We recognize that your pup is a beloved member of your family, and when they are with us, they should be safe and cared for just like they would be at home. We feel the same way. This is why we created Pups. When you bring your pup to us, you entrust us with your pup’s well-being. We deeply value and cherish that trust, recognizing it as a precious gift. At Pups, we're committed to honoring that trust by delivering only the finest care and expertise for your beloved pets. We view our connection as more than transactional. You and your pup are integral members of our community, and we aim to be active partners in their care. We truly love that you have chosen us to care for your pup!
Our dogs, Willie and Maggie, were groomed again today by Pups. They did an excellent job. Especially with our puppy, Willie. He is a puppy and he looks amazing. Naomi was great with Maggie and Lucia worked wonders on our 5 month old puppy. We are so happy with their services!
Pups really is the best! They always make my dog and I feel at home, and try to fit us in for a groom when they can even if I call last minute. Not to mention they do a wonderful job! I feel so lucky to have them as my groomers! 💖
If you have a doodle or poodle and are over not recognizing them when you pick them up from the groomer, ask for Jose! He’s kind, professional, and understood exactly what we were hoping for. So glad we found you, Jose!
If you’re looking for a place that truly cares about your pets and goes above and beyond, Pups is the perfect choice! I’m incredibly impressed with the exceptional quality and service they provide. Sonya, the owner, is amazing to work with and genuinely passionate about what she does. Also, don’t miss out on the "Earth Rated" lavender dog wipes they carry—these wipes smell fantastic and are a quick, easy way to freshen up your dog. Highly recommend both the products and the care at Pups!
My dog Hailey LOVES going to Pups for daycare, she practically drags me in the door when we get there. All the staff are so friendly and kind, and I love that they have gotten to know Hailey's personality. It's a relief knowing that my dog is being well cared for and that she will be happy and tired when I pick her up at the end of my workday. I've also noticed that Hailey is better behaved at home since she started going to Pups regularly, I think due to their structured playtime and attentive staff. Huge thanks especially to Tara and Anna for taking such good care of my exuberant girl! We have also used Pups grooming services and overnight boarding, all of it is highly recommended!
We rescued our new pup Peggy and she needed some training. We met with Jill for a consultation and she recommended her 6-week training course to learn basic commands. Jill was awesome to work with and very accommodating with our busy schedule. Jill was great with Peggy and very helpful teaching us how to set up our dog for success. Our pup was very excited, happy and engaged during all of her training sessions and Jill made it easy for us to reach out to her for any help/questions we had during the week. We just completed the course and are extremely happy with our dog's success. We loved working with Jill and will continue to as needed to keep us on track.
We had an excellent experience with this business. We were visiting from out of state for a funeral, so we needed daycare. Even though the service we needed wasn't technically available, the owner seemed concerned for the care of our dog and made an exception. She took on the responsibility herself to care for our baby, who isn't used to daycare or kennels. She really helped our stress level during a challenging time. All the staff seemed very nice and we picked up our happy healthy dog when we were done. So grateful for this business and owner!
Pups is great until they aren't. As a business they don't know how to address customer concerns. We have taken our dog to Pups for grooming services 3x. The first two were fine (see last pic); no issues. However, at the latest visit they claimed she was matted and they couldn't brush her. So instead of working around these, they shaved her from head to toe (tail included). I have a doodle, which are prone to mats, however we brush her regularly without issue. We also have been getting her groomed for two years at a different groomer without issue. I sent an email with pics expressing my concern and asked for a refund for the service. After speaking with the owner, the office manager called me and was extremely dismissive. Told me there was no way to work around the mats and instead of a refund I could have 10% off of my next service. This was a one way discussion and they clearly had no intent on hearing my concerns. Not only is this dismissive, it's insulting.
jose did an amazing job with my pup benito! my pup gets very anxious in new environments and moves a LOT during grooming at home, but i m so glad that jose worked with him and got him through his first full groom! i will for sure keep coming back to keep my boy looking handsome :)
The only place I like to bring my dog for daycare. They do a great job with grooming and he comes back from daycare exhausted. Also, he is so excited to go every time he is wagging his tail so hard his whole body is shaking.
We use Pups both for daycare and grooming and they always do such a good job! Stanley comes home exhausted after daycare. In the past few years we ve had to remove some of Stanley s teeth. Since paying for teeth cleaning with his grooming we got big compliments on his teeth at his most recent appointment!
