Ruff House in Orem

My dogs get insanely excited when I start packing their food because they know they are going on vacation and will have fun with other dogs.

The turn over rate of Ruff House employees is ridiculous and management has a tendency to be rude. I also dont like how they pick their favorites so dogs dogs dont get treated equally. I talked to another pet owner whos dog ended up with a huge gash and the management didnt take any type of responsibility for it. Ive also had dogs leaving that smelt like they were held in a dirty cage their entire stay. I wont ever visit Ruff House again.

Been going to the rough house for a few years now and recently switched groomers to Mary. She does an amazing job!! I swear Im not even getting the same dog back!!

I ve been bringing my puppy to Ruff House for about a month now, and I ve been consistently impressed. The staff has always been exceptional, the pricing is reasonable, and my puppy always has a great time. Update: November 19 I regret to inform you that I will no longer be taking my puppy to Ruff House. While the services are fantastic, and the staff has always been wonderful, I had an unfortunate experience yesterday that has made me reconsider. As a young working professional, balancing a budget with a dog can be challenging. Currently, I cannot afford to pay a lump sum for a daycare pass. I understand that this is more expensive, but I simply cannot give up that expense at this time. When I informed Becky about this, a customer immediately needed to either pay for a day or purchase a pass right after me. When the lady behind me said she would be purchasing a pass, Becky rudely responded in front of me, saying, I thought you would want the pass. I just don t understand why anyone would want to do anything else. If there s anything I ve learned, it s that if a staff member is willing to be so rude in front of a customer, I can only imagine how other staff members are being treated and how that affects the overall environment. I don t appreciate the rudeness or passive-aggressive behavior. Update: September 24 Five years later, my boyfriend decided to take a chance and try Ruff House after being unable to find any other suitable boarding options. He was promised pictures and updates during his dog s week-long stay, but he only received one update more than halfway through. When he picked up his dog, who was supposed to be bathed, he noticed that she was not and had a strong odor still on her. The worst part was that when he left, he noticed that his dog s eye was pink (which was not pointed out by the staff). When he took his dog back, the staff said, It s fine. She probably just got some shampoo in her eye. Give her some Benadryl and rinse her eye out. It turned out that during her stay, it s possible his dog contracted kennel cough and developed an infection in her eye. I highly recommend against bringing your dog to Ruff House.

Everyone here is amazing and so friendly! They take great care of our fur babies!! I trust Ruff house explicitly with their care.

I have boarded my dog here twice now. The first time I left her was great! She had a blast she stayed for two nights. We got updates on her. She seemed to have a blast. The second time I boarded her here. I left her all of the meals she would need, and when I picked her up, they gave me all of her meals back, they didn t charge me for using their food, so I am guessing she didn t eat for 3 days because when we got home she was so hungry. I don t know that I ll be boarding her here anymore. I will be taking her to Sydney s Bed and Biscuit instead. I just don t think they pay enough attention to feeding and caring for the dogs here. My dog is my world and when I board her I need to trust that she will be fully cared for.

The dogs had a blast, the staff did great at keeping up on updates, walks and one in one time and came home hammered they had such a great time. Ill board them again for sure!

I love Ruff House. I was scared at first to leave my great dane with anyone but the workers here have given her great experiences. Their baths are lifesavers. I love the security of knowing there is a place for my puppy to go on long workdays or for vacation

a groomer here broke my friends dogs tail and didn t tell them about it until they notice their dog not being able to go potty or walk. they refused to take accountability and refused to help with cost of care. please take your dogs elsewhere

I have two very energetic and large Huskys. We have been researching for a new overnight kennel for extended vacations. I loved Ruff House. We filled out the registration on line, and checked for availability. We then made a personal record of each dog and uploaded the vet shot records. All dogs must be up to date on all shots, that keep my dogs and the other dogs healthy. We then were scheduled for an interview, which consisted of bringing both dogs in and letting them play for about 2 hours. During that time to staff evaluated their behavior to see if they could in fact take part in open play yards and which play yard they would be happiest in. There are several different yards outside that have toys and play equipment to entertain them. Ruff House attached a full review to each of the dogs profile, that I can view online at any time, and even added a photo of them playing. The play yards are supervised by staff inside the play yards at all times. When not outside playing, each dog has in its own kennel with a doggy lounger and blanket. The staff feeds them breakfast and dinner and can even give them treats if you desire. I felt their prices were reasonable and after watching the staff with my dogs, Im confident they will be well cared for.

We dropped Kuma off for 5 days. They sent us a video of him playing ball with the other dogs. He eats homemade food and they catered to his feeding schedule and made sure his food was kept cold and fresh for him. They wore him out! All he s done since being home is sleep. Thank you guys for taking care of him while we were on vacation!

Guessing this place is severely understaffed. Tried calling, but phone system is designed to never connect you to a person. If you get the voicemail, it hangs up on you before you can even finish your name and number. They force you to only communicate through the website, which is not a good experience. When its this difficult to get ahold of someone, I wonder what kind of attention my dog would get. Im already stressed about my trip, so trying to dance around a bad website and no communication is more stress I dont need. I cancelled my boarding, but there was no way to cancel the interview which costs more money and is not mentioned during the booking process. Owners... please fix your booking system to include the interview for first timers and/or make it obvious how to add it later. Having to dance around a bad website that makes you guess how to schedule an interview, guess how much it costs until booking, and guess when the actual date and time are is a frustrating experience and only adds more work for your staff. Also, please be honest with why you have phone if you design it to never connect to a human being; the world has enough chat bots. :(

Update: Weve been coming here for the last 10 years with 4 of our pups.i cant say enough about how great the staff are and how we love coming here! When our husky lost her companion, she was super depressed, but the staff helped her come out of it and gave her extra loves. He been gone for 2 years now and they still tell us memories of our sweet boy. The only way we wont come here is if we move! Thanks for taking care of our pups! I use the daycare service and my dog absolutely loves it. I like that she is socializing with other dogs and other people and not home alone all day. She comes home happy and tired and is sleeping much better at night. The staff is amazing and friendly and I feel that they truly love all of the pets that they take care of and service. I cannot express how pleased I am with Ruff House!!! My puppy went in for an interview on 04/20 and I was pretty nervous to say the least. We have had problems in the past with people watching our dog BUT Ruff House was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! They totally eased all of my anxieties and Suki had the BEST time yesterday. I love the pictures they sent and the report card had plenty of detail for me to know this is definitely a trustworthy place to leave your pup. They are very accommodating and now I feel so much better about leaving my pup here for a few days while my husband and I are out of town. If I could give more than 5 stars I definitely would! 10/10 recommend!!!

Our dog has been to many daycare/boarding places. We came across Ruff House while driving through Orem and decided to see if they would be a good option for boarding our dog. Our dog is 13 and just enjoys chilling. One thing I love is that they split the big dogs into categories depending on their energy. Our dog is among the mellow fellows. I am impressed by the cleanliness of the place, the communication of the staff, and the accommodating to our dog s temperament.

I like this place because I can make my appointments easily and they take such good care of my geriatric dog who is a delicate flower.

I was told about Ruff House from a friend and I couldnt be more pleased with this place. There website is easy to navigate to setup daycare/boarding/grooming. The initial evaluation went great and was easy to setup. I have one dog with anxiety and they are completely understanding and make him comfortable. I suggest those with negative reviews to register on their website. Its so easy and they post all your dogs info and upcoming appointments with balances due. You can see the availability to schedule daycare, boarding, and other services. Its simple and they list their prices for you along with the option to add-on services. By doing everything online this makes its easy for staff when you drop off your pets so they arent constantly on a phone. They are great with my dogs and I feel at ease when I drop them off that they are being cared for!

