We have a year old Great Dane Weimaraner mix and needed to feel less stressed when we had company come over, and have our arm not rip off when going on walks. Tip Top K9 totally transformed our big goofy girl into a superstar! Now all of our friends want to enroll their own pup!

Ive trained a couple of my other puppies through other methods. They were OK. But, Tip Top K9 in West Jorden is a big step above the rest. My puppy had developed some behaviors that needed to be corrected. He ignored any attempt at training. Taking him for a walk was a lot of work! He loved to run around the house when I called his name. It became a Catch Me if You Can. Tip Top K9 was recommended. I did the boot camp package for two weeks. I cant believe the difference in my dog. I cant believe how obedient and responsive he is. Taking him for a walk is now a happy experience for both of us. The staff is amazing. They are SO patient and I loved how they treated and worked with my dog. I got an update on my dog every week. The entire staff is kind and supportive and always had time for questions! Marcella, Chad and Josh love these dogs as if they were their own. You can tell by the way they treat the dogs and go out of their way to help the dogs succeed.

We did a two week boot camp for our 4 year old rescue dog. She s now response to commands and will walk on a leash, which will be amazing as a family dog!

I recently picked up King from a train & board with Chad! I swear he gave me back a completely different dog. He gave King a chance to re-socialize with lots of other dogs in a safe environment. He was reactive to every dog and uninterested in listening, leading to my own frustration with him. A train and board felt like a good reset for King to relearn the basics away from the current stressors of home. Now with the basics, King and I get to continue to train together to have better aggression management out during the day instead of walks in the middle of the night to avoid people/dogs. The train and board is quite expensive but now I have a solid starting point to relearn with King, a boarding facility I know and trust, group training classes for the rest of his life and a trainer I can bother with infinite questions about how to maintain King s training. I feel like the expense is worth it! I would highly recommend Tip Top K9 overall!

We could not be more pleased with TipTopK9! Our boy Murphy did the 4 week boot camp and it s been life changing. The group class after was so much fun and we plan on going every week. Tip Top K9 was the best decision I ve made for my dog. Rocky is an 8 year old cattle dog and has never been a plays well with others type of boy. I decided to get some extra training help after moving across country, in case we needed dog sitters etc if we went back home. Tip top K9 trainer Josh met with us laid out the plan available for our stubborn pup. He had no hesitations of both himself and his trainer Marcella s ability to get Rocky where he needed to be before we needed to board. Rocky LOVES Marcella and was always so excited for his class with her. After Rocky completed his training he stayed at TipTop K9 while we travelled back east. I was terrified, and with valid reason as an owner of a reactive dog. When I got home Josh greeted me with videos of my non so nice pupper playing with other dogs, and working on his training with multiple dogs mere inches away. I was stunned. The dog who reacts with all hackles raised and teeth barred played with several other dogs. So grateful for Josh and Marcella taking the time with Rocky and me! I could not recommend them enough.

Chad is super friendly and very knowledgeable. He is very patient and I would 100% recommend him every time!

We initially came to TipTop after two dogs in our family went there and gave glowing reviews of the staff and training they received. And they have absolutely delivered! My goals for my corgi were to have off-leash ability and excellent recall (chasing him down the road one time and suddenly I realized his recall actually *wasn t * that great). It was incredible to see how he went from a stubborn, defiant dog to a dog that, while still both of those things, was willing to listen, obeyed commands, and could go places more. We can let him play off-leash, he can walk beside us without pulling or barking, he has better interactions with other dogs and people, and is generally a much better socialized and well behaved dog. We worked with Marcella and she was absolutely amazing! She is friendly, knowledgeable, and patient without compromising on the quality of my dog s behavior. Working with her, we got all our questions and concerns addressed and got the dog that I could only hope I would have. Yes, it is an investment, but they truly 100% care about you and your dog and your success in your dog-human bond. I would absolutely recommend at least going in for a consult to meet with them (especially for only $1!!) because you really will see results between you and your dog and your relationship.