Jose did a fantastic job on Ruger, my Labradoodle.
They dont fully dry my dog and recently raised prices
My dog has been doing training sessions with Jill the last few months and shes been great. We did the board and train program and some 1:1s to work on impulse control and lead pulling. Really happy with the progress and I find Jill to be willing to help/ answer questions when I have them. My dog loves Jill which is a testament to how much she cares about the pup and her progress. Shes been a great training partner!
The girls are amazing, the haircut was up par, and my puppy was super happy.
The people who work here are so patient, detail orientated, and kind!!! They have helped us out with my dog Timothys grooming, nails, and his extra dirty ears. He loves laying in the dirt..
My little Mia is always so excited to come here, and leaves looking perfect! I m so particular about how my Cavalier King Charles ears are shaped and they get it right every time. Thank you!
I started training with Jill at pups a couple of months ago for my dog Gus and she was the best. Jill knew I was moving and only had a short amount of time to get some training done before my cross country move and was so flexible, and truly made a difference in my dog s obedience, skills, and behaviors! I can truly say my dog is happier, more confident, and more obedient since working with Jill!
Pups was highly recommended by several friends and I couldnt agree more. My Papillions were adorable and very happy. The staff was awesome!
Took my 7 year old English bulldog here for the first time and they were absolutely amazing! So kind from the first phone call to onsite. The groomer Charlie that handled my dog was just fantastic. You can tell they truly care and enjoy what they do! Already have my next appointment lined up!
I am very pleased with Pups! They are friendly, knowledgable, and the person grooming my dogs (not just the person working at the front desk) comes out to discuss what you would like done, and they listen! My dogs look great! It is very clean too. Most importantly, they dont make me feel like my schnauzer is a bad dog like the last place I went did. At pups, they tell me he acts just like a schnauzer, and everyone tells me they love schnauzers. So I leave there feelings good about my dogs and about how my dogs look! I highly recommend Pups!
Love Pups Groom. Great, kind, professional, friendly staff. I highly recommend.
So happy I tried Pups! I have a goldendoodle named Cash who was in need of a serious groom after many wet weather playdates. I worked with groomer Charlie, who from the get-go was kind & professional. I knew my pup had matting and would most likely need to be cut very short to correct the mats - but Charlie discussed this with me anyway. In no way did I feel judged for the mats, just that they were happy to help (I do my best at home grooming but sometimes we need the professionals to step in - thats what they are there for, after-all). When I went to pick him up he looked so handsome (even with short hair!). I could tell Charlie enjoyed working with Cash & it seemed like they already had a great connection. I appreciated the feedback of how he did during the appointment. They even gave him a cute bandana & yummy natural treats to take home. The receptionist who checked me out was also a sweetheart. They will be my groomers moving forward - no questions asked! Thank you, Pups!!
This is my favorite place to take my dogs in for grooming. The staff are so great, I know my pups are in good hands while they are there. I can often get an appointment within 24-48 hrs, and they offer a wide range of services depending on what your dog needs. Supporting a locally owned business like this makes sense when they go the extra mile that other places may not. Everyone here pours their heart and soul into giving my dog a great experience. Only place I will take my dogs now, thanks so much!!
Appreciated the personal touch with cut Charlie gave Prince. There was some irregular cutting that needing cleaning up and they did great job. Prince was relaxed with their grooming studio.
I have taken my husky here for a year or two now and I have nothing but great things to say! Thank you so much for doing such a great job! Will definitely bring my dog here for as long as I live in Salt Lake.
Enoki and I love going to Pups! We started out with a puppy socialization class and have been training with Deb ever since - she has been wonderful with obedience and trick training and answering our many questions! We also go here for grooming and daycare and have always had great experiences! Always comes home tired after a fun day of play.
The groomers at Pups did an incredible job. My dogs are a lot to handle, but the groomers were very capable. My dogs fur was so soft and stayed mat-free for longer than usual after a bath.
The team is great and my dogs love getting groomed here. Friendly, thoughtful and I love that they support the LGBTQ community in Salt Lake City. I trust them enough to start using their in-home boa ding while I m traveling for work next week.
Since Ashley has been grooming my Leonberger, the shedding has been cut in half. She is always so clean and fluff free after a groom. The staff are always so welcoming and helpful! I would highly recommend Pups!
Pups has essentially helped me raise my pup into a really good boy. Weve used them for daycare, one-on-one training, group classes, and walk & trains. Theyve always taken great care of him and hes a better pup for it.
