Good customer service! They were friendly with my dogs, and I liked the way they trimmed them.

This service only accepts clients (regardless of the service requested and how long it takes) until 2, despite being open until 5. This is not consistent though, and may be changed depending on whether the employee feels like working or not. I went in hours before closing to see an empty store, and was refused because the employee apparently didnt feel like doing it. On the rare occasion I have been accepted, the service was mediocre. Staff was friendly but seemingly inexperienced with the request for a nail clipping, and left me with an okay result- which, for the cheap price I paid, was perfectly fine by me. Do not go here expecting fantastic results or even okay customer service.

Did a great job on the groom and nail trim and my dog was not scared/anxious at all when I came to pick her up. Was told she even played with another dog. Would definitely go back.

Very friendly staff with great prices for dog nail trimming. I love that when you call them if they are unable to answer they return your call promptly and can usually get you in quickly.

I dont know her name,but when I took my dog there she was awesome . Professional,nice and they were all smiles as you come through the door. She trimmed and buffed my dogs nail in 5 minutes or less. Prices for service here is above quality too.I have been going to Fort Union Petco and I havent been pleased with how they trim my dogs nail. The groomers there couldnt cut it. These guys have been amazing to work with. I have a large dog and they treat him very well for every grooming. I see lots of little dogs there too. The employees are pet lovers and it shows in their care for the pets they have in the shop.

Best ever.

It took us about a month and a half to get in here and that made us excited for the cut. We figured since it was so the wait was so long it was going to be a great cut. It was far from that. Our dog came with mats left all over body. Our other one didnt seem like she got a bath at all she smelled so bad. We had to take them elsewhere and get them cut and bathed again to fix what this plsce couldnt do. They also called before they were done and I had to stand there and watch them basically Torture my one dog and pin her down as she Scream in pain to do whatever they were doing. Never again will I take any of my animals here.

They did a excellent job on trimming Tucker. He is tired after playing with the other dogs he loves it here

I have been coming here for years with my dog. The first couple of years they did a great job grooming my pet and were very friendly. I would tell everyone I know that has a dog about how amazing they are and recommend they take their pet to Alexanders grooming. Recently Im sad to say that it seems they have begun to cut corners and charge more at the same time. My dog used to be groomed so nicely. Now I noticed that my dogs tail isnt even brushed out very well and still damp. The haircut is not so sharp and the front desk guy has become very irritable. We are sadly looking for a new grooming place.

Poor customer service, Poor quality of service.

I feel bad leaving a poor review because the staff here is really nice. I ve taken my border collie here a total of 3 times. The first time was great and she has no issues, the second time she broke out in scabs all over her body and we had to take her to the veterinarian for medication to ensure she didn t get an infection. Because the first time was a success and the second time wasn t, we decided to try one more time and called ahead to let them know whatever they did irritated her skin and requested a sensitive/gentle grooming package. It s been 4 days and yet again, my dog is covered in sores and will have to be taken to the vet due to the grooming. If you want to pay for grooming and then a veterinary visit on top of it, then by all means take your pet here. We will not be going back ever again.

I also feel bad leaving a bad review because the staff were so nice but I took my Bernese mountain dog for a grooming about two weeks ago and she was clipped at the paw it was dry after the groomers but yesterday it started bleeding again.

This place is amazing, everyone has really down to earth vibes and amazing personalities. I loved that I could see them handling my animal and it didnt feel like I had no idea how they were treating my beautiful cat. They were gentle with him and took care of a sanitary shave and nail trimming with ease.

Had the worst grooming experience of my dogs life at Alexanders. Brought my 20lb Labradoodle in for a cut and they decided it would be a great idea to completely shave him. I said I would like him short, but I dont know it what world short means the number 1 setting on a pair of clippers. And wait... it gets better - they charged me over $100 (with tip) to take a pair of clippers to a 20 pound dog. What a complete overpriced scam. And to top it all off, its been nearly a week and my poor dog is still agitated by whatever they did expressing his glands. If you want to pay over $100 bucks for a shaved and uncomfortable dog, take it to Alexanders!

