staff at Oquirrh is so patient with him when it would be easier to turn him away. Rocky has been a regular patient there for about 4 years. I m so thankful for the Drs and staff there. Thank you! Dr. Nemanic, on call vets, and entire staff are phenomenal. They took such good care of our older dog Weeble. They helped keep him healthy, happy, and content through the end. We were able to enjoy a few more months with him thanks to everyone there. Nothing beats their care, concern or connection.

I cant speak highly enough of this place! 2 pets apparently collaborated and decided itd be great to have emergencies within a few weeks of eachother. They were not only able to squeeze us in (with an ER fee, yes, but a reasonable one!), the follow up care has been absolutely wonderful. Were so grateful!

I m extremely happy I went here for my cats dental procedure. Price is high, but you are going to get that everywhere especially for dental. They took care of my cat Kiki. The front receptionist girl I think her name is Hannah? She was compassionate and when I called wondering for an update she told me I could call as many times as I needed. Everyone answered all my questions, especially the doctor and the staff when I dropped her off. When I picked her up they made it a smooth transition with letting me putting her in her carrier due to her fighting. This shows they always do what s best for the patient. They are very thorough going over any information I needed. I also got a text message checking in on Kiki. Thank you!

Update 2/23/2024: I have went here for a simple exam and Dr. Vass was great. Prices are still high though. I have been going to Oquirrh Hills Vet Center for 10 years now and will not take my dogs (kids) to anyone else. I have seen many different vets there and they are all great! My favorite is Dr. Olsen but I like them all as they are just as passionate as I am about my pets care. They treat you awesome from when you walk in the door to when you leave. They do everything in their power to help with whatever you and your pet needs. Highly recommend to everyone!!!! Update: 10/2020 I have not gone back to Oquirrh Hills since VCA took over. I do not like the vets at Oquirrh hills now. I had a vet get mad about something other people do and I had never even heard of it, felt like he was blaming me for it. I found the best vet that used to work there. Will never return to VCA!

This is an excellent vet clinic! I have taken my dogs and cats here for care for past 7 years. Currently the vets are Drs. Mott, Voss and Ryle, and I have always been happy with each one. The vet tech and front office staff are helpful. One service not provided that I could wish for is boarding care for animals that have medical needs, but a nearby vet clinic DOES provide that, so no big deal. p.s. I am a retired MD, which might help in evaluating my review.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE We have been loyal customers of Oquirrh Hills Veterinary for over 10 years. We were frustrated last year when our doctor missed cancer that had manifested itself in many ways. The diagnosis was completely missed, until we insisted that something was very wrong. We lost our Golden Retriever two months after the correct diagnosis. However, we continued with Oquirrh Hills. Recently, our Lab injured her paw, which required care. We called first thing and requested to have a visit. The receptionist was not sympathetic and simply stated the injury was beyond the scope of the veterinarians, and they did not have time to see our dog. We asked if they would see her paw (in person or picture) to confirm this was the case. Absolutely no was the response, and she tried to push us to the VCA hospital. With no choice, we chose another clinic, who expertly and kindly handled the case. They were surprised our veterinarian would not see our pet and noted the injury was completely in the scope of what could be handled at Oquirrh Hills. The behavior of Oquirrh Hills Veterinary was callous and unacceptable. They showed a complete lack of compassion for our situation. They are happy to take your payments if they are not inconvenienced. As a rule, we do not leave reviews, but feel this situation should be shared with fellow pet owners. We will NOT ever return.

This animal hospital is amazing. We had a really great experience with our first dog and have come here for our new dog as well. Dr Mott is super compassionate and kind and has helped us work out some stuff we had been dealing with for our dog. We have also visited with Dr Vaas who is pretty knowledgeable and helpful as well. We will probably come here with every animal we have as long as the care stays consistent.

My dog has Addisons so when shes showing signs of stress we try to get her seen right away. I was a walk in on very short notice, this was my first time at the VCA in Herriman. We were helped so quickly by a doctor and veterinary staff who were extremely kind and empathetic to my worry and questions. They treated her so quickly and carefully. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful, it was such a relief to be seen by them. Thank you VCA!!

So appreciate the care here for our little dog.

We had to bring our puppy here on an emergency visit, and everything exceeded our expectations. From picking up on the first ring, to making time for us to bring him in immediately, to having a room ready and treating him within minutes of arrival, to then sending him home with a goody bag once he was feeling better. The vet, Dr. Ryle, even texted us the following day to see how he was doing. We will now be moving our dogs records to this office because we fell in love with the way they do business.

I ve been here many times. Dr. Mott and the front desk folks are outstanding. -good service -usually can get you in if you can right in the morning with cancellations -always willing to talk through a situation on the phone an guide you the best they can.

Originally came here due to an emergency injury with my dog. The staff were so kind and helpful. This was relieving for my dog and myself. They have continued to check on him and his recovery and continued to offer assistance weeks afterward.