I was very skeptical that they could take a dog with no real training and in 4 weeks turn him into a well oiled machine. The staff were so nice and responsive, while he was out for the 4 weeks. We are so pleased with the 4 week bootcamp we sent our dog through! He is still the same lovable dog but now listens so well! I can t wait to bring him to the free classes to make sure he keeps up on his skills! The one piece of feedback I have is he came home really dirty and matted. We are going to have to completely shave his ears and part of his tail to get the mat s out.

Honestly I m so pleased with what I m seeing in my dog so far. He just came back from bootcamp and he s so much calmer and responsive overall that the whole family feels more involved and happy with a dog in the house, which is what we wanted. Our toddler has claimed him as *his* dog and the two of them are so so sweet together. He s such a sweet dog and now that we are communicating better with him and bridging that dog/human gap so much easier he s just an absolute treasure. The reality is our family is SO busy and we simply didn t have the time to dedicate this level of training on our own so bootcamp was a great fit for us. It s pricey when you first look into it but having Bruce back and following through with his training and commands as Josh instructed us made it worth every penny. Everyone I ve talked to at TipTop has been extremely professional and communicative and I m so looking forward to our lives with our pup Bruce. I m so grateful, thank you for helping us get our Bruce the perfect dog !

I had an absolutely wonderful experience working with Tip Top K9 and more specifically with Marcela! She was so friendly and helpful, clearly very skilled at her job. i worked with marcela and she is an AMAZING trainer. she helped my dog understand things faster than i have ever been able to try. they use tools like an e collar and recall commands. depending what package you purchase you can have lifelong group classes for however long your dog is alive.

I had been struggling with my dog biting the leash and jumping on people for three years. After the first session with Marcela, my dog transformed. She is now the most well behaved and tempered dog. Josh was our trainer and he was AMAZING! We could nkt be happier with the results we saw with our dog, Theo. Theo was highly reactive and showed aggression when in stress, but with Tip Top K9 we have been able to condition Theo. Now we can take him on walks, go on car rides without him barking at people. And when we are eating or when I am cooking he is great about staying in his place. I LOVE the results we have seen with him.

Best trainers! We had a very reactive australian shepherd mix that was hard to take anywhere without him barkimg at other dogs and people. After the first few classes, we noticed Theo was calmer on walks and paid more attention to us instead of other peoples and dogs. We are now able to take theo out at whatever time of day and be confident that itll be a good walk and take him to public spaces without stressing. Tip Top and staff are great! Marcella is WONDERFUL!!! We did 6 private lessons She came to our house to train our family and then, in turn train Indy. I must admit , I was skeptical, but now I am a believer! If you are familiar with a Great Pyreneese then you know how stubborn they are. We still have some work to do with our GP. That said, Indy is doing great & will only get better! I will say if you do the private lessons really ask yourself if your willing to commit to do the training yourself. Keep in mind these private lessons require commitment from the entire family to do the work/training consistantly. If you want the reults, you have to put in the work. Marcella is great! She is kind, patient, genuine and natural with dogs! A wonderful trainer. BEST of the BEST! Highly reccomend TT & Marcella!

We have had several dogs and this is the first time we decided to train our new puppy and WOW I wish I had known about Josh and Tip Top training and used it for all of them!! The training gets their attention and helps them to focus without punishing them. It is so effective and works well. Plus the trainer Josh is knowledgeable, and loving with the dogs. My dog was starting to get aggressive, he didn t like my younger brother. We couldn t leave them together. He also wouldn t listen to the commands. Starting the start the training we saw improvement. I was really satisfied on the way the would explain to us how to train him. I have recommended them to other people.

We took our dog to tip top k9 and they uncovered the good boy that he previously didn t know how to be! We had tried another obedience training with a different group before this and he was still struggling. We were worried he was a bit hopeless. But after tip top he responds to commands so well. In addition to incredible results, we feel thrilled to have given business to such an incredible company. During our time away from our dog we received updates, videos and report cards. It was apparent Marcela and Josh treated our dog so kindly.

