Beautiful store. It has a lot of stuff but its pricy!!

Didn t really have what we needed and were out of the sizes we needed. Almost every product in the area we went to were taken out of the packages.

Had just what I needed. (Aquarium heaters) Thank you.

Nothing to write home about, prices are not massively better. I use the pet groomer in Mtn View Village, multiple times, not very often does the service justify the time. 4 hrs is a long time to have one dog. Then I am scolded if I cannot pick them up right away.

Told us if we spent 40 that we would get 10 dollars off. So we went back for more stuff then they said oh, you have to join the app online right now to get that. So we spent 5 mins doing that and when done we were told we could get that $10 on our next visit. Seemed like a bait and switch. Then we came back the week after and told them we wanted to use the $10 and she said, did you do it through the app, and itll be good for next time. We were told that last week. She said. I dont see it here. Ridiculously stupid program

Pet smart Grooming salon in Riverton has terrible service took my puppy to get a trim, they returned him all shaved and my Puppy was throwing up the rest of the day after I picked him up, from what I found out it was a new girl that shaved him. They need to have professionals not new people messing up pets hair. I was so mad never going back to that Pet Smart and I do not recommend them at all.

Shopped here for years. I wont return. Poor customer service. My daughter shopped for a pet and bought all the necessary equipment. My daughter had her heart set on a specific turtle. She was told to go home, set up the equipment, and to return in 1 hour to pick up her turtle. Upon returning she was informed the turtle was sold to someone else.

Denied me when I showed up because they don t take cats on Wednesdays Even though I had the appointment made. Why is it an option to schedule my cat on the website if they don t take cats? I drove an hour there just to be denied, I can barely afford gas as it is. Human decency goes a long way, I left crying :(

Me and my sisters went shopping when we were looking at the fishes we were disturbed by a worker named Tawna. We were looking at the fishes and she kept pushing a ladder right in front of us. And she was being really passive aggressive looking at us up and down, rolling her eyes, and grunting the whole time. We made sure to get out of her way to she could have room but she was only hovering around us. So I would be careful going to this store. And especially watch our for the employee Tawna.

Wouldn t recommend this store if you want to be treated like a human being and not a nuisance. Tawna was incredibly rude, passive aggressive, and racist. She has a bad attitude to customers who are just going about their day. She treated myself and my family terribly. There were another group of white girls being incredibly rowdy, but Tawna chose make myself and my family uncomfortable by yelling DO YOU WANT FISH? as I looked at the tanks, and moving a stool that she wasn t using in front of the tanks to block my sisters from looking at the tanks. I welcome any management to view camera footage of this occurrence, to see how Tawna acted rude to us for no apparent reason. She deserves to be fired, I ve seen multiple bad reviews about her, it is astonishing that she is still an employee here. The cashier at the front was no help as well, when I went and informed him of the situation, he responded with, She s having a day. No apology, no solution offered. Ridiculous. Again, would not recommend this Petsmart or petsmart in general to anyone that would like to be treated as a human being.

Wanted to stop by and get some fish stuff with my sisters. But got treated differently by an employee, Tawna or Tawnia was her name. Me and my sisters were minding our business just looking at fish when she walked over and questioned me and my sisters. Do you want fish she aggressively yelled at my younger sister. We re just looking I replied, to which she responded by rolling her eyes, slightly grunting, and looking annoyed. We were just trying to enjoy our time there and the entire time she watched over us as if she thought we were gonna do something or take something? I m not absolutely sure. But it felt racially motivated because there was a group of other white girls she left unbothered. I was mad when I noticed that so me and my sister went to the cashier to tell him about it and he excused it by saying she s having a day which I totally get as I work in customer service but we hadn t done anything so it did not make sense. Anyways 100% would not recommend it here especially if you re a POC or slightly tan because you will not feel or be welcomed, and you will be treated differently unfortunately. :/