Worst service and care Ive ever seen. Brought in my injured cat and after being asked a bunch of questions of why I brought her in the girl says well i can give you a referral of somewhere you can take her...we are about to close. (They didnt close for another 40 minutes! Parking lot was empty! Whats the point of having hours if you close 40 minutes BEFORE 1pm. Came in with an hurt little 10 week old puppy. We were obviously a bit nervous and worried about our little pup. The staff at VCA OHAH jumped into great to make sure our pup was doing ok and did not have more underlying issues. Great information and help in next steps on the healing of our pup as well. Super impressed with the response to get her seen so quickly as well as their availability, and care. Thank you VCA Oquirrh Hills AH!

I would like to thank everyone at this office for their extreme kindness and compassion when I had to put my dog down. They even sent paw prints and a nose print with a hand written card by staff giving their condolences. It brought me to tears! I couldn t recommend this vet anymore to someone looking for an amazing staff that truly cares about you and your pet.

Dr mott was the absolute worst. She showed no compassion to questions we asked and answered them in a sarcastic way. We went to pay and when I called ahead they quoted me $20 for the rabies shots per dog (I have 2) and when I got there for the appointment the total bill came out to close to $200 I asked why and dr mott told me that just for rabies shots (no other vaccines) they perform an exam and she assumed I would know that and she told me that she expects payment. She never apologized and came out speaking in a very unkind way from the beginning. I will not be taking any of my dogs back to her or this vet

Dr. Vaas and Dr. Mott have been phenomenal but getting into this vet for urgent/emergency situations is literally impossible. When I called to get an appointment at 8 am as I had previously been told to do, I was told, the soonest they could see me was April 2nd I called on March 3rd with a dog that wasn t breathing right. The receptionist went on to say, We are short staffed at the front desk, for vet techs and only have three doctors normally. Today we have only one doctor and they are doing surgeries all day. This has been planned for months. We have lives outside of this office and people are entitled to vacation and a day off. I get all of that but what is the point of having a vet you go to regularly if no one from the office can see you when you need them most and during normal business hours. Also, the emergency vet I went to as a walk in was $100 cheaper than an appointment with VCA. Sadly, I think I am going to find another vet.

I have been taking my dog Yeti(2/F) to VCA ever since she was a puppy. Generally speaking, I have had good experiences with the clinic and their staff. Things went incredible downhill when the Doc saw that Yeti needed a tooth extracted. I requested ~5 separate times that they provide me with a high-level estimate of the procedure. Just a range smaller than $500 to $2,500 would be useful. Each time I was told that only the Doc can provide this and that they would call me back with the information. I was never provided this information and was told the day before the surgery that they will only tell you the estimate after the dog has been dropped off so the Doc can evaluate the number of teeth that needed to be pulled and how much she weighed for anesthesia reasons. This was the first time that this has ever been mentioned. But why? They are the ones that evaluated the broken tooth. They know how much she weighs. They should know the cost to extract 1, 2 or 5 teeth if an X-ray showed additional issues. I explained to the Receptionist that this process was really frustrating and I would like to know this information prior to dropping off the dog. I go to this clinic specifically because I have had good experiences, not because it is close or convenient for me to go to, so I would like to avoid taking Yeti if the cost is some crazy expensive number without getting costs from other clinics. The Receptionist becomes super frustrated at this point with her tone. At this point I tell her to remove me from the list and that I will not be taking Yeti to this clinic for this procedure due to this lack of information, which she agreed with. She the promptly hangs up on me while I am still speaking. Something to also note is that she kept calling Yeti a boy. I know her name is non-binary, but come on. You guys are taking care of our family members. Try reading her notes to determine if the dog is male or female. Make me feel like I can trust you with my family member and provide clarity over procedure costs. Every other service/healthcare industry does this. So should you. I give them 2 stars for the previous positive experiences.

Love the vet techs theyre all super sweet and empathetic with me and my dog. But whatever receptionist works here is always rude when I talk to her. I dont ever have a good experience with the front desk and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth and makes me rethink coming here in the future. From looking at other reviews it looks like Im not the only one who experienced this lack of empathy or compassion from the front desk. Id consider looking for an employee that actually enjoys their job.

Absolutely terrible service. Stay far-far away. Our dog wasnt eating so we took her in to get checked out only to be robbed for $700+ dollars. The vet (Alma) said she would call the next day with the results of the bloodwork, after not hearing from her all day, we decided to call in the afternoon to follow up (since our dog seemed very ill, youd think they would show some urgency ) only to find out the vet wasnt even in the. next. day... So we had to explain the entire situation to another Dr cause these clowns dont keep records?? Needless to say, that made me very upset, what in the hell did I just pay $700+ dollars for again? You hear about those vet clinics that sell you bs labs/xrays and take your money, this is it. Never going back and if youre reading this, Id suggest going somewhere else as well.

