Pro Pet Care in Roy

We took our dog in to get spayed and although the procedure went well, our check out process was off putting to say the least. We waited briefly because it was busy so that wasnt a problem but when it was our turn, my husband had to go back and help get our girl because she was labeled diffcult. We didnt expect our baby to be mean but between this visit and her last vaccine appointment at Petco, she just seemed to be scared and not the biggest fan of doctor offices. I completely understand that the staff has to protect themselves and be weary of any potential dangerous animals, but our girl has never been overly mean or aggressive. I say all this because as we were checking out and being told of the after care instructions, the staff member that was helping us said that wed prefer to never have her back and we dont want her here because she doesnt like us. He asked us if she had prior trauma at a doctor office before and I told him that she was scared at her last vaccine appointment but they handled her fear with so much care and understanding (this was at Petco in Clinton) that I thought this office would have done the same. I honesly thought I misheard him but my husband heard him say it too. His words in my opinion were rude and unprofessional. Im not sure how well they treated her and my thought is it may not have been their best since she also had poop on her face when my husband went to get her from.the kennels in the back. He had to tell the staff member more than once if he had something he could use to wipe her face as she had poop on it and he didnt seem to care or want to help. Several staff members were just blocking the hallway that led from the back to the waiting area so we could leave and didnt even acknowledge that my husband was trying to get through with our girl. Getting surgery for any animal isnt exactly a walk in the park so I thought it would be understandable that our dog would have been a little scared and maybe not in the best of moods. It was just a bit sad to be told we arent welcome even if we wanted to come back for vaccines or whatever else they offer. I guess dont go here if your animal isnt a ray of sunshine because they might not be treated with patience and understanding.

I love that I don t need to make an appointment for shots. The wait has never been too long. They do low cost grooming, spaying and neutering also. It s great to have this in our community! The staff is always kind.

I made appointments to get 3 feral cats fixed my son trapped in Roy because there is a ton of strays they was going to do it for under 400 before my appointment 2 of them got loose i canceled 2 appointments 6 days prior after putting down 110 deposits they said that money would just go towards the price of the 1 male i took in so with the total for male cat they should have refunded me 10 dollars but they give me this crap that the surgery was extensive and so they charged me 79.00 more 89.00 more with the 10 I overpaid because the other 2 got loose and they wonder why people dont get the feral cats in their neighborhoods fixed and released because of businesses like pet pro taking full advantage of people that are trying to make a difference. Shame on them

Propetcare is the absolute BEST!!! I HIGHLY recommend them for Spay/neuter and vaccinations. The staff is super friendly, professional and always eager to help. I LOVE everyone there.

I am so grateful I think maybe as a community these people are helping our pets so we dont have to pay three times as much maybe we could have a garage sale or do whatever so we can help these pets as well as our own.. as you Im looking for something less expensive however we need to donate or do what we need to do so they can continue to give the discounts and the overworked and underappreciated people that they are thank you team at Pro pet care I think everybody should donate just a little bit they are doing this for our pets our family

Ive included a picture of my dog after her surgery. I wrongly thought the incision would be much smaller. Apparently they did it the traditional way. BUT The incision is 5 inches long! And jagged! I dont recommend taking your pets there for anything more than vaccinations.

Slow service. While I had a long wait for Mt order, I noticed a truck in the drive, though, came and went before my order was completed.

Always recommend these guys for shots because theyre so affordable and you dont have to make an appointment to get them! You can walk in. Very friendly staff and they take good care of my boy when he comes in. Going to get him fixed there soon and know hell be safe.

If you love your dog, don t go here! My sister took her 3 dogs and I took my 3 dogs and we both had horrible experiences! Their staff is ornery and rude! The haircuts we got were awful and they made two of mine look so embarrassing! They told my sister her dog was so naughty and tried to bite them. She is not naughty unless you are being mean to her. Horrible place! Horrible staff! Pay a little extra and love your animal and go anywhere else but here! Update! Nope didn t get you mixed up. Sonja cut my dogs and I was waiting to post to see my sisters experience. Never said the staff was mean but the front desk very unfriendly. I asked for short tails and they were shaved to the skin! I did ask to talk to someone and was told no one was there. I sent you an email when I got home as no one answered on the phone. No one ever answered my email either.