Went out with my Sisters for a fun birthday outing, was hoping to find some aquatic plants for my new fish tank. Instead, my sisters and I were racially profiled against by a worker named Tawna . Despite the store having numerous customers, she chose to hover around us as we shopped, shaking her head in dismay as we looked, and aggressively questioned my sister, who was just looking at the fish she s only 9. We went to the cashier to try and see if he would help, but all he did was make excuses for Tawna s actions. I understand customer service is a difficult field to work in, but as someone who also works in customer service, I know that kindness goes a long way. If you re brown or even slightly tanned I d remind you to look out for people like Tawna. Ruined my birthday night, never going back. :/

horrible service, I made an appointment for my poddle last Sunday, I paid almost $100 for a very poor and unprofessional service, they say that my puppy because he was a puppy wasnt allowed they didnt cut the hair under his paws, they didnt They removed the knots, and I had almost nothing. I asked them to cut the hair around his face, they said my puppy didnt leave it, the previous time I paid almost the same and they did all the service for him! This time I didnt want them to cut all his hair, because I dont like seeing him without hair, the receptionist told me that it wouldnt be possible because they were very busy and short on staff. This really sucks I wont be back! for sure ! Now I have to wash him every time he poops because they didnt cut his hair in the area either.

The groomers always do a great job on my babies!

I took my dog several times and sometimes he gets wet and in November 2023 I asked them to cut him and I selected a cut that was not so short and he ended up completely shaved. Today I took him for a bath and they called me 1 hour and a half later to tell me that they had not been able to bathe him since he had some knots and they called me 1 hour and a half later to tell me to look for my dog because they could not bathe him . 0% recommended.

Today my family and I went to PetSmart to get a Pleco for our aquarium, and the lady that was helping us at first was so rude, I believe her name was Tanya. The way she talked and acted made it clear she had no interest in being helpful or respectful and just wanted us to leave. I understand asking some questions about our setup to make sure well provide a good home for any fish we get but no one wants to be treated like theyre stupid and dont know what theyre doing. And thats exactly how she made us feel, then there was another employee that took over to help us and she was awesome!! she helped educate us about what fish would be good in our aquarium and she didnt treat us like we were stupid, unfortunately I did not catch her name. I hope a manager sees this and talks to Tanya about how to treat people with kindness.

We got our Guinea pig here, I think supplies are a bit pricey compared to Walmart but other than that its a great store to get your little furry babies. This is bubbles

They severely neglect their fish. Several are actively diseased, dying, or dead. When you ask the staff, they cant tell you when or if the fish you are buying have been sick lately. If you actually care about animals, I recommend you go anywhere else.

Do not buy fish from here. I bought two more guppies to add to my community take last week. before hand all my fish were healthy (bought from a different store), the two I bought from this location had parasites and i ve lost three guppies total since. When purchasing these two fish, the original fish taken from the tank for me to purchase was pineconing and was swollen, showing signs of illness. After telling an associate they placed this fish back into the tank and gave me a different one after agreeing the fish looked ill. After getting a new fish I now am having to treat my entire tank for parasites.

They sold me a sick canary that died after a few weeks. After I complained, they wouldnt do a thing about it. I will never shop there again, and I suggest no one else does either.

As always, I find what I need for my pets here. The staff is so polite and shows interest in our pets.

85$ for a bath and a face trim (mostly trimming his eyes so he could see) Pretty sure thats the same price as a bath and a full haircut. Congrats Petsmart you are terrible

Groomers are always amazing here!

This pet smart is extremely organized super clean and easy to find stuff in there layout. I ve never been to this one before, but it s 10 mins away from where I work since I don t live up here. I ve been to plenty of pet smarts in Utah and this one takes the cake. I don t know how old or new the building is, but that shouldn t matter when it comes to them having a nice clean and organized store. Super happy and will definitely will come back for sure.

