Simply the best place to get anything for your pets

Friendly service from cashier. Walked in to wash our dog at 5:15p and the lady said they take the last dog wash at 5pm. They recommended another spot about 10 mins away. It would seem if online their hours show open until 6pm that you d be able to come prior to 6pm. Still, lots of fun dog treats in the store and I love that dogs are allowed in the store. Hopefully I ll get the chance to use their dog wash at some point and will rerate at that point.

This is a great place to bath your dog! Tubs are clean, supplies are plentiful and the staff is so nice and helpful. Will definitely be back!

I was referred by a few friends to visit this store because they could advise me on the dog foods for my 3 dogs, all different needs and breeds. I finally went today and brought my malamute. I was hoping someone could help us recommend a food brand to help with his weight loss. The cashiers did greet me when we walked in, but no one offered to help me. After standing for a while and looking at all the dog food, I decided on one and asked if there was a larger bag. The woman just said no (someone purchased them all, I guess) and walked away. The store wasn t even busy, one customer came and went. This was a bad experience and the worst service I had received in a long time, which is sad because I wanted to support a small business. (I have with 3 large dogs and I spend so much on food and treats.) As of now I rather go elsewhere or continue ordering from Chewy.

Ordered a birthday pizza for my dogs 3rd, but the woman taking my order over the phone misheard the spelling of my dogs name. They let me know of the issue immediately once I went to pick it up, offered to remake the whole thing with the correct spelling in a quick 40 minutes, and refused to charge me for it even when I assured them that I was perfectly happy to pay! Awesome experience, and the fresh pizza smelled so good on the way home that I was getting jealous of my pup. Ill definitely be back - I didnt get a chance to look around the rest of the store, but if the giant bully sticks near the register were any indication, they have some fun things in stock.

We love this place. One of our dogs had a lot of difficulty eating and this place recommended a brand that he loves. They always help me to my car with the heavy bags without ever being asked. Staff are polite and knowledgeable.

I have a grandpup who is very furry and I feel like I would get less debris/ Burrs / foxtails and cosmic debris if I were hiking a swifter sweeper than my Bode - It takes an hour to properly clean pup - tub - etc. I was in and out of Pa Ma s under thirty minutes had phenomenal service and product and young ladies were all so friendly and welcoming- they provided great shampoo - brushes to get all dander and dirt quality sprayers , blow dryers all accessible from standing position next to elevated wash basins , they even provided hand bands to protect ears , very impressed with this place , We pup and I will be back

This place is the best when it comes to meeting your dogs needs. The workers are very knowledgeable and informative. I came in to get some special food for my boys and the worker Jo talked my ear off for nearly 2 hours about all she knows about the different dry foods, canned food and treats that could possibly work best for my boys. And everything I got that she told me about has worked out great. Definitely coming back!

I called ahead to see if a product was available. New employee said yes , it was . So I took time and gas to drive up to purchase the dog lead. Got there and nope, didnt have what they just told me they had. Not apologetic at all. Will not be going back there !

Besides having tons of yummy treat options for the dogs, their customer service is the reason that I ll be back! I had found a supplement on the shelf that I thought would work for my dog, and instead of just letting me buy it and leave, the guy at the register asked me a few questions about my dog, let me know the supplement wouldn t work for her, and recommended some alternatives. The fact that they weren t just trying to make a quick buck off of me and took the time to educate me even at the loss of some revenue for themselves speaks volumes and I ll definitely be back for more dog advice and to buy anything they recommend!

The staff is rude and can be argumentative. They treat customers like idiots. I have experienced this several times and will no longer purchase from them. Once it was an uncomfortable heated discussion about proteins in dog food and whether it was good to offer a variety of novel proteins or not. And most recently it was about their dog food guarantee as I was buying a new product. At checkout I was NOT told that I had to keep the food in the original bag for that 100% guarantee. Therefore I lost $60 when my dogs did not like the new food. I am very upset that their omission at check out cost me that money as I was never told the rules. They would not believe me that I was not told. The customer is never right At this Establishment. I will happily shop at Amazon or chewy now instead of supporting this local business.

My dog have a sensitive stomach and their food sits well in my dogs stomach. They also have lot of high end dog foods that will fit all your pet food needs. I recommend this place for any pet lover. Every time I ve been here the lady at the front counter has always been very rude towards me. She s always very short and snappy. Today was by far the worst experience I ve had here. I purchased a pizza for my pups 3rd birthday about a week ago to pick up today. I was never told that I could not pick up until after 12 in the afternoon, I asked for a refund since I was unable to come back in, they claimed they weren t able to give me a refund and instead gave me a cookie that I don t believe was the same value as the pizza. But I reluctantly took it since I didn t want to argue with someone who wouldn t even want to hear me out. She also grabbed the paper with my information on it and stated to me that they wrote 12 for the pick up time but I had not seen that paper at all so was unable to read it to even know. I refuse to shop at this store from now on, regardless of how much I love their products. I refuse to be treated like less of a person by someone who obviously should not be in customer service.

The amount of different dog foods and flavors this place covers is awesome. Then when you round the corner you see a bakery case, with fun treats for your little pets. We only just went off a recommendation of a friend, and we are going to continue shopping here.

