Canine by Design in Lehi

Ok Dyana is the best. My chocolate lab just came back from one month of service dog training and she is so so good! Day and night. She was pulling, recall horrible, eating other dogs poop, and now? She s not doing any of these!! She sent me videos throughout the time and I felt safe that my dog was in good hands. It d a lot but Worth the money in my opinion. I was worried about leaving her in a board and train and I m so glad I didn t accept that and kept looking for this type of service! Thank you canine by design.

Canine by Design was so good to work with. Sarah was our trainer and she was amazing. Our puppy was really struggling in the crate with major anxiety and all though he was tough to correct, she figured it out. He came home a much easier puppy! From the start of the process to the end was super professional. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

My husband and I have had an exceptionally positive experience with Jasmine from Canine by Design. She came to our home and immediately formed a bond with our puppy, ensuring she understood our goals for our puppys manners and behavior. Jasmine provided extremely detailed weekly updates along with the sweetest photos and videos, which gave us peace of mind knowing our puppy was in excellent hands. Upon returning, Jasmine trained us so we could maintain the progress, and weve seen significant improvement since then. She also recommended the equipment she used during training, making us feel comfortable and confident moving forward. We couldnt recommend Jasmine enough!

We just got our 6-month-old Samoyed, Babushka, back from her four-week training with Kota at Canine by Design, and we couldn t be more thrilled! From the start, Kotas dedication to Babushkas development was evident. Every week, we received a detailed report card highlighting her progress, and access to a shared Google Drive, filled with photos and videos of Babushka s adventures, kept us connected to her journey. I found myself checking multiple times a day, eager to see her progress and photos of our sweet fur baby. Kota s personalized approach and care truly exceeded our expectations. She not only took care of Babushka s training but also her dietary needs... She also showered her with love, making sure she felt right at home and at ease. Now that Babushka is back with us, we are astounded by her behavior and everything she learned. Thank you, Kota, for the incredible transformation and for loving our girl just as much as we do!

We lived our experience with canine by design and specifically Kota. We sent our 8 week puppy to her for 3 weeks. Our dog came home crate trained and potty trained. We sent him back to Kota at a year to give him obedience training for 2 weeks. They let me pick the length and were realistic about what could be achieved in that amount of time. We received weekly emails both times that were so full of details explain what Typo, our dog, had learned. They sent videos and pictures through with these weekly emails. Kota also had a reading session with my family once she brought Typo home to us and then a follow up training here at our house within a month of bringing him home. We love Kota so much and so does Typo. Since his training she has boarded him a few times and we have the same experience! He comes home fine tuned on his skills he learned. Also Kota let us decide what we wanted to work with him on. She let us pick the things that were important to us! I would 10/10 recommend Kota and canine by design!

Mason is a highly qualified professional trainer.. he answered every question my wife and I had . He demonstrated how to work wiith our maltidoodle, Cocoa, and supervise and corrected our own efforts in a very positive and helpful way. With Masons help our Coco now sits, lies down and comes when called. She stays in place when visitors come to the house and no longes chases or lunges at neighbors, bikes, or skate boards. Overall she is a much better behaved and enjoyable member of the family.

I put my Dalmatian Seven through the private training program and it was a very great experience my dog is now a pro at his loose leash walking and his recall. Through this program I was able to learn new ways to train my dog beyond basic skills.

I have a four month golden retriever, Rex, and I wanted to get started on the right foot with him. Rex is full of life and go, go, go. I did the private in home program with Mason and I could not be happier with the results. Mason came to my home six different times over a seven week period and he showed Rex and I how to trust each other and work together. We worked on all the basics, went to the park a couple of times and went to Lowe s for one of the training sessions. Rex is still just a pup but now I know how to work with him as he matures. Absolutely recommend Mason and Canine by Design to work with your dog. I have been able to use what Mason taught me with my eight year old min schnauzer, Louie.

My 4 month old puppy went to the 4 week program and I felt like it was money well spent. She came home much more obedient and good fundamentals for me to continue. Jasmine taught me so much on how to train her at the session afterwards and really helped me know how to help my dog continue to learn. Definitely recommend!

