Utah School of Pet Grooming in Midvale

Unfortunately I wasted my money attending this school. Very unorganized and not great working conditions. 10-20 students stuffed in a basement working on multiple dogs with no real instruction.

Horrible at cutting my dogs hair!

I am currently attending this pet grooming school and I love it! I look forward to going everyday! I love learning the psychology of animals and we start that on day one! I wish I had done this years ago! So fun and so educational!

I absolutely love having Lynne as an instructor. She s really great at helping you understand animal psychology and learning how your dogs brain works. I love love going to school here!!

I went to a workshop Lynne hosted. She taught me how to walk my 80 pound dog and not have him pull on the leash. Previously, he would pull me down the sidewalk and I could barely hold onto him. Now, he walks beside me and doesn t pull on the leash at all.

Editing to add: 3 years later and I still couldn t be more thankful for the education that USPG provided. I ve worked with countless amazing animals and people, worked at and helped open multiple salons, and I love this field. I truly believe that the courses in behavior and technique they offer here will set you apart from most groomers, giving you the tools to succeed and enjoy your job. Thanks again. A wonderful place of education to learn about the energies and behaviors of animals on both human terms and their own. The owner, Lynn, was kind enough to show us her horses and teach us about their behaviors in an engaging, personal, and meaningful way. Also, I feel like I can apply what I ve learned in a very practical manner.

Lynne truly has a gift for understanding animals. Her animal psychology class is amazing and so insightful. I learned so much about how my dogs think and what they need from me in such a short time. I was also able to visit her farm and interact with her animals there. Learning about, and from the horses and Zoe s es was like nothing I ve ever experienced. So cool!

Unfortunately, this place is not willing to take dogs 10 years old. How sad is that? Customer service says that they want their students to focus on young dogs. Wow

DO NOT PAY THIS MUCH FOR SCHOOLING This tuition is extremely overpriced for what you get. I learned very valuable things here but dog grooming was not one. If anything just take their pet psych course and go apprentice somewhere that follows the NDGAA guidelines. My certification here means nothing and I am having to spend hundreds more to get Nationally certified by people who actually teach breed standards.

This was the most frustrating visit I have ever had. 3 young women tried to help me but all said I would have to talk to thier boss and when I finally reached her she just started to argue, I couldnt say a sentence, I said Im confused why are you so angry, that I cant even talk and she hung up on me. My dog was hurt and still a little bleeding and the hair cut was not finished. They over charged me refusing to use my deposit, saying I was over 15 minutes late when thier email was incorrect saying in at 9.30 out at 10.30 but when my son picked up the dogs he thanked them, tipped $ 20.00 for each and just left saying they all had a different story. I just need to express this and let it go because I know that no one there is going to explain anything and nothing will be done so no use to stress over it, but please be aware, they just dont really care.

Having able to take Lynne s Pet psychology class was such a mind blowing experience. It helped me understand the behavior and how we as people leave the dogs reactive without knowing. Anyone who is a pet owner should take this class I love my dogs and this has help me even more to love them and give them a job. Thank you Lynne you re amazing I can see the passion you have.

If you are thinking about becoming a dog groomer I recommend you come down and talk to these guys! This school is pretty amazing! You will learn so much more than just dog hair cuts . Lynn will teach you the secrets on how to become a dog whisperer and magically calm both yourself and the dogs. You will learn the skills you need to have a happy and successful career in the pet grooming industry. I absolutely love this school! 5 stars!

When I signed up for these courses I had no clue what to expect. I was literally in awe after my first day and everyday after that. I not only learned how to groom from professionals I learned how the dogs think, feel, and respond to everything that is going on around them. I also learned the ins and outs of starting my own grooming business. They take the time to make sure you re doing things safely for you and the dog. They are clean and make sure tools, tubs, and kennels are disinfected. Their grooming prices are great as well if you need and want a 5 star groom for your dog. The best part is when you finish the course they are still there for you with any questions you may come across and you re welcome to come back as many times as you want for refreshers and new techniques. This is the only time that I have absolutely loved and looked forward to going to school.

Why does a school charge more than an established groomer. Go to support a local business.

From my inquiry call, to arrival and to pick up, the staff was amazing. I have 2 Huskies and they were so helpful in getting them in and cared for. One of my pups is a bit anxious and they were great at helping her feel comfortable and secure. I can t wait to snuggle with my soft, clean, great smelling, fluffy pups.