We used to come here a few years ago always for our dog so when we moved back to utah we decided to give them another shot. They consistently keep forgetting to do things I pay for when grooming my dog. This includes nail grinding, cleaning out the ears, etc. They ignored my requests for how I wanted my dog groomed as well. I thought the first time was just maybe a bad day but when it all happened a second time AND they forgot all the extras I paid for in the spring grooming package I decided to be done with this grooming salon. Sloppy, and the customer service is terrible. They gave me excuses and told me they were scared of the dogs they Groom because one dog had bit a girl so they didnt want to do all the services on my dog because they were worried mine would behave the same..... my dog is a 7 year old gentle baby, and has NEVER had any issues with being groomed or biting, my dog doesnt even bark let alone bite....so they projected their fears onto other peoples pets and refused services that I still paid for, and then gave a sob story as an excuse. This was unacceptable and unprofessional. My advice is find another groomer until this salon hires more experienced and professional individuals.

the employees here are SO RUDE. they never are wanting to help or when you ask for it, they seem so annoyed and will literally roll their eyes. TAWNA ESPECIALLY!! we kindly asked when their new fish would be released and looked at us like we were stupid, and then walked away. Like I don t work here how the heck am I supposed to know??! every time we ve come the employees are like this. Except for Brian. He s great. Give that man a raise.

This is a very good little PetSmart the staff is always super friendly very helpful.

They dont always have what you need in the aquatic center. So I can only assume theyre equally as unsatisfying in several other areas. They almost always have natural balance food brand, which has been a godsend for my cats. Also their shrimp are always dead and go anywhere else to buy Bettas because I once bought one who has one eye and was half dead.

The first time I went to this location, after it opened in Mountain View Village, was to make my French Bulldog Igor a name tag, then I started shopping around finding some pretty good deals, the dry food and treats I bought elsewhere were here, I purchased them collars harnesses dog toys everything was very reasonably priced, then I made the decision to start taking Igor here once a month to get groomed which includes deshedding shampoo, teeth brushed, nails trimmed, real nice deal, since then I bought Igor 2 brothers, Morty& Odie ( English Bulldog puppies) cause his brother Prince ( Chihuahua) had passed away recently ( December 2022 )he was really depressed missed his brother& play pal now he has new brothers so now Ill bring them in now, they love going to the store, the customer care and service here is wonderful a great staff, I enjoy them all

This Riverton location is one of the best around! I have taken my dogs to many different Utah locations and I feel like this one is the best. They usually can get us in with not too much wait time, they are friendly and responsive and our dogs always look great!

If I could give negative it would be correct. This place is a real mess and everyone doesnt care about what they are doing. They gave me an appointment for my 2 dogs and after I arrived they asked me for the vaccines and how? Could it be that clients are fortune tellers when it comes to bringing vaccines peoples time is valuable and in this place they dont value ones time. I give it a -5

Easy location to do pickup and go orders. You go and talk to the front and they wheel you what you ordered.

This is a pretty standard PetSmart, offering the basics for all kinds of pet supplies. This location sells freshwater fish, reptiles, birds, and mammals. I shop here for fish supplies and have found everything I need for my little black moor goldfish.

Horrible service and charge extra fees without showing any policy. Will never come back!

This salon is absolutely wonderful! My dog loves to go. While Im checking him in he doesnt want to wait and tries to let himself in. Plus, they do a fantastic job.

Took my dog in and was quoted a time on when they would be done. I showed up and nothing was done but a bath and my dog was left drenched. Two other dogs that showed up after mine were all done and dry. Poor service and worst experience, do not take your dog there since they dont make yours a priority.

It has been my worst experience in 2 years that I have been bathing my dog in your store, honestly the new salon staff is what they think I paid $156 for a cut that even shorted near my dogs tear duct, I asked for a cut 7 and they gave me the one they wanted because it was the last one, they simply didnt consult me, too disappointed and upset by the terrible service provided...

If you really dont care about customer service on the salesfloor, then by all means. Make sure you know the layout of the store to ensure you dont have to ask anyone on the salesfloor anything. Checkout is always good because they have to engage u to take your money. This trip was not amazing at all. Thank goodness for Amazon!! I can get the same service online. Thumbs down Riverton!

I adopted today a new pet for the family, and I found at PetSmart a lot of things useful for my little dog! Quality, good prices and excelente attention.

I would recommend Petsmart for grooming...especially if you have larger dogs. A lot of places dont take larger dogs, and mine are both over 100 lbs. They brushed their teeth and trimmed their nails and did a wonderful job making my dogs feel pampered, they both came home smelling wonderful!!!

