I took my 20 year old cat in for a quality of life exam, she has gone here since she was a kitten. I thought she would be put down due to her age, pain from arthritis, stopped grooming herself, was sad, etc. They did bloodwork and everything was normal so they couldn t euthanize. She continued like this for a while and eventually I took her back in. They refused again because her bloodwork was still normal . She also had an abscess on her bottom that they didn t even notice until I pointed it out. They kept her all day, drained it and sent us with medicine and fluids. We ended up taking her to the humane society to be put down not long after. This clinic cost me a lot of money and heartache. I wish they would have listened to what I wanted, instead they made her suffer. Owners know their pets the best.

Dr Kim Ingraham: The best! We have followed her from another clinic to this one we have been with her since 1998. She has treated our girls with heart issues, dog attack etc. Always has been caring and loving to our girls and us.

From taking care of our kids for regular exams and healing them along the way to helping us be able to gently send them on their way when they need to leave us, Riverton Veterinary Clinic has been the best.

If I could give this clinic a 10+ stars I would. I had a really sick dog that we have had for a long time and I knew the outcome was not going to be good and that we would have to part with him. I did a lot of research of where to take him for this process and received outrageous quotes from several clinic to where they were trying to force me to pay an outrageous amount just to put my pup at peace. I was directed to this location and I am the type of person that I believe things happen for a reason. I was guided here and for a special reason. The moment that I met the staff it was so peaceful and with such caring demeanor of all the staff. They explain every process that was going to happen, they were patience with us allowing us all the time in the world to spend with our love puppy to say goodbye. Dr. Albergo, (I hope I spelled her name correctly), was absolutely amazing. She explained her possible diagnosis and reassured us that we were making the right but hard decision. She not only praised me for doing so and not allowing him to suffer, but supported me and understanding that this was extremely hard decision. She hugged and loved on me, they treated Nemo as if they knew him for years. They gave him tender loving care throughout the entire process. Last but not least, the price of the procedure was amazing and I felt they were not over priced at all and that the money is not what matters but the love we had for Nemo. They packed him carefully up in a box so that we could take him home and lay him to rest with such love. Then a week later I received a hand written card from the Dr. and staff letting us know they were still thinking about us and giving us their sympathy. OUTSTANDING! THIS WILL BE MY CLINIC FROM HERE ON OUT!!! I LOVE YOU GUYS!! THANK YOU FOR BEING AMAZING!

Outstanding Care for our two dogs. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They go above and beyond.

It makes me so sad to write this review. From the time I can remember, my family was taking our pets to Riverton Vet, even before moving into the current building. When I became an adult and had pets of my own we always could count on Riverton vet and Dr Besendorfer. I m 2019 when he sold the practice everything went downhill. It all feels so corporatized now. I looked passed that and continued to take my dogs there. My German Shepherd was diagnosed with pannus and needs daily eye drops. They were charging me $78/ bottle. Under their sticker on the bottle was a sticker for Med4Vets written to the veterinarian. Then urgent needs came up and Riverton couldn t get us in so we went elsewhere. After dealing with o ur other emergency we asked the new vet to look at our German Shepherd. She agreed with the diagnosis and prescribed the same eye drops. She had us pick them up directly from Meds4Vets and I was only charged $44. This means they were making $34 extra off of me. And the receptionist helping at the pharmacy said that since Riverton Vet is a veterinary clinic they get a discount. So who knows how much of a profit they are taking in. That makes me absolutely sick and has 100% confirmed that this place has hit rock bottom. I will never refer a single soul to this money hungry corporation. Please go somewhere with more compassion and less concern about huge profits off of your sick pets.

I ve been taking my cats here since 2020 and now have all my family and some coworkers going here too. I primarily see Dr. Albergo and Dr. Ingraham and love them both! They ve been there with us through a lot. When it was time to say goodbye to our eldest in 2021, in dealing with my neurotic youngest, and in all the ups and downs of my diabetic middle child the last 4 years. They understand his case and work collaboratively within their own practice to treat him, as well as with specialists at MedVet, Blue Pearl, and AVC to best manage his very complicated case. They demonstrate care for me and do their best to help me manage the costs of his care. They communicate well with me and the specialists across the valley who also support his case. I love Riverton Veterinary and am deeply grateful for them and the care they give my whole family, furry and non-furry!

Vet hit my dog while touching and probing his cancerous lesion. The fish tank was algae infested and looked like it was poorly taken care of. Never again will a pet of mine will go there again.