I just want to share what an amazing experience Ive had with the staff of Utah School of Pet Grooming. Let me start by thanking the staff from receptionist who called to ask if I was going to bring Lila to her 9 a.m. appointment although it was already 9:30 because I had totally spaced it out. To the intake staff who gladly welcomed us after arriving an hour late . To the groomer who left my baby girl beautiful even if she was not the best behaved. To those who graciously waited on me during checkout, helped with referrals/recommendations/tips/suggestions for my not so easy Lila. Last but not least Sally who tried one last time to finish up Lilas nails and offered to help whenever available. Its TRULY TRULY appreciated. You folks are doing a wonderful job. Kudos to the whole staff. Again thank you.

The front desk staff, Gabriel and Lisa, were extremely friendly and helpful. The price was very reasonable and the service was awesome! Will definitely go back again.

Fair price, Did not wait long for an appointment Very kind to my dog, Boomer. To say Boomer is wiggly would be putting it mildly, but they didn t complain they just gave him a good cut and lots of love!

Excellent service

I didnt get the name of my dogs groomer today, but they loved my Luna. They also treated her so good and had amazing customer service. They answered all my questions and made my baby look and smell amazing. Definitely gonna take them up on the offer and bring her regularly.

They did a fantastic job. And both my babies look really good. If there was a complaint I would have to say the price for it being a school I think it should be a little cheaper. Also just for running a card whether its a credit card or a debit card theres a $4 convenience fee. Personally I think $4 is a little steep. But everything else was good the convenience everybody was professional and the dogs look fantastic!

Got my Corgi groomed today. Im so happy with the trims and everything specially the butt trim its my fave. He even got a cute heart bandana after. The staff are super friendly and gentle with him. Found a new place to have my baby groom!

They re awesome!!! My dog is always nervous going into the groomer and they are very nice and patient with her. They have always done really good cuts also. If you want a good cut at a great price give them a call

I have had my dog groomed by the vet groomer and a mobile groomer and I was more impressed with her grooming today than I was at 3 times the price. I feel good that my dog was well cared for and I am helping a student grow their career. Positive

My puppy looked good and they were super nice and kind the only thing I didn t like was the waiting time I practically had to leave my dog the hole day. I live far so that was very inconvenient.

My boy is shy with strangers and grooming, so I was worried this would stress him out too much and he wouldnt be able to handle it. The staff was so understanding and patient with him. He came out not only looking great but happy as well, just in a rush to get a potty break lol Well be coming back for sure and would recommend them to anyone.

My girls love their spa day with Utah School of Pet Grooming. They take awesome care of them and they come out looking so pretty.

I had a concern if my dog would allow for her nails to be trimmed due to some previous nail injuries and trauma. I appreciate the gentle and calm nature they used with my 90 lbs Rottweiler to have a successful outcome. I ve gone to them a handful of times now and they do a great job. Thank you!

Great cut today for my 2 bernedoodles.

My dog Guinness has never been to the groomers before because he is a rescue and I was always hesitant how he would react. I felt very comfortable dropping him off and when I picked him up I could tell that they treated him very kindly. My dog is a shepherd mix so he only was bathed and did the de-shedding package. He came back smelling great and his shedding was minimized!

Love love love taking my furbaby here. Everyone is so kind and my dog looks so cute. Really helps keep her out of Matted fur and I can schedule every 8 weeks. Although rare, sometimes my baby has a cut, not too bad and I understand they re learning. Good job and thank you!

They took my very friendly, but nervous Boston Terrier with professionalism. I had a fender bender on the way back to pick her up and they were so patient and kind with us. Looking forward to going back!

These guys are awesome. They went above and beyond for our pup, Artie, who was pretty badly matted. They had to shave him down, but still kept the character in his face to look exactly like the photo we shared with them. They re professional, attentive, and really care about making sure the animals they work with are comfortable. We ll be coming back and we definitely recommend Utah School of Pet Grooming if you re looking for a great pet grooming experience!

This review is for the dog psychology course specifically as I have not taken any of their other courses. Don t trust what this establishment teaches you, a great deal of it isn t true. They teach dominance and alpha theory which is a very outdated method of training that has been scientifically disproven for years. They praise Cesar Milan and completely misinform people on dog body language. I m so sad that I took this course before I actually knew anything about dogs, so I spread this incorrect information to my friends and family as well.

I was a bit picky about how I wanted my dog s face trimmed and they executed it perfectly. Kind and professional.