To be clear, the groomer was amazing and incredibly friendly. She took great care of our dog. Im leaving this bad review because the customer service for desk workers at their location is HORRIBLE. First of all, there are 2 addresses I guess? One for the front desk and a separate address where they groom. The separate address where they groom has no sign anywhere to indicate its the same business. When my wife pointed this out to the guy at the desk he got really defensive, saying it couldnt be more clear...more clear than NO sign on a SEPARATE building that is 2 blocks down the street? Ive never been to a groomer that didnt groom them in house. And his attitude was terrible. We are pointing out that its confusing and that maybe they should add a sign or improve their communications in their email so its more clear in the future and he immediately lashed out. There are plenty of other groomers around for your business, dont bother here.

We were passing through town, and wanted somewhere our pup could get a break from the car. Its difficult to find a place that takes dogs without prior temperament evaluations, and when youre traveling, they arent aways feasible. Ruff House offers a daycare option for people who dont need regular services. Your dog isnt let loose with all the other dogs, but instead gets 1 on 1 time with a person. Ergo, the temperament assessment was not needed. The staff was great, and our boy seemed to have a good time! So glad we found these guys, well absolutely bring him again should the need arise.

Always a good experience so far. I have used their kenneling services many times and my dogs come home happy and seem happy to go back there when its time again

Our dog loves it here! The staff are kind and friendly. Its nice having a place to both board her and drop her off for doggie daycare. It makes boarding a lot less stressful for her since its already a place she knows, plus she gets to see all her friends!

I came here for the first time the other day and everything about the appointment was amazing!! I booked with Nici and it was my dogs first grooming experience which I was extremely nervous for because I ve heard horror stories from other people taking their dogs to bad groomers and them not taking care of the dogs. But she did SUCH an amazing job! When he came back he looked so good and evenly cut and he didn t seem nervous or anything he was very happy! I was also impressed because he had a lot of matting around his tail and on his stomach so I was nervously anticipating him getting cut from that but nothing! I m so glad we found this place and if you re looking for a groomers I highly suggest this one

Have have boarded our dog here a couple is times and each time we have been very pleased with the care and service the Ruff House provides. The staff are happy, helpful and kind. The facility is clean, and the open area in the front lobby makes it easy to maneuver through. Our kids always miss our doggie so much and the updates and pictures the Ruff House provides all of us with a piece is mind that our beloved dog is being loved and taken care of. We LOVE Nici!!! She s the only groomer we ll take Honey to! She s kind, calm, communicates well with us, and does an excellent job making our mini labradoodle look gorgeous and all cleaned up! We ve also noticed Honey doesn t show signs of stress when dropping her off or picking her up. Which is a huge stress reliever for me. There s groomers I would not recommend here, and if it wasn t for Nici, Ruff House would not have our business! Whether we choose the classic doodle teddy bear cut, or try something new, she respects our preferences and always makes our pup look great!

We love the Ruff House for our girl Lady! Staff is always so friendly they actually know how your pups day went if you ask! We love Hunter too shes always so nice and polite to us and she knows how our dog s day went when she s there she tell us without having to ask! And we love that they are opened on the weekends too! Not only that they are very opened about their schedule when to pick up and drop off!

While I understand policy and business practices, but I cannot and will not recommend this establishment ever again. Instead of having an opportunity to allow grace and humbleness, they stuck to their guns and will make $700 of off my family due to having to change plans due to a family emergency. We werent asking for anything that would have harmed them one bit. We asked for boarding credit, but all we got was $40. While I cannot guarantee theyd be able to schedule other puppies to take up the room mine would have, but I have a reasonable belief they could have.

Im so happy with the service. I have a Great Pyrenees and I know how challenging is to groom her and yet I loved the result. Nici did a great job. My dog was clean and perfectly groomed. We definitely are gonna come back.

We are picky when it comes to who cares for our pup. We wanted to have him come here the first time we ever boarded him, but they were full. I took him to another shelter and I cried during our trip because I was so worried and had no idea how he was doing. Our dog trainer Jess told us she works here part time so we knew the staff would take care of our pup. We taking him to daycare weekly and have boarded him a handful of times and he has so much fun. The only thing I wish was that he didn t smell so bad after daycare.

DO NOT GET YOUR DOG GROOMED HERE! We took our dog here to get groomed and when we took him home, we noticed his ears had very large lacerations on the ends of them. We instantly took him to the vet where the vet informed us that what was on his ears was blood stop glue that is used by groomers when they accidentally cut a dog s ear. The cut was deep enough for us to need antibiotics and stitches. It s horrible that the the groomer didn t tell us about the cuts and still charged us full price ($120)! After reaching out to the grooming services about the concerns, they denied our claims and ignored our emails. This is a SHADY company and they will hurt your dog without care or accountability. Go somewhere with a better reputation.

We took our mini dachshund here. He hasn t had his nails done in over a year because we couldn t find anyone to do them. In the past he gets pretty upset when he gets them done. When we took him here he came out wagging his tail. They did a really good job and his nails look great

Bad experience. Took our dog to get her nails done. Setting up appointment on their website was not easy. (Only way to do it)Very antiquated system. Required way too much info to just get nails done.Appointment was only for the day without a specific time. The receptionist seemed very busy and not too inclined to help. Whole process took over 45 minutes and her back nails were left pretty long. Will not be coming back.

I left my daughters dog. He enjoyed it because he was anxious to go there each day.

Disappointed in Ruff House.

We took our puppy there to get her first haircut she came out super cute. they were very kind and I like how their website is so well laid out and easy to navigate. I can see how much everything cost I can set my appointments online it was just very efficient. my puppy also came out super cute to after her haircut. Staff was really nice and answered all my questions asked me how I wanted her haircut and it went really well. Will definitely be going again.

Here are the reasons we liked this facility: -report cards and photos were nice -Staff was friendly and forward when I dropped off my dog. She warned me about kennel cough in Utah county and offered free cancelation -facilty was clean when we toured - I am leaving a poor review because my dog now has pink eye. We have worked with many boarding places and this has never happened. I understand they cannot control all of the allergens that my dog may come in to contact with, but his symptoms when I picked him up were very obvious. His eye was brown and green and dripped down his face. How long would they let the symptoms carry out had I not picked him up.? Do better.

UPDATE: our dog has been to the vet now three times because he contracted both kennel cough and pneumonia here! NEVER EVER RECOMMEND!! The facility staff were super nice and informative at first, but when I picked up my dog they didn t tell me he had a runny nose, he definitely didn t have this when we dropped him off two nights prior. I messaged them and they just said that they didn t notice anything which is super disappointing. I give two stars just because they did play with my dog and did update with pictures, but now we are having to bring our pup into the vet for extreme mucus and shallow breathing.

Horrible! Never take your pets to this place! Place smells like urine. There was dog pee even in the check in and store area. We asked them to clean it up. First impressions! Had boarding reservations two weeks in advance. Won t take your pet last min if the dog is in heat! Our poor dog went into heat the day we checked her in. They refused to keep her. Therefore we missed our flights and a snowball of events and money out for us personally not having anywhere for our dogs to go last min! Messing up an important planned trip! This place was nasty from the time we pulled in there parking lot. No shade for pets. Outdoor area is turf which again smelled up the whole parking lot by the smell of pee. Don t take your precious pets here. My guess they would catch something and bring it back to your home. It s disgusting!

Updated review. Although I think Ruff House is a fun place for dogs, they have a kennel cough problem. My girls got it in 2020 and my MILs dog and SILs both got incredibly sick in 2022. Happening once is an accident but unfortunately its problem enough that i dont feel comfortable taking my elderly dogs back. I watched my MILs dog who was too rambunctious to stay at home while we worked. I took him to daycare everyday and he would come back a fully exercised dog that clearly had a fun time. My girls have stayed here before too and I was surprised how well they remember each dog and know their personalities. Everyone I met knew knew our dogs names even if I had never seen them before. They clearly care about each dog, Id highly recommend them.