Alexanderss grooming is truly the best, my little dog has always had a bit of an attitude and they know how to work with him to get him looking great!! They have complimentary in betweens, so you can come back before your next grooming session to shape up your dogs face or cut the nails. They are super friendly and much more affordable than other groomers. I truly love this place!!

I love Alexanders Pet Grooming! They take great care of my sweet chihuahua, Oatmeal. She gets really nervous around other dogs, but they keep her calm by showing her lots of love and treating her gently. Whenever I pick her up, shes always looking great and smelling good. Ive been taking Oatmeal there for at least a year, I believe, and will continue to use them as long as I live in Utah.

Got a good pawdicure for our skittish dog, in the midst of a very busy small grooming place!

They did alright on our husky. Hes definitely clean and trimmed up, however they left a small patch on his leg thats kinda short and his nails are all jagged and splintered

Always a great experience with my dogs, Cooper and Willow. Staff is friendly, prices have always stayed consistent, they don t try to push me to get services my dogs don t need. Only downside is they can be booked out for weeks, but that s because they re amazing and everyone should bring their dogs here. But please don t come here if you re not willing to tip the employees at least 20%. They re amazing and deserve it.

Our corgi Cooper loved to go there for the interaction not his bath. Sadly we recently lost Cooper from age related issues. We are now starting a new journey with our 14 week old Shorkie-bicheon named Teddy. I would only trust these dog loving people with Theodore B. We love the job the staff at Alexanders Pet Grooming does for our little dog Pete. Hes a chihuahua mix who can get feisty with groomers, but the staff here have booked him with the same groomer for all his recent appointments and now they get along just fine. Pete looks fantastic after each appointment. Even better, they really know how to treat repeat customers right here (ask about inter-appointment trims...).

Best place I ve taken my pup!! I called to make a same day appointment and the guy on the phone was able to squeeze my Casper in for a trim up! Dropped him off and came back to my dog looking so handsome!!! There were some nasty knots behind my dogs ears that I couldn t get for the life of me... GONE!!! No scratches or cuts ... they had my dog looking ready to find himself a new lady for the valentines holiday.. only charged me 55$ for the bath plus trimming in needed areas! They rocked his haircut!!! Thanks so much to the crew there for taking care of my pup! Totally will keep coming here !

The team here does an amazing job on our dog every single time. Prolly gonna spell her name wrong but, Daitia nails it like a pro. We tried grooming our dog at home but its harder and more time consuming than we thought. This place blew us away and were happy to keep coming back. The price is fair, with an option to tip, we spend about $60 all together. In between appointments are free that take care of nails, fur around the eyes and other areas. I heartily recommend this place.

My basset hound is very scared of getting his nails trimmed and ears cleaned but they were so great with him! The atmosphere is very warm and inviting, and the staff were all so friendly. Thanks for taking good care of my Roland! Will be coming here for his grooming from now on.

I feel bad leaving this review because everyone there was super nice but I was overall really disappointed with my first experience at this grooming salon. When I got there we discussed the haircut I wanted for my dog in detail and we talked about leaving her headshape round like a puppy cut, taking some length off the body, and I said I didnt like her tail left long and I requested the tail be cut to the same length as the body. I even showed several pictures to show what I wanted. I guess there was a miscommunication in there somewhere between the guy I talked to and the guy who did the actual groom, because the haircut she got was the exact opposite of what I asked for. She just got shaved down pretty short all over including her head, (except for her ears) and her tail got left long like I asked them not to. She wasnt tangled or matted so there would have been no reason to shave her. They also said she would be there 4 hours and she was there for 7 hours, which I would have been fine with if she had come home with the haircut I had asked for. Plus she didnt smell all fresh and nice like normal after a groom. I think there were just so many dogs in such a small area that it made her smell bad by the time I took her home. Im attaching photos of the haircut she got vs the reference picture I showed them at the beginning to show the difference.

Ive taken my cat here three times now, and despite giving explicit instructions, theyve entirely disregarded requested brushing/trimming each time.