I am extremely picky about my dogs being groomed so I have struggled on finding a groomer that I like. Especially having a dog with issues it makes it very hard to find someone to trust with him. As soon as I walked in we were greeted and so were my dogs.The lady who I am assuming is in charge was very pleasant and pet my dog before taking him back. My devil child who usually doesn t do well around strangers was then brought inside after explaining he does bite and is very untrustworthy. They were very good with him and I left being very impressed with the level of professionalism they had towards me and my dogs. I also love their haircut and I was pleased to not see any nicks on them.

Their front desk staff is always so helpful and kind! This place is seriously the greatest place to get your dog groomed. They are affordable helpful, and kind.

This is my second time going here, My dog is very shy but seems to love the staff which makes me feel really great about leaving him there! Also, I am very sorry Floyd snipped at you when he was getting his nails done!!!!

I have a standard size labradoodle and was trying to get squeezed in to our regular groomer but they were booked out. I came across this place online and read the positive reviews and decided to check them out! My dog looks amazing they actually did a way better job and the price was amazing. I usually pay $150 and the cost was less than $100, you can t beat that!

I take my dog and my bothers dog there, they do great work and treat the doggies with love and respect. I enjoy taking my dogs there every four weeks.

I brought my boy here today for the first time. We have worked with a couple groomers in the past off & on, but I ve been wanting to find him a regular groomer, and I think I just found the place! The main thing I was concerned about is that the last place I took him to refused to shave his coat (he is short haired but I understand the risk of patchy regrowth and made that clear), so i wasn t sure how that would go here. I was pleasantly surprised when they said yes here . Jack had a full groom spa day and got shaved down with a #10 I believe and he smells and looks AMAZING! He seemed pretty chill and happy when I picked him up as well which is always good. He is always difficult with his nails but they worked with him and got his nail trim done too. I am really impressed with this place and the customer service was great, plus the prices are affordable. Jack will be back in a few weeks and I will recommend this place to friends and coworkers. The price is great. People are nice, friendly and helpful. Quality is good. My dogs hair on his head is not even by any means and it does not blend well with the rest of his body or his ears. It s supposed to be a teddy bear look or whatever but it is not even. A little annoying, but I guess it s hair and it will grow back right?

Horrible experience! Our toy golden doodle is not a biter or barker, but she gets nervous around unfriendly people. The students were unprofessional, rude and curt. We were told she was jumping off the table and because of that they said she wasn t a good school dog . She s super friendly, which means she was trying to get away from them. We prefer groomers who know dogs come in all temperaments, and treat our dog like she is theirs. Her cut was nearly bald and she s been a nervous wreck since we left. What a scary place to train people to groom dogs! Avoid like the plague!

They did an amazing job with my dog who has had bad experience in the past with groomers because of PetSmart but they did an amazing job with him and made sure that he was comfortable the whole time and he smells amazing

I found this place on Groupon: $50 of service for $20, I decided to check it out. I went towards mid July and the front desk informed me that they did not have any openings until about a month out. It was a bit of a wait, but I wasn t in a hurry and they penciled me in. I took my little guy to get a bath and a short trim. I asked them to please take care of the undercarriage and backside since his fur gets dirty when goes to the bathroom. The intake was a little rough. The front desk person was obviously learning and didn t know what I was asking for and had to ask for assistance. No biggie, it s a school. They took my pup and informed that he would be ready about 5hrs!? Again, I let this slide and reminded myself it s a school and they re probably short staffed. I left expecting to have the afternoon free, and they called me in 3hrs to come pick him up. He looked a mess. They shaved his underbelly and his chest looks like they took some blunt kid friendly scissors and just went at it. He s so uneven and they didn t even retouch his backside. I was so disappointed. The front desk told me I was good that the Groupon took care of everything and just let me go. I noticed that he still had loose hair all over him, the service stated that they do a bath before and after the cut!? I was too disappointed to go and argue. I left with my lesson learned: don t cheap out and expect good results. If you want to help out the students, this place is cheap. But remember you get what you pay for.

I tried a groupon thinking it would be a win-win to help students. Buyer beware! The result of my snorkies grooming was beyond embarrassing. 1. Different length patches all over belly and back 2. Hard line between back of neck and head 3. Bottom of paws ignored 4. They didnt do the outside, inside or edge of ears at all! I did a better job on my first try just following a youtube video. I understand that students are students, but the fact that they ignored complete parts of the dogs body means they didnt have any knowledgeable teacher supervising, or even so much as a checklist. Given that, I woulndt trust them as groomers, or as teachers.