I love it care they actually make you feel like youre a part of the family and that they will do anything to help you through good and bad and they make you feel very comfortable

I love Rivertons vet, and more importantly, so do my dogs! They are very friendly, and I have to say my largest dog is terrified of fireworks, and they fit me right in for a checkup,and I was able to come home with some meds to keep her calm.

Dr. Kim, T and the rest of the staff were great. They all are very compassionate and took great care of my Great Dane Myka. I highly recommend them and will definitely continue to have them care for my girl. Thank you so much staff, Gina, Marni and Myka

They used to be really good, but lately, its been really hard to get someone to pick up the phone. When I visit in person, the front desk staff always seems to have an attitude. Its disappointing to see the decline in their service.

We have taken all 3 of our pups to Riverton Vet and every time they have been amazing! They are upfront about costs and offer options. They aren t pushy whatsoever. This last week they assisted with putting one of our elderly dogs down and were so kind and compassionate with the process. We even received a sweet card in the mail expressing condolences. These little gestures show how much they care about their customers and their pets.

They love my animals as much as I do!!! They went above and beyond when my little guy was in distress. Ive used their services off and on for 25 years plus. All vet clinics need to turn a profit or they cant stay in business. However, Riverton Vet has shown me time and time again that their love and compassion far surpasses any monetary gain. I am new client to this facility but followed my vet here from our old clinic. Dr. Maloof, the techs and the rest of the staff are a cut above. I m about as crazy of a dog person as you can come across and my 3 dogs are everything to me. My old clinic was only 10 minutes from my house but I m now driving 45 minutes just to get the proper care I feel my pups need. I m confident that my pups are getting the very best care at Riverton vet clinic and have already been recommending them to friends and family. If your tired of getting raked over the coals and your not even sure what the vet did to your animal than bail and go to riverton vet clinic asap. They are kind, fair and always take the time to break things down and chat with you. I ll be a client for life

Dr. Krysinski did an amazing job providing us a lot of reassurance in a realistic perspective for our senior pet who had kidney disease, heart disease, and lack of mobility of his hind legs. When we first moved here, he had an allergic reaction to the environment and we were able to resolve that quickly and Im so glad they recommended a senior pet panel even though I had one from my old vet a few months ago because they caught his early kidney disease. He recently passed away recently from kidney disease, but we are forever grateful for this vet clinic because we were able to get an extra year with him. They are very responsive and reliable, as I remember a front desk named Rachel helped me get his medical records from another vet clinic when my senior was sick. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone who is a pet owner in the area.

Ive unfortunately only had 2 experiences here and both were end of life care for my cat and dog. The vets and techs there were very kind and understanding. The only negative was I couldnt get an out thebdoor price on the service over the phone because I didnt want a package and opted to take my animals home afterwards with me BUT they were able to get me in very quickly and again, they were very kind, They spoke kindly of my animals during the process and reassured me I was making the best choice for them. I hopefully wont have to go back for a while but when I have vet needs for my fur babies, I know who I will always call.

I have used Riverton Vet off and on for many years. They typically are a bit more costly so I dont use them as often for routine things. However, after several agonizing weeks, I decided it was time to make the appointment to put down my 15 1/2 year old dachshund. I have used them once before and thought they did a good job so I wanted to use them again. When I tried to make the appointment, they told me that I would first have to do a wellness appointment to confirm that this wasnt a convenience euthanasia and that if the doctor determined anything that could improve his quality of life we would need to try that before they would agree to the euthanasia. I was appaled, and incredibly offended. I have had this dog since a pup, their records show that, and to suggest Id put him down for my own convenience is horrible. This struck me as a money grab, and punishment for using other vet offices, and to take advantage of an already emotionally charged situation, and as a result, would put my dog through, likely weeks, of unnecessary stress before reaching the same conclusion I have. They even denied my request to have his vet records sent over instead. I could understand this if he was a young dog, but sadly, he is not. Thankfully, we have found a more compassionate vet office. I can only hope Riverton Vet can take a hard look at their policies for others in similar situations.

When I first moved to UT I initially took my cat to Riverton Veterinarian Clinic as it was close to home. It was a nightmare. On my first visit the veterinarian wasnt even familiar with the very common medication that my cat was prescribed by our previous vet in TX. They said that they had never heard of the medication. (Even I had heard of it prior to my cat taking it because humans can also take it.) Instead, they were recommending a medication that my previous vet told me was found to be dangerous for cats hence the reason for the current medication my cat was on. They were obviously not up-to-date with the current medical care for cats. Also, they were unable to do a basic lion cut on my Persian. Poor kitty had a very bad haircut for months until it grew out! On my first visit there was dog poop on the floor immediately when I entered right by the front desk. They werent rushing to clean it up despite the fact that they werent busy & I was the only customer there in the waiting room. I quickly found Lone Peak Veterinary Hospital in Draper & I havent looked back since!