I took my baby kitten here to get neutered, first it took about 2 weeks to even get a hold of anyone to confirm the appointment. Ok cool whatever. Then the day of I go pick him up, they explain everything to me and I ask for pain meds for him in case he needed them, I was legit told that cats dont need pain meds. Uhm, what are they exempt from pain? I take him home and he slept for a few hours and woke up shaking terribly bad. I called and asked if this was normal I was told oh hes probably cold. Ok I cover him up and he sleeps till about 10pm. Poor baby woke up extremely sick and shaking even worse, broke my heart. I called a emergency vet and they told me it sounds like hes in pain and ask if I got sent home with pain meds. Nope, cats dont need them remember? Moral of the story is, after paying 130 to this clinic for the surgery I ended up having to pay 175 to get pain meds and a cone. I called and spoke to a manager and she didnt offer to do anything to fix my issue just that she would educate the person I dealt with. No. Thats not good enough for me. I shouldnt of had to pay 175 for something this clinic shouldve given me. Something needs to be done about this. I would give 0 stars if it would let me. To your response - I have contacted a manager and she did nothing for me basically said sorry and thats it. Im still out an extra 165 dollars that I shouldnt of had to spend.

My dogs liked it there

I took my dog in on a Friday to get spayed. Drop off was not to bad, but pick up was much different. I get there and paid for I find out they have had her under the wrong name the entire time, then go back to the kennel area only to find out she is covered in her own poop. She had an accident in the kennel. Then I noticed some bumps on her head and her one eye is kinda droopy and swollen. She has an allergic to penicillin they had given her. My first concern was that no one noticed her head was covered in hives, and then no one noticed she was covered in poop. They gave her some benadryl and had me wait for about 20-25 minutes to make sure that it was doing what it should. In all that time they still did not clean her up very well. Poop was caked in her paws. I got her home and let her rest a little bit more before having to scrub it out of her paws. All of this was done by around 4:30pm. Later that evening around 7:30pm I find that she is getting hives all over her back and legs now. I give her another does of benadryl and let her out to use the restroom. I check her incision and noticed she was bleeding more than she should. I clean it up and it stops bleeding. She did good until Saturday evening around 9pm. I had taken her out to go potty again and she started bleeding VERY badly. I have her in the car and to an emergency vet by 9:15. Her and I both were covered in blood walking into the ER Vet. She had to have ANOTHER surgery to fix what wasnt done the first time. Needless to say I am not impressed with my experience.

Clean, polite, and quick

Hoovers teeth are noticeably cleaner after the dental. No more bad breath either. They were so busy but still took time to explain what they did and the after care. They really seem to care about the pets as well.

Employees clearly care about animals and were very friendly both to myself and my dog. My dog just got adopted and had exams but needed some more rounds of shots. I was thrilled that they did not require yet another exam like other offices told me they would need. They took my past paperwork to verify what had already been done and got us just the one shot we needed. They were quick and didn t mark up the vaccine with other added costs that other offices usually do. This visit was fantastic and I ll be coming here not only for my dog s needs in the future, but I m switching my cat from her current office to here too because I want to support this office!

Exactly what I was looking for. We have an outside cat for catching mice around our chickens. After she had one littler of kittens we needed a cheap quick place to get her fixed. Couldnt be happier with Pro Pet Care. Easy to schedule an appointment online. Drop off is the morning of your appointment, and pickup is the afternoon. Since our cat is just a mouser/outside cat shes never been to the vet, so it was even more convenient that Pro Pet Care gives you the opportunity to get a Rabies Vaccination when you bring in your pet as well. No hassle of needing to get one anywhere else. Cant beat the prices! By far the cheapest in our area. All the people I interacted with were kind, knowledgeable, and friendly.

Gerilyn and staff are totally involved with the health of my animals. I have been coming for their services for years. They are concerned with all activities my animals need. Their services are fully 1/2 off full service vet pricing, but I can depend on the same level of attention and concern from Propet Care. My animals will be back to see them this summer for annual dental cleanings. They are the BEST!

