The only place that I board my lab. They are very good to him, and their rates are competitive.

Went there to buy some food for my cat and noticed one of the doctors with a white beard yelling at and being really rude to one of the nurses. Not sure what that s all about but seemed a little over the top l

Had to wait for a half hour to get seen after the scheduled appointment.

Diagnoses were correct and my cat is doing better. Thank u!

Staff are rude, condescending and unfriendly.

Good service so far. I visited them for dental service and a fecal test for my dog. I felt the dental service was cheaper compared to other vets and they did a great job. They also have free dental brushing per week, once we do deep cleaning. All staffs are very friendly and my dog loves to visit this place.

Love this Vet and staff. Lisa stands out to go above and beyond to make sure people and pets know that they are cared about! Thank you so much for being the type of vet that people and pets need!

As the poor reviews already left speak volumes along with the terrible responses of the owners. Lisa is the short haired blonde woman with the glasses. She is absolutely disrespectful, unkind, passive aggressive & has the worst people skills Ive ever seen. These are peoples pet. Human errors - more like Lisa should find a new occupation where she doesnt interact with other humans/animals. I have never experienced someone behave the way she does. But shell blame it on anything but herself. Sad as my family has been using this location for over 28 years. The rest of the staff is great but your first experience is with Lisa & the only thing I can say positive about her is she definitely knows how to be the proper term for a female dog. Nobody is perfect but there are plenty of vets that do not have her as an employee.

Original: Went there this morning and was surprised with how they were. We are trying to move our cats overseas and the lady behind the desk went crazy out of her way to help us. She had never dealt with people moving to Taiwan so she meticulously went over the paperwork to ensure everything was correct. This is a complicated process that we were sure was going to suck having to do. While there is still more that we need to do, I was just surprised with how helpful she was. As prepared as I thought we were.... I learned... I had no idea what we were doing. She laid it out for us and told us our next steps. The point being... I was extremely impressed with the staff here. They went above and beyond to make sure things were all lined up for us and we are ridiculously thankful. This has made our experience a lot less scary. Also... we were surprised when they came back with the total. We have called a bunch of different veterinarians and they have all been a lot more than this place. We usually take our cats to the humane society for their inoculations but when we heard them talking to other customers, their prices seemed comparable to the humane society which surprised us a lot. My point is that, I really thought this place might be kinda sketchy just based off of some of the reviews but we were in here for 2 hours getting all of our paperwork taken care of. The whole time, the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was done right.... all the while their phones were ringing off the hook and they were busy. I say that this was awesome that they juggled this all for us. Thank you guys. Edited: 2024 - Both of our cats have been going here for 6 or more years. To this day I still consider this the best veterinarian in Salt Lake County. You guys are amazing and I appreciate everything you do.

The fixed another vets problems

I cannot say enough nice things about these people. I have an elderly dog with many problems and they have taken every precaution needed for her to be healthy. Not only have they dealt with my emotional distress but they ve focused on the real problem with my girl. SO many thanks!!!!l

I took my cat to Alta Vet to be euthanized and it was a very traumatic way for her to exit this world. They put her in a room with other cats that were in a cage covered up with a blanket. It made my cat very upset when she heard them, I dont understand what they were thinking when they put her in that room. Then They moved us to a different room that was next to a room with a bunch of dogs barking constantly my cat was so scared and stressed and if that wasnt enough she was scruffed and restrained inside a net 2 differnt times and sedated 2 times as well all this before being euthanized what cat wouldnt be very stressed out and Angry and upset if they were put in a horrible situation like my cat was. She didnt die in peace like she should have she died scared and stressed out. Those are the last images I have of her she may not remember but I will never forget the last images I seen of my Cat. Then you got the receptionist and owner (Lisa) was not only just flat out rude, but she was a witch with a B in front of it!!!!!! The vet seemed to be very inexperienced almost like that was her first day practicing. Her assistant was the only one that really seemed to care about my Cats well being. So just to sum it all up Lisa is Ignorant and rude ( cold hearted) person!!!!! I give her a minis 5 million stars and I would never think about going there again and I wouldnt even consider recommending there service to anyone not even my worst enemy !!!! In fact they shouldnt be able to practice its a joke. DONT USE THERE SERVICES!!!!!!