Our experience with Canine by Design was a 5 out of 5 from day one. Setting everything up was a breeze. We had two mini goldendoodles we enrolled in ten week private training sessions. We had a girl with major anxiety and a boy with major reactivity to other dogs. Our trainer, Mason, could not have been any better. He was thorough, patient and completely knowledgeable. He was constantly trying to find different ways he could help us and improve both dogs as well as teach us the skills we needed to continue training after pur experiencewas over. He always addressed any concerns we had and we felt completely comfortable with him. Our anxious girl is a completely different dog. She has more confidence and truly seems happier. Our reactive boy barely pays attention to other dogs. He still has moments we have to correct him, but obviously his learning is an ongoing process and because we did the training with them, we have learned how to handle those situations and how to continue their training at home. We would recommend Canine by Design and especially Mason to anyone!

We cannot express how great Canine by Design is. Our dog Hank participated in the two week board and train program with Kota! Kota is so incredible and loves Hank as if he is her own. She totally transformed Hank to be more confident, obedient, and less anxious. We have seen a complete change in the way he goes for walks, sees other dogs in public, and obeys commands like sit, place, come, and more. Kota and Ashley have also boarded Hank a few times since his training and he always comes home confident and happy. It was really hard for us to leave him and trust that someone could take care of him, but needless to say, I wouldn t chose anyone else to watch our Hank. Kota and Canine by Design have blessed us in more ways that we could imagine!

We did the 4 week training program for our 2 year old American Bully, Crixus. We worked with trainer Jasmine who is a very professional person and loves her job. This program was a game changer for my family. Crixus had a lot of difficulty pulling on the leash and would get very anxious outside when he was around dogs and people. This became an overwhelming situation, we looked at many places but Canine By Design was the best one that fit everything we were looking for. Plus, it is a place where they truly love and care about dogs, and you can tell they like what they do! I mention this because in many places I looked, I found myself having a hard time because people tend to be very judgmental about my dogs breed and dont like working with them. Jasmine and Crixus got along great. She gave him a lot of love and helped us a lot so he could learn very good manners and obedience both outside and inside the house. I feel like it helped us have a much closer relationship with Crixus, we are so excited about all the changes he has had and how much we can now enjoy our outings together. I dont know how to explain how grateful we are and I would definitely recommend this program!

We had a pretty good boy that just needed some guidance and structure. Mason from Canine by design helped us with some problem behaviors, recall issues, and structure that allowed us more control (safety) over our new rescue. The process was very helpful for us to learn a new skill and form a closer bond with our new kiddo. Thanks again! Would highly recommend.

I could not be more pleased with my 10 month old puppy s training. Kaiya was professional and very helpful with any questions I had. They will be my go-to with any help I need in the future.

I cant recommend Canine by Design highly enough they are incredible! My mini poodle, Toby, initially went through a board and train program with Amber, where he learned leash manners and gained confidence, helping to alleviate his anxiety. Since then, weve continued with private training sessions and regular boarding with either Amber or Kota. Its such a relief knowing our puppy is not only safe while were away but also having a wonderful time with people who genuinely care about him. Canine by Design consistently goes above and beyond!

Mason did a great job with my dog River. I could only afford two weeks. He worked on my two main issues plus a couple more. He did great with explaining how to continue trianing my dog. Rivers new behaviors have improved our lives and hers.