Marcela is such a wonderful trainer to work with! We adopted a 2 year old American Bulldog / Boxer named Gracie who is very temperamental with other dogs and a very strong puller during walks. She needs walks daily and every minute of them felt so stressful and exhausting! We tried desperately to train her on our own and one day received a recommendation to call Tip Top K9 Training and it s been life changing! My husband and I thought Gracie would for sure show Marcela her stubborn side and do all the naughty things she did with us and we watched out the window in disbelief as Marcela worked with her, she transformed in to a new dog! We just finished our 7th session and are happy to report we can now walk our dog with little to no pulling with complete confidence and control! As well as many other things we learned along the way. The ability to go to classes is going to be a great resource to refresh the things we have learned. This form of training was gentle and effective. Our dog definitely knows when we need her to do something but she is learning in a gentle way. You wont be disappointed!

Just picked up my dog from tip top k9 training he was in for a month and I am thrilled with results. I honestly didn t expect results like this. His knowledge of heal, place (20 min), sit and more is incredible. Marsella was such a fabulous trainer! We put our 11yr old border collie mix - Meeko through a couple of private lessons with her while our other pup was in a full board and train with Tip Top K9. The training tools and methods she uses are so effective and easy to implement on your own that we noticed a difference from the first lesson. Our main issues with Meeko were that he can be so stubborn and LOUD and sometimes reactive with other dogs. Now we have the tools to manage his misbehaviors in a healthy way and the homework to do each week isn t so demanding that you can t manage and you can immediately feel it showing results that with practice will stick. And because the methods are so simple it s easy to remember for future. I also love that we can bring our pups to group classes in the future to help keep up with training. You can tell Marsella and the whole team at Tip Top K9 truly love dogs and care about your pups happiness and safety. Josh has been sending us pictures, videos, and updates on our other pup Mavis the whole time she has been in the board and train program. Every time Marsella came to our house she also gave us updates on Mavis too which we loved. We even got to meet her adorable pup in the last training session to help guide through some distractions for Meeko. Marsella was always on time. Always very detailed and communicative with the training so it was very easy to understand and implement and great helping us through any questions we had. Josh, Ellie & Marcela were very helpful. We re very happy that we went with Tip Top. If you re on the fence, just know that they offer lifetime group class every Thursday and Saturday! Josh was great. I think it s important for people to know that their training consists of using an E- collar. They told me it would feel like a rubber band snap. I paid upfront for services. I hated using the collars. It killed me to use them on my pups. I couldn t do it.

It is amazing how much my dog was able to learn in a week. Josh was our trainer and he explained everything as clear as could be.

We have 3 dogs, all with very different needs. A 2 year old Mini Aussie with little dog syndrome, an 11 year old dog reactive Staffordshire Terrier, and a 4 year old big super anxious Anatolian Shepherd. We sent them to Tip Top s advanced obedience bootcamp (3-5 weeks on average, but they guarantee as long as it takes ), and I honestly couldn t have imagined how big of an impact it would have on our dogs and our lives. It is night and day. It doesn t just happen overnight or without work on the dog parents s end, of course. It still takes some work on the owner s side to get your dogs to understand that all the new skills they learned while they were away still apply at home. But, transferring those skills is so much more doable than creating them unless you know exactly what you re doing. And don t worry from day 1 in your first consultation they will spend all the time you need during their initial visit to ensure that your dog is going to be trainable with their methods, and showing you just what those are. They also have a homecoming party to go over everything with you and making sure that you know what you re doing too! I can honestly say it was worth EVERY single penny. Our mini Aussie now has 100% recall and isn t chasing the neighbors and their kids yapping, our old lady Staffy stays laying down when other dogs by without moving, and out big ball of anxiety is so much more comfortable in unfamiliar situations. And and as if that wasn t already enough their customer service and communication was was outstanding also. Of course, we missed our pups so much while they were away, and honestly we were a little worried that it would change them and their personalities but the short term missing of them, the worry, and the cost was all worth it. When they got home, they were still the same excited pups that we had when they left, they were just much better listeners now. And that is going to add value to the rest of all our lives truly. To Tyler and the entire Tip Top team. THANK YOU! For everything. Not only are our pups well behaved, but, we re more prepared to be better dog parents also and we can t thank you enough!

Marcela is an amazing trainer. I was concerned my Husky was not going to do well in training, but Marcela was able to get his attention and focus. She taught us how to be better pet parents. I highly recommend Tip Top K9 and Marcela in the Salt Lake area.