Thank you so much to Aspen this morning! My mom and I drove an hour because they were the only ones online that said they had the tank we needed for a temporary enclosure for my injured hamster. When we got there unfortunately we didnt see any and she went to look in the back and at first didnt see anything. After looking at other stores and looking in the back again she miraculously found one and dug out of of a pallet! I appreciate her help so much

Well laid out. I loved the animal meet and greet room it made it easier to get to know the dog we where looking at and ask lots of questions. We did eventually adopt her.

Friendly staff that helped me find some good prebiotic for our 3 dogs. Well stocked with a good selection of items. I will go back again.

Highly disappointed in this petsmart I came to buy some hermit crabs and to start off they are in a really small cage for how many crabs are in it then I got to crabs and when I came home I figured out that one of them had already died. Petsmart I used to prefer to other pet stores but lately they have been one of my least favorite they dont give there animals the proper care and space that they need

Just started stocking some dry rock for saltwater. Totally surprised me and bought all they had. Just went in for a salt bucket.

Picked up some items for our Boston. Staff was very helpful and kind.

Got myself a hamster and a cage here, the staff was very helpful in retrieving the hamster and doing the check-out and adoption papers was a breeze. Great customer service for sure. I would like to say though we bought the hamster just after Christmas, and he passed away in just late February. The PetSmart warranty is only 14 days, so it was passed that. However, my pet passed way before he should have considering he was always fed and had water at his disposal. Was quite disappointed in that aspect.

Used to be a frequent shopper at this location as a hobbyist fish owner. But will be taking my business elsewhere. Tawna is often sent to work with customers that need assistance and she has been in an awful mood every time I ve been and has been rude to me, my girlfriend, and even our 5-year old who is super inquisitive. Asking innocent questions as any cute child does, she acts super bothered. Honestly cut my purchase short because my family doesn t deserve that. Other shops love answering questions about pets. Sorry we annoyed you with our business.

A little smaller compared to the Jordan Landing PetSmart but I loved observing their fish selection. The reptile habitats had colorful wallpaper and looked very clean. I also liked the color scheme of the cat adoptions room.

They have a great selection of puppy products and very attentive staff.

I love this Petsmart. The staff is always so helpful both on the phone & when I am shopping in store. I own a dog training business & shop here often. The store is clean, well stocked & organized. I recently had to make a special request right as the store was closing & I worked with Isaac, he was so accommodating & didnt rush me despite the last minute request. Thanks Isaac & staff! Couldn t figure out how to leave a review on the app This review is for GROOMING. It was my first time and I was really disappointed in the end result. I have a dog with lots of long fur and I could just see how choppy a job they did especially with his leg and paw fur. I had to touch it up at home because it looked pretty ragged I also asked them to buzz off some matts under his armpit area and they were still there when I picked him up. He s clean and the staff seems nice enough but he did not come home looking pristine like from other groomers. I guess you get what you pay for

O.M.G - Rena the pet stylist did such an amazing job with my little fur baby!! She was soooo nice and talked me about how to maintain my baby girls fur properly.

I dont care for their return policy. Furthermore, theres a serious lack of training on their return policies because every person Ive ever dealt with had a different way to do it.

Good place to buy your lovable pets right from fish, birds, snake, dog, cat, hamster, ginnipig and all accessories, food for your pets. Also you can move around to learn about each of your lovely pets. Overall I had good experience visiting this store.

Clean store but lousy customer service. Needed some help at the cat area and asked a question to an employee and she pretty much blew me off and just pointed to an isle. She didn t even take the time to listen to my questions. Told her I needed some more help and she just walked away. Rude. I ll go to another store. Never go back there.

We enjoy trying new goodies for our pets here. From fun toys to new treats, and even done the pup training class. The staff is kind, patient, and thoughtful about their recommendations.

Rena is the best!