Canine By Design is fantastic! Jasmine was our trainer and she loved and treated Bella as if she was her own!!! We missed Bella so much while she was gone for training but the updates we received with pictures, videos and emails helped ease her absence. I absolutely recommend them and will use them again! Canine By Deisgn has a wonderful trainer named JASMINE! She was able to work with my dog who became leash reactive after she and I were in a car accident. I consult some other trainers and no progress was made. My sweet dog was also showing unwanted behavior in my home but wasn t responding to training. My dog, Daisy Mae, went through the board and train program with Jasmine and it has been a game changer!! She was so leash aggressive that I had to take her on walks at 3:00 in the morning to avoid seeing any other dogs or people. Now we can walk anytime, she s behaving in the home, I feel like life is not just manageable, but happy. I am so grateful for Jasmine. I was fristrated with everything happening with my dog and now I feel like I have her back. My second dog, Harper, was the also a bag of issues. I adopted her last summer and she was a fearful reactive disaster, and that s putting it nicely. MASON, another of Canine By Designs trainer, worked with Harper in their board and train program. Harper was terrified of children prior to the board in train. She s now quiet and calm around children. She was reactive to all strangers, to all dogs, to all bicycles, cars, everything. Multiple other programs told me to put her down but she had an incredibly goofy, sweet side and I was sure with the right program and people she would be ok. She s now able to be out in public and be confident and content. She s calm for car rides, isn t afraid of her own shadow anymore, and the best part of it all is that she has become even happier, playful, and cuddly. JASMINE and MASON both gave me sanity, peace, a beautiful relationship with my dogs, and a whole lot of happiness.

Our shepard had a great training experience and has benefited from the board and train program. Our trainer Kaiya was awesome and the team of support was phenomenal. Jes in the office was very informative and helped us through the process. Jason had come to our home to see our puppy and in a short period with us already started correcting some behaviors. The follow-up and continued support is a great value. We cant say enough how our family is now complete with our newly obedient shepard. Thank you to the Canine by design team.

I dont even know where to beginning. I get tears thinking about how far our almost 2 year old pittie Willow has come. We enrolled her into the behavior modification program with Canine by Design right after we had a situation with a neighborhood dog. Willow has been known to fence fight anytime other dogs would walk by our house. Where it started to become a huge issue. She honestly hated other dogs. I couldnt ever take her out anywhere. She would be soo hyper focused on other dogs. Ive always loved my dog however I knew something just wasnt right. Then Mason came into our life. Mason is such an incredible trainer who really knows his stuff. I enjoy Willow much more now that weve both had some training. Willow and I are so much closer. Mason has taught Willow and I so many skills from the basic commends to behavior modification. Now Willow doesnt fence fight, or bark at other dogs. We can even go out in public where other dogs are around and she doesnt even act like they are around. I highly recommend Mason to anyone who needs any dog training no matter the level you need. I know if my pittie can do it your dog could too. Thank you Canine by Design for hiring such a wonderful person. Hes made a huge difference in mine and Willows life.

This is an excellent business. From the minute I filled out the online form, communications were extremely clear and warm. Jess (the office manager) reached out to me in a timely manner and scheduled a visit with Jason, the owner. Jason came over to the house and got a run-down of our dog Wrigley s behavior issues. Wrigley is a great dog and very friendly, but had not been trained consistently enough. She was difficult to walk (pulling and biting the leash) and was always counter surfing and stealing food. When she got something off the counter, she would exhibit resource guarding behavior which created a lot of stress in our house. She had a lot of unaddressed behavior issues, but this was the most concerning for us because the resource guarding behavior was the only time we saw her exhibit any aggression. We agreed that a four-week program was the right fit for Wrigley as she is six years old and had a litany of issues that needed addressing. Jason came by to pick up the dog and was very patient when he met our children who were very concerned about how their sister was going to be treated. Throughout the four weeks, our trainer Graci, shared DETAILED weekly emails with us explaining progress she had been making with Wrigley, what she was planning for the next week, and asking questions about specifics of prior behavior. The updates included videos, which we all watched in amazement. When the four weeks was up, Graci came to our house for a lengthy session to teach us how to continue the work of training the dog and to patient explain the new commands, what to look out for, and how to use the new tools to reinforce the training. Again, lots and lots of kid questions were treated with respect and patience which has really paid off because the kids are totally onboard and helping to continue Graci s amazing work. Wrigley is definitely a changed dog. She obeys our commands to stay and has not even once ventured on the counter to steal food. Graci explained that avoiding this behavior is the best approach, so basic training on commands like place and down do a world of good to keep her from situations where she might be tempted to grab something off the counter. We have also been working, at Graci s direction, on human food avoidance and other helpful techniques. Walking Wrigley is much more enjoyable as she doesn t pull on the leash or cut in front of us. I wish we had engaged Canine By Design earlier this training works extremely effectively. We were concerned that our dog was too old to train, which has not been the case. When we get our next dog, we will most definitely engage Canine By Design earlier.