Obsessed with this place and with Ezra. The entire team made me feel so comfortable and confident bringing Lennon here. Ezra talked me through services and was very helpful and kind. Of course we will be back. I ve already scheduled my next appointment!
They love my little Chug. He gets so excited to see his friends. They do a fantastic job!!!
First time getting my large dog groomed and I am very impressed. Ezra was so sweet and did an amazing job. I can t wait to try out their daycare. My pup was nervous at first but warmed up to everyone well. Nicest employees.
Lovely kind caring staff. Treated my pet with care and genuine enthusiasm. Moxie was super excited!
Used to have the best prices around!!! Training has almost doubled in price. Daycare has doubled. Grooming has more than doubled in price. This all means that grooming is the only thing that I can try to afford now because they know my dog, but if it continues to keep going up, I ll have to look elsewhere. Love our Annie though.
I have had a hard time finding a reliable groomer to handle my Newfoundland, whether just for a bath/brush or for a full groom. He s got sensitive skin, which can be a pain to deal with. Not to mention, with all of his fur, I ve seen some not-so-great grooming cuts as well. I started coming to Pups when they first opened, and haven t had the need to go anywhere else. They are kind, communicative, and they do a fantastic job with my doggo. Shoutout to Ezra in particular, who always takes SUCH good care of him. 10/10 would recommend this shop, so happy you guys are around!
Sweet little Annie was hit by a car and still a bit tender. Pups did an amazing job with her! Love this place. Picked up a little highlight on her Mohawk to make her feel extra pretty!
Great service, loving caring. They aknowledge my request , to trim even lower to make the best of my investment.
Pups is awesome! The staff is so lovely and caring and my dog gets so excited to go in for daycare. I take her in for daycare at least once a week and Ive also used the grooming services and boarding services - they take great care of my dog and are professional and very proactive with communicating. Love this place!
My husband and I are full time rvers and have had a difficult time finding a groomer for our shitzu. I called Pups and they scheduled her for the next day and they were wonderful with her. She looks adorable and smells beautiful! I cannot say thank you enough to them and if we are back in the area we will definitely call you all.
Grooming was good but they asked us not to come back because our dog got nervous and peed. We lived over a hour away so it was a long drive just to go and pick them up. We had been there 5 times with both our dogs at over 500 dollars plus 20% tip per trip. After telling us not to bring our dog back they texted us and asked why we hadn t been in for a while. What a slap in the face. It took us a long time to find someone that groomed newfies. If you have a big dog this is not the place to go
We are really enjoying the gentle handling class, and hope hell be ready for grooming soon
I have been going to Pups ever since they first opened and only recently have I had several issues; pricing/communication when it came to pricing, inconsistencies when it came to how my dog was handled with different groomers (our regular groomer said our dog was well mannered/great during his grooms & another groomer who we used when our regular wasn t available said he was difficult), and overall customer service. I was ready to stop taking my dog here entirely when I had a conversation with the owner and I felt like she sincerely listened to and addressed all my concerns. Not only did she take the time to call but her actions reflected that she wanted to make the situation right for us immediately and in the future. I feel confident that the owner is committed to running a business where you and your pet receive the best experience possible and as a result I m going to continue using pups. As a side note my dog has always been groomed beautifully and that has never been an issue for us
Great service and staff. My dog emerged beautiful. Go Naomi! Thanks for being in the hood.
I am more than happy to have finally found a great place for grooming! I believe our groomers name was Nikki. She did an INCREDIBLE job with my little Kona. Best groom she s had yet!
great place really puts dogs needs first and they did amazing job on my dog
I ve been using Pups at their newest location for quite some time now. The groomer I have always used when going there is Naomi. Naomi always takes great care of my Goldendoodle Oliver. She listens to what I want, and always does a great job with his haircut and other grooming needs. My dog is pretty nervous, but listening to Naomi talk to him reassures me that he is in good hands and that she genuinely cares about him. I have been unhappy with other grooming places and groomers themselves, but I am completely happy with the whole experience and staff at Pups. They offer many great services, and have a clean and organized space. Good communication every time. I highly recommend!
They do a good job with our Pomeranian Bentley. the place is very clean. Smells great people are friendly.
They did an awesome job!! Jimmy s best haircut yet and he s almost 2. They even gave him a cute little handkerchief (not pictured). We will definitely be bringing him back.