If it was possible to give less at stars I would. I have 4 dogs that were patients of this office. I had a euthanasian appointment I scheduled for 3/11, low and behold when some one did not schedule on the calendar to the date I affirmed on the phone weeks ago. Someones clerical mistake put my appointment 3/12. I know for a FACT I would not have made an appointment on 3/12 bc I work every SINGLE TUESDAY until 6 PM. Not only am I trying to send a senior dog off to the rainbow bridge, but I have another dog who is not doing well and I just wanted to know if they could take a look a him this afternoon. However, the rude woman who got on the phone, didnt even allow me to finish a sentence, let alone explain the trouble my beloved pet is having. I have 4 appointments scheduled by the end of March. From reading the reviews, they categorically do not care how they treat the human beings spend hundreds upon hundred of dollars at there office. I have had my animals in for surgeries, spades, shots, all the things. I am appalled at their horrendous treatment of a long time customer with many dogs. I have withdrawn my entire household from their care and will never step foot into their office again.

In the past I ve had nothing but great things to say about Alta Vet Hospital, however my recent experience was quite the opposite. The staff who currently works behind the desk are unfriendly, unkind, passive aggressive and have poor attitudes. I called to reschedule my appointment and received confirmation it was moved to a morning appointment. When I showed up for my appointment the lady (short blonde hair with glasses, no name tag) said I don t see your appointment, who did you talk to when you moved it? , I told her the person that answered didn t give their name, but confirmed it was moved. She then proceeded to tell me that it wasn t on the calendar for that time and the doctor wasn t in yet (my appointment was for 9:15am) and he didn t get in until between 9-9:30am. I asked if she could call him to let him know we were there for our 9:15am appointment and she was extremely rude and said I can t do that, he gets here when he gets here . She didn t attempt to help, problem solve or take accountability for their mistake. All she could tell me was it s a human mistake, we make mistakes. I affirmed that although this is true, it s still the facilities responsibility to correct their mistake and take accountability. She then found my appointment on the calendar and the only thing the person I talked to did was change the day and not the day + time. My poor cat had to take a drive for no reason to come back at my appointment time , which was later that afternoon. Needless to say I won t be showing up for said appointment and I already have another appointment for another vet clinic. If the owner of the Alta View hospital reads this, I hope you take these poor reviews seriously if you care anything about how your business is being perceived and if you care about the people who bring their pets to you. I also highly recommend that you take a look at who you have as your front desk staff and brush up on your people skills as you need those too, not just animal skills. Bad reviews are an opportunity for growth and I hope you see it that way instead of blaming, becoming bitter and continuing to not take accountability for your poor attitudes and mistakes. *UPDATE* As you can see, their response is passive aggressive and I never asked for them to be perfect . They re still not taking accountability and were snooty with their response. I did find another vet and I had a much better experience. If anyone reads this review or any of the other negative reviews, you ll notice a common trend in the way the front desk treats people at Alta. They are unkind, unprofessional, don t understand the meaning of customer service, and are very juvenile in the way they handle things. It blows my mind that any business would have people like this managing the front of house operations when they re dealing directly with people. Do yourself a favor and avoid the Karen-like attitude of the lady running the front desk. **Here s a bit of professional advice - when someone expresses a problem, or is unsatisfied in any way with how things are being handled, maybe try to NOT react like a pubescent child who can t regulate their emotions. Sorry we aren t perfect! is a ridiculous response and something a whiney tantrum throwing child would say. A professional ADULT response would look something like We re so sorry for the miscommunication and error on our part and would love to make this right. We appreciate your business and would love the opportunity to retain you as customers. Please call us as soon as possible so we can work something out . See how easy that was?

They are great! Very caring, they take the time to answer your questions and give you all the important information. I really appreciated that they took the time to share information on what I could do to prevent certain common things happening for my dogs breed. I have been very satisfied with them so far!

Boarding, grooming, vet visits. They know our pets by name, and I love that. They love animals.

This didnt happen recently, but once I took my cat Pudge for an infected cat scratch. They took care of him wonderfully and gave us additional instructions for proper recovery.

I was extremely pleased at how accommodating Kim and Sierra at Alta Vet were recently toward getting my cat Sunshine her rabies vaccination. She is a very difficult kitty to get into a carrier, and they were extraordinarily helpful in getting her an appointment on ultra-short notice. I have been a client for years, and plan to continue that!