We are from Southern Utah and I couldn t have been more pleased with our experience! Our sweet boy had to have Knee surgery, needless to say we were a nervous wreck but everyone in this office was so nice and communicative and took amazing care of our dog

They cannot even give an estimate of a possible price for removing a small thorn in a paw. I am disgusted with this clinic. They want you to come in and pay 60 dollars just to get an estimate and they keep recommending to put a dog under for a tiny quick thorn removal. No customer service at all. We have been to vets in other states that are extremely easy to work with and straightforward and this clinic just wants your money. They dont care about the customer or their dog.

Veterinarians have been a challenge for me. They have pulled all my dogs teeth when we asked them not to. They have charged me $200 more than they quoted without any approval from me. They have refused to treat my dog using my diagnostic help. That all changed when we found Dr. K. (Dr. Erin Krysinski). We found her when we had an emergency brocken paw. She has restored my faith in Veterinarians. Plain and simple she treated both my dog and I with the true care I feel a professional Veterinarian should. We even followed her here to Riverton Veterinary Hospital because of how she has taken care of us. For whatever reason she has chosen to practice here I choose to bring my dog to be treated here. The staff here has treated us well and so I can say these words; I RECOMMEND this hospital for your veterinary needs!

They got us in super quick and took care of my dogs injured paw. Provided pain meds, antibiotics, dental care recommendations, and got her up to date on her shots. THANK YOU SO MUCH we will for sure be back for preventative care :)

Really the best. I started using this vet 2 years ago and 1 year ago swapped vets to be closer to my home. But really nothing compares to the care my animals and I receive at this veterinary hospital. I will not be swapping vets again. Not to mention this establishment is way cleaner than other vets I have used too. I specifically have really loved working with Dr. Kim Ingraham. I have had a more unique issue with my cat and she s really taken the time to research and help me. I can t say enough nice things about them. 10/10 recommend! Thanks for everything Kim!

The entire staff is so kind and patient. A few months back I could not find my cat to bring him in for his appointment. They were so understanding and helped me reschedule. I took him in today for a super swollen eye. They removed a foxtail and were very gentle and kind. They explained everything to me including the cost breakdown. And they sent me home with detailed aftercare instructions.

Thank you Dr. Shaw! My Frenchie Frankie had a very stubborn UTI and she gave her another chance with a different antibiotic for a longer period of time. After dealing with a very stinky French bulldog for 20 days (causes gas lol) it worked! Everyone here has been amazing!!

I cannot say enough about how amazing this team is. We have taken all of our animals here and love the staff and doctors. Last week we had to make the difficult decision to put one of our animals down. After struggling with the loss all weekend, we received a hand written note from Dr. Albergo. It meant the absolute world to us. I would like to especially thank Missy and Dr. Albergo for being so absolutely wonderful during our difficult time.

One of the best Veterinary Hospitals Ive ever been too. The front desk and all of the staff are always super friendly and helpful when we take our puppy in. Every time I call to get an appointment they can almost always get me in within a day or two. Even when the clinic is packed full of people, weve never felt rushed, they still take the time to go over our questions and concerns, I especially love how transparent they are with their pricing and printing out a list to see exactly what it is youre paying for. We will continue to bring our puppy here while we live here.

Ive been bringing my pup here for a year now. I have never been so pleased with a vet clinic before. I feel that theyre cautious and genuinely care. The staff is very responsive. I never have to wait long to be called into the room. My Pup has seen 2 vets there and I trust them both. My pup actually enjoys going there.

This place is a mess! We transitioned our pets here and, after taking each dog once, we are quickly looking for a new vet. I scheduled an appointment for an office visit and check-up. They took my dog back without me going and then the vet visited with me in the lobby. It was so busy and loud with barking dogs that I could barely hear the vet. There was no real health assessment given aside from he needs a teeth cleaning and blood work. After the blood work results came in, my dog was prescribed meds that I had to go back in to get. When I arrived, there were 5 team members siting behind the desk chatting. One of them looked at me and said well be with you in a couple minutes Mind you, I was the only one in there and 3 of the 5 were sitting in a circle talking. The meds I picked up ended up being the wrong dosage. It wasnt until my dog ran out before he was supposed to that I realized there was an issue. I called 4 times to get clarification and it wasnt until 3 days later that anybody called me back. 3 WORK DAYS. Today, we had an appointment for our other dog that required him to be on chill protocol. This means he starts meds the night before his appointment. We loaded our newborn into the car and drove 40 mins to the office only to find out that they didnt actually have our appointment on their schedule. Now, weve been waiting 20 minutes in the car with a 2 month old and a drugged up dog to see if they can squeeze us in. Needless to say, we will not be visiting this office again. We heard great things from employees we met at an event last year and really liked both of the vets we saw but we cannot deal with an office as disorganized as this.

