I was seriously disappointed by their service. They told me they'd have my dog for 2hrs, and after everything was said and done, they had her for 5 1/2hrs! i finally had to call and ask what was going on and why it was taking so long, to no avail. I got the automated message, left a voice-mail, and no one called me back. I was about to head over there, but decided to call again, and finally got through. They said they had just finished w her and she was ready for pick-up. JUST finished with her?? 5.5 hrs later?? she was literally the first one in that morning! When i asked why it took so long, they said that they tried calling and texting me (which isn't true) and couldn't get through. I asked what number they had, and it was my phone number on file. I told them no one had called me or texted bcuz how come was I getting my appt notifications to my number but no calls about my dog's pick-up? she didn't know what to say. By the time I got my dog back, she was starving, thirsty and really had to potty. She also had a little bald spot on her back where they shaved her. The absolute worst service I've ever had. I won't be going back to this Petco ever again. Complete negligence on their part. Needless to say, I did not leave a tip. But here's one for Petco, hire competent employees.
This Petco is typically our go to for grooming but no more! After keeping my puppy there for close to 5 hours (with no potty breaks by the way. I could tell when he immediately pooped on the tile once he was back with me), they also shaved off everything in his down there area without warning us. We gave criteria on what we wanted cut and what we didn’t and lemme tell ya, we did not ask them to give my dog a Brazilian. Thanks for the $70+ bill, nervous dog, and knicked balls that he keeps licking at!

Maria is the best groomer! We will not take our doggies anywhere else. We have very delicate pups that are very needy and timid. You know someone is amazing when they can win over dogs like ours. Kudos to Maria - our family really loves her :)
My little dog, Slash, he loves Kathleen and she is so good with him. In fact all the girls are so good with him. We never have a bad experience at grooming.
Rhylee did a superb job grooming my dog. I was very pleased with the results. I feel like your prices are reasonable too. I felt like she took the time necessary to do the job right and did not cut any corners. My dog is a samoyed and not easy to groom properly. I highly recommend Petco!
We took our English Shepherd/Aussie Mix, Zane, to be groomed yesterday. I was feeling a little nervous bc he was a rescue and despite having him for 1.5 years, we’d never taken him to be groomed so I wasn’t sure how he’d react ultimately. I explained that he’s very sweet, but tends to “shut down” if he’s forced/coerced into doing something he’s afraid to do. He was feral and part of a “pack” of 8 other dogs before the group I adopted him from rescued him. He’s had a lot of socialization and handling over the past ~ 2 years and is very bonded to our family and other dog. I wanted to be sure I wasn’t breaking his trust by taking him in and leaving him. The groomer who did his intake (and who ended up grooming him ultimately) was wonderful! She took the time to listen to me and in the process made sure to talk to Zane and established rapport almost immediately with him. She told me it would likely take 3-4 hours and after gathering all our info Zane was ready to go back with her! He was even trying to push the little swinging half door to the reception area open to go in with her. It’s always a bit nerve racking to take the furr kiddos to a new place for veterinary care or grooming of course, I was just nervous bc he hadn’t ever gone and I didn’t know the groomers at all. I’m glad that I went ahead and kept his appointment though! I returned to pick him up when it had been 4 hours, I was afraid my phone wasn’t receiving texts or ringing for some reason, typical “first time” leaving one’s charge in someone else’s care. I was trying not to be “that pet parent” who drops their furr baby off, only to be unreachable when it’s time to pick them up! It had been just over 4 hours when I headed over and come to find out, they had just texted me 15 minutes before I arrived. The groomer at the reception desk had me peek through the window to see where he was. He was laying on the floor by Kerynn (who was sitting on the floor right next to him), he was totally happy & at ease, rolling upside down on his back to let her scratch his chest and belly. Having his first trip to be a good experience was what was most important to me tbh, but she also did an amazing job on his bath, deshedding, and outline cut! He looked amazing! He’s been very proud of his new “do”, it’s obvious that it feels great not to be weighed down with so much furr. His undercoat needed to be shedded out and his long “pants” and shaggy ears needed some trimming to prevent picking up seeds and twigs when we take him to the park by us. Couldn’t be happier with our experience & will be taking our Black GSD x Golden Retriever mix in to see Kerynn next!
I have been coming to this store for years now and after so many bad experiences and being let down repeatedly and continually giving them second chances this was my final draw. I bought 2 fish (guppy) along with two frogs for my fish tank. (Which has 30 different types of fish.) ranging from different sizes and breeds. Well, as the experienced fish employee is walking me through fish he mentioned that the one I wanted was pregnant. Not thinking it was a big deal I had gotten the fish. Come to find out that fish had a bacterial infection and even worse the frogs I had gotten which were not speckled but rather covered in Ich. Being inexperienced in fish I decided to put my trust into the store employee who seemed like he had a ton of experience in fish only to find out he had zero to known. I am left devastated as I have spent $300 at a veterinary office only to be told the possibility of fish surviving is little to none. After watching my 4 of my fish which I have had for a year die along with the tank I have put blood, sweat and tears into to make a perfect habitat be taken over by a bacteria killing the majority if not soon to be all my fish, even with all the expensive medicine I got from the vet. I was even more dumbfounded that this store wouldn’t not cover medical costs from the vet or replace the Expensive fish I lost after having them for a year when the majority of pet stores would cover the cost especially with notation from a veterinarian that they were the cause of this, makes me frustrated in my self for ever giving this store another chance. I hope to share this story one of many so that people do not make the same mistake as me. (Red one-bacterial infection) (glow fish-Ich)