I arrived here and gave the picture to the groomer of what I want and after 5 hours I did not get what I asked for. I also wanted my dogs teeth to be brushed but after 5 hours I needed to be somewhere so I didnt have time to wait any longer. To top it all off I came home today and found a cut on my dog. I dont recommend coming here.

We were looking for a new dog groomer since we moved to SLC, plus our dog was very dirty due to Labor Day hiking trip. Called around and left messages. Alexanders was the only place that returned my call. They graciously squeezed our dog into an appointment with Desha. She discussed the overall plan during the drop-off in terms of preferences. Our pup looked incredible afterward, literally, the best she has ever looked by a long shot. Desha did an amazing job, every detail was done beyond our expectations. Booked our next appointment that day. Our pup even seemed to enjoy the experience and the staff, usually she dreads any of these trips. 10/10, will not go anywhere else.

I have been taking my Shih Tzu here for years. When I first started taking him there the owner was always there and so friendly, all the groomers were very personable. Now I never see the owner and I do not like the way the guy at the front acts. He is sort of snobby and acts like he is doing me a favor by letting me make an appointment for my dog. I am not going back I am sad to say, the last time I went there, I took my dog in for a free face trim and could not be back in 20 minutes like they said and he said to me well we will try to make it work this one time. Ugh!! After years of going there I would have thought he would have been more accomodating. I hate poor customer service. The people here used to be totally the best. Plus my dogs face look really stupid. I just dont get it.

Our dog is so well cared for and groomed at Alexander s! Their prices are so so so good, and the quality is amazing! We have had good haircuts every time for our golden retriever. The guy at the front desk is so nice and all the groomers take such good care of the dogs! We love them. Couldn t recommend any more, they deserve all the business! Worth waiting for if they re a little booked out.

Seriously the best groomers! I have a Westie and after going to five different groomers - Alexanders is the best groomer for my Westie. The cut is always so perfect and hes done in two hours. The staff is amazing, always so friendly and accommodating. You wont be disappointed!!

If you love your pets, please DO NOT take them to Alexander s. This business is dirty and poorly kept. They claim to be professional groomer s, but this could not be further from the truth! Their idea of grooming consists of placing a guard on a shaver and removing nearly all of your dog s hair. Clearly, they have learned from prior bad outcomes because they make sure they are paid before you are allowed to see your pet. Expressing your disappointment and frustration with the services provided is met on deaf ears, simply asking if you want to schedule your next appointment. Please run from this establishment . Poor skill set, poor customer service, poor environment.

This place is incredible! I have two dogs with severe anxiety. One of which who is aggressive towards vets and groomers. I was nervous to take him because of this aggression, but they were so accommodating and were able to get him groomed. If you re looking for a groomer, look no further. This place is amazing.

They are really sweet with the dogs. I like that the dogs are not generally caged while there, but can interact with the other dogs of they are well behaved.

Absolutely the best groomers around. My pets were scared of other groomers here they have done a 180 they love coming and enjoy seeing the others dogs. I have reccomend to my friends and would recommend anyone to bring there pets here as well.

My miniature poodle Sawyer just needed the hygienic grooming, since his hair grows so fast. We were in and out again in about 15 minutes, and now he can see! (And not get stuff in his fur when he potties.) The team here are fast, friendly, and really love dogs.

These guys did a great job on my Pom and my Aussie! Plus theyre so fast and affordable. Only downside is that it took a bit of time to get an appointment but, even then, I can totally see why! Never going back to PetSmart.

Constant nicks on her body and the last appointment she didnt smell like she had been bathed at all. I gave them a couple tries after the first nick but I shouldnt have. Awesome service and quality cuts the first 2 visits then the quality of grooming rapidly declined.

These guys did a great job with my pooch. I thought he needed a trim but they told me that it was pretty abnormal to trim this specific type of dog hair and they recommended a brush, wash, and blow dry (which helps remove loose hairs as well. This also cost me less than a trim I didnt need, and my puppers came home happy and smelling great!

They have always done such a wonderful job with our old Yorkie. The front desk guys are kind and professional, the groomers are so calm and loving with our dog, and they always book our dog with the same groomer, which I think is great because they get to know your dog better. Dustin is great.