I have been taking my dog here since he was 4 months old. I brought him in to get him neutered recently and I was pretty anxious about him going under. The tech was so nice and knew I was anxious so she sent me updates on when he went under and when he woke up, etc. everything went so smooth and he recovered so fast. Would definitely recommend!

This is a terrific clinic. The staff is informed and love their work. All the veterinarians are exceptional. Most of my pets and rescue animals have been seen or treated by Dr. Ingraham, who I recommend highly, along with the rest of the staff.

Took my mom over to have her cat looked at. Very nice staff and the doctors were very patient and answered all my moms questions (she had a lot). I always like when everyone likes their job and it shows.

They are kind, patient, and sweet to all animals. I have brought my male cat, a male stray that has respiratory issues, my pitbull puppy and will be bringing my senior dog soon. They are great at explaining things and listening to us.

Really great with our pets

After becoming acutely ill and coming in for evaluation, my dog was prescribed antibiotics. I took the medication home and looked at the bottle and began to question the dose prescribed for my approximately 14 pound shih tzu. A quick review of the practice guidelines and a dosage calculation showed that my dog was prescribed 3x the amount she should have been. I called to verbalize my serious concern. I left a message only to be called back by a non-clinical staff member who did confirm the dosage prescribed as being incorrect. As a healthcare provider myself, IF I ever made the unfortunate mistake of misprespcribing a patients medication, I would be calling the patient myself to explain and discuss the matter.. not have one of the front end staff do it. And then you guys dont even subsequently call to follow up thereafter to see how she is doing, KNOWING you guys made a serious med error? Not impressed at all. I see another review that specifically discusses incorrect dosages being prescribed. Med errors are serious. You guys need to do continuing education. I waited a long time to write this review, in hopes someone would follow up with me, but since that didnt happen - heres a review you guys have absolutely earned.

We take all five of our dogs here and absolutely love it! They always call us back the same day with any concerns. We knew the previous owners and its been a smooth adjustment to the new management. Couldnt be more happy with the care of our fur babies.

The staff here are excellent not just in how they treat me, but in how they treat the animals. They truly care and put in the effort to show your pet the respect and love they deserve when in a stressful environment. My cats leave here much less stressed than any other vet Ive ever been to. I personally travel out of my way to take them here where I know they will be treated well and taken care of by vets, vet techs, and front staff who are intelligent and kind.

This vet overcharges more than any vet I ve ever taken my dogs to & they don t even fix the problem. After them scheduling multiple follow ups & overcharging us a bunch. Our dog STILL has an ear infection. So we will be taking him somewhere else after wasting a bunch of money here. Should have read previous reviews of this being a problem at this clinic.

Uncompassionate and incompetent. Vet was cold and uncaring, refused to listen, and shamed me when I said I could no longer take care of my diabetic cat. Vet tech forgot to label my cats blood draw specimen and I had to turn around and take him back the same day to get poked again.

They are awesome. I have had multiple concerns with my dog, where I have called in they always listen and advise without pressuring for a visit. When were in office, they are all friendly and efficient.

I have a 17 year old dog who i m very protective over, especially recently. he was given a haircut and when we went to pick him up they didn t say anything and let us leave, at home i noticed his ear had a cut in it, far enough to almost take off the tip of his ear. i know it wasn t there before & its so disrespectful to cut my dogs ear & say nothing. even if it was already there you should still say something about it to make sure we don t think it s you. in the picture you can see it a bit on the left ear.

I called them at noon. Explained my 4 month lab was throwing up and had been since 4am and very lethargic and what could I do? She said she would talk to the doctor and call me back. I called back at 3:30 and was told they could recommend an emergency pet hospital to go to. Should of recommend a new vet. Will not be back!

If you care about your animal at all, look elsewhere. Very rude staff, lack of compassion for animals and people. There are so many other options out there, I would not trust these people to treat my animal.

