Awesome care

So Im an experienced groomer that had knee surgery and I had a client that couldnt wait for my recovery and took her shih Tzu to Sydneys for a basic shave down teddy bear... Charged her extra for a teethbrushing which she didnt ask for ended up being $70 toral...for just a tiny shih Tzu and the haircut is ridiculous its a mess. you need to train your groomers a little bit better I was so disgusted with this groom... I hate about talking other groomers but come on , u cant charge professional.prices for rookie grooming jump ahead a couple years I actially got hired at the mury location.. pt.. thought I could actually see what goes on behind the scenes of this supposidley upscale franchise... PLEASE, it was like I was jumping back to the 90s... Im so glad that at least the clients appreciate the groomers because the owner DOES NOT... They dont use high quality products.. fyi..

I really wish I didnt have to leave a bad review, I used to love this place. However, to protect your beloved pets I feel like I must put this PSA out there. My four year old cocker spaniel has been going to this groomer his whole life. I always went back, even when they forgot to clip his nails or clean his glands, because he never seemed scared to visit again, which was a good sign. The last time I went, the owner groomed Jax. He then proceeded to cough for days after the grooming. After some research, I learned this could be from strangulation on the table if the groomer walked away. The owner was nice when I called and assured me it wasnt that. I let it go because he stopped coughing shortly after. Alarming though. This last time I got him groomed, he was devastated for a few days. I didnt know why he wasnt bouncing back. Days later, when I took off his bandana, I noticed HUGE razor blade cuts ALL over his neck. They were scabbing and it was evident he had been bleeding, and pretty badly. The groomer failed to notify me or the front staff of this incident. Instead, they hid it under a handkerchief. I was furious. They could have seriously injured or killed my dog, and they tried to hide it. To their credit, the front desk and manager said they had no idea it happened and they would have a stern talking to the groomer, but after TWO very dangerous encounters at this grooming location, I can never go back. My dog is my world and I cant have people like this being responsible for him. I hope this review is helpful and helps protect your dogs.

Terrible and will never go back. Any groomer that doesn t know you shouldn t shave the top coat should not be in business. My border collie had the softest, smoothest coat and now it is ruined forever because this groomer doesn t know how to follow instructions. Why do you shave a dog when the owner asked for a trim? Especially when it is common knowledge not to shave this breed?

First and foremost Sydnees Grooming doesnt even take the time to proofread their reply, do you think theyre going to take the time to do your dogs anal glands? No chance. Moose does not have severe anxiety and gets bathed regularly. Ive posted the last three times Ive brought them in to prove that fact. But lets say, just for fun, your attempt at gaslighting was correct. I have never once heard moose has had severe anxiety, if he did (which he doesnt), why is this the first time Im hearing of it? Furthermore, your excuse that he has long quicks still does not make sense. Why were you able to clip his nails the second time with no issues if his quicks were too long? Sydnees does not provide transparent pricing, provides poor service, and then has the audacity to try and gaslight me in response. 0/10 would not recommend. Tldr: overpriced, services paid for and not rendered. Save your money and go somewhere better. Full story: Paid $98 BEFORE the tip for full service bath, brush, nail trim, anal gland expression. When my labrador came home he was bathed but it was obvious his nails were not touched. After returning to the store they clipped his nails and told me they didnt clip them first time because the quick of his nails were too long. If that was the case why were you guys able to clip his nails when I brought him back? Make it make sense. Furthermore, its as if they never brushed him and now Im doubting if they even did the anal glands. Their pricing varies massively, its as if they just put the highest price they think youll pay. As i was checking out one woman essentially asked the other woman how much to charge me as if they were making the numbers up on the fly. Ive been a long time customer but I wont be returning. 1/10 would not recommend.

I know our dog will always leave looking great, which is not something I can say about every groomer we ve tried. And he s always happy to be there, which is also very rare. Everyone at Sydnee s is nice and accommodating. Consistency here is king.