Although, I absolutely love this store and I m actually a regular! Been shopping here almost immediately after I heard about it! Amazing store with great products! I buy baked dog treats all the time and cakes for special occasions! Well today, I came in because I m switching my boys back to the Farmina brand dog food and I came to figure out pricing and which one was best! Not only did I not get assistance, but as I was asking about pricing the girl at the counter seemed annoyed by me when I was clearly asking a question! Normally, they re super nice and friendly but today was super irritating that I couldn t get help for anything today. And the worse part is, another customer came after me and she helped him with no hesitation! And as I was checking out, she didn t ask if I wanted a bag or anything, she basically shoved my receipt in my treat bag and sent me on my way! So yeah, I got super irritated and got my things and left! I ll probably try shopping at another location and maybe they ll have better customer service!

My son and his girlfriend moved into our basement apartment and brought a puppy with them. I have a very spoiled male springer spaniel that is 11 and very active, my son was his world and now he has a pup. Needless to say this has caused a great deal of contention. I came in hoping to get advice and ended up being lectured and told how irresponsible I was for letting my so move back home with a pup. I explained my Springer has always been anxious. Thankfully another gal that worked at Ma and Pa s suggested lavender oil and a cbd treat.The lavender seems to be a great fit. The cbd treats knocked my springer out so we decided to just stick with the lavender.

The folks here helped us so much when we were trying to get our senior cat to gain some weight. They really know their stuff and have wonderful products at great prices. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I went to return a bag of dog food and was criticized for deciding to go with a different brand of food, based on our vets recommendation. Wouldn t have been an issue, except she was aggressive and hostile in her approach to inform me. She proceeded to tell me that I was inadequate to be a parent because of my decisions I made with my puppy. She ridiculed my veterinarians recommendation for sticking with the Costco brand food or any food other than the Whole Foods of dog food, (which also costs 5x more) obviously pushing her business agendas. Overall the experience was very negative and I was insulted. Wouldn t recommend this place and unfortunately for me, I got $50 in store credit for returning the food, that will probably go to waste.

Ma and Pays Bakery is the best place in Salt Lake to purchase all of your dog and cats needs. My dog had been having some digestive issues for a few months, went through rounds of antibiotics with the veterinarian with no success. I went into Ma and Paws and asked for their help, they recommended a change in food, a probiotic, and a powder to put on her food to help with her digestion. Within 3 days of these changes all of her issues went away! She was healthy and happy again. Just recently my dog has had a flare up of her autoimmune disease resulting in blisters on her nose. I went straight into the shop and asked what to do, they recommended a wax and it has started to heal within two days of use. The employees here are so amazing and trustworthy. They really care about you and your pets. I highly recommend this store.

I just moved to Salt Lake and Im so happy I finally found a amazing store with a amazing staff (after trying many other holistic stores). The owner is SOOO knowledage about all of the products and about dogs. I go here because I want to give the very best to my fur baby. Its such a good feeling buying awesome products from awesome people who actually know what they are talking about. I dont think if you went into pet smart people would be spending 45min minutes with you to choose the best food for your animal... Ma and Paws genuinely care about their clients and animals. I could go to a dog food store much closer to me, but I go here because of how amazing this place is!

I have been a customer of Ma & Paws bakery for a few years. I now have moved away but still speak to them on occasion in a different capacity. I just have to say I adore Megans exuberant personality. She is enthusiastic & devoted to sharing her knowledge with others and in verifying what she says. Even when she knows what should be done/given, she goes the extra mile by making sure there isnt anything else to be added in helping your animals. Plus...she doesnt treat her customer as if they are ignorant, which I truly was until recently. She never made me feel that way, though.

This place has a dog bakery that serves great tacos and tequitos that my Siberian Husky Sasha absolutely loves.

As a place to get dog food and treats, they are fantastic. Ive not had a bad experience with the staff. Generally, its first class. I dont live anywhere near here. Its a special trip for us. Even though I dont know a place that does a better selection of food, I dont buy mine here. Normally, I would have a hard time figuring what to get and need help selecting a choice, but I get raw food from another place in Park City, so what do I know? One thing they have better than anywhere else is fresh frozen marrow bones of the right size for our dog. She loves them as a treat. They are human quality, so Im often on the edge of cooking them up for myself. I havent yet. Previously, I would get harmons to cut some up, but it was always a process to get it done. No longer. There are always great choices for treats you just dont see anywhere else. We make a special effort to get here a couple times a year when in the Salt Lake area,

I recently moved back from Portland, Oregon and was really worried about getting my usual natural brand of food. I called Ma and Paws and sure enough, they have my brand. The girl on the phone was incredibly nice, genuine, and helpful. She set aside a bag for me and gave me a couple suggestions on other dog food. Ill definitely be going here for all my fur children needs!

These guys saved our bacon!!! So we get there 3 minutes after they close, doors locked etc. and of course its Saturday, theyre the only one nearby who carries our brand of dog food(primal), we only have enough for the night and theyre not open Sunday.... But!!! They checked on us while we were standing outside wondering what to do next, got us a bag of food and got our info so they could charge us Monday since the till was already closed. If I didnt already think these guys were awesome today would have clinched it. Amazeballs.