We have been taking our small Havanese to Alexanders for almost a year now, and absolutely love it. The staff are very friendly with both people and dogs, and they take great care and pride in their work. If you call and they dont answer, more often than not they call you back before you are able to call again! Great customer service and the value for the groom is on point. We highly recommend Alexanders for you and your furry friend!

They do a fantastic job on our Bernice Mountain Dog . They actually know how to groom her . I have been to many dog groomers and they normally just shave her if she has to many tangles, but they take the time to comb her out and make her look amazing.

Im a fan! I have a high-anxiety dog and they do an excellent job with him. Prices are super fair. Staff is excellent. Ive had at least 3 different groomers do my dog and Ive been pleased every time. They take grooming notes/instructions seriously, which makes it easier to check your dog in each time. I love their in-between services program! When you book your next appt ahead of time, you can bring your dog in for nail trims, ear cleaning, face trim, sanitary trim in between for free. Works great for me because my dog doesnt need a full groom more than once every 3 months, but his nails need trimmed more often.

Always a good experience. My dog always comes home looking and feeling great! They also do teeth cleaning/scraping without putting the dog out!

Great Groomers!

I bring my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel here every other month or so. Hes always so beautiful and clean when I pick him up! The groomers here do such a great job and clean up exactly what you want before working on your pet. I would recommend Alexanders to anyone. Very high quality for a great price.

I am very impressed with this grooming salon. I am very protective of whom I leave them with after they were physically abused at Petco. My dogs enjoyed the groomer so much they didnt want to leave and the job done was amazing. I met one of the proprietors and knew by talking with him that he has his heart in what he does and so do his employees. When I went to pick up my Afton I was in amazement if his many happy and excited puppies and dogs were having the time of their life mingling with the other dogs and playing with groomers as it they were family. I have 110 percent trust in them that my Afton snd Cesar will get the best care in insuring their comfort and safety and they get a professional cut that is reasonably priced. From Jack at the front whom books the appointments does an amazing job making sure we are educated on what the groomers can do to seeing us get in if we asked to be on the waiting list he doesnt miss a beat. He is the first impression we had of the grommery and definitely does a great job. The groomers truly love their job and their heart is in every dog they care for. Out of 4 different groomers this place earns an A + and I will not go anywhere else but here from now on. Thank you Alexanders... Cezar and Afton cant wait to see you again soon.

I found this place when I lived in midvale and fell in love. Even though we have moved pretty far away I will drive my dog here to be groomed because the service is exceptional, his cut is always perfect, and the staff there is so nice! They have also been extremely flexible with me when I need to change an appointment and get my dog in quick. Love this place!

Just got home from taking my three basset hounds for nail trims. Its so hard to find someone that can handle them let alone want to. Typical of the breed , they are not a fan. Took all 3 and they were trimmed and we were on our way in 20 min. Thank you so much! We will return!

I ve spent way to much money on choppy cuts in the past. Needless to say, I was skeptical. However, Alexander s did an outstanding job on my yorkie s haircut today (and it didn t even cost an arm and a leg)! We won t be looking for another groomer moving forward, that s for sure. Thank you times a million, you guys rock.

The folks at Alexanders are friendly and listened to our requests! I took my two poodle mixes, ages 1.5 and 2.5 years, in for a grooming and tartar cleaning, and they had great cuts. No Razer burns. Their grooming was done exactly as requested. The dogs were allowed to roam with the other dogs in the shop while waiting for their turn. The grooming included ear cleaning and a requested full strip. They smelled amazing after the grooming, and felt so soft. The tartar cleaning was better than anything weve been able to accomplish with tooth brushing alone, and better yet, did not require any sedation. The grooming was about $50 per dog and tartar cleaning was about $20 per dog. Our dogs are 9 and 18lb. Well definitely come again!