I absolutely LOVE Ruff House (and so does my pup!) and cannot imagine my life without their wonderful staff and services. My dog gets so excited when we pull into the parking lot because she knows she s going to get lots of love and play with her best friends. I cannot recommend them highly enough. My experience taking my dog to daycare at Ruff House has been nothing but delightful. We love Ruff House!!!

I boarded my puppy using the premium boarding package and got updates on her walks and 1 on 1 play time everyday of my vacation. It was so nice getting the multiple pictures a day, it really put me at ease because I knew she was having a lot of fun. Very good staff. They took great care of my baby! I attached an example of the types of pictures I got from her walks and play time. When she wasnt on a walk or 1on1 play time, she was in open play! Its so comforting knowing she wasnt stuck in a kennel all day.

Love this place. Our puppy play hard all day and then sleeps for 2 days.

I always love taking my pup here! She comes home exhausted and having had so much love from the staff! They always remember her name (even when its been months since her last visit). Keep up the excellent work you guys!

Are you looking for a new groomer for your pup? Are you browsing through Google reviews for a great place to take your doggo that is recommended by a bunch of other dog parents? STOP!!! Look no further because Ruff house is the best place youll find in Utah county. They do an AMAZING job. My Goldendoodle has visited the Ruff house for her hair to be cut, nails trimmed and to be pampered by a professional. Ruff house goes above and beyond, they will exceed your expectations. And they are actually reasonably priced! But dont be cheap - be sure to tip your groomer. They also offer boarding services, but I have not taken advantage of that as of yet.

I use their daycare service weekly and I absolutely love them!! They remember my dog by name and she loves to see them. They answer any question I have quickly I wish there was more stars I could give!

We have been clients at the rough house for a few years now, and we are so pleased! The service is very high-quality and I really appreciate The online booking system. It is extremely user-friendly and I feel that I get a very quick response whenever I compose a message to send to the staff/team. I believe their nightly rate for boarding is currently at $40 per dog but there is some discounts there if you stay longer than a certain amount of nights. they just updated their gift shop and check in area as well as their outdoor play yards. I highly recommend getting the upgraded spa bath at the end of your dogs stay because they discounted by 50% which is awesome! Our dogs always come home smelling so fresh and clean and our favorite part; exhausted!!!!

We have them groom our dog and he stays there while we re on vacation and they are amazing! His grooming always looks amazing and it s fast. They treat him really well and take good care of all of the dogs.

Ive taken my pups here to be groomed twice now. They do a fantastic job and are reasonably priced. Nicky was the groomer this last time, and she did so good. She called to let me know they were ready for for pickup, and didnt sugar coat how naughty one of them is, which I appreciate so we can work on the behavior.

I have been happy with the grooming I ve had on my dog in the past. We ve come here several times. However, their booking system is a nightmare and I cannot recommend them anymore unless they make it easier to book. With most places (doctors, dentists, hair, etc) you book the day and time you want. With Ruff House you book a day and time and it always changes the day and time every. single. time. Their system isn t user friendly and you cannot talk to someone on the phone to book.

We take our dog here for grooming and keep coming back because they do so well. They keep records of how the dog was trimmed before hand so they can predict what style you are looking for. Even when we had an unfortunate run in with lice, the groomer was extremely understanding and answered my questions after we had picked the pup up.

I took my German shepherd here after confirming that Ruff House was familiar with the de-shedding needs of this particular breed and they confirmed that German Shepherds were one of their main De- shedding clients. I went through the process of getting the account setup and my wife drove 30 miles to take our dog for grooming. Ruff House called my wife about an hour after she was dropped off and said she was done. That was strange to me because I had already paid for a bath, nail trimming and the de-shedding. When my safe arrived to pick our dog up the dog was still wet. So she was not even brushed effectively let alone de-shed. I emailed Ruff house who after looking at security cameras confirmed that they had made a mistake and that they were very sorry and that they would make right. I have called and emailed 3 times since and they will not contact me. This was the biggest waste of 80 dollars that should have been a simple process. If you love your pet and want it done right then please go elsewhere.

Left our dog for a week and was please with the service. Got updates and photos every day about what they did with him and his health.

Attentive to my requests, on time, excellent price. Mary just groomed our Husky Malamute and although she is a fairly shy dog, Mary got her calm, comfortable, and when I picked my puppy up she was so happy and looked and smelled so perfect and clean! I love the little bows they put by her ears. So sweet!

i have to work at two of my jobs today with no time to stop at home to take my dog out. i decided to sign him up to take him to doggy day care the day before. i got the notification that he was good to go so i went to drop him off this morning and got the notification on my account that he had been rescheduled. there was absolutely no where on the website saying they weren t taking new dogs or that they were booked out due to spring break. this is extremely unprofessional and the fact that they weren t willing to work with me while it was THEIR mistake. not to mention the girl at the front desk wasn t helpful at all. if you know you are going to be that busy then state on your website you aren t taking new clients for spring break and TAKE THE OPTION OFF OF YOUR WEBSITE.

This was our first experience boarding our dog, and I was nervous leaving her for a week. When I dropped her off, her nightly charge was increased $15/night because she wasn t fixed yet, even though she was within their 12 month policy for open play. Because I was leaving to go out of town that day, I had no other option but to pay the extra fee for traditional boarding. I was assured I would get regular pictures and updates, which was promising, and every morning and night while I was on vacation, I would log in to the website to check on my puppy, but no updates were ever given. I was very worried about her the entire time I was gone. When I picked her up, she was bathed, which was nice. She seemed to have done ok during the week, but I have no way to know how it really was for her. They kept a record of how much food she ate (the only real feedback I got), and some days, she didn t eat at all. While she was returned to me clean and happy to see me, the lack of communication was worrisome and frustrating. Based on the lack in promised communication, I would not choose to board my dog here again.

Everyone at Ruff House is AMAZING! They re very friendly and show true love and care for our 15 yr old cocker spaniel, Daysi. She s old so just needs a little extra attention and love. Ruff House exceeded ALL my expectations!

Needed a last second board for a weekend and ruffhouse came to the rescue. Took great care of both dogs and I got two very clean and happy dogs back when I picked them up. 10/10 would recommend.

Love this place!! Its very reasonably priced, and if your dog is not up to date on their shots they even provide them for you. SO helpful! They accommodated our pup when we went out of town at the last minute and he was so sad when we came and picked him up - he had so much fun he didnt want to come home! I was nervous about leaving my dog overnight but that changed very quickly when I got updates with pictures emailed to me! She looked happy and I m so glad she had friendly people and even other dogs to play with while I was away. My only complaint is that she came back with kennel cough but it didn t seem to bother her and went away in a few days. I will definitely use these guys again!

I read some of the other reviews and I was a bit concerned about the kennel cough reports. But I figured I could give it a try, so far I ve been leaving my dog, Lilo, there for daycare and also boarding. I absolutely love that she comes home beyond tired and she s always so happy to be there. While boarding I did get some updates with pictures and she looked so happy. We are very worry-filled dog owners who have a hard time leaving for vacation. We worry the whole time leaving him with a sitter and have a hard time enjoying ourselves. This last trip we decided to go with a boarding house. We used ruff house after getting our dog groomed there and had such a great experience. I loved how they had an interview with our dog before hand to make sure it would be a good fit. they also gave us updates and pictures. This dog momma could relax for the first time on vacation since getting our little dude. I cant recommend them enough!

The staff is always pleasant and our dog plays hard and is worn out when we get home. Its nice to have a place where he can run and play with other dogs close by. The hours are great also.