My little 3-year-old puppy had never been groomed in the 3 years hes been here with me and unfortunately he was not very happy when I took him in but the lady that was working was awesome and even though he wasnt very friendly or happy she agreed to do the best she could and she did an awesome job and I am definitely going to go back and get my little puppy used to being groomed

Cannot rate because never returned any emails to get an appointment. So therefore a big fat 0.......

Waited 2 months for an appointment and had to pay a $25 reservation fee! Finally went to our 9:00 AM appointment only to be told my dog was too old?!?! They even called the day before to verify we were coming and have cut her in the past. Negative Reliability, Professionalism

This is the only place I come to get my dog groomed but not anymore I book over a month ago and wasnt told I needed to bring anything in with me then I get there (the day before we leave out of town ) and they say with out the paper work they need they cant groom my dog ... Ive been here multiple times and have never been asked for anything I live 25 minutes away from this shop .... dont come here the lack of communication when booking makes me wonder how well is the communication when teaching people to groom dogs , the owner/manager Lisa was rude ....if you love your animal like family go somewhere else ,its always better safe then sorry

These people are amazing! I brought in my large golden retriever, and my eight month old golden doodle puppy, for grooming, and they look so adorable! The employees are kind and friendly, they know what they re talking about, they are respectful and kind to your pets and they do a great job! Their prices are also amazing.

Brought our two poodles Kevin and Kopper in to get groomed. We pointed to a poster 4 TIMES to show what we wanted. They shaved their entire bodies down to one small length and left missed patches, left their paws and faces but they meticulously trimmed their private parts. We let it slide because we knew it was a dog school. We brought them back for their touch up and they shaved their eyes and wouldnt clean up the faces because we had a follow up appt the following week. Then the owner calls and cancels our appointment because we left an internal review of our experience. If you are a school and asking for feedback, take the feedback. The review we left said, it was inconsistent. As a teacher and responsible owner, maybe get a little more hands on and help fix the mistakes made by the students? Not worth the multiple trips, bad experience or irresponsible owner. Pay the extra money to go elsewhere.

I was really surprised by the value I got. The grooming service was such a good price and they did a great job. Super easy to schedule and bring my dog in and everything too. I ll be back for sure.

I had a friend that recommended this place since its slightly cheaper than other groomers in Salt Lake. I was very disappointed in the experience. I brought my dog back home after him getting groomed here and noticed he was bleeding EVERYWHERE. After inspection, two of his nails on two different paws had been cut too short causing him to bleed nonstop. I was disappointed that the school did not tell me this happened, and the amount you save really isnt worth it. Roughly $20 savings, which is not them hurting my dog, and causing this issue. I did call the school to let them know, talked to the owner, and the owner had one of the groomers call me to give me advice on how to prevent him from bleeding. Providing this information so you can make an informed decision with the risks this school can have on your pup.

Great place, fair price and dont be surprised if your pet doesnt get the grooming you expected. Kinds of a different style each time. I would not think trimming Yorky would be an easy task. Never had my dog complain. always excited that she is going home.

I wish I found this place sooner, friendly and professional. They genuinely love my dog Bear as much as I do. He is excited to see the groomer and is happy and well taken care of when take him home. I can t recommend this business and the great people who work there enough. Great experience!

I m extremely unhappy with what my dog looks like when I picked her up today. She is a doodle with beautiful wavy hair but it gets tangled, so we thought a hair cut would be nice. I asked that she not be shaved other than her legs and even then, just the knots. I asked that her face not be touched excepted to maybe clean up her bangs to get them out of her eyes. I asked that the tail be left alone. The only thing that they listened to was the tail direction. It s February, it s 30 degrees outside on average ...my dog was shaved to the skin. Perfect, right? She is going to freeze. Thank goodness I have a coat she can wear. They were nice but I need to find an establishment that listens to what I want, not what s easiest to accomplish. $60 later and I m so angry that I regret getting her hair cut at all.