Amazing doctors and amazing staff

I was able to get a new patient visit within a week which is incredible! Took my dog Oscar to get his shots and a wellness visit. The staff were very friendly and were great with him including giving him all the milk bones he could eat (well not ALL but he was in heaven). I think this is Oscars favorite place now.

Dr. Vaas was really thorough and very helpful. He took the time to talk to me about my puppy Miles. I never once felt rushed and the vet tech working was amazing as well. Everyone was nice and made me feel important. Even the front desk was so nice and wanted updates. Thank you guys!!

Dr. Vass is a great Veternarian. The front desk workers are always pleasant on the phone and in person.

They are so great! Always so friendly and willing to answer any questions I have, also pretty reasonable as far as costs go. After my dog had surgery the doctor texted me to check in on her. The only thing I don t like is how hard it is to get an appointment, they are always so far out. But I think that s how all vet clinics are right now.

They truly care so much. I cannot recommend them enough!

I love VCA Oquirrh Hills!! They have always treated me and my two dogs with kindness and love! I recently had to put both of them down and the staff, the vet everyone, was patient, kind and loving while we grieved through the process. Say one thing but do another. Badly trained front staff. I call one day, they said no problem just call in the morning the next day for walk ins. Just be told the next day another story. Bad information, and a waste of time.

They are excellent. Our old dog and younger cats have been seen by the vets and we have been happy with their service all around. They took great care with end of life care for our animal, giving him respect and dignity. They were also extremely patient and caring for us during the difficult decision and process.

Sent them an email with a question about putting our dog down and they never got back to me. So I called asking about procedures/prices regarding euthanasia, and the receptionist who answered was a bit rude and not helpful at all.

I have been a client here and taking my dogs in to Oquirrh Hills for 20 years now at this location. All employees and doctors are great to work with however I am particularly partial to Dr Vaas. He has been there since they opened the doors and He/they have always taken such great care of my pets. In this 20 years I ve had my Pug Yoshi that was absolutely my best friend and so special & important to me. Dr Vass and Dr Mott helped Yoshi make it through this life for close to 15 years up until the day he moved onto doggie heaven and Dr Vass and Lili (office manager?) made that terrible day the best and easiest experience as possible. Now my Pug Rocco has filled Yoshi s paw prints extraordinarily well and has now taken over the title as my Best friend and the most important thing to me in my life. I feel it s almost my duty to get on here and leave a five star review for all the years of great service I ve received from this business. I also want to leave a testimonial here about the importance of dental work for pets that Dr. Vass helped me realize and did extensive surgical dental work on both my pugs due to their smooshed faces and crowded mouths. The outcome for both was exceptional. Both dogs demeanor changed instantly for the better. They both became happier, obviously in better moods. Both became more playful and energetic and very apparent just more comfortable in general. They were more content overall instantly after surgery. I also can t help but think it prolonged both their lives as well, that I cannot express in words the importance of that to me. Thank you! Dr Vaas and your entire friendly fun staff at your professional yet comfortable and easy to work with staff and great hospital and veterinarian clinic.

The urgent care on Monday, Wednesday, Friday was just what we needed for a laceration treatment for my English Setter, who got himself a pretty sizable cut on a fence while out hunting. Drop off didn t bug me and they took good care of my hurting pup. Worked out with no problems at all.

I trust Dr. Vaas, and thats the most important thing. But beyond that, the entire staff is always super cool, and appointment availability is a lot better than other places. Im grateful to have this clinic in my neighborhood.

I take my mini dachshund puppy, Slinky, here to be seen for check ups and his immunizations. We have had a great experience! They are professional and FaceTime you so you can see your pet with COVID restrictions. Alma is a great vet and Slinky loves all the staff here. My only complaint is they get booked out super far out for appointments.

my dog tore a blister and I didnt know how to cut the skin off. I took him here and they snipped the skin and did NOTHING else for my dog. No wrapping it or anything. They charged us $50 for medication for a blister? + charged us $103 for an EMERGENCY check.This was not an emergency whatsoever and they didnt even treat it like one either. They had him for a total of 15 minutes. $153 dollars for literally NOTHING. My dog couldnt even take the medication because it made him sick. These people are out for your money. do not take your animals here for any small thing ever. I will NEVER take my dogs here ever again.

I arrived with my pet due to an emergency and they did not help me, they told me to call to see if they had an appointment available.