I didnt appreciate being made to feel delusional about my dogs life. Vets are so quick to suggest putting older animals with problems down when they have no idea what youre willing to do for your animal. Its more nuanced than that, but well say their bedside manner isnt worth the trip and theyre technically got argumentative with my wife. You dont make assumptions.

When my regular vet wouldnt help me get in to see my sick cat for over a week I decided to go somewhere else. I found Alta vet clinic would see my sick cat the next morning. I found them so understanding and helpful. Thank you you have a wonderful staff.

Most friendly and accommodating staff. They agreed to see me on short notice, and kindly provided a crate for my cat. Their prices are very reasonable, especially when compared to other vets in the salt lake valley. Not only is my cat on the mend, but we were in and out of there within 30 minutes. Take your animals here you wont regret it!

You can really tell they love animals, and everytime I go in with my Rottweiler, they treat him so well and are very quick with everything! My pup hates getting his shots, but the team at Alta Vet make it easy for him, and always make sure hes doing okay before initiating another procedure/any medical care. My go-to veterinary!

Very caring good full service vet, dont understand why the catheter it took twice one in the front right leg then in right rear so he could get two shots my dog was already stressed , he needed to be put down the first shot already put him down second finished him

Vet Tech/Nurse was Sierra I believe - she was gentle, kind, and welcoming and made the visit great. The rest of the staff was professional and direct. having Sierra perform the initial vitals/check was worth the visit alone. Glad I went there - Im confident that whatever we choose for the care plan for my little kitty will be in her best interest and _not_ in the realm of money grubbing (like a lot of other clinics). Thankful they had an opening on a busy Friday!

These trash practitioners will over charge you while they be super judgmental and tell you youre a bad owner of your pets when you take them in for any cause. Took my puppy in for a possible skin infection that had left small bald spots. They told me the dog was abused and attacked the first time I took them in. As I told them how my puppy got her scars, they told me I was wrong and assumed my puppy has a bad environment. Garbage.

I ve never been to this place, but just called to make an appointment. The person that answered the phone was very rude! She said they don t have any appointments available until next week, and didn t even bother to ask me if I wanted to schedule one. She hung up on me while I was still talking. Don t worry Alta Vet staff, I won t be bringing my fur babies to you! I wouldn t want to bring my dogs to a place like yours! :(

They are amazing and caring for our beautiful dog that we put down

I discovered one of my beloved kitties had what appeared to be an infected bum! Newer to the area and also struggling financially, I do not have an established vet. I began calling around the valley to seek advice and help. After 25 plus phone calls, nearly all were booked out for weeks or not accepting new patients. Alta View was the only place that not only took took the time to listen to my situation, but also adjust their schedule to get me in the next day. The nurse was even willing to look at pictures in order to give me her best advice as to what was going on with my cat, as well as what she would do if it were her pet. Additionally, she gave me a range of pricing to help me make decisions because of my financial hardships. This is the epitome of what quality, caring service should look like. I am happy to now call Alta Veterinary Hospital home for my pets care and medical needs!

We boarded our dogs with Alta Vet for a few days. Our dogs loved it and so did we.

They treated my baby for an ear infection and a scratched eye. It was expensive 228.00 but I was ok with that. They had me come back to check and see if meds were working and they tried to charge 45.00 for that!!!! Even human doctors don t charge for follow ups!!!!! The nurse never said that it would cost for a follow up. They called me at home after I left this review. They asked where I want them to send both my dogs records to. Apparently if you write a review they don t like you are out. Right now after the phone call and what was said to me I wouldn t dare bring them back.

Nice staff and Ive never had any issues with. Our French Bulldog needed eye surgery and they did an exceptional job.

My dog has been seen at this vet since she was 2 days old. She jumped off tje bed and really hurt one of her front legs. As always really nice staff. Kind and gentle Dr. A cpl cute dogs wandering around that come up to say hi in the waiting room. Its a smaller office and has a more intimate feel. When we had to put our poor kitty to sleep they were so wonderful. Our whole family was just destroyed by having to make the decision...but they made it beautiful. We had a nice room and we were able to stay with him as long as we needed. Ive been taking animals here for almost 15 years and will continue to do so forever. My little papillons have always been treated as special as they are to me and that really matters

They are so caring. My cat went in or nail care and I asked to clean his ears, come to find PT hes got am ear infection staff was amazing on telling me how to use his medications and how to do preventive care.