Have been using for about a year, and was very happy however, their prices have consistently gone up to the point of pricing themselves to losing my business. Also, there was a price disagreement, and evidently the customer is wrong. They do decent work, but too pricey for me ($150 for 2 short hair minis). Will be going to one of numerous places who will do the same things for half the price. RESPONSE TO THE OWNER : When I began bringing my dogs in, you talked me into a teeth maintenance which consisted of a retail price the first time and subsequent visits would be a maintenance price I was told 45 for both this last visit not 45 per dog I tried to make my point but your clerk preferred to argue My dogs were worked on maybe 2 hours No grooming as they are short hair so pretty much a bath and teeth maintenance 150 is way steep sorry Too many other groomers in town who want to give a fair honest price and not argue

If I could give Alexanders 10 stars, I would. We just moved from Provo area up to Midvale, and we were super nervous about finding a good groomer to take our sweet (and super sensitive) great dane to. This is by far the best place weve ever found! They took such good care of our baby, I was able to watch most of the process - each and every worker there was grooming all the dogs very carefully and sensitively. Ive seen groomers who are rough and impatient with the dogs theyre grooming. This place was the opposite. Everyone was very friendly and kind. We will never go to another place again! Even if we move! We love Alexanders Pet Grooming! UPDATE: Just got our babys nails trimmed again here at Alexanders Pet Grooming, and again, COULDNT BE HAPPIER!! Our great dane suffers from severe anxiety, and per usual, she did great having her nails trimmed at Alexanders. I recommend this place to every dog owner!

The cut and price for my Westie were good, but the smell and cleanliness of the place freaked me out a little. I m not sure if I will go back or not.

My dog was very shaken up when she came home from her grooming . But I brushed it off because this has only been her 2nd groomed (she is barley a year old ). Anyways today I was brushing her and I noticed there s a cut maybe an inch and a half long . And there s a big bald spot where that cut is . Yes I did tell the groomer she had a knot behind her ear! But I didn t expect her to be cut and bald her hair behind her ear( the not was not big I would have taken care of it myself but she was going to get groomed anyways).I won t be coming back her because I have been to another groomer and they took real good care of her and she wasn t as shaken up when I picked her up from them .

I love taking my dog here, always a great experience! My dog loves it here too, I love that the employees greet my dog before they greet me, shows who they are really there for, a dog owner/lover that means a lot to me!

Two of my shih tzus were previously banned from petsmart for being too aggressive but AJ our dog groomer knew exactly how to handle the situation. I recommend everyone to go to this place. Great service, and very affordable.

Took our dog Prince to Alexanders today. They do excellent work and are very friendly. This was our second visit there but definitely not our last.

I took my dog Celine in to have her glands expressed. They were really fast and nice. Good price too.

These guys are amazing!! Ive taken my dog Luca here a couple of times, and they always do a great job!! She comes out smelling so good, and always looks fantastic! They are my go-to groomers!

The pricing and staff are unbeatable. They take great care of our little dog when we bring him in. Our favorite perk is being able to bring him in for a free nail trim or face trim if we book within 3 months. Our dog FREAKS out if I try to trim his nails, but the staff here somehow casts their magic spell and he is totally still and calm for them. We will be coming here for life.

This was my 2nd trip to Alexanders. My first time was great. I had made the appointment for today 2 months ago. I arrived with my kitty and they tell me they got behind, that it was going to be 2-3 hours before she was ready. I asked them why they didnt call and let me know. I got no real answer. Apparently they just werent thinking. I did not leave my kitty. I left and will never go back. Im pretty sure they were running behind because they put others in ahead of me. Why make an appointment.

Took my extremely hairy Shiba Inu here to get brushed and they did such an amazing job! Very happy with how great he looks and I can actually pet him without being covered in hair. The staff is very friendly and they squeezed me in when they were booked for the day. Love this place!

LOVE this place! Their prices are unbeatable - making caring for your pet properly actually affordable. This isnt just great business - it actually makes the difference between dogs getting the care they need or not. So thankful!! But its not just the price that keeps me coming back. The quality of the service is incredible - they will provide you with a before and after photo of your dogs teeth with the tarter removal service - its incredible what they can do. their grooming work is also beautiful. They are also great with the dogs - they find my dogs easy to work with even though I cant get close to their mouths or nails. My dogs are excited every time we go there! Grooming at other places have scared my dogs so they dont like to go back - But here my pups think its the best fun! They get to roam and not be caged while they are waiting, and love meeting the other dogs. Guys dont change a thing!! 5 stars from them 5 stars from me!