I had an appointment for my rescue dog who had small mats on her butt and they claimed she reacted bad to the clippers. I even offered to get treats to help distract which they seemed okay with / than no. It just seemed like they wanted nothing to do with her and weren t even willing to put in effort to see her or anything - wanted us out ASAP. They told me to try vet grooming - that s not a thing. I called vets in the area. Thankfully after the appointment Pet Pawler agreed to see her and they worked with her and all went fine! The manager her was great and made an effort to come say hi to her and pet her, but Lexi the grooming staff could try a little harder. Unprofessional. And if this is protocol you should have an obligation to tell people prior to them arranging their whole day and work scheduled around getting a grooming.

We ve adopted two small animals from Petsmart who died weeks after we took them home; overnight with no warning. They were already in poor condition from the way they were being kept at the store, but we figured they d improve now that they had everything they needed. We couldn t find any other cause of death for either of them, and I think it s safe to assume that the awful mills they came from before winding up at the pet store are to blame. Please don t purchase reptiles from pet stores, no matter how convenient it is. Those animals are not healthy, and even if they do survive; pet stores do not deserve your money. I ve had no issues as far as getting supplies and pet food goes, but I draw the line at two animals mysteriously dying, both from the same store.

PetSmart follows the brain dead mask mandate. I will no longer buy pet supplies from you. Walmart (no mask mandate) and Amazon will get my money now. Let people make their own decisions about their own life.

The mask policy is absurd & the manager on duty, Tonna (not too sure on the spelling) had a very unprofessional & rude tone while enforcing the policy. There s no science behind mandating people that are fully vaccinated to wear masks & transmissions of COVID while shopping does not happen; people are contracting it from family/friends while at home or at gatherings. If the employees feel they need protection, they can wear the masks. If I choose to expose myself, that is my prerogative. Our family will be giving another company (Amazon &/or Walmart) our business.

This place and location have such nice employees and I actually enjoy coming here. I come for just a handful of crickets about once a month. And so sometimes Ill also splurge and buy my cats some treats while Im here. They run out of crickets frequently but theyre the only easy access pet store that still sells single crickets. Easily my favorite pet store and they do lots of charity stuff. Theyre very passionate for a chain

Mask mandate is no longer in place in our area. We walked in the door and immediately they chose to be pushy about the mask and then followed us around the store. We chose to go to PetCo instead and had a pleasant experience working with the employees to get the right fish for my daughter. PetSmart loses this $1k purchase as well as all future purchases we will make.

Bought food online that my cats didnt like so I returned it at the store and they were very nice about it.

Went well quick with customer reponse and acctual help in the fish section, filling my huge fish list of demands. I sensed no reluctance with the lead employee of whom provided the excel service and thank you for the prompt service again. Which in most cases at most places lacks and probly leads to repet consumer loss. Your location is like finding a needle in a haystack, and with lack of more knee branding compliments I digress. . . . Thanx

The animals here are really cute! The staff is really good as well.

Most of the time they dont have what I need in stock so I have to make sure Im there on delivery day and theyve ordered what I want. The staff is really nice though, and they have better prices on certain things than other places. They also are one of very few stores that still carry a special litter I have to get for my cat.

Both of my dogs would shake uncontrollably out of fear when we would take them in for a bath. We switched groomers and they enter the new place with excitement...would never subject my dogs to this place ever again and would certainly not recommend anybody have their dogs groomed here.

I had my dog groomed here and I am very happy with the haircut. However. I was charged for nail trimming and my dogs nails were not trimmed. I know this Because they are still very long and sharply pointed. Either clipping or grinding them would take away the sharp point if her nails and make them flat. You can tell when a dog has had a nail trim. I am not happy that I got scammed out if money.

I do like PetSmart in general....the new one in the Mountain View Village is clean and the staff was friendly.

Ive gotta give a shout out to the employees who closed on the night of 11/10/21. I got there right at 9 pm as they were closing. I had to pick up an order of Ark Naturals tooth brush treats. My dogs will NOT go to sleep without them. They got my order for me even though they were technically closed. Thank you so much!