Unbelievable. I called about a month ago to schedule a new client apt for my pup and the girl I spoke with was amazing. I forget her name, but she was so sweet and so informative, I felt so secure in my decision with choosing them to be a new office for my dog. She answered all my questions and I thought we were being set up for success, come time to our appointment. Fast forward to today- I felt like I showed up to the wrong place. We pull up to the clinic, ready to have our pup seen for the first time. We notice that they have numbered stalls made for you to pull into and a sign posted with the phone number to the office on them. It says to call if you are there for a curbside visit or a pickup, and I didn t park in the stalls because I knew (or so I thought) that didn t apply to us. We tried walking in for the appointment, and the doors were locked. Confused, I called the office saying how we were there for our early morning 8:30 appointment and wasn t sure where to go in. I was told they were only doing drop offs, where you d leave your pet with them and they d call you in 45 mins once they were done. We were NOT warned of this. Not once while scheduling the appointment. Not once when I confirmed the appointment via the app. Not at all. Had we known this, we never would have gone through with the scheduling. Our dog has extreme separation anxiety, an issue we wanted to discuss with the vet, and they wanted us to leave him with them. How they expect pet owners to do this for NEW CLIENTS is beyond me. And for what, so you can call me in 45 minutes and tell me all the charges you deemed as necessary when I wasn t there? Convenient. We had just gotten off of our night shifts at the hospital, so the early 8 am appointment was scheduled on purpose to follow our work schedule. Had we known we d have to drop him off only to pick him back up an hour later, again we would have NEVER scheduled it that way. What made the whole thing entirely more infuriating was the girl we spoke with this morning. She showed no remorse, did not apologize for the inconvenience once, and was ZERO help to our situation. If anything, she was more discouraging than helpful, saying things like welp you could try a different place but everywhere is pretty booked up for the next month or so . I could not believe the amount in lack of remorse for the situation and not to mention the lack of professionalism. We waited for this appointment for a month. We could have been searching for other places if we were informed of this drop off policy and not have wasted our time. A simple apology for the miscommunication could have made a difference to this situation, but instead silence and discouraging advice was the response to us. Honestly, this review was partly due to the miscommunication but mainly due to how the situation was handled. She did not care about anything other than wanting to know if we needed to cancel or not. Didn t even offer a reschedule! We left with no intentions of returning. I can not stress how incredibly infuriating this whole experience was.

We have taken our gentle giant, Hemi, here since he was a year old. 8 years later they are still our favorite place to take him. They have been nothing but great when it has come to his care. They have squeezed him in for allergic reactions to insect stings and any injuries. They always call after and check on how he is doing when we have brought him in for emergencies or procedures. Their vet techs are great and spoil our dog rotten. This office is the only vet office that he has been comfortable at. We have never had a high bill at this office. Recently they treated him for a mass on his leg and a cut. When my husband called to let me know the cost of the visit and labs for the mass, I was surprised that it was a few hundred dollars less than I had expected. We plan to continue bringing our pets to this office because this is the only office that does not make our gentle giant nervous. Even if there is a wait to get in, they are worth it. *Update* They recently did a follow up on our other dog after taking her to an urgent care place near us. After feeling like the other place did a horrible job and gave us no answers, Oquirrh Hills was able to provide answers and treatment plans immediately. Every vet here is great. Thank you Dr. Mott for taking such great care of our fur babies!

Refused to refill a arthritic prescription for our old dog they wrote, that was about to expire, was still valid and had 2 refills using Petmeds (which they dont like you using, they loose money). Purposely waited 1 week to respond rendering the prescription expired. Called and the front office lady wouldnt/couldnt understand the issue and hung up on me. Called back and talked to a front supervisor, she was able to understand the problem entirely and pass it to the vet. However, female Vet returned call and refused to fill the prescription or help her without an appointment. When asked why did they put refills on the prescription the Vet would not answer.... This place only wants money and could care less about your animal health. Absolute Ignorance!!! 6 months ago they wouldnt even take my dog for stitches, told me to call back in a week... Seriously!!! You have to get them in within 24 hours! Told me to call someone else!!! Never again will we go there! Only reason we wanted to go here was it was close to the house. Riverton Vetrinary Hospital has always welcomed us even with emergencies, they will have our business.

I had an AMAZING experience here! I ve always had extreme troubles clipping my dogs nails so I decided to take her to the vet to see if they could do it. I was expecting to need to get sedatives to even get close to being able to clip her nails. I took her here and they were able to clip all of her nails in under 20 minutes without sedatives!! I was so amazed. The staff is also super friendly!

These guys have been taking care of my dogs for the last 7 years. They are so kind to my brand new pup that was super nervous to get groomed. But they took care of him and I was so happy.

We love bringing our puppies to Cory!! She is happy to see them and they both love her! She does a great job grooming them!! I will not take my furry babies anywhere else!!

Our first visit was awesome and the doctor was great. We were told to come back for a second visit for a booster that would be no charge. Just a quick in and out. After being there for only a few minutes we said goodbye and walked out. Not ten minutes later a fairly persistent young woman called and demanded payment. When I explained what I had been told she got more rude. In the end I paid for the visit and I am determined to find somewhere to take my dog where everyone is on the same page and honest. Everyone should pay for services as outlined.

We have taken our beloved Cocker Spaniel to Oquirrh Hills since she was 2 (14 years). They have always taken great care of her if it be for check-ups, boarding, or grooming. She pasted away yesterday, and the staff was so kind and caring that it made a very difficult situation very tolerable. They always cared about me and my sweet pet. I could not give them a higher recommendation....thank you, you guys are the best!