We have been loyal customers of Pups SLC for 3 years for our two Cocker Spaniels, and we will not be returning due to their newly enacted heavy-handed fee policies. We were not aware of an updated vaccination that was required for our dog to be groomed, and we were charged a 100% cancellation fee on the day of the attempted drop-off because of this. A boutique, high-end groomer such as Pups SLC should notify their customers of any vaccination requirements beforehand. We feel cheated (especially considering we have spent at least $1200 over the last three years with them).
This place is amazing! Its welcoming, inviting and everyone was super nice. Cant recommend it enough. They have fair pricing and offer top notch service. They even sent me pics for Christmas! Ill definitely be back!
Pups treat my dogs and I like family. My dogs are not very social so when we arrive they bark a ALOT which brings me anxiety. The stuff are kind, and understanding.
The staff are kind and know how to treat dogs and people with compassion and professionalism. Grooming is thorough and well done.
My labradoodle came out clean groomed and HAPPY. Thanks Trisha
So happy to have found this place.
This was my pups first groom appointment I dropped him off in the morning and got a text alert when he was done. I picked him up and they said he did amazing with everything. Once we got home I noticed tons of cuts all over him the cuts were small but ALL over his body and caused him pain. I m really don t understand how this even happened sense I only got him a bath, sanitary trim, teeth brushed, nails trim, and de-shader. Super disappointed and it was expensive, $120 just for that. I would never recommend a groomer that covered my puppy in cuts, Let alone changed a $120 to do so.
I took my Aussiedoodle to get a full groom at Pups SLC, and he came back looking like a legitimate rat. The groomers said his anxiety was so bad that they were unable to finish the room job. They called me about 4.5 hours after dropping him off to tell me he had reached his max stress point, and that I needed to come get him. Mind you, he has been groomed elsewhere twice before, and he was completely fine. My dog had not reached his max, he had far exceeded it, and was in full blown traumatized shock. They should have called me hours earlier to tell me he was having a hard time. I was told to give him a day to relax, and bring him back 48 hours later to finish the job. I did as instructed, and about 45 minutes later I got the call that his anxiety was beyond their abilities. My dog now is horrified of any sound, he isn t eating, and he remains curled up in a ball. It s been 2 days. My dog used to be the happiest outgoing guy. You have ruined my dog, changing his behavior, and now I am having to put him on anti-depressants per my vets recommendation. I paid the $50 handling fee, because i was told it was theft of service if i didn t, but you ve left me with a sad, depressed, traumatized, and ungroomed dog. Thanks so much.
The worst customer service/communication I ve ever dealt with. Do not go here.
Very horrible experience 2 times we took our dog here. The staff absolutely lacks the proper communication skills to be in this profession. The first appt. our requests were essentially ignored and our dog s hair looked atrocious. Hair grows back, so we moved on and chalked it up to a fluke. We went back for another grooming with a different specific groomer. This time, the cut/hair looks fine - I was extremely explicit and direct with what we wanted. However, they failed to notify us of small issues within the grooming session when we picked him up (mattes in his ears that were dislodged/exposed during their ear cleaning/shaving process. These mattes were not an issue previous to taking him here). (Let me also mention, we take great care of our dog s coat (he is a doodle). We brush him daily, he has little amounts of mattes, he s happy/content/pain-free/etc.) These issues then grew to be very apparent at home, causing our dog extremely discomfort and pain. They just left the mattes hanging after dislodging them. Very strange approach lol. We took him back the next day to address the problem/get them cut off and was told nothing could be done (ridiculous considering it took me about 10 minutes to remove them when I got home). I requested a full refund be given but was denied because the service was completed . I haven t even mentioned yet that when we picked him up, they claimed they didn t finish his face and to come back days later - after we spent over $180 on this grooming. **I also want to mention the painful and raw abrasions on his skin that are now present after grooming.** I genuinely don t think these groomers know what they re doing and/or they re not dog people. After reading other reviews, it s clear they don t handle animals well. Overall, this establishment is insanely overpriced, the employees lack basic communication skills (dismissive, no listening, etc.), I DO NOT trust them with my dog, and I will never be going back. It s not great to pay $180 to be dismissed, leave with an awful haircut, and have no trust with my dog in their hands!
We LOVE Pups. My golden doodle loves Mandilyn and she is always so attentive and gentle with him. Weve had bad experiences and so he sometimes is a little sensitive but she always is slow and lets him work through it.
cut my dogs nails way way too short, she s still limping! super disappointing, won t be returning.