Again photo given of good grooming. Head was a poof ball when got her home. Had to spend 45 min trimming it to where it should have been.

We took our two cavapoos to Sydnees for the first time and are so happy with the results. It seemed clean and didnt feel chaotic, even though they were busy. They did a great job grooming our dogs and were really quick. I also appreciate the extra precautions they are taking around the dog respiratory virus that has been spreading. Highly recommend!

I couldnt be happier with Kevins work! I have an Aussie and Im very particular about how she is groomed. Ive gone to Kevin twice now and Khloe is perfect! Ive had bad experiences were groomers have shaved her which is a no no with an aussie. He shapes her feathers perfect and her coat is beautiful! Hes super talented!! Thank you Kevin!!

We took our Bella for our 3 time to Sydnees in SLC for a full-groom visit. We are so happy.They are so sweet to our girl and she always comes home looking awesome. she looks and feels like the Princess she is! Thank you guys for always being so kind and gentle with Bella.

After trying a bunch of other groomers before finding Sydnees, I now won t take my dog anywhere else! My dog is hard to cut and hard to make his cut look good, and they do amazing every time!

They are magic at trimming our cats nails, and everyone comes out looking great!

The staff there is super sweet and the dogs seem to be really comfortable there! It was my first time getting my dog groomed since adopting him and he seemed pretty comfortable there which surprised me because he s fairly timid. The only downside was the price- it was roughly $80 pre-tip for what seems like an incomplete haircut (there were some spots that were missed around his legs and chest). I was told he wasn t the best during his grooming, so it is understandable, but I couldn t find anything on pricing before going in and was told over the phone it d be closer to $60-70, so it caught me a little off guard. I ll definitely be bringing him back though! Great location and super kind staff.

We have taken our golden retriever here several times, and they always do a great job. We will for sure continue bringing him back to them.

I have been getting my 9 lbs miniature schnauzer cut at Sydnee s since she was a puppy & it had always been great. Last summer she was was attacked by another dog and we had to delay her groom due to her wound and stitches. This location was extremely accommodating and non judgmental of the situation and her matting due to the attack. Was super gentle with her the groom following the attack and has been great for each subsequent visit. LOVE!!

Always so good with my girl! Have a Great Pyrenees and they do a great job trimming around the ears and feet!

Was looking for a groomer I could take in before work and pick up after since I work full time. I communicated I couldn t pick up until right at closing. My three minutes late cost me like $4 every minute or something unjustified, I felt like. Why not charge by the quarter hour if someone is late picking up. But by the minute seemed excessive. No complaints about the grooming process she looked amazing and did exactly what I said. I know I won t go back here, unfortunately. Unless I had some friend or spouse do the drop off and pickup that s the only way it s realistic.

The staff was very welcoming and knowledgeable in how to trim border collie fur and Pablo came out with some puppy soft paws :)

The staff here are nothing short of amazing!! We have two cats that both see regular trips here now (pro tip: gabapentin is a miracle worker and helps cats stay calm during grooming). I strongly recommend them for anyone with pet grooming needs.

These guys are great ! They ve been taking care of my mini poodle for about a year now and they do such a good job! I just decided to bring in my shepherd also and they were very patient with her acting like a big baby. I love that making an appointment is easy and I get email reminders to set it up. Please please please check these guys out!!! Sydnees took care of us on short notice (which is almost unheard of these days) and had awesome staff to welcome us and take care of our requests! The shop is conveniently located on a bike path and is very clean and organized inside. We ll be booking again with Jenny!

Took my dog to get his nails trimmed. They got him in and out quickly, but it was a rush job. They didnt grind off the sharp edges of the nails like advertised in the description on their website, and there were parts of the nail falling off after I took him home. The staff was also rushed and not particularly welcoming. Will be going elsewhere next time.