The people working there are professional animal experts and I trust them with my dog. Even though my dog is kinda an alfa dog and can cause troubles sometimes, in Ruff House they found a way for my dog to play with other pups. I really appreciate their help in caring for my doggy.

I feel like they took good care of my dog. She has a lot of anxiety over being away from us. She started out nervous, but warmed up by the end of her stay. I really appreciated the daily report card with a summary of how she s doing and some pictures.

We were in need of someone to watch our dog last minute and Ruff House was so accommodating to watch our dog for a few days. It was our dog s first time being boarded, so we were a bit nervous, but it was great! We love how they started off with an interview and a couple hours of daycare to first see if your dog is a good fit. We also loved the daily report cards so much to see how our dog was doing and behaving and getting a few pictures a day. It was good to see they walked him and played with him and he was happy Then when we came to pick up our dog they had bathed him and it was nice to bring him home clean. Thank you Ruff house!

My dog had an amazing experience at the Ruff house while us humans escaped for a few days. I did not have to worry if she was being taken care of because she definitely was. She was so tired from playing all weekend that she slept well when she got home. The Ruff house has amazing communication & we even got a report card of how she did during her stay. They treated her like she was family.

I m a pretty overprotective dog owner and I literally trust these people so much! They take such good care of my little guy, he literally gets so excited to go and always leaves exhausted and happy. Playing here helped socialize him to other dogs so well and the people who work here are so nice, friendly, and my puppy is always so excited to see them.

Took 3mnth old puppy for the 1st time. Great people that work here! Very attentive and helpful! Pup got her bordetella vaccine then played for a couple of hours. Id say she enjoyed herself because when we were driving off she stood up faced the back window and whined.... I am taking that as her saying TAKE ME BACK. Lol Win for ME! THANKS! RUFF HOUSE

I had to book last minute on a vacation weekend, and everywhere was full. Ruff house was kind enough to call me when there was a cancellation to help us out immensely! My dog has yet to comment on the quality of his time spent there, but I can say he was happy when I pick him up! The update email was nice as well!

I recently noticed on my way to work that a previously abandoned building was now a dog place. When my family had to be out of our house for the weekend without the dogs, I thought to call this new place in town, named the Ruff House. They provide a service scheduling through an app-like browser experience. Its very easy to use, but there is a lot of information to provide well ahead of time, such as vaccination dates AND scanned/photographed proof of those. You can upload pics of your dogs and when you schedule services, it becomes super-easy to specify which dog (or dogs) is getting the service. Subtotals are shown at each step along the way. Selection of services sometimes shows additional options for that service for an additional cost. Ruff House staff are also really responsive over the phone with all my questions. For instance, since my female dogs are in-tact (reproductive-wise), they arent allowed to participate in free play. Thats to protect them AND me. I had the option of keeping my dogs in the same, or separate, kennel at no extra charge. Although my dogs wont easily part from me at ANY location, I still feel safe leaving my dogs here.

Our usual boarding service was booked so we decided to try out Ruff House. I liked the online service to book, but it was frustrating that I couldn t ask simple questions of what to bring. The phone line directs you to the website only. I have 2 dogs and we paid for them to be in a shared kennel. Our 11 month old puppy did fine because he likes playing with energetic dogs. Our almost 16 year old dog had a very rough time. At check in they told me they would give him extra one on one time instead of walks as he is too old to walk very far. Imagine my surprise when the daily updates showed them walking him with our younger dog. I pre-packaged their food (exactly enough for the 4 1/2 days) so all they had to do was dump it in a bowl, but they came home with 3/4 of the food I sent, so what did they eat?. Both of my dogs lost weight during that time but the oldest lost so much that he is lethargic and his bones are poking out. This is a 180 from when we took him in. I think if you have a hearty dog that loves a lot of action, this may be the place for you, but this is NOT the place for an elderly or special needs dog. It cost us over $550 for 4 1/2 days. At that price I expected my dogs to be better cared for.

We bring our puppy here for kenneling and grooming. Obviously we like it because we are return customers and trust our sweetheart with them. The reason I don t give them 5 stars: 1. It s IMPOSSIBLE to get someone on the PHONE. During a week kenneling recently they reported on her report card (which I love and are so cool because they send the cutest pictures of your dog to you while your away) the told us our dog had thrown up. But we wanted more info, but the only other way to contact them was so send them messages online, which is a whole thing when you re traveling. 2. I wish the small dog area was a little bigger. However: -The staff is always very attentive and polite! -The groomers are very talented and do a great job on our pup. -We worry while we are away, but when we arrive, our dog gets so excited to go in and see all the other dogs and staff, she loves it there. -even though she was a little sick (we think due to anxiety) during her last stay, she perked right up and when she came home she was great. We will go again and recommend to our friends.

I took my standard poodle for a haircut and it came out great! BUT it took them about 20 minutes or so to find my dog. The first ten minutes of waiting they brought me my dog and it wasn t my dog. Took them another 10 minutes to find where my dog was. And they tried to charge me more because they thought I took him in for boarding when I already had my appointment paid for a grooming session. Once I got my dog I noticed his harness was put on like a collar. And I went to my car ready to leave until I realized they took of his name tag. I went back and it took them another 5 minutes to find his name tag & they returned it and it was missing the little ring. This place is very unorganized and for this reason I will not be coming back. It was supposed to be a simple pick up my dog after his haircut.

Everything seemed to be ok when I booked a time for our dog to be boarded. We received an update while he was there and when we picked him up they said he did well and there were no problems. Once we were in the car, he started to cough and has been coughing on and off since yesterday. I texted the Ruff house to let them know and I haven t heard anything from them

They treated Luna like a queen. Sent us a report card mid day. Very friendly and accommodating of out of town travelers.

Im super bummed. I absolutely LOVED Ruff House and was so excited to have found a facility that I could take my pup to on long work days. The staff is so friendly and every time I visited the facility it was practically spotless. However, early-mid July I noticed my pup started having a dry hack. At first I didnt think much off it, but then it got really really bad. I ended up taking him to the vet... they ran xrays, blood work and $400 later I walked out with a cough medicine and the vet having no idea what was going on, considering a referral to a specialist to get a scope if he wasnt better in a couple days. He wasnt better and we ended up trying Benedryl as a last hail-mary before escalating his care. He literally couldnt go 30 mins without having an attack. It finally started getting better but my pup was miserable for too long before it did. I had no idea he had been exposed to canine cough, as there was no notice sent out to those of us who had been at the facility. I found out because I referred a friend there and she saw it on the website when she went to book her pup and called me knowing that my pup had been sick. Had I been notified that my pup had been exposed to this I wouldnt have needed to spend $400 on a vet trying to figure out what the heck was wrong, I could have gone and told them what hed been exposed to and received the correct care from the beginning and he could have gotten relief much sooner. When my friend went to do her orientation, trusting that Ruff House was doing everything necessary to make sure they no longer had the canine cough at their facility since it had been about a month and they were taking bookings, she said the facility smelled of urine and pet feces and that they told her they had 50-60 dogs a night there with only 2 staff members. That is insane. I understand its peak time right now, but to have that many dogs in your care with a contagious cough at your facility and only 2 staff members there, you cannot tell me that the facility is being sanitized and the dogs monitored as you promise on your website. This is completely irresponsible and a huge disservice to the canine community. I understand the risk of taking my dog to a public facility, but I expect that facility to notify its customers directly when something like this happens. If my dog is sick, I have no reason to go to your website to book a service. I should have received an email or a phone call. My friends dog now also is dry hacking, which is proof that the facility is not being sanitized and monitored appropriately. I am so torn with how I feel about Ruff House after this experience (and my friends experience) because my experience before that had been so wonderful. But after this I simply dont feel I can trust you guys to be responsible and to put the dogs first.