I picked up my dog from the appointment today and was told everything went well. I always put down a towel in my car when I pick her up since sometimes she s still damp after the bath. When I got home I noticed there was blood on the towel. At this point I m super upset and trying to figure out where it s coming from. Turns out it s dripping from her dewclaw which has been cut way too far. After wrapping her paw in a bandage to stop the bleeding my husband called the groomer and told them what had happened and asked why nothing was said about this when I picked her up. They actually tried telling us that she probably chipped it in the asphalt after we left the store. The dewclaw doesn t even touch the ground when a dog walks so that made no sense. Then they said that cutting the nails isn t an exact science and that they may have cut too far. My husband was very calm during the call but we just couldn t believe the excuses they were trying to use. The worst part of it all is that there is no way they didn t realize this had happened. If you ve ever accidentally cut a dogs nails a little too far then you know how they yelp in pain, it s horrible. This was more than just a little too far, it was actually bleeding. I understand that people make mistakes. What upset me the most was that they tried to hide it and not say anything. They didn t even bandage her paw. Needless to say, we ll be taking her to a more professional and considerate groomer from now on.

Got puppy groomed here, and they handled it perfectly! Took my notes, showed me a length chart, and assured me they would help with a few mats. Puppy came out looking PERFECT!

This pet smart location clearly does not know how to care for their cats. As a owner of two cats, I have multiple concerns. To start off with, the cats are filthy and aren t given the proper hygiene. One of the cats had crusties all over its eyes, and another had filthy paws and unclean fur. Not to mention their cages aren t very clean. Another one of my concerns for the cats is their health. Some of the cats didn t look very healthy. Some of the cats are extremely skinny and don t seem to be receiving the proper nutrients they need. They seem to be suffering mentally and physically. Another one of my issues is their lack of space and ability to get exercise. The cats seem to be kept in their small cages without being let out to get fresh air or stretch their legs. This is especially concerning to me, because in some of the cages their are multiple cats without enough space to be satisfied. To conclude, this pet smart location is not a good place for these cats to live. If I could, I would rescue all of them and bring them into better homes. I understand that pet smart rescues the cats from the streets and animal shelters, but maybe the treatment is worse at pet smart. I am just asking for this message to reach people, who want to make a change and give these cute little cats good homes.

Betta fish looked like they were struggling. Staff was helpful though

Had my crickets for my fish w no issues.

They were really good. We had a complication and they understood and were able to keep our dog for a little longer after his grooming appointment.

The staff is always helpful and nice. The store is always clean when we visit. My dogs love PetSmart.

Different layout then other stores I have been seriously n and seemed the tried to stuff more in less space. Good quality otherwise.

The employees there today seemed to not care at all. Only one of the three I saw actually took the time to talk to me and Mt girls about a few different animals and their care. While the other two employees just brushed us off or had a bad aditud

helps you find the food during the covid shortage. they seem to be skimping on the care for the pets in the stores though

I m so upset, I may never go to Petsmart again. Whoever scheduled my grooming appointment told me 1:00pm, but it was actually at 12:30pm, so they couldn t groom my dogs. Why would someone do that?

First I would like to apologize to this store for giving them someone elses review that wasnt a good review. I have fixed it and Im sorry. Now, I go into this store often and buy my supplies for my fish tanks and other pet supplies and usually I get great service, however, the last time I visited the hotel at the register was very short and quite rude when I had to pay some of my bill in change because I bought more than I had anticipated leaving me a little short on cash. I will visit this store again due to the fact that usually its an awesome experience. At least they didnt steer me wrong in pets. Thanks!

very nice employees. knowledgeable about the products for the most part was told a filter would work for my fish tank and it didnt fit. I had even told the lady which ones I needed.... very frustrating

This Petsmart has the cleanest and best kept fish tanks of any pet store. They always look great and the fish are always healthy looking. I have been to many many other stores and tanks always look dirty like they havent been cleaned in months and there are dead or sick fish everywhere. Even other most other Petsmarts. But this one is great. You can tell they clean regularly and that in turn keeps the fish happy and healthy. I always have great success with fish that Ive bought from here.

Clean, friendly, and stocked with what i needed.

We always shop at this pet smart and it s always got our dog food in stock. Plenty of treats a d toys to choose from as well. I know they have classes but have not even used them and they also have a pet hotel I believe. It s all around my go to pet store around here for my for sure!