They administered two unnecessary vaccines to my already sick pet. She died two days later. Please do not take your animals here! They are unprofessional and do not know anything about sick animals. They could end up killing your beloved pet.

I brought my 8 year old cat to Pro Pet Care for a dental procedure. Ive had dentals done at full service clinics for a couple of my other cats and the cost ranged from $1100-$1400. I just couldnt afford another really expensive vet trip, so I made his appointment at Pro Pet. It was a fantastic experience! Mango got pre-op blood work, many extractions, a lion cut, and updated rabies vaccine for under $500! I live in Utah County so its quite a drive, but the savings is so worth it. Mango is already feeling great. I highly recommend Pro Pet Care and will definitely be bringing my cats here for dental care in the future. Thank you for providing quality low cost care! Our dear sweet Ace was neutered yesterday. He is 8 months old. We were worried, as a family members dog had a reaction being spayed (at a different location) & we almost lost her. As I dropped him off at Pro Pet Care I expressed my worries & I was in tears with gratitude by the caring staff, to not only comfort Ace, but me as well with my concerns. They even trimmed his nails! What a great staff. They truly love animals & have empathy toward owners concerns. Thank you for being so great!

I took three kittens I have been fostering to Pro Pet Care for their first vaccines. When I arrived as a walk-in, I was helped immediately, I didnt even get a chance to sit down. The staff was friendly and helpful. The techs handled the kittens so gently, I could tell they genuinely care about the animals they treat. The kitties got their vaccinations and didnt even complain. The cost of the service was extremely reasonable, and I was in and out in about 15 minutes. I will certainly return when the kitties are due for their follow-up vaccines.

Couldnt reach by phone, but got ahold of them by chat on the website. They were able to bump the appt to spay our cat for an earlier time than the online scheduler allowed. Best price snd very professional staff!

I had my dog neutered at Pro Pet Care. Initially, it looked like a bad idea, as the place was so busy. But, once my turn in line came, I felt as if I was treated special, with all the care and concern. thats possible. When I picked up my dog, I received extra help choosing a cone or collar and then they even inflated the collar and put it on my dog, so he would not chew at the stitches -- and they even lifted the dog into my car. Yes, this is a very busy place, but their prices are probably the lowest in the Weber-Davis area and they are still vey competent and caring.

Terrible service, they are nice if you have no issues. If you run into issues and call them to address issue, they have attitude and instantly start blaming the customer instead of accepting responsibility. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Im not sure if other reviews are real or not because experience was not what I thought. Also, dont buy their 10 dollar pet boxes. They recommend it if you dont have a second carrier. They do not hold animals 10lbs or over. I advised everyone to stay clear and find another location went because they were cheap and got cheap results. Also, not only do they struggle at picking up their phones, but they also give misinformation on the phone, and when you come in, they claim they cant do whatever they told you originally. To the owner, you are lying through your teeth, I understand youre doing this to protect your business, but originally, you did not say this over the phone. Only after the fact we called back to complain. Im not saying this to be petty btw just trying to protect others and your not a trustworthy owner or business.

I have used Pro Pet Care for the past couple months since we have had a puppy. They started out being amazing for vaccines and grooming, but then they were all over the place. They kept calling me saying the appointments I had scheduled online dont exist and that those days I scheduled it for are surgery days and not grooming days. It has caused a lot of issues and I have had to switch to a different groomer.

We took our great dane, Ace, to get neutered here today. The people were all so nice and cared for him. He is very large and very vocal, which makes him intimidating. They were able to work with us to make sure he was comfortable before putting him under. They also gave him a much needed nail trim. I would highly recommend for neuter and we will be going back to get our female dane spayed in the future.