Charlie is a Shepard/Pit mix with lots of energy. He was a bully to our other dogs, and we really didnt know if we could handle him. We almost looked into rehoming him, but luckily we found Canine by Design and I can not express the difference the training has made. Charlie was enrolled in the Board and Train program and we were sent updates weekly and pictures of his outings and development. We loved watching him on Instagram and really new he was in good hands. With this training we now understand what Charlie needs to be successful and now have the tools needed to work with him. It was well worth the investment that will last for the rest of Charlies life, and are so happy for the knowledgeable trainers (Lex) and all the people at Canine by Design that made this possible.

I own two 3 year old pure bred huskies. The behaviors we really needed training on were loose leash walking, dog neutrality, polite greetings with new people. We bought the 6 session package to have the trainer come once a week. We immediately saw such an improvement with both dogs with just the first session. Lex is awesome and is very knowledgeable and was able to give us great tips to get our dogs on the right path on our goals. We havent completed our sessions yet but both dogs are great at loose leash walking and dog neutrality with only 3 sessions in. Highly recommend Canine by Design!

My experience with Canine by design was extremely disappointing. From the first conversation in the discovery process with Jason of what my needs for my pet were, to the introductory in person consult and every communication in between as well as my pets exit meeting to transition him home til now, almost 4 weeks being at home the communication, follow up, follow through, professionalism, customer care, and delivery of promised set expectations within my purchased program have been neglected. I have had to make several attempts to get information, weekly updates, delivery on expectations promised to be delivered that were always either late, forgotten about or neglected altogether. I was never given the opportunity to ask questions u til I made it known I had no idea what the process was. I should have had atleast one at home visit by now at the minimum and have not heard from anyone and so on. Aftet 6vweeks with the team, My dog still exhibits fear, insecurity, and paranoia. Out of all of this I would like to give positive credit to his trainer. Alexa is an amazing individual and trainer. She trains with patience, structure and compassion. However, the organization, procedures, processes, and delivery in multiple areas is very underwhelming and unsatisfactory. I would recommend Jason and his crew for any possible obedience training but for anyone whi is need of behavioral therapy for their pup, this is not the place. I invested such a large sum of my finances only to be over promised and under delivered. Good luck to those who choose this organization for more than basic obedience Training. Our puppy Peach had a great time at puppy training camp when she was 5 months old and we sent her back at 10 months old for more training. Lex definitely shows love and trained Peach so well. She came back a different dog and is much calmer and listens much better. It was overall a great experience and I would trust any dog with any of the trainers. Great experience.

We could not be happier with our experience at Canine by Design. Jason and Amber are so kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. When we first started our training sessions you could tell that our young dog Koda was in need of some fine tuning. After 6 weeks, Koda went from being a teenage boundary pusher to a trust worthy and relaxed dog. Amber and Jason have given us every tool we need to be confident dog owners and in turn our relationship with our dog has improved and he has acquired more freedoms. I would recommend Canine by Design to anyone!

Lex took our basset hound and yorkie poo for a week and they had so much fun. We always know Lex will take great care of our dogs. We have full confidence in her caring and loving our dogs.

The Canine by Design team did an incredible job with my mini golden doodle, Pinto. Kaiya was the ideal trainer for him and did an amazing job. During his 6 week journey, I received in depth/personal emails weekly from her as well as fun pictures and videos of my doggos progress. Pinto is now incredibly obedient and confident, it is so fun to see how much different of a dog he is (In nothing but the most positive way). I am extremely pleased with Jason & his team. Would do it again, and am looking forward to doing more training for Pinto via Canine by Design.