Has been great with my fur baby!

I brought in my 13 week old puppy, with severe vomiting and dehydration. The vet, refused to do an ultrasound and missed a blockage in the intestine. 2 days later I took my incredibly dehydrated and sick puppy (skin and bones, vomiting and no bowel movement for a week) to Cottonwood Animal Hospital. They did an ultrasound and found the blockage right away. My puppy had to be given fluids so she was stable enough for surgery. They charged me $600 for antibiotics, X-ray, IV fluids, and 4 syringes or appetite meds. I am very dissatisfied with the fact that this clinic would not take responsibility for missing a potentially fatal problem.

Cannot speak any more highly of this vet. They have now helped us immensely in two emergency situations. We brought our pug in with proptosis and they were able to immediately diagnose and provide medications for recovery and pain relief. What stood out even more was Dr Vaas personally reaching out to us the following days to check up on how she was recovering. An outstanding team of technicians, assistants, and doctors who seem passionate and devoted to the care they provide.

We have been going here for about 5 years and have had excellent service each time. We had to say goodbye to our dog this winter and they were so professional and kind during the whole process. They gave us options in advance and gave us privacy and respect.

Great vet in herriman. Had to take one of my dogs in for emergency visit during this Covid virus pandemic. They were awesome with him, and very knowledgeable. They did a follow up call the next afternoon to see how Jake was doing.

Incredible service, friendly staff and most importantly very knowledgeable! They always take time to explain what is going on and treat my dog like family. Dr. Mott has gone above and beyond for our little Copper multiple times. I have called in a few times for questions and she calls back within the day- very hard to find customer service like this! I highly recommend!

On Tuesday 9/15/2020 I took my dog in as a walk in because he was extremely sick, throwing up not eating breathing heavy. On 9/14/2020 he had gotten into the garage and ate a lot off food including chicken bones. The vet did an xray cause of chicken bones maybe being stuck.. Doctor claimed there were no stuck chicken bones and gave him anti-nausea medicine. When I picked him up the tech told me that he also had urinary stones. I Told her that previous to this he has been very thirsty and frequent urination. She said oh that sounds like diabetes and that I should get him checked lol.. They never did blood work at this visit or look further into the stones. On Wednesday I called back to state that he was still not eating and he was declining, she had me wait till Thursday. I called Thursday to say that is was even worse and they said to call back Friday. Friday morning he was not even walking. I called and they wanted me to pay another walk in fee even though my dog Zion was already seen. They finally did blood work and he was having a diabetic shock, which remember the tech and I briefly talked about on Tuesday. His sugars were so high they couldnt get a read on it.. she gave my dog a short term insulin shot instead of a long lasting insulin cause she was waiting for me to get it from the store even though they have long lasting at their hospital. At this point I was beyond mad and told the front desk and doctor that they were not doing their job correctly and that his blood should have been checked on Tuesday especially since the tech and I talk about him possibly having diabetes. The doctor than told me that she was not going to care for Zion anymore and I had to come get and find another vet that would take zion.. Well because of their lack of care or not listening to me every time I called in to say he was worse, my poor sweet Zion passed away last night. Do not take your sick dog there, they do not listen or care one bit, my dog could have been saved if they would have done blood work and when I told the tech about his diabetes symptoms.

Great vet! The vet really walked me through all of our options with vaccines, heartworm prevention, etc., which I loved. They informed me of the puppy plan but didnt pressure. The vet assistants are super friendly with my dog. In my opinion, the prices are very fair too. My dog actually loves going to the vet! Happy I got referred here :)

Wonderful staff and great Doctors for pets. This is the only place I take my dog to. Only downside, need a bigger location as they are booked normally a month out.

When everyone kept saying they had no appointments , VCA came thru! Gave me an appointment as soon as I called and in less than an hour I was in the office. Everyone is super nice and very sweet. Dr. Alma Ryle made sure all my questions were answered and my puppy is now feeling much better. Thank you VCA and highly recommend. :)

Great doctors and service was quick even with COVID restrictions

This will always be my Vet for any and all animals I have. They truly care for every animal that comes through their doors and understand the impact animals have on our lives. Love how they explain everything keeping me up to day and any and all changes with him. I am very grateful and truly indebted more than they will ever know. In what they have done for Meatball and myself. If you want the best care and service for your animals this is the only place you should bring your animals too. Thank you again for everything you have done for Meatball and the help of keeping me sane through all of this. I wouldnt know what I wold do without my little tank in my life...

Great place to take your fur babies !! The doctors are great with the animals but some of the front staff can be a little snooty!! Prices arent too terrible for a vet either !!

This has been our veteran clinic for 10+ years, and always given quality care.