I a student at Utah school of pet grooming. I have truly enjoyed learning and growing thru my schooling. This is the best school ever. We learn how to handle all kinds of dogs and treat them with kindness. The instructors are amazing and love animals. If your thinking about going to this school you will not regret it one bit. Had a really horrible first experience with this business. They DO NOT honor the advertised prices on their website. They wanted to CHARGE ME MORE THAN DOUBLE what I expected to pay after researching on their website. When I pulled up their website and showed the manager how it doesnt say anywhere that these quoted prices only apply to dogs. She said that this business caters primarily to dogs and that they CAN groom cats but have to charge much more because they dont specialize in that! ...Okay, then maybe you should change your name to Utah School of DOG GROOMING! In the very least, change your website so the information youre advertising isnt a lie. How hard would it be to say dog instead of pet? Or post a separate price chart for cats? They also would not accept the Groupon discount I purchased for $25 because she said it was only for dogs and I had a cat...but the coupon did not specify that. It just said $50 value towards grooming services for you pet up to 80lbs. I was also informed that any haircut, (other than the most basic one, which looked like a real hack-job), would cost me even MORE MONEY. I felt like this manager was TRYING to loose my business! Finally, the employees were very rude, unapologetic, and completely closed-minded about the fact that their website displayed FALSE ADVERTISING! I refused to leave my pet here in the hands of these unprofessional, unsympathetic people. I left immediately and was able to get my cat groomed the same day at PetSmart for a much more reasonable (and fair) price. I will NEVER visit Utah School of Pet Grooming ever again and I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS.

Fantastic service only problem there was miscommunication between the person whom took my hairy ones in the morning with the other staff member. I told the staff in morning that I will pick them up in the evening and did not inform that to the other staff member whom started calling and calling.

We are a non profit that trains small non allergenic dog as service dogs for the disabled. For years now this pet grooming school has done beyond quality and professional grooming for our beloved little dogs. Their courses must be done by extremely educated and wide teachers to produce such quality work.

I called and was told I could take my pups in any time between 10:00AM and 2:00PM to get the nails trimmed. Went in and before I finished the paperwork they were done. Very friendly, professional, and personable. Felt like they really care. Pups were happy the whole time.

They arent accommodating for time frames, and consider a shepherd/collie mix a large breed. If your dog is ready sooner than the pickup time they will call you continuously to pick them up, and have no respect if you cant be there because youre working. Also, their idea of referring you to a different place would be in Millcreek on the other side of the valley. I will never recommend this place, and never use their services again.

For a school they do a wonderful job on our female mini aussie doodle. She comes in every 8 weeks wich is about right. They have been able to get her exactly how we like her. She always smells so good but not over powering. They treat her with love and she is always excited to go there. The only down fall is they charge 3% credit card fees so take cash.

My little piece of Shi-zhu has always had a bit of a aggression issue towards strangers, but he gets so much love there and he s never given them a problem from what they tell me. Only recently stopped double checking that we were talking about the same dog

I really like the people who work there, my Austi is a devil dog, and he behaves so well for them, he always smells so good, and so soft. They do a great job Filing his nails, and the trim around his butt is so cute, looks like cotton! And, the price is so affordable. Thank you Utah school of pet grooming!

We took our puppy to them for a haircut and grooming. Lady working was extremely rude to my fiance. Our puppy is less than a year old and he is a hyper little Golden-doodle. The employee was saying passive aggressive comments to my fiance about our dog and then proceeded to tell us that she doesnt think our dog is even a golden-doodle... She Suggested for us to sign up for their training classes cause he is hyper and she didnt think we could train him. Overall the employee was very opinionated and snobby towards us and our puppy. I didnt feel confident leaving my boy with them just from the way the employee acted. We will not be bringing him back there again for sure! We never have issues anywhere else except here. Poor service and poor customer interaction.

My dog only had a wash and small amount of grooming but it was the BEST wash ever. She smelled fabulous and the softness and fresh groom smell lasted for weeks. Before when I shampooed and conditioned her, it only lasted days. I cant wait to bring her back again.

My dog is a pro at resisting the groomer, so I know hes challenging. These guys do a great job grooming him (a midsized shitzu poodle) every time. I always reschedule with them during pickup, because its easy to do it then, they never let me down, and I get a sweet discount that way. Id recommend giving them a try for sure.

The grooming and wash was great our dogs paw was cut and bleeding but nothing too bad we think it got nicked while having his nails trimmed. We will go back to support the school and the students in training.

Better than PetSmart! We were referred by our friend who has a 17-yr-old terrier mix. At first we were leery and wary of a school where students are just starting out and learning. We love our little 6-lb shih tzu Sofie and of course want whats best for her. After some not great experiences with PetSmart (nothing terrible, Sofie just didnt like them and they werent as detailed with her cuts), we decided to try USPG. When they asked us how we wanted her full groom, they showed photos of different face shapes, different cuts, etc. I am a visual person and enjoyed seeing examples. I wanted to keep the black on her ears and the white/black on her tail. The receptionist made notes of everything! Sofie loved them and her first cut was a success! They gave her a full teddy bear face and kept her ears how I like them (black tips just lightly trimmed), and cleaned up her tail. Overall, it was a very positive experience! Would definitely take Sofie there again.