Dr. Ingraham has been diligent in treating our pups condition, often calling after a long day to check on him, give lab results or offer yet another solution. We appreciate her loving care of our Roo!

**6 month update**- After having been a patient here for 6-7 months and having visited 4 times and called a handful, I am a bit less convinced. My pup has had eye infections, ear infections, dermatitis, etc. and I believe they are all interconnected as a part of a bigger issue. I consistently have tried to ask for help on that from the vets each time I go, but I m always told I m sure it s just this , given a prescription, and pushed out the door. But her issues keep re-occurring. It s been frustrating to have to continually come back and spend more money when I d rather just address the root of the issue. It seems the vets I ve worked with are either too busy to care or don t see it as an issue like I do. So, personally, I m considering finding a new vet practice that will look at my dog holistically instead of piece meal. ** I have nothing but good things to say about this vet. After having been to another vet that took away my choice in what treatments would be given to my new puppy and not giving clear direction on what was done, I was really fed up. I called Riverton Veterinary Hospital purely for advice and answers to my questions - they answered everything politely and in great detail. I felt so respected as a pet owner and grateful for their time that I decided to switch to them. They are super kind and efficient as well as understanding and inviting. I love the vet there - she s loving and kind and cares about animals. Honestly I love everyone that works there. It s not fancy new or high tech, but I feel taken care of and that s all that matters to me. I would highly recommend them!

Have been taking my dogs and cat here for over a decade. They took excellent care of my senior dog when it was time for him to pass on and let us be there with him, gave us time to grieve after hed passed, and helped us arrange cremation. They even sent a sweet card with his paw prints and a small bunch of his fur, which I still have four years later.

I am so impressed with this vet office. Everyone in the office was very friendly and helpful. Dr. Schuster and Kendra were very kind and patient and answered all my questions. They also explained the vaccinations and any reactions to expect and what to watch for. Dr. S even helped me choose some better food and treat options for Sophie. Kendra opened the blinds so Sophie could bird watch while we discussed her. Halfway through the visit Sophie was purring and no longer seemed afraid.

Expensive and wonderful service. Over $600 for teeth cleaning and 3 teeth extracted. I checked around and they are about 10% high. Loved the personable staff

They have been great getting us in. There have been times I have questions if I should go in or not and have emailed them pictures. They were able to assist me.

OK. I like the people at this VET. However, they need to look at their fee schedule. They are almost 3x as much for spay and gastropexy as anyone in the valley. I am willing to oay a bit more for exceptional service and circumstances but 3x is ridiculous. Luckily there are other Vets right here in Riverton whose prices and fee schedules are inline with the valley and what one could exoect to pay.

One of the only places taking new clients when I needed it. They are so communicative and helpful with appt confirmation, questions, ordering medicines, cancelling. They make the process so simple and easy!

This clinic helped us with end of life care for our pup. Their bedside manor was amazing. They were so sensitive and kind. You can tell they genuinely love animals. We had a horrible time saying goodbye but they softened the blow and didn t even charge us for some of the things they did for her. Thank you Dr. Shaw for your care for our sweet Stella.

We havent even officially joined their practice yet (annual check up in January) but my youngest kitty got a nasty ear infection. They couldnt get him on for 2 weeks but out him on a cancelation list and actually got him in within 8 days. They got his ears cleaned up, gave him meds, and we have a follow up in a few weeks. They were so kind, efficient, cost-considerate, and already our little boy is feeling much better! Would 100% recommend them and look forward to continuing to work with them for all of our pets!

I am so disappointed in Riverton Vet since the new owners took over. I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years but when my dog fell ill I was told they couldnt see me because they were closing soon it was 4 oclock and they were too busy. They dont care about you or your pet.

My vist occurred in Dec 2020.I had to have my dog put sleep because she was 14 and in so much pain. The staff here was amazing! They let my whole family(10) be there to say good bye. My Rosta dog was surrounded by her favorite humans when she crossed the rainbow bridge. I was so happy that they allowed us all to be there due to COVID-19 I didnt think that was going to happen. I wanted to put in a good word for Riverton Veterinary after my visit today, the concerns I had about my little dog was thoroughly answered and I feel very grateful. I have had dogs and cats that has been with these people for over 20 years, way back when they were on Redwood Road. I went to an emergency vet in Salt Lake City as the Riverton Vet was unable to see my baby and I have to say that I am spoiled by the Riverton Vet. Not that the Emergency vet was not good but I can say after calling around the different places in the valley to get my dog seen, the Riverton Vet does take extra care, the staff is very friendly and really cares about the well being of my pets, especially in these lockdown times where social distancing is a necessity. The prices are very reasonable compare to the other vets. Thank you so much Riverton Veterinary doctors and staff for always doing that little extra for our fur babies and the parents.