They truly care about you and your animals. Our 12 week old puppy woke up with major health complications one morning and they got us in immediately. They watched her all day, and as she was deteriorating they did everything in their power to keep her breathing so that we could come and say our final goodbyes. As my husband and I cried over our loss, we felt an immense amount of support from all of the veterinarians, nurses, and administrative staff around us. I have never been to a veterinary hospital that has ever truly cared for their patients and visitors as VCA in Herriman did for us. Two weeks after our loss, they mailed us a handwritten letter expressing their condolences from each member on their staff. Thank you for making such a hard experience a bit easier from all of your support!

Incredible clinic, service, staff and vets!! Dr Hong has been, by far, the best vet my dogs have ever seen!!! He s knowledgeable and obviously cares for his clients and their well-being. I have been nothing but phenomenally impressed with him and this clinic.

My cat Claude was acting different and drinking tons if water. We brought him here and sure enough, he was diagnosed with diabetes. VCA Oquirrh Hills has done an amazing job at helping us take care of Claude ever since! His levels are continuing to go down every day, now were also taking our other cat! Keep up the great work guys!

Hesitant about taking our pup to a new vet since we have moved and I LOVED her old vet, and I was slightly disappointed with Oquirrh Hills. Our old vet was so upbeat and excited whenever we brought our energetic Husky, but the vet at this clinic was getting annoyed with how excited she was. He kept calling her a spaz, and made me feel dumb for having concerns about her teeth. It might just be me being picky and wanting a happier vet, but he didn t smile once and that s just not for me. We will be trying a different vet at this clinic next time. BUT the price for her first visit was $25 and that price can t be beat.

I used to like this place. I have a sick cat that has seen the vet a couple of times now. She is not getting better. I called to see if we could get her in again quickly as she does not feel good. I was told that I had to wait 2 weeks to get an appointment, even for a sick animal. The other option was to go in an wait to see if she could be seen, but no guarantee if it would be able to happen, and it would cost $20 more. I dont feel they care about my animals anymore and all 4 of mine are going to a different vet clinic now.

Dr. Vaas was amazing in helping me with my dog Hank. And then followed up with us the next day to be sure he was doing ok. Love the extra step he took to make us feel like he really cares about his patients.

Tad bit frustrated about their sudden wait times. Weve been coming here almost 10 years now & have never had to wait more than a week max to get our dogs in. Now its over 2 weeks wait. In my opinion, it would be wise to save some spots for the people youre sending postcards to every month. Why send the cards if we cant get our dogs into you in a timely manner? I was going to take my dog elsewhere but decided not to because I do love this location. But please, work on these appointment wait times. Theyre outrageous. About 5 months ago, I posted a review about a communication problem I had when I called VCA about my dog eating Neosporin. At the time, I never noticed someone had responded. Now, 5 months later, I found the response and reached out. I am extremely satisfied with the response I got, and to know it was something they actually talked about when I posted the review in order to fix any possible issues! In my review I stated id still bring my dog back, but was frustrated at the time for the conversation id had with the woman who answered the phone. My family has been bringing our pets here for 12 years now, and other than one communication error, weve never once had a problem and ive always been satisfied with Aris care! Im very impressed by the response I got about my original review, and am happy to say that even before I knew there was a response, my dog has always gotten incredible care when weve been here in person. Thank you VCA for taking care of my little lifesaver!

We took our dog there and the service was excellent oh, they were right on time and got us right back in when we arrived. They were fairly prompt in there assessment and diagnosis and treatment. Everybody that we dealt with was also very friendly and happy to help us. I give it a 4-star rating just because it felt like it cost more then I was anticipating for the treatment we received.

Dont bother trying to get an appointment with this practice - unless you can wait 2 to 3 weeks. Sick cat or dog? Sorry, still a wait to get them in. I was told their staff (Drs.) has been cut in half, so good luck getting in at all. Also, that last time I took my kitty in, they gave her a haircut (I asked them to) and then apologized for the cut on her leg - with stitches even! Kitty wasnt wiggly or anything - she was anesthetized because of a previous procedure. Never going back!

Cant give them a 0 or a negative number or i certainly would. Rude, unprofessional, and I called to ask about something my dog was going through and told it would be a month to get her in. Obviously the front desk and people answering phones doesnt have any knowledge, so I took her to another vet who has someone answering phones that recognized her issue as being urgent, but we lost her 48 hours later. These people and the vets are a joke.

Dr. Mott is absolutely without a doubt incredible. She shows she cares and goes the extra mile to help. Doesnt rush and listens to what concerns you have and will do whatever is needed to fix. She knows her stuff. Even when my cat was sick no appt took him in technically 10 mins after walk ins end. She heard what was going on and immediately said no Ill see him now. so glad she did we got him on medicine and now my furry best friend is feeling better. Dr.mott will definitly be keeping our furballs as patients. So thankful for the entire team.