I am very pleased with the grooming my senior dog received for our first visit. He looks great and they took great care to listen to the needs and safety of my senior Australian Shepherd. With my great experience, I am signed up to have my Boxer mix and my Rottweiler groomed and back brushed on a regular basis.

These folks were the only place I could find during the absolute hell of the covid pandemic that opened their doors and their hearts to those of us who still had needs for pet services when nobody else would... I am terrified to cut my own sweet but fearful pups nails, and they were getting out of control when everything shut down during Covid.. The front walk in area is clean.. and of course they took precautions during the worst of the pandemic and continue these practices while we attempt to get back to a measure of normalcy The staff are friendly and professional.. and offer competitive prices for their services And for me, they are very close to where I live Grateful to have them as my go to groomers Oh...and did I mention, they do walk-ins.. bonus Thanks Utah school of pet grooming!!

They are always so sweet and kind to our dogs, and very patience with them. We have adopted rescue dogs. One has such anxiety, and separation issue, he can be difficult. Other groomers have wanted to sedate him. They have never sedated him or suggested it. He goes better here every time, because they truly like their jobs!

First time giving these guys a try. They definitely know what they re doing! They did an incredible job with my Collie mix. It s evident they took the time to do an outstanding job with her. I ll definitely be returning again! I ll be highly recommending them. 10/10

We brought our dog in to be groomed, discussed exactly what we wanted, and were horrified when he was returned to us. He was completely shaved, and his tail and ears were cut asymmetrically. We asked for a refund especially given the razor burn on his feet and backside and were met with a passive aggressive response where the lady spoke to our dog and said you re so cute, I don t know why anyone would complain about you. We were eventually, reluctantly given a refund. Our dog was crying and biting/licking his paws for a week after that. Never again.

I have been taking my dog Doodle here for quite some time now and they always do a great job and make him look so cute and are always professional with a smile.

They were nice and fast. I only went to get my dogs nails trimmed it took all of 5 minutes. I didn t have to make an appointment.

Very pleased with the grooming on our two dogs! The check in was a little hectic. We are not used to the dogs being at the groomer for 5 hours but it is understandable. Maybe walk ins should no longer be allowed. It might be a little more organized if by appointment only. Overall, I was very pleased.

I have never had a worse experience with a groom for my dog. We asked for a short cut because of the heat we will be in down in moab for our wedding, but not too short and she came back looking completely shaved and not blended well at all. She had a gorgeous coat and its ruined , shes hardly recognizable And on top of that she was there for 7 hours and I was told they dont give them bathroom breaks and I discovered after getting home that my dog was dehydrated and begging for water Absolutely terrible experience

My toy aussie looks great! This place was awesome and squeezed him in last minute and then had him done early. He looks and smells amazing and has never felt so soft. As his first grooming experience, he did not seem overly stressed or scared when I picked him up. They did a great job complying with my grooming requests and didn t cut his hair too short! He is going to love his new summer doo with this heat

Cat that was matted and very shy got excellent care and they were able to shave him and remove the problem fur very gently. I would definitely bring other animals for grooming in the future.

Very nice people. I have a very difficult dog and they, at no fault of their own, were no able to groom him after trying. They went out of their way and helped me find a solution. My other dog was well taken care of. Customer service, caring, honesty and professionalism are highly important to me, and they exhibited all of these very well. Very clean as well. Ive had problems twice before this and left discouraged, but not this time. Support these students, they have great teachers assisting as well.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. DO NOT take your cat here. Everything went wrong from the jump. First off we had an appointment scheduled for 3:30, and they said it would be an hour. Were waiting and waiting and finally get a call 2 and a half hours later and they inform us that they had another cat that came in that they tended to first because he was more aggressive. Icing on the top of that cake is they call us to say he is ready when we asked to be called before then because we are 15-20 minutes away from the place. Second, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, we brought our cat in for a shampoo, brush out, and nail trim with no shave, but sure enough when we go to pick up our cat he is completely shaved. We told them both when booking the appointment and when dropping him off that we did not want him to be shaved AT ALL. And to top it off they did a TERRIBLE job with the shave. He has tufts of hair everywhere, paws and head are completely uneven, and they claimed that toward the end of the shave he was aggressive so they had to stop. $70 for terrible service, awful care, and you have to tip before service, which unfortunately we did. They said theyd fix him up next week for free, but why would we trust him in their care again????? Please save both your cat and yourself the headache and the time and go somewhere else with more professional service.