We sent our almost 1 yr Brittany Barley for a 5 week train and board. Lex was his trainer and she sent weekly in depth updates. We had a mid training meeting and it was clear he was making great progress and that he was very bonded to her. His behavior issues are vastly improved and he is much calmer in our house. He is training to be a service dog and I took him to the airport and his behavior was flawless. He immediately went into a down when I stopped walking without prompting. He walked directly by my side and made amazing eye contact. Neighbors have asked me if I m glad we did the training and I can reply a resounding yes!

Going with Canine by Design was a great choice. Kota was our dogs trainer and did a fantastic job. Archie came home with confidence and great building blocks to be successful. Archie was better behaved and calmer when he came home, which was definitely a plus. Our dog would not go potty outside before training and when he came home potty training was a breeze. Im grateful to Kota and her time spent with Archie and how it changed him for the best. I would definitely recommend Kota and Canine by Design to anyone with a puppy.

We loved working with Amber. She helped us clean up a few behavioral things (listening with higher distractions, anxiety, & exposure to more challenging environments) with our lab. Now were better prepared for more outdoor adventures!

I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Canine By Design. Our Pomeranian did a board and train program before we moved into the city of Boston. I wanted him to get comfortable being around a lot of strangers and other dogs, and be able to walk without pulling or getting distracted. He has done very well since we moved and is much happier and obedient overall. It has been a nice change for the whole family. I was also so happy that he had a great relationship with his trainer and that she sent wonderful video updates so that I could see his progress along the way.

We left our 6 month old boxer with Jasmine and Kaiya the results were very impressive. He was doing advanced commands that I wouldnt think were possible with such a young pup. Both trainers were great to work with. He was also super excited to see them again when we did the follow up session so we know he was well taken care of and loved.

We love what Alexa and Canine by Design did for big boy, Blue. He turned 1yro, and we knew we needed to get him trained or suffer with a stubborn, big lazy dog. Hes such a mannered gentleman now having spent weeks with Lex in their training and boarding program. Blue always impresses people at the parks and in my neighborhood. We have recommended CbD to so many people (and professional dog training, in general). We can not preach it enough how wonderful it is to have a well-behaved friend. E-collars are your best tool in keeping your dog safe. We are signing up for in-home training for our 2.5 yro GoldenDoodle. Then, well have the best of both offerings and a better understanding of how to keep up with his ongoing training.

Nepopo® Gold School was an outstanding experience. The application of Nepopo theory in many different aspects of dog training let the theory soak in. 5 days of deep practice was amazing. From sport work, pet dog training, scent training, etc. It was a, full, well rounded week of solid work. Highly recommend!

I had my sweet service dog in training, Applesauce, board and train here and the experience was WONDERFUL! She was loved, she was mentally and physically stimulated, I was kept up to date on her progress, and the skills she was taught have been life changing for her and for me. Applesauce came home happy, confident, eagerly obedient, and retained every bit of happy-go-lucky zest for life she had when she was picked up. As a first time dog parent I was initially worried that putting her into training somewhere would mean she d have her peppy personality trained out of her, but her trainer Lex assured me that wouldn t be the case and she was 10000% right. Applesauce is confident in public, even in overstimulating situations, she listens attentively and excitedly, and she knows as soon as her job is done she can run around and give me as many kisses as she wants. Overall, this was a wonderful experience and I can t recommend it highly enough. Every penny was worth it. Thank you, Canine by Design, for not just teaching Applesauce how to be her best self but for teaching me how to set her up for success! You are all so spectacular!

I attended the NePoPo seminar this past September. I came down from Mexico because I found this topic very important for me as a dog trainer. The experience was incredible. Jason and his team were very enthusiastic and welcoming. Jason made sure to answer all the questions and doubts from all the attendees. I loved the hands-on activities and the theory part was crystal clear.

Highly recommended! Travelled from the other side of the world to attend the NePoPo® Gold School. On hand and in-depth mentoring of both theoretical and practical NePoPo® theory really helped consolidating the knowledge, which is especially true with the 5 days of Intensive deep practice training, it was unforgettably informative and fun! I have learnt so much about different training aspects from Pet dog to Sport dog which I feel more than ready to incorporate into my future works.