I brought my 6 month maltese poodle puppy in for her first ever haircut. Ill admit right now, I dont bush my dog, but I like the short hair, so it works for me. The groomer was nice and gave me 3 options of haircuts. I declined all and just wanted even all the way through. He obliged and said he may be able to do 1/2 inch but she may be to matted for it. I asked for 1/4 inch anyway. I hadnt read bad reviews for Ruff house, but a part of me still expected the groomer to not do what we discussed. I was happily wrong. He did exactly as I had asked and even informed my mom (who picked up my puppy) that she did great for her first time. I will definitely be going back to get my puppy groomed there again. Great first experience that left an awesome impression. 5 stars is deserved!

Its a great environment. Took my young cocker spaniel in for her first groom ever, and she was incredibly nervous. They were great with her and she looked beautiful! Im most certainly taking her back.

We have on dog that uses the doggie daycare at ruff house. Although we have only taken her there a total of four times as this point, we feel as though the service we receive and the care our dog receives while there is great, and at an affordable rate. Our dog is always happy after spending a few hours there. The reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 star review is because she got sick with a cough after her first visit there. We kept her home until her cough was completely gone. We have since taken her back a few more times and no new cough. Overall, the staff seems to really care about the dogs and it has been great for our dog s socialization.

My Lab Nora enjoyed all the great care she received. I appreciate all that they offer and at an affordable price. They were very professional and caring.

I normally do not write reviews for business outside of restaurants but Ive recently decided to start in order to help others by sharing my own good or bad experiences. Ruff house is one of the good experiences without a doubt. My dog absolutely loves to go here and often takes a nap in the car on our way home. I have recently tried another doggy day care that did not interact with or exercise my dog whatsoever and that highlights for me just how great Ruff house has been for my pup. Its not the cheapest doggy day care but if you can afford it and want to keep your dog active then look no further.

Update: Im updating my review because the owner has called me and assured he will look into why the phone isnt being answered during business hours, why the voicemail isnt working correctly and how to get in contact while my dog is being boarded. I appreciate the attention to my concerns. Leaving this one star review until I can speak with someone on the phone. Its extremely frustrating to not able to get ahold of anyone when you have our dog! I understand being busy but Ive called several times and waited until the end to get a representative and no one has answered. And it seems like theres an option to leave a voicemail but every time I try, it hangs up on me. Ive messaged on the portal and Ive texted the receptionist with no response.

Puppy comes home happy, but very stinky. The staff is lovely

Our puppy LOVES it here! He is always excited to go to daycare and being able to schedule everything online has helped so much when there is a change of schedule. Also it is so easy to schedule him a bath while he is at daycare which saves us time on the weekend. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. They give us little updates on how he did and if anything super cute happened during the day.

My dog caught kennel cough after visiting. He is up to date on all of his vaccines. I was never informed about any potential outbreaks. He has now exposed 4 other dogs in our house.

I have added 20 minutes to an otherwise 10 minute commute 5 days a week because Ruff House does such a great job with our dog, has helped provide feedback about behavior and health when needed, and sincerely cares about him. The fact that they do full time out of crate daycare was very important to us. They help with meals and meds and have great hours for working folks.

I have never had a problem with the level of care they have given my dogs. My big issue with them is that since theyve moved into their new building their prices have gotten really high and due to that fact I can no longer afford to use their services

I left my dog for grooming for the first time in this place and when I came back to pick up her they had gave her a Parvo shot without any authorization for that. I was very carefully to print my two dogs vaccine records and gave to the girl in the reception. Yes one dog needed the shot another did not because she got her shot in July, like they could see clearly on the copies that I gave to them. The girl took pictures and gave me the copies back. So she told me later , that both dogs needed the shot because she didn t see it on the records. She didn t see because she was not careful to read all pages that I gave to her but Does not matter. You CANNOT give a vaccine in any dog without talk to the owner first! So my dog had 2 annual shots in just 4 months apart. This is totally wrong. And even worse, I never got any apology for this mistake just you don t need to pay the shot. Never ever again this place!

Boarded my dog here when we went out of town! Great place! Good prices and he got to have open play every day which made him super happy and tired! Definitely going back for all our boarding needs!!

I needed a grooming appointment for a small dog. After trying multiple groomers who all told me that their next availability was a month out, a friend recommended Ruff House. They responded quickly, and scheduled an appointment just a few days out. They were quick and professional.

We have two dogs that we take to the kennel when we travel. They feed our pups the food we provide. Exercise and play time is provided. Our Doberman comes home and you can tell he played alot. Great dog to dog socialization. They even give them baths!

No answer when I called. Left a message but never got a call back.

We have small and XL dogs. We used the grooming services. Both dogs had a good experience. They had a lot of treats that would appeal to almost any pet. They also have some high quality dog food which was nice since I was starting to run low.

I love ruff house!! My pup goes 4x a week and he absolutely loves it! He cannot wait to walk through the door. I love the prices and how convenient it is! The employees are all so awesome and love everyone of the dogs. I feel like my dog is being taken care of. The owners are very responsive and aware of everything, I love how involved they are! I highly recommend ruff house!

Our dog Henry loves Ruff House. We take him for grooming and for boarding. I love that they send us updates of what he is doing and how he is doing. They also send us a picture of him. All of this happens during his boarding time. We are so glad that we found Ruff House. It s a great match!!

We really like Ruff House! Our pup really enjoys coming here - he s always excited to come and then so exhausted when he comes home. The staff are always nice to us. The only problem is that he kinda stinks when he comes home.

Staff was great with my pups, super friendly. One of my dogs had a couple nips, which happens during free play but they seemed to have a good time. My only concern was finding out that there is no one present at nights (closing to just before opening) so if there is an emergency, the dogs would have to wait until morning. Thanks to Ruff House!

I called to book an appointment, got to the dumpy place and they told me I didn t have an appointment scheduled, they were rude and ignorant, never going there again and would never recommend that dumpy place to anyone.

Ruff House is a decent place for dog services. The employees seem nice and flexible, and the front-desk area is clean. I also like their website, which offers client accounts to keep track of appointments. I left my dog here for boarding, and I only ran into a few problems. For one, they promised online reports/updates for my dog, but they never did that. For another, they follow their own feeding schedules, not the individual dogs, so they unknowingly fed my dog twice her daily portion, thus running out of the food I supplied, and charged $15 for two days worth of food that didnt sit well with my dog (she vomited when she came home). I think it was more an issue of miscommunication, but overall, Ruff House is a good place to bring your pets if your usual place is unavailable; they have fair prices and a quick response rate, as well as a nice offering of services. Theyre just not very organized or precise when it comes to things like scheduling and quality of service.

Nothing bad happened to my French bulldog. I didn t receive any updates, she was there from Friday to Monday. I called to pick her up earlier than I planned they said I could come pick her up in 30 minutes after they gave her a complimentary bath. I showed up an hour later and she had poop caked on to her little tail, she s never had poop dry up like that and I think it s probably from being in a kennel for so long either way Because I don t believe that they gave her a shower After they said they would I can t believe anything they say. They lost my trust and I ll be boarding my dog elsewhere in the future.

I was introduced to Ruff House by a coworker and was skeptical at first because I wasn t sure if we could afford it or not. Luckily, the rates and plans are so reasonable. If only I had known about something like this with my previous dogs! Ruff House s half day and hourly rates allow us to drop the dogs off real quick to run errands or clean the carpets, or whatever we need to do. I love that option because our dogs get enough kennel time at home as it is. Even more, I like having the option to drop one, or both of the dogs off, on days when there s too much work to do at home and know that they will still get exercise and socialization. Sometimes we drop one off just to address littermate syndrome. Our dogs are in a day training program right now that we signed up for prior to learning that Ruff House offered training, but we do fully intend to ramp up our visits again soon! And when I read reviews like these I usually think they are compensated somehow, but that s not the case here. I am just really satisfied with how kind they are to our picky little pups and love hearing them freak out when we pull into the parking lot so they can go inside and leave me standing there like I m simply a means to an end.