They were so good with my long haired doodle. He looks so good with his haircut. I used a groupon - and they were very good to Let me know it is a single use coupon- and are working with groupon to resolve issue where they want to offer it to repeat customers. They do have some pricing that is incredibly reasonable. They were attentive and helpful- - 10/10 would recommend.

I took my nervous terrier for his first professional groom since I had him (6 years). He looks amazing. They people here are very professional and they were great with the my grumpy guy. I bought the Groupon and I will be back... He looks so cute. Thank you to Kaila

Since quarantined I did not take my dog for a haircut because of covid and I did not want to risk my dog and my safety and we had the discount and the lady was rude on the phone when we tried explaining our situation and why we did not take my dog to get a haircut and she was stubborn and still made us pay full price and every time I would call they would say they were busy and if I could call back in 15 min everyday and once I stood infront of 7 eleven and their was no people which means they were not busy I just think it s unacceptable . Next up I take my dog for a walk everyday, and he gets tired and when I went to pick him up they told us we couldn t take him anymore because he could pass away ok did not have to be that rude and I payed full price for them to leave my dog with a lot of hair left over and when we signed the papers the tail was half shaved not like how we wanted it and the picture did not match I was satisfied before but not it s just unacceptable

They are always great with my dog and take the time to make sure he has a comfortable visit as some dogs are a little nervous in a new space. He always comes out looking like a rock star.

This school is one of a kind. The owner Lynn knows so much about animals and the psychology of how a dogs brain works. Before coming to this school I knew nothing. Not only that but I was triggering my dogs without even knowing it. I m proud to say I spent 6 months here grooming and going to school for something I love. I am sad to be leaving especially since this is my family.

When I got there. I was totally welcomed with great uplifting attitude and atmosphere. (And just to think Ive been in a not so good mood because I couldnt find anyone to help me or point me in the right direction to get my guinea pig nails trimmed. I called 18 places and couldnt find anyone until NOW!!! WONDERFUL CHEERFUL people. Made it seem like if Ive known them personally for years. I WILL AND WOULD AND AM GOING TO RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE I KNOW FOR SURE!!

We have been travelling for two months and were looking for a dog groomer. A search in the Salt Lake City area returned quite a few but this one caught my eye. I couldn t be more pleased with the grooming services the our long hair dachshund received here. He looked fabulous after his haircut and the cost was reasonable. Utah School of pet grooming is awesome I couldnt tell you anything better than just go check them out I love them so much that I not only take my dog there I took my neighbors dog who was in really really sad shape and they took him on short notice and they took care of him and got rid of foxtails put medicine on him bandage him up and loved on him . my dog is real picky and he loves them a lot so I cannot give them any better review then that.

I brought my pup in there to get a nail trimming. He can be anxious and nippy and aggressive, especially in new environments. They were very patient and understanding and helpful. The owner trimmed his nails and gave me very insightful tips.

I am very happy with my experience, I have a very opinionated and spoiled cat and he does not like to be groomed at all and they did a very awesome job. They were phenomenal with him. I am very impressed. Thank u

Tried to give another chance NEVER AGAIN 60$ for a HAIR BRUSH thats it. Not even a good hair brush very sad. They were not going to give my cat back when I said WHAT 60$ FOR A HAIR BRUSH. They held my cat ransom would not give him back.

I think the service I had was superb! Amanda did an exceptional job and had to deal with more than I could expect my dogs to give her. She delt with the hardships with ease and made me feel so warm knowing they were in her hands! I want her to take my dogs each and every time, she and everyone I talked to were so friendly and reassuring to me that I knew I had nothing to worry about. Thats huge for me because I love my animals so much and I will only trust this place from now and forever!

I called at the last minute as I am passing through town for a couple of days. They got me in right away, then texted & phoned to let me know she was ready. Lady came out fluffy & soft, nails trimmed, and wearing a cute bandana. Would recommend. Prices very reasonable compared to what I normally pay in another state.

My Dog Kitty enjoys her visits to the beauty salon. She is always pretty & happy when I pick here up. Nice pricing & they take great care of her.