My dog Buck did the board & train program with Dayna. Before the program, he was very anxious and occasionally reactive towards other dogs. He is now a much more confident and well behaved dog, and I am a more confident owner too. The peace of mind I have now knowing we both have the skills to safely go on our adventures together is something I will always be grateful for. I can t thank Dayna enough for taking such good care of my dog during and even after the program and allowing us to have a better relationship. I will definitely be continuing to work with Canine by Design!

After carefully evaluating four other, highly qualified canine training programs in Utah, we decided to enroll Charlee into Canine by Design s behavior modification training program. The in-home consultation with Jason instilled the confidence we needed to move forward with Charlee s training. Charlee was paired with Amber, and we could not be happier with what she was able to accomplish. Amber is professional, communicative, knowledgeable, thorough, and patient (with us as much as with Charlee!). She Has taught us how to continue Charlie s training and his path toward being well-trained boy. Kudos to this program and to Amber! I highly recommend Canine by Design to anyone who is looking for a high-quality canine training program.

I don t know if there are enough words to express or explain how impressed I am with Lunas training with Mason! In two weeks the growth she showed was incredible and she is only 4 months old! She learned basic obedience skills that have allowed me to begin to take her with me to run errands and introduce her to her future of being a service dog. Every day she does something small that shows her development and training while with Mason. I m already looking at other training I can enroll her in. I can t recommend Canine by Design or Mason enough! Luna and I are very grateful!

Ray, our 18-month-old Border Collie, was totally out of control. Despite our best efforts, he was ruling our home with his fears and insecurities. He would bark madly and threaten any visitor in the house, scare people by charging at the fence, snap at anyone who reached out toward him, resource guard, counter surf, ignore our commands, refuse to get in the car, pull out of his collar, lunge at passersby when we were on walks, and more. We felt trapped, threatened, and hopeless. We couldn t leave the house, we couldn t have anyone over, and we were constantly in danger of getting bitten. We tried taking advice from friends, followed youtube tutorials, even worked with two separate trainers, but he only got worse--to the point where he was threatening us every day and wouldn t let us touch his collar. My husband, daughter, and I were all bitten. We talked to shelters up and down the state, and nobody would take him only offer to put him down. Even the trainer we were working with at the time wouldn t take him for a board and train. Thank goodness we found Jason and his amazing trainers. From the first time Jason met Ray, we could tell a huge difference just in the confidence that Jason had around him. He assured us that with the right training and leadership that Ray could make a positive change. We signed Ray up for a 5-week board and train with Jason s trainer Lex. She was incredible! She d email us every week with an update on Ray s progress with photos and videos. And when she brought Ray back at the end of the program he was a different dog. He still has his challenges, but with the structure that Lex, Jason, and the other trainers instilled in him, he is able to make better choices and live a happier, more confident life. Lex helped him establish a routine, maintain a neutral attitude around people, understand and obey commands, even be more obedient on walks. Amazingly, Ray is even more affectionate with us now that his fears are under control. He is a new dog. Lex met with us weekly after the program to teach us how to continue the training that she started, and is always ready and willing to answer our questions, texts, and phone calls. We no longer feel trapped or afraid of an out-of-control dog. Jason and Lex didn t just help us get our dog back they helped us get our life back.

Lex did an amazing job training my Great Dane puppy and they are officially best friends! Only complaint is with the office since there was an issue getting emails.

I cannot say enough good things about Canine by Design. They are wonderful! They are very professional and knowledgeable. I was having resource guarding and leash reactivity issues with my dog so I sent him for a six week board and train program and couldnt be happier with the results! He is so calm and well behaved now. He is even off leash and listens so well. The trainers came to my house for an evaluation and even picked him up and dropped him off which made it easy and stress free. Lex is absolutely amazing and has fully explained everything and always answers any questions I might have. I have called her multiple times and she always stops and takes time to help. She checks in and makes sure to tailor the follow up visits to fit exactly what we need and what we want to work on. She took such good care of my dog and really cares about him. He gets so excited to see her when she comes for the follow up visits! I wouldnt take my dog anywhere else.