Prices seem good but I didn t get the chance to pay them for anything. I have a dog that s new to us and I walked in to ask about prices awhile ago and informed them my dog needs vaccines, a neuter, and grooming. I made appointments for grooming and neutering over a month away. A few days before the grooming appointment I received a voicemail saying I ll need to reschedule for a week later. It took me two days to reschedule because they wouldn t answer the phone when I called back. A week later I bring my dog in for the grooming appointment and they ask if he s up to date on rabies. I again say he s new to us and I don t know when his last vaccines were and I have an appointment for those. They inform me they won t groom him until he s up to date and their next available appointment is over another month away. I was never informed they wouldn t be able to groom him unless he was up to date with rabies even when I made the appointments with them and told them I don t know if he was up to date. I know I could ve gotten it done before now but I figured since I had an appointment set for the vaccines to be done that it wouldn t be an issue, especially since they didn t say anything about that before now. I d rather go someplace where I feel like I m not getting the run around.

I had my two male puppies neutered there on Wednesday. The adoption person took them in, and I picked him up when they were done. The person who greeted me and helped me was very kind. Helpful and professional. Gave me the instructions for at home care. Also a printed copy in case I forget. Also got their pain meds. Everything was a very good experience.

UNSAFE PRACTICES DO NOT TAKE PETS HERE They damaged my cats trachea during a standard teeth cleaning, causing air to escape his trachea and fill his entire body. Now he is like bubble wrap. I had to take him to the ER since their office was closed. When I explained the situation to the ER vet, they were very concerned with Pro Pet Care s practices. My cats procedure was very rushed, and they did not even receive an IV drip during the process. Low cost healthcare shouldn t mean dangerous, risky healthcare that ultimately costs more in the long run to repair. They apparently saw this tracheal damage and didn t mention anything to me about it, and refuse to take responsibility for any of this. I asked them to help cover the costs of the ER visit since their clinic was closed and they told me they would not provide any sort of recompense. This is not a standard error, this is a sign of unprofessional lack of care for their patients. I do not feel safe having animals in this facility. Would not take your pets there. I know it s cheap but it s not worth the risk.

I recently acquired my brothers dog while he is off in the military and needed his shots done but my regular vet was booked so I came here. He is a year old lab puppy and he is high energy and from the second we walked in the door they were looking down their noses at me because he wanted pets from everyone. If you get what you pay for was a vet clinic it would be this one. They didnt take us back to a room to do the vaccinations on a clean sanitized table like a normal vet. They just did it on the dirty floor in the lobby for everyone to see and add commentary. This was after the lady gave me judgmental looks and told me I needed to get this dog trained. To which I informed her the whole reason we were getting the shots was so he could go to training and that I had no control over his previous life with my brother. They were so rude for no reason and I cannot believe how unprofessional they were. When I asked the vaccinations be emailed over to me so I could provide them to the trainer they looked at me like I was putting them out and asking them to do something unreasonable. I get needing a cheap vet these days but dont bring your pets here. Since coming I have heard some really scary stories about them and wish I had listened to the reviews before I came. They very clearly have no empathy for animals whatsoever.

After Heartsong closed, this was the recommendation from many locals, and our doggos were due for yearly vaccinations and rabies shots. I called to make sure I knew what time the vet was available for rabies shot, walked in, and they got their shots and we were done. Staff were very sweet and patient. I have a rescue and I ve muzzle trained him just in case and vet was very good with him. Very reasonable prices for vaccinations. Grateful for this spot and the staff.

Small kitten on my back door. Took her in, want her to get her checked and shots/ spay. Closest appt. a month and a half out. At time of appt. told receptionist situation. Afraid she may go into heat before then and I was trying to find quicker service. Found another place. Called to cancel today, over a month in advance and still charged full fee. Pro pet came highly recommend from numerous vets. I will never attempt to use them again.

This Pet care clinic is wonderful! They are all up beat, positive, and the atmosphere is great just walking in, in the morning. Its awesome to be able to get your fur babies fixed and still afford to eat for the rest of the month. Lol they do vaxxs. Trim nails, teeth cleaning which that can get pricy but their prices are great. Its nice to be able to get your pets needs taken care of, not have to go to different places to get certain things done. I highly recommend this pet care clinic. After calling around to find a Vet that could spay my cat, I was blown away by the ridiculous costs in Davis county, I had been quoted costs from $200 to over $400. Every office I called required a pre assessment appointment and a boatload of labs as part of a Spay required bundle. I actually called to a rural county as I have never had to have all this extra for a spay in the past sure enough I found costs outside the valley under $100. I happened to be in Roy and ran across this small clinic which had not opened for business yet, called the number and they scheduled my kitty, charged $90 and did a great job AND she survived without all of the extra and she was just fine, and was back to her crazy little self within a couple days.