I dont live too far from this school, and found out that when I took our family service animal there they took very good care of her, smelt so clean no shedding, and just happy. Took her there again she was a little feisty cuz she was in heat but they worked with her and I was so happy that they did they did as much as they could but it was still a good job I would recommend bringing anybodys animal there to have them groomed my dog Lizzy is happy and were happy too.

Very happy with my first experience here with my dog. They took lots of time when I dropped her off to make sure we were on the same page regarding her groom. They have pictures and charts up so you can point to what youd like. She looks adorable and came out when I picked her up wearing the sweetest little blue bandana. Love the text reminder about the appointment and alert of when I can go and pick her up.

They did such a nice job on my doodle Charlie. They were very kind and were done much earlier than initially quoted. I will definitely be going back!

The staff is always nice and know who my dog is just by seeing me. They also have helped me out when I bring a homeless mans dog in to get her groomed. They have given food for said dog and will discount her grooming for me. They are always great with my dog, which I bring in on a regular basis. And they did awesome on my two cats. The were not stressed out when I brought them home. They have been with other groomers.

Im not happy with this grooming place. I been taking my dog since they opened and today I call to make a appointment and they reject my dog because shes old. Wow. This the kind a place you dont want take your dog.

They took terrific care of my fur baby. Unfortunately, theyve cut their business hours to the point that they are unavailable for appointments or phone calls outside of shortened weekday hours. I miss Saturday hours.

They are absolutely amazing. I adopted a new dog that needed grooming. His hair was matted and he was so smelly. These amazing people not only eased my fear of dropping off my new baby but they made him feel comfy. We will be going back every 6 weeks. Highly recommend. This location isn t that close to me and I will drive there every time.

I saw a Groupon for this place and thought it would be a great deal! Here was my experience: Pros: -The people here are super friendly and I had positive conversations with them despite some confusions -They had an availability a day or two away which was nice not waiting for a week or more to get my dog in -My dog returned happy and handsome with very fluffy fur Cons: -The prices for their services online are incorrect; I was told their prices have gone up and they don t have a way of adjusting the menu online. I wouldn t have purchased a Groupon for this grooming center if I had known the *actual* price of their services. -The staff/students, though friendly, were very confused about what to do after I booked an appointment and had my husband bring in our dog; they had to call me while I was at work to follow up right after my husband had dropped off the dog. I was a bit confused about this miscommunication and frustrated that they didn t just call my husband or double check with him when he was there. -The staff/students were also very persistent in trying to sell us add-on services. This was kind of annoying and I would have just appreciated having a menu online of all their services so I could know exactly what to tell them on the phone. -My husband dropped our dog off and he told the staff very specifically to not cut any of his fur. When our dog returned, we found that someone had clipped some areas on his underside. While we appreciated someone doing it without us paying for it (I think?), we were not informed that this service would be provided and there are also places where it s very choppy and looks not so great. While the people here are super friendly, I probably won t be back. I would give them a try first to see if it s a good fit for you.

My girlfriend and I went to a behavioral training here last night and it was awesome to say the least... I Love this kind of stuff... It was a top notch experience for US... So happy we did this for our date night activity... Very informative, well educated, and experienced in depth... Cant wait for for more ...

I ll be honest, I was skeptical about coming, but 2 minutes after being home from the class and it was so worth it. I was on the phone and made mention my dog has anxiety when we leave, and they made a small suggestion that has worked every time. So, we went to the 2 hour class That was offered by Lynn. I would recommend that class to anyone!! We got home and immediately tried what we learned and within minutes our dog had changed behavior. They also had a dog, Mo, in there, and we were able to see first hand what the behaviors/energies we give out do to our animals and how it impacts them. Lynn was great and made a 2 hour class (that ended up being 2.5 hours due to it being so informational) very fun. It didn t feel like it was that long. It was clear Lynn is passionate and good at what she does. I will bring my dog here for grooming services to continue supporting them past the training class.

Great place to take your cat! I took my long hair cat who had mats everywhere. They cleaned her up beautifully and handled her with love the whole time. My cat was very happy when she came home. Highly recommend!!

We took our golden doodle puppy to get groomed and he was hacked! We just wanted his face, bottom and feet cleaned up, but they completely shaved all of his fluffy teddy bear fur! He won t even be a puppy anymore by the time it grows out! He looks like a rat, not a teddy bear! I m so upset I actually cried! Please train your staff on how to groom golden doodles. They just don t look good with super short cuts.