Ive been bringing my cat here for 3 years, and Ive brought my previous cats here. The receptionists are always amazing and supportive and the doctors are also super nice and kind and good with explaining everything and reassuring any fears or things you may have. I know animals can be on the same level as kids, and for me thats how it is my cats are my kids. Im super grateful for this event office for how professional kind and supportive they are Ive never gone in and had a bad experience. And Ive never gone in and walked away feeling like all my questions werent answered, and that my kids were in great hands.

We struggled with making the decision to euthanize our sweet dog Bauer. Dr Albergo was so patient, kind and understanding. She spent time talking to us and helped us navigate this difficult time. Great place! We take our pets to Dr. Shaw and Dr. Albergo primarily, but we have also taken them to Dr. Ingraham as well. We actually followed the doctors to Riverton when they left their last location despite the extra drive. All three are fantastic and the same goes for their technicians and receptionists- they take wonderful care of these animals. Dr. Albergo has helped manage our family dogs immune disease (IMTP) and Dr. Shaw helped manage the family cats Diabetes and was very compassionate when it came time to euthanize her. The same goes for her technician Christina.

I really like this vet. My whole extended family takes their animals here. I took my dog in for his puppy vaccinations and was pleased by the options they gave me. This will be my go to vet from now on

The facility/company are great - affordable, thorough, caring, and does a better job of scheduling than its 4-5 star peers in south SL county or north Utah county. Dr. Ingraham is an incredibly high quality veterinarian. She is very competent, wants your pet to be at its healthiest, doesnt get tunnel vision when exploring treatment options, is very thorough and patient with you the owner, willing to ask a lot of questions and answer any and all of your questions, and goes the extra mile to find the best medications at the most affordable price. I have nothing but great things to say about her.

Riverton Veterinarian Hospital is amazing and outstanding with your pets... Unfortunately ours passed away due to old age, and we miss our pup dearly. We were referred to Riverton Veterinarian Hospital from a friend and we wont look back. We had our baby cremated and the process was top notch and we know that she was taken care of on the highest regards. I know that my post is definitely a sad one, however I want people to know that their kindness and willingness to help someone who has never visited their hospital was a million stars, not just 5... So if one of your animals needs help or in our situation, they will truly handle your fur babies with care and then some. 4 months ago, they Distributed wrong medicine for my dog. They get 2 stars for damage control. Recently, they gave my dog an allergy shot which landed us in the ER. The response from this hospital was to bring the dog in in 2 weeks for tests. The same tests by the way that led them to distribute the wrong medicine mentioned above. I wish I had the service that the other reviews received. I continue with my search for a competent vet that cares about the health of my dog.

Great place, the staff is super friendly and its always a good time going in to see them! For us and for our pets! They always take great care of our German shepherd and our cats. I recently had to made the tough decision to put a family dog down , I called to set up a appointment, the staff was very understanding as our dog was a senior and was not having the quality of life he deserved. When my son and I arrived they were very friendly and brought in a blanket and lots of treats for our dog , the whole process was quick and very professional. We choose to take him home and bury him , they placed him a nice box for us with his name on it . This was a very hard choice for us , and I could not of asked for a better Dr . to help us through this . Thank you !!

Great staff and exceptional candor! Our little dog (Penny) was on a 3 week waiting list to have a painful, bleeding mass removed from her paw at our previous vet. We called Riverton Vet Clinic and they got her in, and operated on, in three days and with at least a 30% reduced cost. Aftercare support is superb as well. Dr. Shaw was totally honest describing the condition of my pet and the fact that she was terminal instead of trying to make me spend worthless hundreds or thousands of dollars like ive seen other vets . 2 weeks after the diagnosis We came to put our beloved pet to sleep and the thecnitian and Dr that day and hour were wonderfull, patience and kind. One clerk came in the room interrupting our last minutes saying good bye to our beloved pet. We were sobbing and heart broken and she was trying to get me sign the euthanasia doc.and later to pay right there on the spot the authanasia fee, to which I responded her to please give us privacy as were were having a very emotional moment and that would take care of all of that after we were done saying our good byes and composed our selves etc. Im sure everyone ment well and trying to do their job, but business got in the way. I think is best to sign docs and pay up front.