Great staff!
Love this place, clean, good work, happy to see the pups.
Had my first private training with Jill today and my adopted Malamute Sakari. Jill is great she has very good ideas and my dog loves her.
Excellent work.
We have a 12+ year old rescue Shih Tzu named Zoe. She is terrified of being held and being groomed. We had actually been turned away by other groomers and didnt know what we were going to do. Our vet referred us to Pups, and thankfully, this is where we met Trish. Trish is so patient and kind to Zoe and always does an amazing job. The entire staff does a great job at making her feel comfortable, and I trust them completely.
Wonderful caring staff
We love Pups! Finally found our groomer. Annie is wonderful. I m specific with the way I want my doodle groomed. After a couple of small mistakes, she s got it down perfectly. She listens to my needs and she is really kind to my dog. My Nephew takes his doodle to her as well to get the Beezer cut as we call it. Everyone I ve dealt with at pups has been professional, knowledgeable. They have a great, caring staff! Thanks Pups
We had taken our dog to Paw by Paw, which was always fine but they would rarely answer the phone or emails. So when they closed, this came up and Ive been so impressed during every interaction Ive had from booking to the actual appointment. His groomer did a great a job and he obviously liked working with her, despite the bathing! I definitely trust them with my dog, the service is top notch, everyone is very knowledgeable and friendly.
Ive been a loyal customer of Pups since I got my pup in early January, purchasing training from them, a puppy groom, and a full groom since then. When I scheduled my pups next groom, I was advised by one of the front desk staff to get my pups vaccine updated, which I did. I came to question the necessity of that booster vaccine when I signed new consent forms that listed a frequency of every 12 months for the vaccine, and not every 6 months as the front desk gal told me. After further discussion with my vet and the manager of Pups, Alicia, it was clarified for me that there was confusing wording on my pups vet paperwork that suggested he needed the booster, and that was why I was told to get it, not because of a shop policy he get it updated. So, basically, I spent $30 and also my time getting an unnecessary booster that wasnt due for another 5 months. I requested a discount on his next groom to make up for the unecessaey inconvenience and cost of getting that booster for him, but was told no, nor was I offered any free upgrade or service in lieu of a credit. This is very poor customer service, especially for a salon that is high-end and whose marketing suggests a focus on positivity, friendliness, and a low-stress environment (I guess only for dogs, not owners). I will be finding a new salon to visit every 3 months or so as I have a high maintenance doodle. Loosing a regular customer for such an expensive service every 3 months over $30, especially when they were at fault, makes very little sense to me. This place isnt a good fit for us and we will be finding better vibes and service somewhere else.
Great prices, great with my pup. Would recommend
The groomer s did a great job. And will be going to them from now on.
This place is wonderful! Everyone is very nice and helpful! Otis has a lot of anxiety but he has no issues coming here! He always looks and smells amazing when they are done.
Pups is THE BEST! Prior to only going to Pups I had taken my Bernedoodle Miley to a number of groomers around the valley and kept having various issues. I no longer have to worry because Pups not only delivers a great groom, but more importantly they care about the dog s well-being and comfort over anything else. If you notice all the negative reviews are all people who let their dogs get matted. When I took her for one of her appointments (I admittedly had not kept up on the brushing as much as usual) they took the time to show me the mattes, explain why they are painful/bad, and recommendations to help. Any issue I have had they have been understanding and willing to work it out (including me missing an appointment woops). I think its amazing that they not only put the dogs well being #1, but that they are not afraid to give you feedback and tell you honestly how your dog is coming in and how they did during the appointment so that you can help your dog improve. I know that when I bring my dog here they treat her very well which is more important to me than a cheap price or a groomer that takes too many dogs at once. I have tried multiple groomers at Pups and they are all fantastic and seem to work as this fun little team. I LOVE PUPS and so does MILEY. Thank you!