We want Anthony back! Ever since we havent been able to book Anthony I havent been satisfied with the grooming services. My dog is nervous when it comes to other people but Anthony went out of his way to make him feel calm and always left him so clean! Im sure Im not the only one that is upset that Anthony is no longer in grooming! Now Ill have to look for a new place to take my dog

I have a 5 month old puppy. I took him in December and they told me they couldnt do a good cut because it was his first time and it would take a couple times for my puppy to get used to it. I get that. So I scheduled his next appointment for February. At the 3-hour past his scheduled appointment time I stopped in to make sure everything was fine. They told me he was squirmy but well behaved. They just had him in the back because a walk-in came in and they were working on the walk-in first. They offered me to just take him without a hair cut. Umm. No. That is the WHOLE reason I brought him in...not the shampoo. I can do that. At the 5-hour past his appointment mark. They called stating they had him ready, but I was not allowed to bring him back because he bit the groomer and he was squirmy. They also thing that I need him sedated for a haircut. Two hours previous, squirmy was normal. His face wasnt trimmed, the hair between the paws not done, the back legs not trimmed to match the front two legs. When I got him to the car he peed all over the car back seat. Something he has NEVER done. When I got him home he would hide from me, whimpered when I put his collar on, and wouldnt eat. I had to contact the vet on how to help with him. I am still, 4 days later having to coax him to eat. If I went to a beauty salon, they washed my hair and set me aside for a walk-in before cutting my hair and THEN not allowed me to pee. I might even bite my hair dresser. Not impressed. And no, I will not be back and I am not recommending other bring their puppies either.
My husband took our beagle puppy there for a nail trim. He is in the phase of nipping and they said he cant come back. He is a non aggressive dog, who is still learning. Im disappointed with how they managed the situation.
Horrible experience.......if fact, had made an appointment for both dogs but canceled after learning how much it would cost.......Thrive advertised affordability, that is an outright dishonest slogan..... $130.00 to clip my two dogs nails is simply price gouging. Will never go again.

I have an aging dog and the staff did the best they could to groom him. Although not pretty, because of his lack of cooperation, they took good care of him, made him comfortable and made sure he was safe. They have always done an excellent job!

My dogs looked like they hadnt been groomed with quality. I had to come home and trim them even more to make them look acceptable. The treatment we saw of the dogs being groomed behind the glass seemed rough. I wont be returning again. I have been very disappointed after two grooming visits.

My little Chihuahua doesnt hold still for me to trim his nails, but the techs at Petco seem to manage to trim his nails with no problems and the price is reasonable

Petco always does a great job grooming my puppy. However, this time, when we dropped her off, we were told that it would only take 2 hours - probably less. Nearly four hours later, were still waiting. Very disappointed.
The groomers were all so great and were so friendly. They didnt mind that I came in without an appointment for a nail cut, and were fast and great with my dog. My sweet dog isnt the best around other dogs and gets very nervous, but the whole time I could see they were loving on her and going nice and slow to make sure she was comfortable. I couldnt have been more happy with the service I received. Thank you!
Felt rushed and he didnt get a full hair cut only partial. I know the cute girl that helped me was just trying to fit me in last minute. But for 55 bucks and he wasnt fully groomed. I felt like that was expensive and way over priced. May look elsewhere in the future. Plus I have mentioned this before but you would really benefit with having a receptionist at the desk not the groomers. Makes for alot of unnecessary chaos.

My dog looked so good. We were nervous about him going in, this was only his second time. The first time he did not do well and was very stressed. But he needed the grooming desperately. The grooming salon took such good care of him and his hair cut was beautiful. Hes an Aussie and isnt supposed to have a lot taken off but they did just the right amount to trim him up to look nice. The deshedding treatment was so worth it and he smelled amazing after. We love petco grooming!

Groomer Jericka is great with my dog. She makes him comfortable having his nails done when hes usually angry and fearful.
I like the way they pay attention to what you want ane they are very nice to the pets.
I took my golden doodle to them for a cut and bath and the completely shaved him after I asked them not to. His cut is the worst I ve ever seen if you want to take your dog in for a cut don t choose Petco they ruined his hair! I am so upset!

Lillie was ready in a very reasonable amount of time, and that means a lot since she is a senior. She looked great, the trim and treatments were excellent for skin and hair, and the layers were worked out. she smelled good too!

I had taken my dog to Pet Smart months ago and could not believe what they did to her... Brought her to you to fix and was very please. I really think dog groomers should know what theyre doing. Petco seamed to try to match my dog with the best groomer for the breed and I really appreciate that. They did a good job and were better priced that the competition.
