Unfortunately leaving a 2 star review after multiple appointments were cancelled by the business less than 3 hours before my dogs were scheduled to get groomed. We have grace for the first cancelled appointment (our dogs loved their groomers) but today we received a call with less than 3 hours notice that they were cancelling our appointments due to lack of staffing. Now this wouldn t normally be a big deal, but the owners will be sure to let you know you ll be charged $25 for any late/missed or cancelation if it happens within 24hrs of the appointment. Since we had multiple cancelations on different dates I asked for a small discount for accommodating their lack of staffing. The owners denied any discount. Again, once we can work with but multiple times and then refusal from the owner on any kind of discount for the inconvenience has turned us away. Our dogs loved their groomers and which makes us sad to take out business elsewhere.

My dog was pretty nervous and aggressive but they treated him so nicely and groomed him so perfectly I m definitely coming back.

We have been bringing our fire babies here for 3 years and the service has always been consistent. The girls are amazing when handling both our boys and the quality is outstanding. Having 2 Shih Tzus isn t easy when managing there fur and both Reagan and Raven have been trimming both our boys these past few months. Trims are perfect and our boy look and feel great. I have been going to K9 Design for approximately four years. I have a bichon breed dog, they have hair not fur and require a very qualified groomer. When I moved to Draper, I had a hard time finding a qualified groomer that would even attempt to groom him. Anna at K9 design, always does a wonderful job, she has been very accommodating for my schedule. She is the only Groomer that I have taken my dog to in 13 years, that he does not shake and tremble when he goes in to get groomed. Which tells me she is very gentle and patient with him

Great service except that when I asked for my shih tzu to look like a bear I clearly stated a teddy cuddly bear, not a wild bear. She came out looking like a mini wild bear with a floofy body and a tiny head. Also asked to even out the whole body from head to tail so it matches. Great customer service and fast paced, but cut couldve been better. Will be coming back for sure but with a different groomer

Weve had dogs all our lives and I can highly recommend K9 Design Pet Grooming. We brought in our 9 year old Border Collie who is a bit sore and grouchy when groomed. Kimberly did a wonderful job. I would definately recommend this grooming service.

These groomers really know what theyre doing! My pups looked amazing when I picked them up. They were groomed exactly as I had asked, smelled great, and both were as happy as could be. My boy had quite the party in our garden boxes that morning and was so dirty that I wanted to bathe him before I took him in. (See the before photo.) When the shop called and said I could bring them both in earlier I told the gal what happened and that I was going to bathe him first. She was so kind and told me not to worry, thats what they are there for! Thank heaven! Also, I felt their charges were more than fair for the amount of work they put in. Ill be coming back, for sure!

K9 is the best Ive ever taken my dogs to. For reference I had an Alaskan Shepard and now a mixed breed thats probably a malamute/husky.. so both long hair big dogs. K9 had been the only place Ive found that does such a thorough job that you can see a difference when my dogs come home. They are not really close to my area and 1000% worth the drive.

Ive been taking my Maltipoo here for years, and they do an incredible job. Theyre very consistent with the hair cut for my dog and are friendly.

K9 scheduled us the next (or even the same) day. The service was great, Chewbacca approved. The biggest thing was that they were willing and able to cut his nails without making him hate his life. They are also the closest to our house. So, we are regulars at this place now.

My long time groomer no longer works at K9. I was worried about taking my little Yorkie to someone new. I want to add that everyone there is very friendly and I am always happily greeted. Prices are reasonable for the service your pet receives. It s an hour commute for use but it s totally worth it!

Anna did an amazing job on my dog Stella. It was our first time visiting her. She was friendly, professional, and on time with the drop off and pickup. She s very talented! Highly recommend.

We ve taken our dog there multiple times now, and every single time she comes back with her nails way too short and constantly tries to bite and lick them obsessively because she s in so much pain. They also cut the inside of her ear and it has been bleeding and irritated for the past couple of days. Will not be back, and I recommend if you do take your dog there to not let them cut their nails. I see that you responded to my review and I think that it s only fair that the other customers reading this review understand the real facts. In fact, a few of your facts are just false. Even though we hadn t taken her in for 5 months, we had taken her elsewhere between that period to be groomed. She had mild matting and we understand that, but the groomers took no care in leaving her length even though her matting wasn t as bad as they made it out to be and she was completely shaved. Regardless of the matting, however, there is no reason for her ears to be cut by the clippers and her nails to be clipped too short. This is just straight incompetence on the part of the groomers. I understand that you want to defend your business and not look like the bad guy, but again there is no reason for her ears to be cut and nails to be too short and I just want other people who are bringing their dogs to K9 Design to understand the bad experience we and other people have had who have left reviews. We have no interest in going to your preferred vet as previous reviews have stated that going to this vet caused more problems than the initial grooming (such as the dog who was cut on their nose multiple times). Spending over $100 and receiving a service like this is unacceptable to us and we hope that in the future your other dogs are treated better.