I like the vets but they are pricy

The staff is great. No issues, but a simple check up that lasted 10 minutes for a bee sting on my dogs foot, which went away by the time she was attended, costed $75. $75/hour is an understandable wage... But $75 for 10 minutes multiplied by 6 = $450/hour. I know its a veterinarians office, but wheres the humanity!?

My little Chihuahua has been sick for the last few days. I called the clinic and they got me in within a couple hours. We saw Dr. Vass and he was AMAZING! He took such great care of my dog. We have never had a bad experience here. The doctors are very knowledgeable and always answer all of our questions. The staff takes great care of our cats, they are very gentle and loving with them. We know our cats are in good hands whenever we come in. Id definitely be recommend this place.

Very caring and they worked hard to find out what was wrong with my dog when she was losing too much weight. They always take the time to answer all my questions and really show they care for my pets.

Great place and enviornment!

Overall a very positive experience. The staff was really nice to inform me of a coupon as I was scheduling the appt. One of the techs provided me with crayons and a coloring page for my little girl. Dr. Hong was so gentle and thorough with my pet and didnt pressure me into a test that wasnt entirely necessary at that point in time based on his exam findings. He also explained everything he was doing/checking for. My only complaint was that after the visit, I was told I needed to wait for the doctor to finalize the visit prior to paying. That was fine, but 15 minutes later with an overactive toddler and a dog that was in pain they still didnt call me back or seem to notice me. So I went back up and asked if I could pay yet. A short wait or at least was i given an update, i definitely would have given 5 stars. That being said, we will definitely be making this our primary vet and requesting Dr. Hong.

I took my dog in to get checked out, and it turns out she had pyometra and right away they were helping me get an appointment for surgery and they took awesome care of my dog. They were very patient with me when I called a million times to check on how she was doing (crazy dog mom over here) but their staff was so nice, and Dr. Hong came in on his day off to check up on her, and he was very nice and was great to my dog as well. Overall I ve had a great experience here and will definitely come back in the future for all my veterinary needs! :)

Ive had to reschedule appointments serval times because no one logged them into the computer. So I showed up on time three times, three different days before my pet was actually seen. Besides that really great experience.

Mia, my baby girl, got bitten by another dog today. They took her into surgery immediately, no waiting, not even to check in! They kept us updated through the whole procedure, and provided snacks while we waited. Very professional, kind staff, and were so grateful for them all. Thank you VCA

The first time I went with our puppy, we saw Dr. Mott and everything went great. But my wife took our puppy for the final round of boosters and Joseph Hong was incredibly rude to her. He said our dog was bad and needed training because he didn t like having his mouth played with. He also was livid that we missed the last appointment because we were out of town. My wife left crying from that awful experience.

Brought our 6 year old Yorkie here for his annual shots, first time as we moved here from Canada. The Vet was awesome and the whole staff is welcoming and friendly.

We moved to the area about a year ago and our little guy got sick with something. We searched around for really good vets and stumbled upon VCA Oquirrh Hills. We took our dog in and he instantly fell in love with the staff. Dr. Hong was his first doctor and he took such great care of our dog. Fast Forward 5 more month and our dog decided to eat something that made him sick again. We set up an appointment online and took him in next day. Again, our dog remembered the place and was so excited to see his doctor again. This place is great and love to make sure your animals are loved and taken care of. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great vet for a great price!

My dog took a tennis ball to the eye & got a scratch on her cornea w/ some bleeding in the eye ball. We brought her to Oquirrh Hills as a follow up to her ER visit about a week or so after it happened because her retina wasn t responding to light as it should. We saw Doctor Griffiths, and let me just say... SHE IS AMAZING! I was so stressed out about this whole situation & she was very understanding and was quick to answer any questions. She showed me my dogs eye with dye so I could see that the scratch was gone, and then explained to me what she could see inside the eye (she even drew it out for me on a white board). I left confident that with a little more treatment my dog would be fine. Doctor Griffiths took all the stress away from the situation. If you come to this vet, I would very highly recommend you request to see Doctor Griffiths. She s the best!

This establishment was recently bought out and has gone down hill quite a bit. Most basic procedures have tripled in price. You could easily get the same care for half. Not to mention the doctor we worked with continued to pressure tons of unnecessary practices. Were grateful for the help. But will never be coming back

Revenue driven practice. Nice staff, good doctors but over emphasis on generating income. No appointment, extra charge. Not really a hospital if you have complicated, emergency care needs. Great for scheduled procedures.

I have been taking my 8 year old Mastiff Mix to them to use the Laser for her arthritis. It has worked wonders and after just 2 treatments she was able to jump up on our couch and bed again without the stiffness she was experiencing. But mostly the staff is so good with her. She is a very introverted dog and does not like to be touched or be around new people. Arye has been wonderful and understanding and has tried really hard to make her comfortable. They are also caring. When they found out that our other girl passed away they sent us a card with condolences. Its the little things that make a great office.