We take our dog here for grooming every few months. They do a wonderful job at reasonable rates. Our dog loves this place as much as we do.

I couldnt be happier with the service, prices and friendly groomers here. I had taken my baby girl to Petsmart for 6 years and she shivered every time we went. She really seems to like Alexanders. She even runs right in when we get there. THANK YOU SO MUCH

Had an okay first experience, I have 2 huskies and one of them is a saint the other is just a turd. So I understand why they cant take him ever again, I loved the atmosphere of the dogs. My Angel Lola however was not herself getting out of there, and it took two weeks to get the appointment .

I absolutely love the atmosphere of this place. Everyone was so friendly and so willing to answer any questions. This was my puppies first grooming experience, and I m so pleased that he will not be scared to go back. He was totally relaxed when I picked him up. I love that the dogs get to roam around, socializing with other dogs. I highly recommend these guys to anyone who is looking for a groomer. Not to mention they are very reasonably priced!!

I was so pleased with the service we received! Mine was an unusual request. I had a parakeet who needed talons trimmed. Graciously, the owner agreed to provide this service, and expertly and gently took care of it in just a few minutes. I highly recommend this company! You can tell that they care about their clients.

AJ did an excellent job grooming our miniature poodle! He groomed her exactly how we asked, and she turned out great. We were especially blown away at how well he did with her tarter removal! We saved a lot more than having to take her to the vet and have her put under to have her teeth cleaned. We are super happy with the overall experience, professional service, and would definitely recommend them. Were coming back for sure!

They did a wonderful job with my dog! The groomer listened to all of my concerns and made me feel comfortable leaving my dog there for his hair cut. It was the first time we used this establishment but we will be back. This was the best hair cut my dog ever received!

Great little grooming shop! They did a great job with my toy poodle, Max, at a great price. Zander even took the time to explain more about the extra care my poodle needed. Will be taking Sam back for a touch-up soon. I think I will even bring our Shiba Innu, Kaiya, for a bath and pedicure.

We just moved into the area and decided to try them out. They did the most amazing job on our 11yr old labradoodle. he got a perfect grooming and we had them clean his teeth. I couldnt believe how clean they got his teeth without having to put him under! It looked like we paid the veterinarian to do it - AMAZING! We couldnt be happier with the service we received, they were really fantastic. We will be taking all of our pets to them from now on.

I have been bringing my goldendoodle to them for 6 years. I followed them to their new shop. AJ is the best! Everyone that I have sent there has been very happy! You must give them a try!

We absolutely love them! our dog was new to grooming we use to bath her but when we received a coupon in the mail for these guys we figure why not and she absolutely look beautiful! and she was all sorts of happy. They did great on her nails we were nervous because she hates her paws being touched let alone held long enough to clip or drimmel. But they said she did wonderfully. After all the good reviews we may do a teeth brushing at our next appointment. They deffidently just gained a regular with out a doubt!:) love you guys! I would recommend then to anyone and the prices are the best we could find!

These guys are amazing. We took Otis there and he came back so happy and looked amazing. We have taken him other places and he always came home sad like he had been mistreated. We will only take our pets to Alexanders!!

I took my dog there (female Standard Schnauzer) for the first time last week and was more than pleased with the process and outcome. I was a first time client and they got me scheduled in less than 1 week and did a terrific job. The cut was exactly what I asked for and they were able to clean my dogs teeth and COMPLETELY remove all of the built up tarter. I look forward to taking her and my other dog (welsh terrier) to them again.

I just left after getting my two doxies teeth cleaned and I have to say how impressed I am! They were so nice and really got in there and their teeth look so good, and they even trimmed their nails as a courtesy! I would recommend this place to anyone who loves their pets!!!! Scheduling was easy too, they were willing to get me in pretty quickly! Thank you guys for taking care of my babies!