Ellie is amazing! Our Leroy is doing so well using the commands he was taught at boot camp. I am SO impressed with what he learned in just 3 weeks! Seriously, if you want a big change in your fur baby, Tip Top is THE training camp for you.

Marcela is Amazing. My wife and I adopted a rescue husky from Texas and she needed a little course correction. Marcela helped us teach her and now she is just the best little friend and such a better walker and even more affectionate because Marcela worked with her and helped show her she was safe and cared for. Josh worked miracles for our 6 year old boxer. Our dog was highly anxious and slightly aggressive around our first baby and after a few weeks working with Josh she is like a new dog. We couldn t recommend Josh in higher regards.

Tip Top K9 is an unbelievable training facility for dogs. The training level that your dog will receive will transform your puppy into a well behaved service animal. Marcel was our puppy Roxy s trainer and she bonded with her and instilled in her the desire to obey every command. This training is not an option in my mind, as it allows you to have complete trust in your puppy or older dog. The staff is friendly and you will not be disappointed.

Bella just finished her training and she is doing great! She was always so excited that she would constantly jump up on us or pull on walks. She s still very excited but she listens and follows commands. She was a constant source of frustration and now she s a joy to be around!

We have an 5 month old Aussie doodle, who s very energetic and dramatic and a 8 year old black lab/collie mix, who s stubborn and has struggled with aggression. Before we started working with Tip Top K9 our dog Leo (pitbull) was loving to people but aggressive towards other dogs. After our sessions with Josh, Leo is now able to walk around new dogs without being aggressive. The continued training opportunities with Tip Top K9 after the individualized classes will help Leo become more calm and relaxed around other dogs.

Josh is such an amazing trainer. I have a French bulldog that needed aggression training, not only did he help teach me and my dog on how to work with his dog aggression. He also helped me with basic commands. It has been more enjoyable to have my dog now more than ever. Josh is such a good person he gives my dog love and attention while working with me and my dog on training. My dog is aggressive with my older dog during feedings and he has helped me get that under control. Its also a work in progress still but my dog has been doing pretty well on his aggression towards meeting new dogs. I know with me working on it more he will Learn to ignore and eventually be good with meeting other dogs. I got more out of training than I thought I would and I am so pleased with how good my dog has been. Thank you so much josh, I cant wait to see bo progress even further as time goes by.

Round two! Moose did so well we brought our new 7 month old frenchie to Tip Top K9. What a great job Ellie and Josh did with her. Trust me, having trained dogs is such a great way for you to enjoy them and them to understand what you are asking of them. We are super grateful for the time they spent getting our dogs trained. It s well worth the money! Josh Johnson trained our lil frenchie Moose this March and my husband and I are so impressed with how well our gig is doing. We look forward to group training and keeping Moose socializing with other dogs. Josh is amazing. We have 2 beagles, (2 years old, and 11 months old) and wanted to make sure they were good canine members of our family and society. We have had numerous pups over the years, and used lots of trainers. From intensive resident training where the trainers take our dogs for months at a time, to group classes and eveything in between. All the trainers focused on exerting your dominance over your pet type training. Not Tip Top, and not Josh! Training was natural, non-confrontational, and no forcing your will on the dog. It was much more like a partnership, and showing the dogs what we needed them to do, through gentle training and repetition. He offers training where he takes the pups, or he offers training in your home. We chose to have him come to our house each week to work with the girls in their own environment, around their normal triggers, and situations. Our younger beagle loves to please and picked things up really quickly, despite her puppy attitude and playfulness. Our 2 year old is more independent and stubborn. But the training style worked great for both of our girls. Training them isnt a chore, and frankly isnt hard, or frustrating in the least. It seems more like a partnership. In a short time, the girls were coming when called, sitting and staying, and going to the assigned place and staying. We wanted to make sure they didnt jump all over when people come to visit, and we wanted them to walk without pulling, and not bolt out an open door. We just had our last formal visit tonight. While they are not 100% yet, they are about a million percent better than they were a few short weeks ago. They walk on leash without pulling, sit, stay and can go in public without going crazy. They are now a joy to walk with, and I love to let them go out in public because they behave! I cant say enough good things about this program. They have group classes too that we are excited to take them to. So they can continue to reinforce their good behaviors around other pets and people.