Usually dont write reviews but these guys 100% deserve it (Dr. Vaas especially). Have taken several of my (and my families) pets here, sometimes for second opinions, and Im always blown away by their service in relation to some of the other vets in town. Instead of automatically jumping to the most expensive and invasive option available like most places do, Dr. Vaas always does a fantastic job breaking down the diagnosis in detail, and giving you options for how to proceed so that you can make an informed decision, even if that means youre likely to walk out of there without having spent thousands of dollars on a surgery that might not even be needed. This is the only place Ive been where Ive felt like theyre actually looking out for me and my pet, rather than looking out for their bottom line.

Weve taken several of our dogs to Oquirrh Hills for nearly ten years and have always found them to be very kind, helpful, and compassionate. Highly recommended!

Great staff at this Location! I have never left with an unanswered question. My puppy loves going there and is always excited. Yesterday we were able to get a baby canine tooth pulled with their help. I was expecting to be charged for the vet to pull it, but only paid 30$ regular visit charge. Mind you the tooth was loose. She didnt need sedated. I was unable to do it myself lol.

A great place to bring your pets

I have been bringing my dog here for grooming for about a year now, and Corey is excellent! While my dog is not a big fan of being groomed, he very clearly loves Corey. He loves to give her kisses while shes grooming him. The most important thing in a groomer for me is that theyre patient and good to my dog. The quality of the cut is less important...however, with Corey we have both!

I do not need ads from my VET! I find this highly irritating and it sends the message that the VCA hospitals are a business rather than medical facilities. I find it extremely tacky that VCA sends regular emails advertising things for pet owners, most of which try to capitalize on peoples fear and anxiety. It is disgusting. I want to work with a medical professional, not someone trying to make money off falsely generated needs. While I have had a good experience with the actual doctors, these ads put me over the edge and ill likely be looking for a new vet. I also find them just generally disorganized almost every time I go there. Last time, I had to wait 40 minutes to see the doc because there was a mix up and Im pretty sure they would have completely forgotten I was there had I not gone out and asked if someone was coming. Ive also ordered meds from them before and they told me they would call if they were able to fill them and when I called to check, they were like, oh yeah, they were ready for you yesterday as if I was just supposed to know without a call. Im very frustrated with how hard it is to find animal care in this area - I have struck out multiple times with vets AND boarders. It doesnt seem like it should be that hard and I dont think my expectations for communication and organization are unreasonable!

This place is great. Dr. Mott and her staff were all extremely pleasant, efficient and I totally trust them with my fur babies.

Our first experience with Oquirrh Hills was recently when we had the devastating loss of my daughters sweet 9 month old collie, Abu. When he was rushed into OHAH, Dr. Hong and the entire team of techs, veterinarians and staff did everything they possibly could do to save his life. We will miss Abu always and not only knowing everything was done to try and save him, everyone at OHAH has been beyond compassionate. We love these wonderful people so much that we drive from Davis County for our other dogs. We are so grateful to all of you OHAH. Thank you!

I ve been a customer since they opened and have been excellent. However since VCA purchased them, it s been one disappointment after another. Availability of appointments is horrible. If I call with a sick dog and the next available appointment is in ten days, that is worthless. Just to be clear, this is ALL because of VCA.

About a month ago I had to take my little boy to them because he decided its be a good idea to pick a fight with my big dog. Well things didnt go in his favor and his eye got scratched pretty bad. I saw Dr Myrick and Im so grateful that I did. He is an amazing vet! We didnt know at first if we were going to be able to save his eye or not. We decided to do a little surgery on my Loki and Dr Myrick used the button off of his shirt to use as a stint. Loki was know as the dog who had a button on his eye. After consistently going in for four weeks and applying medication we were able to save his eye. I am so grateful for Dr Myricks care and dedication to helping us get his eye better. The staff is amazing and so kind. I highly recommend them. Thank you again Dr Myrick for all that you did for me and Loki!

We have loved this place since the first time we visited! They are in a great location as far as where we live which is nice not only to have a wonderful vet so close, but also a trustworthy groomer. Our most recent visit was just a quick stop-in for both our pups nails to get cut, but the next will be renewing vaccinations. Its super convenient to be able to go to just one place for most of their needs and to know theyll be taken care of by caring and trained staff for all those needs.

The whole team has been great to us and our pup every time weve been there. They were awesome helping us, and calming us down when we had a scare that our Pup might have Parvo early on, and weve been taking him back ever since. Would recommend them to anyone.

THE ONE STAR IS FOR THE GROOMER ONLY. I took my dog to be groomed there once on a recommendation from someone and I was very disappointed! The girl that did the groom was a Vet Tech there I was told. I have NEVER had a groomer NOT clean my dogs face, eye area and beard before. Besides that, my dogs hind feet were visibly dirty up to the ankle area. ( she is white ) I had to re-bathe her when I got her home and they still charged me $48 for my 17 lb dog before tip. We wont be back to their grooming department.