My dog always leaves calm and happy! They truly love dogs and care for them in such a loving way! I wouldn t go anywhere else
PUPS has been absolutely amazing with our doodle puppy. We first tried another local salon and our pup ended up with a uti and didn t love the experience. Next we tried PUPS and their puppy groom which helped our baby get acclimated to the salon environment. They were patient with her and gave her lots of treats and she seemed to have had a great experience when we went to pick her up compared to the last place. We brought her back for her first groom and being a wiggly puppy the groomer missed a few spots. We understood as this was the first true grooming experience and we would rather have her happy than look perfect but the salon manager, Alicia reached out to us and offered to groom her personally the following week free of charge. She did a great job and Tofu came back looking picture perfect. After Alicia did such a great job and had such great customer service we knew we d found our new salon. Since then we have returned multiple times and will continue to do so. You can tell PUPS truly cares about the dogs they work on, we even got a call once to let us know Tofu would take a bit longer since she was being a wiggly and curious puppy and they wanted to make sure the groom was as stress free as possible for our (then 7mo) puppy. I d take a groomer willing to take more time and me having to wait a bit longer over a stressful and potentially scaring grooming experience for my pup any day. We ve also had some really great training classes with Deb who s taught us a lot about working through our teenage phase with our puppy as well as amazing basic training. People on the street have stopped us to ask who grooms our pup and even our vet complimented her grooming job. We find ourselves constantly recommending them to family, friends and neighbors or anyone who will listen. We ve been so fortunate to find PUPS and won t go anywhere else for our grooming or training needs. Where else will you find a groomer your dog is pulling YOU through the door? (We re working on it Deb) My only suggestion would be if you could extend your daycare hours! We d love to drop our Tofu off but the hours don t work with our work schedule. If you can make it 7 to 7 we ll gladly switch our daycare to you as well!
Called and was surprised could get an appointment so soon. Told them we had a toy poodle. Said charge would be $75 to 80. Got there and told them I wanted a poodle cut. They said for breed specific cut it would be $130. Took my dog and left. Not honest people.
I ve been going here since they opened! They always take such good care of my dogs, and my dogs always look ready for the red carpet. Naomi is an awesome groomer and is so sweet to my senior baby pups!
Great place and great people!
We took my 10-year old dog and this is my favorite haircut shes ever had! They were super nice and listened to our concerns (she was recovering from shave shock). The space is very cute and it made us feel very comfortable leaving her there for the grooming. We will definitely be taking her back and our other pup there.
The people at Pups are amazing! They were really gentle with my nervous dog and put her right at ease. Her cut is adorable. And when I had a personal emergency and couldn t pick her up right on time, they were super understanding and helpful. Both my dog and I had excellent experiences. I love this place. We will be back!
We learned about pups from a neighbor. I am so glad we gave them a try! We brought our 4.5 month old golden doodle in for her first puppy groom. The staff was kind and nurturing to our pup and they really know their stuff! I really appreciate how the groomers and bathers are experienced and there are dog trainers on site to help with the process/experience for our furry friends. Our pup looks great and seemed very happy to be there when we picked her up. We will definitely be scheduling all of our grooms here moving forward. They also have puppy training classes, of which we plan to sign our pup for.
Ive been to Pups twice now and I love it! All of the staff is extremely nice, walked us through the process as first time pet owners, and our groomer even texted us updates during the process to keep my anxiety at bay! The first time we went, we got just a puppy groom done to introduce our puppy to grooming. They did such a good job with taking it at her pace, making it a positive experience, and ensuring we all wanted to come back! Her second groom was a full groom. They did such a good job, My puppy came out happy, clean, and SO beautiful! Excited to go back!
This was our puppys first groom (at 6 months of age). PUPS took such good care of him as they introduced him to the sounds and feels of the process. Will definitely be taking the pup back there.
We love Pups! Weve been twice and both times have been wonderful experiences for our dogs, Peach and Juno. It is such a relief having Kali, the dog trainer, there to help facilitate the grooming session. I was worried about my dog-sensitive bulldog, Juno, but Trish is so kind and gentle with him which makes me feel comfortable leaving him there. And again, having Kali there to tend to Junos emotional responses and make him feel safe and calm is so so helpful! Nate is so good with Peach, too! He is very knowledgeable of the breed and their hair needs :) Peach has a little bit of separation anxiety, and once the team realized that and put Peach in Junos kennel as they were waiting to get picked up made Peach feel completely at ease. Just another example of their care and tending to the dogs. We live all the way in Sandy, but the long drive is so worth it to know that my precious fur babies are getting the best service from Trish, Nate, Kali, and the rest of the team! And that they care for and love my doggos ~almost~ as much as I do ;) Thank you thank you!!!
Im thrilled with Pups. The staff all seemed to love dogs. They were great with my dog who gets a little nervous in new places. The grooming looks great. I didnt know what I wanted, I told them to just use their judgment and Im very pleased with the results.