This place was AMAZING I felt so taken care of.. I was worried for my fur baby getting fixed but when I returned she was well taken care of and I was informed very well on how to care for her post surgery. And the best part is I didnt have any hidden costs that I was not aware of when I arrived. Also the girls all where very accommodating and super cute/friendly. Thanks girls!!

The prices are great but the girls arent very friendly. They definitely dont do well with big breeds. They stuck my dog 3x to get his heartworm test. The day I went, they didnt have a vet so I couldnt get the rabies done so I had to go to my dogs normal vet. For the price, Id recommend. No complaints

Absolute recommend taking your pets here! Got my dog fixed and I never trust anyone with my dog because he is a huge puppy, they handled him great and I never trusted anywhere more with him. Pleasantly surprised. Brought my pup in for routine shots and blood work. It was way clean. Like really clean. No urine smell or even animal fur anywhere. They were patient with my pup when trimming her nails. (She hates her front paws being touched) 3 techs took time out to help with her. Very appreciative. Familiar faces from Heart song were here. We will continue to be loyal customers with not only our pup now but all of our fur babies in the future.

Normally I like a yearly exam done when its vaccination time, but my Vet couldnt get me in. They suggested Pro Pet Care and Im very happy they did! It was around $50 for all her vaccinations.

Great experience for my two fur babies from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. They were due for their routine vaccines and they offer great prices. Gerilyn got us started with paperwork and the vet tech Stacy administrated the vaccines. One of my doggies is very traumatized/anxious from being vaccinated at a different clinic, and Stacy let me hold her to comfort her and she did not cry or try to bite at all! Very happy with the way they were treated. Highly recommend

If I could give zero stars I would. I took my 3 beloved kitties there to get vaccinated and when I called, the girl I spoke to seemed annoyed but everywhere else was booked at least a month out, when me and my boyfriend got there the same girl was at the desk, first she acted irritated that we were even there, like she didnt want us there. She had glasses heavier set with the side of her head shaved. I dont know her name, then she said if you remember I told you on the phone we cant do rabies shots right now when I never asked about rabies shots and I dont know what they do for first vaccinations and I told her that. Then while we were filling out a little paperwork they hurried and took each of them back without us, did the shots as fast as possible, they didnt examine them or look at them in any way, they didnt even weigh them until I asked them what they weighed. I think they were just trying to get us out of there because they closed in an hour. She was rude the whole time and then told us our cats were a different breed than what they are, Ive seen the parents of our cats, the whole thing took less that 15 minutes. I was very unsatisfied and will never ever be taking any animals there ever again, it was very unprofessional. I dont even know what she gave my cats and had to ask about after care.

They provide good customer service and the services they provide are affordable , but I have concerns about their anesthesia procedure. They do not give fluids with the anesthesia. I have heard this is dangerous. I took one of my younger cats for a dental and it took about three days for her act like herself. My other cats are much older so I will be taking them elsewhere.

I took my pups in for vaccines and both of them get anxious so it s not a pleasant experience. GeriLyn and Aaron were both so kind and helpful and made the experience better than I was anticipating. The pricing was awesome as well.