I had my 6 month old Bernedoodle join their 3 week board and train program. My dog before was a struggle to walk on a leash. He would never stay or come despite the little training I did with him. He was nervous around new people in our home and bikes and other random things. Its been about 3 months since he has been home. He is so much more confident and obedient. He stays, sits, comes, runs next to a bike, walks on a leash, and is potty trained. It was expensive training but it has been worth it to have such a great dog. The trick is the owner needs to stay consistent with training to keep up the good behaviors.

I found exactly what I was looking for from Jason and the other trainers. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for help with their dog or if they want to push their relation with their dog to the next level.

We have a dog that tends to get aggressive around other dogs, especially bigger ones. We took him to a training session and within minutes our dog was sharing a raised bed with a big German Shepherd. In fact, the German Shepherd at one time was literally sitting on top of my dog and my dog couldn t have cared less. Good stuff, good people!

I ve worked with Jason and his team together with our GSD, Ghost, on a number of occasions. I really appreciate Jason s approach to dog training. Everything has always been clearly explained as to how a dog thinks and how to encourage the behaviors we are looking for as a lifestyle process so Ghost can live his best life and not just dog tricks to impress your friends. We have seen drastic improvement in Ghost after each session. Any dog would benefit from working with Canine by Design, but especially if you have a working breed!

Jason and his team were amazing with our dog. From the minute Jason walked and and met our dog he knew exactly what to do and how to help us. Our dog went to a board and train for 6 weeks and came home a different and better behaved dog. He was obsessive with me and combative with anyone else, and now he is indifferent and neutral which is amazing and can be around other people. They introduced our dog to new and different situations and taught him how to react and behave. We enjoyed the weekly updates we received and loved following our dogs progress. When he came home, the follow up appointments were extremely helpful and taught us how to act around our dog and to trust him. We had a gorgeous black German Shepherd that we raised since he was born. He was the sweetest dog in our home, but was fearful of new people and strangers. His fear came out as aggression and that, along with his size, made people assume he was a bad, dangerous dog . Kailey, one of the trainers, came to our house to evaluate him. We had a muzzle on him and he barked and growled at her. I thought for sure she was going to turn and walk right out of our house. But she didn t. She wasn t afraid of him. He didn t make her nervous. She wasn t even phased by him. She observed him, watched him, gave him time. Eventually she took him by the leash into our front yard. Within a few minutes she had him following commands, listening, obeying what she said. Shortly after, she removed his muzzle. It was absolutely incredible to watch. She knew why he was behaving the way he was and knew exactly what he needed for the behavior to be properly addressed. I would recommend her personally to ANYONE struggling with a dog- even those that might think they are beyond help. She truly has a way with dogs and was firm but very loving to our sweet boy. She s amazing and we will take any dog to her that needs training in the future!

Excellent grooming!! Very friendly, so good with our fur baby !!! On time, right to work after she met our Moka ! I am very impressed, as was our Pomeranian! Will definitely be a returning customer and I will be recommending CBD !!!

I could write a whole essay with how much I have loved my experience with Canine by Design. We enrolled our 6mo Bernadoodle into their puppy bootcamp and were thrilled with the work they did on Richard but even more thrilled with their follow through with our family. They understand dog psychology and are able to teach and coach the family to work with their dog specifically, not generic things that dont work with your dogs temperament and family lifestyle. With little kids and a busy active lifestyle we wanted to make sure we had the tools necessary to include Richard in everything we do, they got that and have been excellent in helping coach us (first time dog owners) into it. Theyre the best!