Took my standard poodle pup to Sydnee s grooming in Sugarhouse and loved how well my dog s groom turned out. I showed them pictures when I dropped him off and they asked clarifying questions to make sure they understood exactly what I wanted. They are very efficient and friendly. Sydnees pet grooming is the best! I have a 15 year old poodle/terrier mix who has anxiety. The are very caring and sensitive to this. He always looks great after his grooming. I highly recommend them.

My dog is always so excited when we walk through the door. She used to be scared of the groomer but loves it here! You can tell everyone that works here is great with dogs and treats them as their own. She also always comes out looking good and they have tons of options on how to customize what you want done. I was having a hard time finding a place to groom my Pomeranian since they have a double coat of fur. The groomers listened to me and made me feel comfortable that they know what they are doing and will do exactly what I asked for. My pet looked so good after his full grooming! I am very happy with Sydnees and I love how easy it is to schedule an appointment. I included a before and after picture.

I ve been taking my pup here for a while now. They always do a decent job. The results are sometimes inconsistent. He always looks good, but teddy bear cut seems to mean something different to each stylist. Today his eye brows were left a little heavy. But given the convenient online scheduling and their Saturday hours, it makes getting him groomed much easier.

I wish I could share the same sentiments a lot of these reviews have - but my experience was pretty bad. I asked them to trim only around her mouth , her paws and her bum, they didn t do her bum or her paws but they cut all the way around her head?? LONG HAIR that takes a literal year to grow back. She looked SO WEIRD. I called them later, left a vm, and a manager called back with zero apologies only asking me to call her back. I didn t call her back, the damage was done and she didn t sound empathetic so it felt pointless. The woman at the counter was also rude to me for no apparent reason. I told her this was our first time and I was a little nervous, and she just stared at me like she had never seen a human before and then took my dog back to instruct someone to give her a terrible haircut. Anyway, this was 4 months ago and my dog s hair still hasn t grown back enough to look natural - it reminds me every day of how awful my experience was. PS - they also put a plastic flower in her hair with a rubber band and it was so tangled up in her hair I had to cut the rubber band to get it out.

I always go in to get my pets Nails groomed but it seems like they do such a fast job it doesnt get very close to the quick I wish they would take just a couple more moments to do a better job with my dogs

I brought my 4 month old kitten in for a nail trim. It was my first time coming here and I assumed they had a separate space for cats, seeing as they offer cat services. The person helping me took my kitten back without saying anything and before I could ask any questions. The staff were friendly but made it clear that they were too busy to talk to me. They brought my kitten into a room with several off leash dogs and proceeded with the nail trim on an open table. The whole process felt very unsafe, not to mention unclean, and I wish I could ve gotten some clarification before sending him back. When all was said and done, my kitten s hair was falling out in clumps and he was clearly traumatized.They were incredibly fast and the prices were cheap but it was not worth the safety issues. I m thankful none of the dogs were aggressive, but this shouldn t be left up to luck. I left without saying anything, I wanted to get him home as quickly as possible.

Overall both some pros and cons. Nothing to write home about but not storm off mad either. The front desk was having some issues with internet the day I dropped my dog off which led to lack of communication and expectations. I scheduled the full package online only to come pick my dog up and notice he didn t get a hair cut at all which was the main reason I booked the appointment. He looked good from the bath and brush but I feel the price was too much. I asked how much hair was cut to which they confirmed it wasn t cut but they didn t charge me for a cut. Editing as I forgot to mention my pup seemed uncomfortable in his skin the next couple of days bad enough where I was about to take him to the vet but instead hopped in the shower with him - so I assume it was an issue with the shampoo used because the shower helped. The overall experience could have been more pleasant if guests were to meet their groomer, especially on a first visit.

Awesome place to come too for your dogs to get their nails trimmed. Everyone needs a raise

Terrible groom! We picked our dog up and her quicks were bleeding because her nails were cut too short. She was whimpering because of this. We asked for her to be almost buzzed and she came back with long hair still, barely trimmed as well as some mud still on her face and paws. Will never be going back!