We took out 10 month old Ari for her first groom. The manager Brooke was so kind and professional. Ari s groomer Nate took the time to explain to us what he could do with Ari s coat and gave us some tips on how we could maintain it better going forward. Nate found a hematoma near Ari s ear while grooming and Brooke sent me picture messages of it to make sure I was aware. Everyone that I interacted with at Pups seemed very genuine and down to earth. They do a thorough job and care about the dogs and their parents. I also appreciate their commitment to the environment. Ari is so fresh and soft, her sister can barely believe she s the same dog (seriously, she keeps smelling her ). Thank you to the pups team to making Ari and our first experience so wonderful. We definitely will be back in the future. Pups is a great addition to the neighborhood and I will be recommending them to our friends and neighbors!
Pups has been great. I ve taken my 4.5 month old Golden Retriever in for several daycare sessions and a grooming session. They mix in training with play throughout daycare and have helped me create a well-rounded puppy. An excellent option for all your pup needs.
They shave peoples dogs without their permission. Dont risk going here with your dog. I had high expectations and thought this place would be good because of the great reviews. But they definitely proved me wrong because they shaved our beloved dog and ruined his coat. They are lazy and do not know what theyre doing at all. Please avoid this place at all cost. They will try to justify their actions. Please do not let your dog through what our dog had to go through.
We are so grateful to have found a place that truly uses positive reinforcement practices with their (puppy) clients. They also go the extra mile to understand the individual needs of your dog and makes sure each employee that interacts with your dog knows their needs as well. We have 2 pups that have their own very different needs and they are able to cater to each of them so well that neither pup ends up getting stressed. With one, they even were able to make progress with nail trims, even though we have broken down every step of the task analysis and still have significant difficulty being successful with this at home. And with the other, they have already made progress with some of her fears and have allowed her to take things at her (sometimes very slow) pace so that she does not shut down and quit. We love this place so much that we are coming up from Utah County as often as possible to continue bringing our pups to them. I highly recommend anyone looking for a place that sets things up for success and truly cares about your pup to give PUPS a try!
I m so excited to have a doggie daycare and groomer that is run by extremely knowledge trainers and staff well versed in positive reinforcement! Pups limits how many dogs are allowed in daycare which insures a positive and happy experience for every dog. One of their groomers was even able to quickly dremmel our dogs nails and even after years of training we ve had to wait and have her nails trimmed when she gets sedated for medical procedures because she will not allow us to trim them at home!! Please try Pups, you won t go anywhere else once you do!!
We just recently started taking our dogs to Pups and it has been a great experience. The groomers did a fantastic job with my Westie and Scottie. The service is top notch. I definitely plan to continue taking my dogs here.
Recommendations: Ask about prices ahead of time, be aware and knowledgeable about the services youre asking for and get quotes for add-ons ahead of time. Dont pre-pay online. We were fairly optimistic about Pups as they were quick to respond to our inquiry about grooming and initially calmed our fears about our pup who has groomer anxiety. However, our experience wasnt quite what we were expecting. We were charged $100 for a $60 service ($5 was for the teeth cleaning we asked for) but the reminder was a $20 fee for Special Handling and $10 for a pedicure. First off, we preemptively explain about our dogs anxiety and was never at any point in the grooming process made aware that there would be an extra $20 fee if our dog needed special handling. Secondly, when my husband dropped off our dog he asked about his rough paw pads and they said that they could add a balm to the pads. They did not however tell us how much extra it would cost. Lastly, nail trimming and buffing was supposedly included in our Bath + De-shed package (or in the pedicure we were charged for) but they didnt complete the job as his nails are still jagged and sharp. We acknowledge it was probably because our puppy was struggling to stay calm because of his anxiety. However, I have never had a groomer struggle so much to provide the services they offer for my pup or charge me such a high amount. Were not necessarily mad about the service provided, more so we expected to be kept in the loop regarding our pups needs and cost. Sonya the Owner was kind enough to talk with us about our experience after and provided a refund for the Special Handling, pedicure and teeth brushing. They were calm and understanding of our situation and frustrations. I appreciate the professionalism they used in our experience.
My puppy is my world and only the best for him! The drop of my puppy felt safe and that he would be taken care of. The scheduling process was fast and easy! My puppy is hair is so soft and feels healthy! He is for sure a happy puppy! Thank you!