Amazing staff. Just recently changed to this Vet due to it being closer to where I live. Normally my dog struggles alot at the vet and freaks out. They did an amazing job and my dog never freaked out at all. Most definitely recommend.

They addressed all my concerns, treated my pup like she was their baby and made us feel comfortable. I was so impressed! Im so glad I was able to get into this veterinary office.

My dog sadie was on her last leg. Cancer had spread so far into her throat she couldnt eat. Along with all the other wonderful things that happen when youre that sick. The vet and her staff that we dealt with where very kind, and stood by as we let her go with some dignity left. Idk how this staff does it, it looked to have impacted them the same we it did my family. Ill never be going anywhere else, and I cant recommend them enough

I had very poor experience w/the receptionist & booking. Had 1 doctor who diagnosed my cat, gave shot & medication to take home. He did not get well. Was unable to book w/same doctor, saw a new doctor who disagreed w/first diagnosis. She told me what to do, take home script. Paid exorbitant fee first time, was still pretty high. A friend has had ait of problems w/Riverton Vet Clinic also, & also unstable pricing for repeat services. We are both seeking a more reliable veterinary service & will NOT be returning to THIS overpriced, poor services place. I will say however, that Dr. SHAW is the quality professional in this place. She is the reason I gave 2 stars, not 0.

Okay first off... quality orlf care, top notch. But I do miss all the red heads that once were. I do feel the family love and care of the building isnt what it used to be. But its not really a problem at all. I got more info here, than I did at the specialist / E.R. great job

They have educated us and helped us lovingly care for our dogs as they got older, and compassionately assisted us in letting them go when it became necessary. Scheduled an appointment for my cat for an abscess and a hurt toe. Wait time for my appointment was only 2 days. While there I also got her vaccinations. Veterinarian and staff were great. They treated my cat, shaved around her abscess, cleaned it up, gave her vaccinations and an antibiotic shot, and even went out of their way to avoid using tranquilizer even though she was definitely not cooperative. Best of all, prices were much lower than I expected based on past experiences with other vets.

The vet and staff are truly one of a kind. They treated Lexi and myself like we were family. They deserve more than 5 stars

My dog is timid with males and with COVID not allowing us to walk in with him I was super nervous. The staff is amazing and very understanding. My pup wouldnt get out of the car when we first got there but the girls came out and comforted him until he would go willingly. They were very patient and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

We have been going here for a while but unfortunately they just had a management and possibly ownership change. Many of their own employees including our favorite front desk lady and our vet left. We tried to give them a shot even though our vet no longer works for them but they ve been nothing but unintelligent, unprofessional, and rude. We ve taken our business to Copperview Animal Hospital where they seem to actually care about their patients and customers.

My sweet kitty was sick suddenly and I couldn t find a vet clinic that had any appointments available. I called these guys and they got me in right away. They made an opening for me even though they were fully booked. The staff was so friendly and made me and my kitty feel safe. They communicated very well what was going on with him and keep me updated every step of the way. Definitely would recommend to everybody! I found my new permanent vet clinic.

Wow. There is so much detail that I could go into. Great staff. They told me a price at check in, and were within their + - that they told me that they would be. They called a week after the appointment to ask how my dog was. Ill even update this. I had to go back. My dog caught Kennel cough from the groomer Im March. It was the first day that they were taking the animals in and having the fur parents wait in the car. Again, great service. Fast forward to August 2020 and my dog had another issue with his paw. Another Foxtail. Again, the staff here is great. I was given a few options on what was done, I went ahead and had them remove the foxtail instead of the other option. Were 6 days out and my dog is as good as new. Fast service. Super friendly techs and Vets. If the need arises, Ill be back again.

I hate leaving this review but this place has gone down hill. They are too busy, cant even get appointments for sick pet. They care more about bringing in new customers than worrying about the ones that have been going here for years.

I have so many great things to say about this place. The staff, tech and doctors are amazing. They take time to answer all of your questions and truly love the animals that come in. We ve moved to two different cities since living in riverton and we always make the drive back because I haven t found another place I like to take my dogs. Great for boarding too!