Reba our GoldenDoodle was cut and trimmed with a pregnancy cut. Her puppies are due Aug 6 2022. She is expecting 10 pups. We love the artistry of the groomers at Sydnees.

I found Sydnees s in Centerville during the COVID lockdown and waited with baited breath for their SL location to open. I was not disappointed. Jeni is so engaged and great with my full size poodle. I love the pet friendly feel at both locations. You can see and feel how much they LOVE their four footed friends. Personally, Im so grateful for the maintenance plan offered. I cannot tell you how many compliments my pup receives on a regular basis. They were worth the long drive to before and even more so now they have two options.

It was my first visit I wanted my schnauzer groomed I said I didnt want her so short that you could see pink skin, they barley took any off and didnt trim her ears at all. I looked like they just trimmed around her eyes. Dissapointed, when I asked why her ears were not done they said she was squirmy.

We took our Chanel to Sydnees in SLC on Wilmington yesterday for a full-groom. This was our fourth visit. We are so happy to have been referred to Sydnees by our daughter. They are so sweet to our girl and she always comes home looking awesome. I have to say that yesterdays groom was my favorite, she looks and feels like the Princess she is! Thank you ladies for always being so kind and gentle with Chanel.

I ve delayed this review for far too long. I used to have a fabulous groomer, but unfortunately she went out of business during Covid. So I tried this place out because I was able to schedule the appointment a lot sooner than some other places in town. I took my husky, Stanley, here several months ago. I know it s not easy grooming dogs with double coats of hair, so I always tip generously. Usually when I take Stanley to get groomed, it takes several hours, so I was surprised when they called me after only two hours and said he was done. When I arrived to pick him up, the girl who groomed him was very rude. I was concerned that maybe Stanley was difficult to work with and she was probably just frustrated. She charged me $70, and before I even saw my dog I tipped her an extra $30. When she brought Stanley out, I was shocked. Stanley has been getting groomed for 14 years. I ve worked with a lot of groomers, but I have never seen such poor grooming before. His fur was so loose, he was shedding even worse than he was when I dropped him off. She proceeded to explain that she cut one of his nails too short and his nail was bleeding and to keep an eye on it. Mind you, she did not even trim all of his nails, I had to finish the job. His nail bled on and off for three days. He hasn t had his nails trimmed again since, and the same nail just started bleeding again today. I m concerned she did some damage to his nail. I m absolutely appalled at the service that she gave me and the lack of tact these groomers have. This place is the fast food of grooming.

I ve brought my husky here for over a year now and have never been disappointed. Always easy to get an appointment and I know that she is loved my the staff.

I took my shipoo in for a groom, he came back with nicks in his skin, uneven coat. I know he can be a handful. But the major thing is he cowered for a couple days after and would cringe if you moved your hand fast, he would also cry and snap if we touched his side. Hes never done this before and has me concerned. I will not be taking him back.

My last groomer asked us to find another groomer because my Pup, 1 year old, was experiencing some extreme anxiety while being groomed. Sydnees was great with her. She was a little nervous when I dropped her off. But when I picked her up she was happy and playful, no signs of anxiety at all. I will be bringing both my dogs back.