11/01/2023 @ 10:00am I had called a week ago when I first adopted our little Copper James and spoke with Shaun on the phone. I had a ton of questions about bloodwork, a dental, & vaccines, for my new little senior FurBaby. She was so sweet, informative, and knowledgeable. Today we came in for his pre-surgery bloodwork, vaccines, and I had lots more questions. I got to meet Shaun face to face and she was just as sweet as ever once again and the entire team working today were incredibly caring! Huge thank you to all of you: Gerilynn, Shaun, Sonia, and Stacy R! I was so nervous as first timers and even Copper was shaking so bad. Within the first 10 minutes of us talking, he and I both calmed down and our nerves relaxed. Thank you all for helping with this process of getting my baby as comfortable as you can. We will see you all next week!! If you re unsure about a Vet as well, Pro Pet Clinic, is walk in only and full of staff that truly cares. Please stop in and get a feel for yourselves. 110% recommend! The establishment was extremely clean, organized, no pet/animal urine smell, and not a spec of dust. They have a little store front where you re able to purchase different vitamins, supplements, tooth brushes/paste, accessories, clothes, and more. It s very inviting. There were 2 employees at the front desk which is about 15 feet when you walk in the front door, yet we were instantly greet by Shaun who was in the office (right on left) as we walked in. Gerilynn got all the paperwork I had requested & printed. All smiles, very warm and inviting. You can tell every one we met today enjoys their jobs and working there. Polite, educated, informed, and helpful! I will update my review after his dental surgery next week.

Great customer service, quick, affordable care!

I took my kitten to get spayed and when she came home, her ear was clipped! They DID NOT ask me if I wanted this done. My family particularly my son is extremely upset over this. I had my male kitten fixed a few weeks prior and they didnt do this to him. Be aware when taking your animals to them. Be very specific in what you expect. I will be calling in the morning and I expect the problem to be rectified. Ill come back for an update

I had my male cats neutered yesterday and let me say that Pro Pet Care did such a great job. My cats are healing but are already doing so well. On top of that, they took care of their vaccines. It seemed way more affordable than our other options. If you re looking for a place to take care of your pets, this is the place!

Unfortunately I don t remember her name, but the lady that administered distemper and Bordetella vaccines to my dog today was awful. Yelling at my dog and man handling him and then getting so upset when my dog snared at her for it. Having a traumatizing experience for myself and my dog. I ve never had a vet treat my dog so poorly. The lady helping was very sweet as for the lady at the front desk. Not who gave the shots She was a Heavier set lady blonde hair with glasses

Cannot recommend this place enough. They took such good care of us! Gerilyn went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of and the whole staff was so kind and gentle! Thank you!

Not a very clean place, some staff were very knowledgeable, others not so much. I had to give the Bordatella to my dog myself...convenient though, and they were all very nice.

An office and resource our community badly needs, their value can t be overstated. With the cost of vet care rising how it has, this is the ONLY affordable pet care facility in our area. My cat was neutered here just about a month ago, she healed quickly and was well taken care of. I hope they re able to continue to expand their services PS: I really appreciated that the Dr. examined my cats eye (we adopted her and one of her eyes is damaged, the shelter told us it wasn t a concern but it worried me) without charging an additional exam fee. I am sure surgery day is busy, and it would have been easier on them to just sedate her and skip that part, but they did it anyway

Took our dog here for her annual shots. We were in and out in twenty minutes. They were so gentle with her.

I took my dog here to get his teeth cleaned, and he had to have a few extracted. They took good care of him and he healed up perfectly. They are very reasonably priced too. Thank you!

I took our dogs here to be neutered and was very pleased with the care that they received, the detailed instructions for after care, and the ease with which we were able to obtain medication post-surgery. I was also able to easily obtain updated invoices to bill their veterinary insurance for the services. Would definitely return for other services!

First time there. Our groomer was amazing. She was so good about asking what we wanted done to our dog. Vert friendly. Whole staff was friendly and nice. Will definitely go there for our dogs vaccinations.

I love this place. I had Autumn in for a bath and cut, WOW, I didnt even recognize her until I saw her white paws. Staci did a fantastic job. Im just thrilled to death at how beautiful she is. Thank you Staci.

Appointments fill up fast due to the amazing pricing on surgery appointments, so get on it quick! Process is easy for scheduling online. Staff was super friendly, never meant the VET/DOC which is always kinda odd for me, however my Yorkie is doing okay. He got neutered. hes still a bit wobbly after 6 hours. The only thing that Im bummed about is I was told that a nail trim came complimentary, and it had been done... Puppies nails are not clipped all in all besides the nail trimming not being done its a great place.

The wait was long, but an affordable place to get vaccines, spay/neutering for both dogs and cats. Friendly staff.