We boarded our kitty at Riverton Veterinary Hospital. The first night they had him (Wednesday) they overdosed him. He s been diabetic for years but perfectly healthy on his dosage which was 6 units. This place had a simple human error and mistakenly gave him 100 units. They left him alone. When he was found, he was in a terrible state. His brain had basically been fried. His eyes showed severe brain damage, his front legs curled and had no control, he was twitching and having seizures. When they called, the only thing that was said was that he had a little too much insulin if he hadn t eaten enough that could ve happened with his full dose of 6 units. Not 100. We were in AZ where I was on the brink of dying myself but we called on Friday to see how he was and to let them know we were driving back that night. They said he was fine. No mention of how bad he was or what had happened. They left voicemails which were vague and did not portray the horror this clinic inflicted. When we picked him up, he still remembered us but he was not my healthy loving cat. He was a mess. There was old blood and other bodily fluid still dried to his face. His arms were shaved and no IV placed. Their treatment plan was to take him to THEIR house and observe him. Not give him actual treatment in a hospital. We had to meet the vet in their parking lot after hours to get him and take him to our normal vet. The vet we got him from said he was making progress, that his eyes were starting to get closer to normal. My cat was not. As we were leaving, the tech came and asked for the carrier the vet had him in. She said well, we need that carrier back. Let s just move him real quick. No remorse. No compassion. She said it as if he was perfectly healthy and we had the wrong carrier. The vet had said we could take it so we didn t disturb him. I gave it back and held our very damaged baby on the drive over to the Oquirrh Hills office. Their parting words were well we hope he gets better. Not once did they apologize to me for what they did. Not once did they own up to their mistake and how it cost him his life. Instead, we were treated as if he had just gotten a vaccine and was a little under the weather from it. The wonderful staff at VCA Oquirrh Hills Animal Hospital were just as devastated and upset as we were when we got him there. They ve known him since he was a kitten and the staff were completely shocked that this had happened. They got the records and it was a devastating blow. The other office had likely given him the entire bottle of insulin, not the 6 units we had explicitly explained. The compassionate staff at Oquirrh Hills cried right along side us. The amazing and incredible Dr. Mott told us the reality. Tom was very unlikely to recover at this point. Her treatment may have worked if it had been administered on Wednesday. Not Saturday. She told us we could take the weekend to try treatment but it was very unlikely that he would recover. She mentioned letting his suffering end, but would not make the decision for us. I asked her plainly, if it was her pet, would she put him down now? With tears in her eyes, she said yes. She loved this cat. She saw him regularly for the diabetic checks and loved him. I asked her if she thought he was going to ever recover or if it was better to let him go now, not on Monday. She said if it was her, it would be now. Everyone grieves different and if we wanted the time, she d make it happen the best she could. We said goodbye to him in her office, held in our arms. His eyes rolled wrong when she put the sleeping meds before the final shot, which I knew meant the brain damage was too great. I ve had to put down other pets but I ve never seen the vet actually break down and cry along side us. The entire staff at Oquirrh Hills cried with us. The other vet who had seen him as a kitten came in to say his condolences. The techs and receptionists were crying too. He was loved there. He shouldn t have died.

Coming here was a fantastic experience. The workers were very friendly and helpful to me as I had to take a dog I was dog-sitting here, and didnt have a clue about what I was doing. They were very quick to get the dog the help she needed and its clear that everyone here is very passionate and invested in helping animals. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Our dog cut the top of his paw wide open, so we took him to the nearest veterinary office (not Riverton Veterinary Hospital) to see if they could stitch him up. It was in the afternoon shortly before closing, so they said we would have to come back. When they quoted us a price it felt like they were trying to take advantage of us.The laceration was pretty bad and we didn t feel comfortable waiting until the next day so we contacted some friends who we knew had a good experience at another veterinary office. Those friends referred us to Riverton Veterinary Hospital so we took our dog to see what they thought. Even though it was close to closing time, one of the Dr.s offered to stay late to stitch him up, and we felt the price they charged us was extremely fair (less than half of the first place we tried). Having said that, even if they had charged us the same amount we wouldn t have complained because they made us feel like our needs were their primary concern.

Friendly staff and competent doctor. Didnt give 5 starts since the exam room we were in was dirty and not cleaned before we entered. There was dog hair and poop on the seat. The tech apologized and cleaned it with a dry paper towel. All rooms should be sanitized after each use to stop cross contamination, spread of germs, and to promote food health.

The veterinarian didnt listen to our concerns we had for our dogs and was impersonal. He wouldnt look at my wife while he talked and barely looked at her when she spoke. He felt around our dogs stomachs and sent us home with meds. We will never return.

Been going to Riverton Vet for years. Multiple dogs even. Staff is great. They always take great care of our pets. Facility is always clean. Their work is always nice. Will continue for years to come.

Friendly staff here and they take great care of our fur babies. Theyve always explained what theyre doing and the prices associated extremely well. Ive never felt taken advantage of and have been coming here for 3 years and will continue to do so.