Anna does an amazing job on my Aussie.

I have three dogs that K9 design takes care of. They are all different sizes, ranging from teeny tiny to a pit bull mix. I have seen technicians pick up my big big black dog and do his nails as well as seen Jennifer take singular care of Harley-my Chihuahua. My Harley gets very nervous but she behaves better and I can tell she feels better. I have yet to find another place that takes care of my dogs that well. It is totally worth it!

My standard poodle and mini Bernedoodle always come home looking fresh clean and beautiful. Jen is the best. Having a poodle or poodle mix requires more attention than other dogs at home and Jen always takes the time to give me a tip or two so I know how to best take care of my girls at home. I find it really rewarding to not only be getting a great grooming on my girls but also to be supporting a great small business run out of my home town. I know that these people want what is best for my dogs and always go the extra mile to make sure Im happy with the outcome. The work is great and the groomers are awesome! Two paws up!

K-9 Design provides friendly service--attentive check-in/check-out. They are prompt to minimize time in the lobby where it can be stressful for dogs. Jenn grooms my dog, an Australian Labradoodle, and has given me good tips to help minimize matting in between appointments. The cut is always top-notch and evenly cut (probably not easy with a wavy-haired dog). Even though my dog doesnt like getting groomed, she is happy when she sees Jen.

Great customer service reaching out to me directly instead of replying to my review and asking me to contact them to resolve this. Original review Took the dog for a bath and nail trim. Nails got trimmed but she came home still looking dont and still smelled like she normally did. Basically paid for a very expensive nail trim. Staff was friendly enough.

Raven groomed Sasha for me today - and wow she looks just beautiful! Sasha is 12 years old with some health issues and Raven was super kind and gentle with her. I just love K-9 Design!

Park in the back and walk around to the front. Their prices went up with the move. But I do have to fix spots in my dog myself. And they never cut the nails short enough. But they are ready to get an appointment I never have more than a week out. And the other groomer I like is always a month out.

Anna does such an amazing job with our baby! She s an anxious girl but always comes home looking beautiful. We appreciate that it never takes more than a couple hours and that they do such a great job trimming her up. This place is one of the best groomers we have used in the past 10 years. We are always pleased with how our 2 Yorkies look after their grooming.

Misquoted when we called - average cost for a medium dog is $100 just fyi.

I took my cat in yesterday to get a cut. He did bite the groomer. But when he got home, he was cut pretty short. I think that may have been part of the reason he got scared. Also, I had to take him back today to get finished. And they wouldn t even bathroom. Due to the same reason they said. I paid 117.00 for a haircut that is not what I asked for and no bath. I ve been coming to them for years. But now I m not going to anymore.

The team was extremely accommodating to squeeze us and from what I heard others into their busy schedule. Which I feel is very rare to accommodate on short notice! My dog s haircuts look way better and he doesn t dread going to the groomers since I started taking him to Anna!! I ve had issues with past groomers that would make my dog s hair super uneven and choppy and they wouldn t always listen to what I wanted for my dog, but Anna listens and takes note of how I want my dog to look and makes him look super handsome every time! As well as making sure he s comfortable and taking her time with him if he s ever nervous with something. Definitely recommend!!

Anna at K9 design has been my favorite groomer! My white Havanese poodle comes out looking perfect every time! We have had some bad experiences with groomers in the past and I have never been disappointed here. I have been bringing my pup here for some time...our regular groomer is Ashley, and she goes above and beyond to make sure my dog is comfortable and taken care of. Hes older and cant see well, so needs special care. She calls to ask questions or if she notices something unusual that might need attention. All of the workers are super nice and friendly, and as Kodas mom it makes me happy to hear them say that they love him.

We love K9 Design and have been coming for years! I always schedule with Page and she is amazing! My dog gets super anxious and moves a lot, previous groomers have clipped his ears a few times but Page covers his ears with some kind of cap to help with that. They always take awesome care of him!