We recently moved to Park City and we were looking for a groomer that has experience specifically with Bernedoodles. My wife & I received a recommendation from a neighbor to take our dog to Park City Pet Salon. As soon as we walked in door to this place, we knew were in the wrong place. The smell was absolutely horrible and it looked as if the shop had not been cleaned in months. However, since this place was recommended, we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt so we continued with our appointment. When we came to pick up our dog, we were speechless. The haircut our dog received was easily the worst we have ever seen. His hair was long in some places and short in others and it appeared that he never received some of the treatments that we paid for. It looked as if the groomer simply stopped in the middle of the appointment and just decided to quit. His haircut was so awful that we felt that we had to take him to another groomer ASAP to see if anyone would be able to fix it. Being originally from Chicago, we took our dog to Sydnee s in Chicago numerous times and was told that there was a Sydnee s in Salt Lake, so we decided to reach out to see if there was any possibility that they could help us. When we told them about the situation, they were extremely accommodating and said to bring him in the same day and they would fit him into their schedule. When I took him into Sydnee s, I immediately knew that our dog was in good hands. The Sugarhouse Sydnee s has a clean & welcoming environment, along with a Dog lounge for the dogs to roam before/after their grooming appointment. The staff was extremely polite & professional and made us feel extremely comfortable. When I came back to pick him up, I was absolutely amazed. They were able to turn an awful & almost unmanageable haircut into something incredible. His groomerJennie was beyond impressive not only was she extremely professional, but it was very apparent that she spent a lot of time on the details and extremely good care of him. After this experience, I can confidently say that Sydnee s is the best dog grooming service I have ever been to and I m happy to be one of their customers.

Terrible directions. Dont take a u-turn where Google says on 700 E. Instead, turn left onto Willmington, Sydnees groomers is in the building behind the 1st building on 700 E Willmington, on the south side. Park in the parking lot between 1st and 2nd building on the south side of Wilmington. Groomers is all the way to the back, on the South-west side of parking lot. Google has terrible directions!

Jennie is the only person in SLC that can trim my Shiba Inu s nails. Not sure what we would do without her.

UPDATE: Thank you Kim for clarifying it was only $65...BEFORE tax & tip, which you make your customers fill out BEFORE they even see their pet. Save your $$ and go somewhere else. *giving this additional stars because I had a great experience the first time I took my corgi here* I brought my fluffy coat corgi puppy here for his second grooming and was very disappointed by not only the grooming, but by the owner s response. His last groom was done here too, and looked great which is why I returned to get his trim here again. Upon dropping him off, I said he was there for a trim; the person at the front asked the same as last time and I confirmed. The haircut he received was VERY short, not a trim; not appropriate for any long coat or double coat dog (especially winter in SLC). Certainly not the same one he received last time. When I got home I decided to email the business and see what we could do to amend the situation, as I was obviously not happy about having paid nearly $100 for a botched job. I received a very defensive reply email almost immediately. Despite the reference photos I attached of my puppy before, after, and from his last trim there, they insisted they did not do anything wrong but offered to fix anything uneven. Unfortunately I will not be returning here with either of my dogs, as it has been a very inconsistent experience to say the least.

Visually assaulted by the horrible cut they did on my roommates dog. For the sake of everyone you love, take your furry friend elsewhere

My Little Lizzie, has always been scared of grooming, we could never get her nails done. Lizzie seam to bond with the groomer, she came home happy, and beautiful with her nails done! Thank you Sydnees!!!!

They did such a good job with my poms!! It is so hard to find a good pomeranian groomer! (It took 2 nightmare experiences elsewhere before we found this place). My little old man looks the best he has since his fur started thinning. And my lil girl looks like a puppy again. It is so adorable. (Not to mention the cute little bow on her and scarf on him). Sooooo happy! Thank you so much!!!!

Worst experience! Do not recommend! There is a woman named Jasmine who works at this location who is the MOST AWFUL person you could imagine to groom your dog! They cut my dog everywhere and wouldn t let me look at his cuts in their office.

Jen is an amazing groomer! My one year old doodle was in desperate need of a groom after having the summer of her life outdoors. I made an appointment with Sydnee s based on reviews and so glad I did! I m sure my dog was not the easiest to groom, but it s obvious that she was very well taken care of and was happy to be there. So excited to have found our groomer!

Went there for face trim and nail clipping for my puppy, i showed them a picture of his previous groom and they completely messed up his face. Didnt trim his nail correctly either. Super disappointed. Never going back