We made the decision to buy 2 GSD puppies (litter mates) and were overwhelmed by their energy and wrestling. We put both dogs in their 4 week board and train program when they were 6 months old. Jason and Jess on the administrative side and Kailey and Lex as the trainers were amazing!!! They addressed specific behavioral issues like barking and running to the door. Which was a huge problem for us, especially with little kids coming over to play with our kids. Kailey and Lex corrected this in both dogs, its so nice! I can walk them both at the same time if I want and they both walk loose leash and dont bark at other dogs or people. No more aggressive wrestling with each other and greet people calmly without jumping. We would HIGHLY recommend Canine by Design to anyone!!

We have been so ecstatic with the results from Canine by Design. Our dog was very reactive and defensive, and after board and train with Lex, she is like a new dog! She is now confident enough to proceed into the show ring as we had hoped! We will be using Canine by Design in the future with all of our dogs.

Canine by Design has boarded my Sheepadoodle twice this summer, each for about a week, and they were wonderful. Jess and Ashleigh both provided updates throughout the week with photos and summary of what Bullseye had been up to, including multiple walks daily, park or play time, and being brushed out or any grooming needs thry felt necessary. Bullseye was picked up and dropped off promptly and I feel they went above and beyond to make sure he was happy. Pets are cared for in their homes, not just in a locked room. I have had several dogs in the past but have never hired a trainer. Game changer! Ashleigh was so great with my Cavamalt and not only did she train her but probably more importantly she trained me. I grew up on a farm where our dogs just ran free so that is pretty much what I allowed my dogs to do in the past. Ashleigh taught me so much and so far my cute little Bianca is doing amazingly well. Worth every penny!

We just finished a board and train with Canine by Design, and they did an awesome job! Our English Mastiff is a nervous dog who is very timid and unsure of new people that enter our home. They helped us implement a place command so our big guy could go and relax while people are in our home. He was also very nervous outside of our home, and they took him on many field trips to help desensitize him to new surroundings. They also did some loose leash training, and now we can go on walks without him pulling or wanting to go ahead of us. Lex has been so great with our follow up sessions and has answered all our questions to insure we have continued success! We have loved our experience with Canine by Design and are so grateful for how well they took care of our big boy!

I have a 6 yr old male GSD. He is a Schutzhund working dog and cant be handled by everyone. I explained to Jess that I needed someone to care for him and my 6 month old puppy for several days. She placed them both in trainer Lexs care while I was away. Lex understood the needs of my dogs. She worked with both dogs and they responded well to her, especially Danger who was thrilled to go to work! I am pleased to have found Canine by Design - Jess and Lex- and I am confident they understand and provide the best care for my dogs when I need to travel.

We have had a few sessions with Lex and she has helped us so much. Our dogs are challenging and I love how she teaches us along with her. I highly recommend Lex!

When we first got Cricket I knew we were going to need help with training. We have never had a high energy dog, and needed a lot of direction. Canine by design was here to help. Ashleigh our trainer, is kind but firm. She taught us that training isn t as complicated as we thought and that Cricket had the ability to do the commands that were asked of her. Today was our last session and my daughters wanted Cricket to learn how to shake a paw . Within a few minutes Ashleigh had her doing it! Ashleigh gave us the confidence to teach our dog new tricks while still maintaining the good manners that were taught by her. We are forever grateful, thank you so much Ashleigh!

I have tried several different obedience training programs and nothing has ever seemed to stick for us. Sending my dog to the board and train program has been one of the best decisions I ve made for my dog and myself. Jason, Jess, and Lex have been wonderful. Lex was so good with my dog that it was easy to see my dog was comfortable with her which was something that I was worried about. Everyone was so great when communicating with me and giving me updates. I genuinely can t say enough good things about our experience as well as the education both my dog and myself have received. I highly recommend this company for any dog training. They train for longevity and teach you how to keep up the obedience. I m incredibly grateful.

We had our hound Opie go in for the off leash training program and Lex did an amazing job! It s a night and day difference. Love having him be able to explore and knowing he ll listen to the commands. He s a happier dog because of it .

We sent our 12 week old pug puppy to be potty trained and some obedience training. She came back as a well behave trained dog. They are happy to answer your questions when they have your dog which was helpful to us because she s a young puppy. They are awesome to work with. Very professional. It was worth every penny.