I took my two Aussies (mini and standard) puppies to see Jenn at K9 pet grooming and it was wonderful! THE SHOP - The facility was very clean with an open plan, the grooming stations were visible from the foyer area. There is a large foyer to drop off your pet, which was nice to provide space between people and pets. All of the staff were chatting happily with each other while trimming up a variety of dogs. THE STAFF - I was greeted by an outgoing receptionist, whom contacted my groomer and Jenn came out to talk about the services I wanted, areas to concentrate on and the type of cut I wanted for my pets. I felt very comfortable leaving my two puppies there for their first grooming services, because I knew they would be treated kindly and I would be happy with their cuts THE RESULT - After receiving a text and phone call that my pups were ready (a few hours later), I picked up my two dogs. The groomer gave me a progress report on the services provided and how my pups reacted during their grooming. And most importantly, their HAIR TRIMS WERE BEAUTIFUL! THE CONCLUSION - I will definitely return to K9 Pet Design and Jenn with my pups. The family friendly atmosphere, clean facility, professional groomer/client communication, and quality grooming services made this a 5/5 star place (wish I could give more)! I highly recommend!!

9.7.23 Update: still always pleased bringing my dog here. We now see Anna as our previous groomer moved, she takes great care of my boy. Love the staff here. They are always very friendly. I see Nicole and she works great with my pup! Service is generally very fast, and they have always openly communicated if they happen to be running behind schedule.

Our dog can be a bit anxious during grooming sessions, but Jen displays remarkable patience and professionalism. She takes the time to build trust with our dog, ensuring a stress-free and comfortable grooming experience. The results are spectacular every time our baby looks and smells fantastic. We like that we can choose the express service to avoid the additional stress of waiting for too long to be picked up. After trying several grooming businesses, we cant recommend K9 Pet Grooming enough. If youre looking for an outstanding pet grooming experience that goes above and beyond, look no further. They have earned our trust and loyalty, and well definitely be returning for our pet grooming needs.

I was referred to this groomer by another shepherd owner. So I gave em a chance. But was pretty let down. Hes a bigger pup. And although over due for a professional groom. He isnt neglected and does get baths and brushes at home and is an indoor dog. But $160!! Price is a bit steep. But would be acceptable if they knocked it out if the park. Unfortunately they got very aggressive with the de-shed. In some areas he looks as if hes a balding old man theres so little fur left. You can see his skin through the hair thats left. Not something you want to see on your long coat shepherd. Between the cost and end result I wont be a returning customer.

I have had my 7-year-old dog groomed a couple of times at K9 Design & have been extremely pleased both times. A previous groomer I had taken my pup to told me that my dog had nipped a couple of times during the blow-drying process & so she asked me to come get her after only bathing her. While I completely understand that, it had NEVER happened at any groomer before. My sweet dog does get nervous but I explained before I left her that if they just talked calmly to her & reassure her with a few gentle scratches, she does great. After that, I decided to try K9 Design. I explained to Page (the groomer) what had happened before & how to handle my dog. Page did a great job & had no issues. I will drive a little further & pay a bit more to have my dog taken care of in such a way. Give Page at K9 Design a try - you won t be disappointed.

Update: 9/14/23 We have standard poodles and I wouldn t trust anyone but Raven with them. She is AMAZING! She gives us updates and let s us know if she has a concern. She loves and cares about our dogs and it doesn t go unnoticed. If she ever leaves this place, we will follow her. We have told everyone we know that has a dog to come here. We brought one family in that also loves Raven and won t let anyone else groom their dogs. We all love Raven! The staff members are friendly. They do great with my dogs. I do LOVE when they get bows or scarves!

KRISTINA IS THE BEST! Long story short, I started with K9 Design almost 4 years ago when I first got my mini goldendoddle. I like it but I was never 100% satisfied, as 2 different groomers didn t really pay attention to me as I explained what I wanted, they seemed distracted with other people. I took my Coco with about 5 different groomers, but even though I didn t feel completely happy at first with K9, they were always much much better than all the other groomers. I decided to contact k9 and told the receptionist my story of dissatisfaction, and asked for a great and GOOD LISTENING GROOMER, she recommended KRISTINA, and, WOW!! We bring our two dogs here - neither one loves it but one in particular has really struggled and they do such a great job with calming them down and treating them with such care!! We love it here.

Anna took my grumpy old very large GSD and did a fantastic job. I can t even trim his nails and she worked some voodoo and got them done in addition to de shedding and everything else. This was his first trip to a groomer and I m very impressed. One year later: Anna has continued to take such good care of Carlo. He has bad hips and can t really stand for grooming and she carefully got him all clean and trim anyway. Not easy with a 95 pound grump.

We now have a very cute teacup Goldendoodle (full of lots of puppy energy) who is in the very capable hands of Nicole for grooming.