Love that my dog doesn t have to stay all day to get a haircut! When he is there they are working with him and he doesn t spend most of they day sitting in a kennel.

I didnt realize my dog wasnt up to date on his shots, and they offered to do the vaccines there which was nice. They did an amazing job grooming my pooch, and were both pleasant and professional. I would definitely recommend Ruff House, as I will be going here from now on.

Sent my dog with 3.5 servings of food and got 3.5 servings back with a note that she finished a meal. That math doesn t add up. She was also supposed to be offered a half lunch but there s no indication that it was offered. She also returned from boarding bathed with no explanation. She s not hurt or anything and they didn t charge us for the unexpected bath so that s cool I guess...

It did take a while to get my dog dropped but I could tell they were focused on my dog. They did amazing and were so quick! They are quick to respond and it s super easy to set up appointments! I will continue to go back!

Very sad experience with one of the person who answer the phone. They basically throw on my face the cant take dog that they not neutering. I was little disappointed with the way they said it sound very discriminative.

This is the place we have watch our dog while were on vacation. Also their daycare is a weekly thing for us. The employees are amazing and our dog is very happy there! We recommend it to all our friends.

We took our mini aussie there to get groomed, nails clipped, etc... Our dog is a farm dog and had numerous burrs matted into her hair by her ears that we couldnt remove by brushing. The groomer, Mary, did an excellent job, and we have a happy, well groomed dog.

My wife and I dropped off both of our small dogs for 2 separate day-long day-care stays while in Utah visiting family. The dogs presumably had a great time because they were exhausted when we picked them up. The Ruff House staff that we spoke with were really nice and had a good organization in place for checking in our pets and retrieving them in a speedy manner when we came to pick them up. Overall, the facility is good and most likely, the dogs enjoy themselves for the most part. My only reason for not giving it a 5-star rating is due to the location and size of the play areas. Ruff House is located in a garage adjacent to an automotive repair facility. In fact, the entire commercial strip-mall of sorts, is all automotive repair, body shops, etc. The parking lot is FULL of vehicles in varying stages of repair (or decay) depending upon how you see it. This said, it makes parking sort of challenging when arriving to drop or pick up the doggos. Secondly, before dropping off our pets we were allowed a brief look at the facilities. They are well taken care of and clean, albeit for the large dogs, kind of small. Hopefully, as Ruff House expands the size of play areas for larger hounds will be taken into account. Finally, I would recommend Ruff House if youre looking for a place to leave your pets for the day while youre out, working or just need a break at home. :)

Me and my fiance have taken our pup named Zoe here for about two weeks fairly often since her first stay for a weekend about two weeks ago. Staff is extremely kind. Actual dog lovers. Real care, not just a show. They absolutly are taking the doggie day care and dog boarding as a serious service, and vip treatment as if the dog was there own. We will continue taking our pup there for any overnight or even daycare needs in the future!

Really great place to take your pet. They seem to have different groups depending on your pet s demeanor so our dog did well with the chill crowd. We loved that they sent daily reports of his behavior and sent photos making us feel better about leaving him. The location was right by an auto shop so it felt a little odd but I know they just got a new bigger location so it should be 5 stars next time for sure.

We took our Labradoodle there a few weeks ago to be boarder while out if the state. With a few days of picking him up he began coughing. I tried to contact them, left a voicemail with no response. We basically paid to get our dog sick. They were very nice and friendly when we checked him in and picked him up. Just never responded to me so I could let them know about our dog and hopefully alert to the problem.

We took our hyper Jack Russell Terrier to Ruff House for overnight boarding for (5+ days), we were nervous he would run away or escape because he loves to do that with us. They did fantastic and he didnt escape! They also clipped his nails in 5 min when we picked him up, that is AMAZING! It takes us at least 45 min and we end up with a bunch of bites. Worth it! We will post his adventures on instagram @ fetchingfrodo. We loved the updates they gave us and Frodos report card. We will for sure be taking him to Ruff House again because we know he will be safe there.

I read reviews that said that they gave dogs kennel cough without informing people that they had an outbreak. I thought it would be fine because most of the reviews are very positive. I was wrong. My wife picked up our 4 month old Great Dane and was informed that they had dogs there with kennel cough and they had known for a few days. She now has a cough and it s getting worse. They said nothing when we dropped her off. Nothing. This is a business that will willingly take your money knowing that the environment is extremely dangerous for your dog. It is so dangerous for dogs, especially puppies, to be exposed to this. We never would have dropped her off if they had told us. I will never ever take my dog back here and I will tell anyone I know to never take your dog here.

EDIT: the owner promptly called and refunded my money, given the situation. I sincerely appreciate the effort to reach out. For me, this speaks volumes about the owners character, and how they want the business to be run. I failed to read the fine print regarding a valid and necessary policy, and the employee failed to see that the policy isnt intended for customers who are eight minutes late. Im very happy that both parties could communicate in a civil manner and my complaint could be resolved. I recommend Ruffhouse! Dogs are treated well. Customers, not so much. I was recently swindled out of 30 dollars for showing up EIGHT MINUTES after noon. Apparently picking up dogs after 12pm costs an administrative fee. I was not informed of this at drop off. And yes... Im sure its in the fine print... thats probably what the generic response will try to explain to me... but 30 dollars for being eight minutes late to something I wasnt aware I needed to be on time for? This is not how people should be treated. I pled my case briefly to the young lady at the counter and got: We have a five minute grace period, but its almost 12:15. What!?? I have two problems with this. First, I had to wait for another customer before the employee informed me of this late policy. She might as well lock the door until almost 12:15 and charge me for being late. Second, almost 12:15 isnt a time. It was a way to inform me that I was late, and she wouldnt budge. I didnt make a fuss because Im not in the habit of calling young girls thieves and swindlers and crooks in public. I paid the money. My point is, the employee prioritized the companys fine print shakedown policy over the human relationship with the customer. The service isnt bad. They took care of my pets. Reports were sent, as promised. The dogs had been cleaned when I picked them up. But a local business treating customers the same way faceless corporations do left a bad taste in my mouth. Unless Ruffhouse issues a personal apology to me and promptly refunds my $30, I will not return my business, and will not refer them to friends and family.

We found a good, clean environment and lots of play for our 2 dogs. We were also pleased with the feeding schedule we asked to be followed. Caregivers were friendly and well-liked by our dogs. Would use this facility again if needed.

Our St. Bernard puppy loves Ruff House. We have been brining Rocky to Ruff House for about a month now. I love that they temperament test the dogs beforehand. They have large play spaces and the facility is very clean. I also appreciate that they have down time for the dogs as well. I love being able to schedule him to play and then have him groomed after. The staff is amazing!

Friendly and professional staff made me feel comfortable leaving my dog for the first time. He had a blast and we will definitely board him with Ruff House again.

They were amazing! My Dog has been struggling with a groomer and no one will take him. Last time I had to put him to sleep! Ugh so awful. We gave him a relaxant pill, and they were willing to give it a try!!! They said it was a success, they were the Best. He looked great seemed happy when I got him back. They even said they loved him!!! My new groomer. They even have a shop inside. I wish they would of wore mask though.

It was nice to leave my dog overnight somewhere and not have to worry about her. We will be using this service every time we leave to go out of town. Also, loved the report card aspect. I do wish the daily walk and one on one time was included in the price though.

My dog has been happy coming and leaving. However her feet have been covered in urine. She smells so bad. I thought maybe it was just a one time thing. I took her back the next day and the same thing. Urine soaked feet. Luckily I had towels in my car. :(

Boarded my 9 month old pup for 4 days. When i picked her up she was DRUGGED! She would barely respond to her name. Her eyes were dialated and she slept all night.

I love Ruff House. Ruff House has given me an opportunity to socialize my my fun loving pit bull puppy Stewart in a safe and controlled environment. Since I started taking Stewart to Ruff House he s more polite, well mannered around other dogs, calmer at the house, has a positive outlet/safe space to release his energy. And is over all more happy. It s Not just the environment that s great but the staff here ( Jess, Jessica, Hunter, and many more) are talented and gifted with working with dogs. By their calm and confident demeanor and love for dogs.

My husband and I were nervous at first to pick Ruff House because our dog had never been there, but we tried to book our usual place too late for the holiday. It also was going to be the longest we had been away from our dog. After reading reviews and looking at the website, I was really impressed! So professional and responsive! My dog absolutely loved staying at Ruff House, plus it is more affordable than our usual dog boarding place. They called a few times before to check in and make sure they had all the information they needed to take our dog. They sent us multiple report cards with photos of our dog during her stay. We will for sure be boarding our dog here from now on. Also, a few random pluses about the place, it s super clean, smells amazing, and they bathe your dog if they re staying more than a few days. Our dog came home happy and smelling clean!

Hit and miss what youre going to get here. Some employees know what theyre doing and some dont. The vaccine requirements are lies though my dog caught kennel cough here despite having all of his shots, and between that and the review of the small dog that died under their care Im not looking to be going back. Whatever money you save with their daycare you pay triple playing damage control afterward.

Great service, very professional, my dog never likes to be groomed but these guys are experts at what they do and it shows.

We dropped off our dog Aspen and it seemed like a great place, the staff was excited, we were gone for 6 days and got constant updates at the end of each days saying she was happy and loving the staff. Turns out she got Kennel Cough and when we just got her back 6 of her proportioned meals were not eaten, the feeding sheet says she finished 5 of those 6 days And none of the report cards said she was not eating. The sheet straight up seems like she did well and the report cards stated she was happy and loving the place. I will say the staff seemed very nice. I do not like the fact that the they marked her food chart improperly, and did not inform us during her stay that she was not eating and Kennel Cough was going around. The owner did help us out get her treated and I appreciate that. They were Very nice when I was angry and they handled it very well. Although it wasnt the perfect experience I will say they responded and accommodated and that means alot.

I have a special needs dog that I needed to board last minute. I was really worried about boarding her, but when I picked her up a week later, she was happy and healthy!

The staff genuinely cares about the pets under their care, which makes all the difference as a pet owner. I like that they offer walks and one-on-one play time. I definitely needed that for my Great Dane pup that is full of energy! They are very flexible which is really helpful.

These guys are great. They take care of our two schnauzers. We moved this year but still make the drive to go to them after a bad experience nearby.

The staff seemed great and very friendly. They keep track of feedings and behavior when boarding. My reason for knocking off a star is that our dog developed kennel cough the day we took him home. Hes vaccinated but still happened to get it. While I dont blame Ruff House, I feel like there should be some better checks to prevent sick dogs coming in.

My little pug always loved going to Ruff House. She was older, and the staff took such good care of her. She was having trouble breathing one night, as she sometimes did at home, and the staff called right away, in the middle of the night, to let me know. I was impressed with the service, and my pug knew it, too. We had used a different kennel before and she dreaded going there, refusing to go inside. Not with Ruff House; she couldnt wait to get inside and say hi to the staff. Highly recommend.

Edit: Thanks for your response, Ruff House. I appreciate that you guys are making your best effort. As a resident of the neighborhood by Ruff house, but not a customer I admit, I would never take any pet of mine there. First off, I cant tell you the number of times the dogs have been my infuriating 7am alarm that never turns off. They let the dogs out and let them bark to no end, breaking. Not just at 7 am, but usually all day long. The employees rarely come out to stop the barking, take barking dogs inside (they can be heard even when they are inside, but its better than them being outside), or separate certain dogs. I have heard dog fights where it sounds like a dog is getting murdered too, which makes me worry about their safety. As I have been able to see over the fence, the small dogs have been mixed in with the big dogs which seems quite unsafe also. I hope they have changed this. I hope maybe it will decrease the barking and fights if certain types of dogs are separated. Sometimes ten dogs will be outside barking all together in chorus as Im told they are allowed to go in and out as they please. If they are going to run business next to a neighborhood, they should let their dogs out to potty in the morning and immediately bring them inside until later in the day so they dont bark nonstop and wake the whole street up.

It has been eight years since our horrible experience at Ruff House and I check on reviews from time-to-time and, honestly to see if they are still in business. I see from one review that they now ask owners to sign a waiver that the business is not responsible for anything that happens to their dog while under their care. There is a reason. Our dog was killed while at their facility. True to the reviewer s statement, I was blamed and told that they don t know how it happened. Even once I was told my dog must have looked like prey to the other dog. If you are planning to board a small dog in the facility, be sure you understand the risks. They say that they have taken steps to ensure that small and big dogs are not mixed together. However, they told me two times that my dog would not be with a bigger dog when I left him, frightened that day. I assured him he would be fine as he whined and looked at me with those sad eyes. I will NEVER forgive myself for leaving him there. In the beginning they weren t even going to refund me the remaining boarding fees for the days he wasn t there because they don t usually refund when dogs check out early. (I am NOT kidding.) I was also hit with a huge vet bill. Another owner called a few days later and took care of the financial issues, which I appreciated, but the pain of losing my dog like that and then being treated the way I was at first was u bearable. It still hurts. He was a huge part of our family. I know injuries are common there. When I took my new pup in for shots, our vet was treating a dog for a serious infection that resulted from an untreated injury there. Our current vet treats them often. They won t even recommend them for boarding. Be aware that injuries and deaths have occurred there. They consider this normal (as evidenced by their required waiver) and hide behind, animals are unpredictable so you have to expect things like this to happen. Update 04/18/19: I hadnt seen the response from Ruff House until today. I am glad that Montgomerys story is told to the new employees. It should be shared because it is deeply personal and people should understand how much it hurt and their responsibility they have to the families entrusting their pets in your care. I am also glad to hear about the specific arrangements that you have made to better care for the smaller and senior dogs. I am confused about the reason for Montgomerys death. This is the first time I have ever heard that this was the result of a faulty lock. I was told when this happened because sometimes the temperaments of the animals warranted putting larger dogs with smaller dogs. This was why Montgomery was placed in the play area with a larger dog, nothing about a faulty lock. It was reiterated to me that the lab was able to be with my dog because their temperaments were similar. I was specifically told that this was a common practice at the time and would no longer being practiced at your facility. Seems like that has changed, but getting the story straight would be a good idea.

I was gone boarding my dog for 9 days picked him up he was still wet thats the last of my worries got home and petted his ear right ear feels like it has super clue on it from being bit never said one thing about it like hoping i would never notice! Honesty is always the best policy no madder what very disappointed!!!

I have taken my 2yr old Bernese there a few times with little issues. However I recently added a Great Dane to our family. He is 15 weeks old and was current on vaccines. Needless to say after picking him up, he had a cough. After 3 days the coughing turned into lethargic, fever, complete loss of appetite difficulty breathing and vomiting. We took him into the vet to find her had a fever of 105 and scary slowed heart rate. In a panic they ran him through numerous tests to help determine what he had. Came back as a severe case of kennel cough. He is currently one 4 medications and being forced fed and watered because he will not eat on his own When I called Ruff House to inform them that my dog had gotten sick, they responded with Oh ya, we did have an outbreak. Who gets an outbreak of a serious dog illness in their facility and keeps accepting healthy dogs?! Terrible business practice and we could have lost a dog. I will NEVER take my dogs here again.

Friendly staff. The place is small, It is very loud & kinda dirty. It smelled bad once they opened the back door. It is cheap & they can get you in sooner than anywhere else I have found. I have been once, but will not be going back. They trimmed my girls hair shorter than I wanted & on her back next to the tail they cut the fur the wrong way, now she has a super rough spot still 1½ months later

We have taken both of our puppies to Ruff House since we moved to Utah County and every time they get so excited to see the staff and other dogs! Their facility is clean and I trust them every time with my Pomeranians fur since it can be easy to cut too much off. They love day care and its so convenient to drop them off in the morning and picking them up tired at the end of the day since they love their friends. They have a dedicated small dog room which makes me feel better, and also make sure to have every dog pass a temperament interview so I know my dogs arent at risk possibly spending time with an aggressive pup. The staff is friendly, easy to work with, made sure to send pictures to me of my little puppys first day since I was worried she was too little. They always let me know how they did that day. 10/10 recommend, my puppies have a great time!

Great customer service and quality grooming

I have taken my boy (a 110 lbs newfiepoo) to 3 different daycares in the area and he loves the Ruff House the most. He is always excited to go and excited to tell me all about his day. He spends his days here playing with every dog he can, playing in the water or snow (depending on whats available) and cant wait to do it all again the next day. The staff is awesome with my boy and know him personally, meaning they can tell me (more than he can) about his day, and are very responsive with concerns which they help with immediately. Thank you Ruff House for all of your help.

This is the only place I will ever take my tiny nervous dog to be groomed. Becki is amazing at what she does and goes above and beyond down to every little detail of remembering my dogs name, taking his age into account, any prior injuries hes had. She is also a wealth of knowledge, I so appreciate her and how attentive she is to any and all details. She continually makes him look like the best dog in the neighborhood and after being groomed he is happy and struts his stuff.

Staff was super flexible and willing to work around my schedule. They also helped me find the best service at the best price for my dogs needs. My puppy came back smelling great and so clean and soft!! They did a great job trimming her nails too. Definitely recommend!!

Our experience with Ruff Houses grooming was genuinely amazing. We have two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, and it has been so difficult to find groomers in the area who understand how to properly groom their fur. The groomers at Ruff House listened to what we asked and delivered beautifully. Booking with Ruff House was fast and easy, and their online portal is very intuitive. Overall, we had a great experience, and we look forward to taking our dogs there again! Thanks Ruff House!

The location of this place may seem a little sketchy but dont let it fool you! My dogs absolutely LOVED boarding here. We needed to last minute board them and they had no issues with same day booking! On top of that, their prices are fantastic. Ive never come across a place to reasonably priced. My favorite thing is that they offer hourly day care for a great price. Were from out of town and this came in handy when we realized we had no where to leave our dog while we went on our date night. She got to have fun with all the dogs while we relaxed with out massages! Id definitely recommend ruffhouse and we will use them every time we visit the area (which is often!)

Ruff house did an excellent Bear cut for my toy poodle. I ve gone to five groomers over the past few years and they are by far the best.

We have only been once to Ruff House, but will be back. Making a reservation for a grooming was ver pleasant and informative. We were greeted happily and afterwards they talked with us and offered to ask any questions. The location is a little tricky to find, but overall we had a great experience.

I used Ruff House doggy daycare after first moving from CA and needed a place to occasionally watch my 1 year old pug/mini schnauzer mix. They did a great job and I will continue to use them when I need Saturday day care. I sometimes use a place in American Fork because when the weather is nice they have a yard for the dogs to play in and I sometimes use Wasatch because they are closest to me and I will be using there training :) But Ruff House is great and I have been very happy with them!

Ruffhouse is amazing! The staff is so friendly, and they don t hesitate to help in any way they can. My dog goes to play with the other dogs everyday, and he loves it! He comes home super tired from playing all day. If you request, they will send pictures of your dog throughout their boarding stay, or even just for daycare! I was able to request a grooming appointment online the night before. Ruff House did an excellent job of giving my highly energetic dog, German Wire Hair/Lab, a full grooming and nail Dremel. They were very prompt and friendly . Very happy with entire experience and value.

I brought my two dogs to Ruff House as I was visiting from another state. I called ahead and they were very helpful in giving me all the information to get them checked in. I left my dogs for the day and the check in process was very smooth. When I picked my dogs up they were very happy. That is a good sign of being treated well. I ve left my dogs at other facilities and when I picked them up they were acting weird. I definitely would recommend Ruff House.

Ruff House is fantastic. They love caring for our dog and always try to give us the best deal possible. They even offered to switch our daycare plan when we werent bringing our dog in as frequently to give us the best value for our money. Our dog is diabetic and Ruff House has always been fantastic about administering his insulin when he boards. They can also schedule baths and grooming for your dog. I highly recommend Ruff House.

We have a pack of four big dogs. We have brought them to the Ruff House many times in the last year when we have gone on family vacations and have needed a safe place for our doggos to stay. I always feel safe leaving them there. Our dogs are always freshly bathed and dried when we pick them up, which is just wonderful! The best part is that the dogs are happy, and that makes us happy!

Wed never boarded our Yellow Lab before. The Ruff House turned out to be a good experience for him. The online sign up process was good. Glad to see that safety and health were concerns. The staff were friendly, patient and competent. Our dog got a bath before we picked him up. We were grateful for that.

We take our dog to Ruff House daily and have for years now. I am very pleased with the level of care my puppy receives. She is always excited when she arrives and often doesnt want to leave. This alone shows me how much my puppy enjoys Ruff House and how she is treated, but I have many more reasons to continue taking my dog there. I highly recommend the monthly passes for the value. And I also highly and sincerely recommend taking your puppy doggy to Ruff House.

My sweet 6 month old puppy LOVES going to daycare here. It has been difficult keeping him at home during the work day, so I thought Id try out Ruff House when I found them online. The staff and management have been so kind and accomodating. I have to be in to work early so they arranged an early drop off for my dog to meet my schedule. Everyone at the facility already know me and my dog by name and we have only been three times. I intend to buy a month pass for my puppy because when I pick him up at the end of the day, he is super hapy and excited to see me and then he goes straight to sleep! I know he has had a great time and had fun playing because he takes a nap immediately afterwards. I havent used their grooming services yet, but I intend to and Ill update my review afterwards.

We are first time dog owners, so novice in dog knowledge. From the first moment I reached out to Ruff house, from responses in facebook chat to when I called and then when we showed up for our appointment, Ruff House exceeded my expectations. So willing to answer my questions and share insight and tips for us. Help us feel comfortable in the process of owning a dog. Mary was our groomer and she greeted us when we arrived and her interaction with my dog from the start made me at ease to leave him. When Thor came out he looked like a soft white angel! He was in amazing spirits loving amd snugging on her, so I know she treated him well and he looked and smelled amazing! We plan to come back and also plan to use their daycare services in the future. Staff is very responsive to questions and genuinely cares about my pups! It s conveniently located for anyone in the Orem area. Our 2 pups go to Ruff House to daycare 3 days a week and we board them there when we go on a vacation where we can t bring the pups. Management has been great to work with me on accommodating my sometimes tricky work schedules, which has been so great for me and my pups!!! Thank you Ruff House staff for taking care of my pups when I need to be elsewhere focused on other things.

I am still deciding if I liked this place. Our dog is sooo shy and scared of everything. I would have really liked to see where they were staying instead of them just taking our dog back with out us. There was non stop barking while we were there which probably really scared my dog even more. I was hoping for updates of how our dog was doing. We called a couple times which they did tell us happily how she was doing. One thing that I really liked was that they bathed her before we picked her up, which was really great.