My cat buddy has been a patient here and was taken care of last May. Buddy became very ill and I rushed him to this hospital. One of the staff told me they didnt think they could see buddy that day but would check with the nurse. She walked to to the back, I could hear everything they said. They had already decided they werent going to see my cat. With no compassion, no concern for a cat dying in my arms, and with attitude, they sent me away. There was not even a hint of compassion when they did so. I ended up at Animal Crackers and with 25 other cars in the parking lot, they took him in and saved his life.

Prompt with service and advice. Quite pricey though, worth the care they give my dog.

I had a fabulous experience with Alta View Hospital today. My super skittish kitty was going in for a chip. I couldnt get him in a carrier, so they brought out a cat bed to collect him from the car. They expertly put him in the kitty bed and chipped him in about 2 minutes. When they brought him back out, he didnt want to get out of the cat bed, so they let me take him home in in (which proved to be much less tramatic of a car ride) and I brought it back to them later. Overall great experience for something I was dreading with my super scared and skittish kitty!

Took my dog Joey in for red eyes, everyone was very nice and professional. My dog is an old nervous dog, but they made him feel comfortable, they treated him and sent me home with medicine for his eyes, it did wonders for him. Very glad I took him here.

I took my cat Sandy I to get her nails trimmed. The staff were very kind and quick to help me. Her nails where trimmed precisely, and I was only in for 10 minutes. I will continue coming back for any of my cats needs!

My cat became sick overnight. I called them at 8:30 in the morning, and they had me in the office by 10:45 with an appointment to have him looked at. They were wonderful and so compassionate and financially agreeable. This is an amazing animal hospital!

Rio is always taken care of at Alta Vet. They squeezed him in he he hurt is paw and followed up with phone calls to check on his recovery. They are always helpful with Rios care. Thank you for taking such good care of our fur kid.

My husband and I are those crazy people who call the vet for just about everything. The people at Alta are always so patient and reassure us that our dog is fine. On top of that they let us know what can be causing whatever our dog may be going trig and how to treat it!

Our fur babies go there frequently for boarding and also vet care. Place is always clean and friendly and while we are away they send us cut pics of the fur kids. Very reasonable pricing as well.

Vets and receptionist are super judgmental. Took my new dog in for a possible infected wound. (First time and last). My dog had a skin fungus issue when i first got her at 4 weeks. That issue was treated for but had left scars. The vets were telling me with attitude how I need to train and take care of my dogs. I told them the history of my pet when they told me they were certain they dog bites and how she needs to be treated. Bragging almost and telling me with a tone ive been a vet for 15 years. Those are dog bites. Like they know us and how we treat our animal.

Ive taken my dogs over the years to various other Vets but the vets at Alta Veterinary Hospital have been my only vet since I got my dog 5 yrs ago & the reason I like them the best is because they will always tell you the truth & wont just do unnecessary tests & other things just to rack up the bill unlike my previous vet The Sandy Animal Hospital on 9400 south & 1300 east!

I am a former Administrator of several Hospitals and am appalled at the rudeness and incompetence of the owner of this Business along with certain staff members. We are customers who just had our 2 yo German Shepherd Spayed@ 1) During Surgery our dog was given a second ID Chip when one was already placed and they were given advanced documentation regarding the previous Chip, it was placed off her Shoulder instead of between her Shoulder Blades. 2) We were charged more than the original quoted price and when I called and asked the Reception she argued and hung up on me. 3) Orders for Dog food( Science Diet ) were either for Small Breed or not ordered. It took two trips to return the wrong food ( I was told my Dog would just have to eat something else basically to satisfy for their mistake) Not easy to keep changing a dogs diet as owners know. I was literally screamed at on the phone when recently calling about my order when simply asking if it had come in. The owner had just returned from Maui, maybe she should be minding the store. Nurse Emily is worth her weight in Gold, keeps her cool knows what customer service means and is a great nurse. I reported a fraction of mistakes who knows what happens that you dont know. I would NOT recommend this business to anyone if they love their Dog. Establishing trust is so important! Also by the way don t plan to see the same Dr. it doesn t happen, management is making the Physicians look bad!!! Thank you to the staff that have treated us kindly.

No stars for this operation. I called ahead to get prices for testing of two parrots for a needed health check in order to board them. I was shocked at the prices and wrote everthing down. We finally agredd on two tests costing $163 per bird! After the exam which consisted of weighing the birds and scraping poop off the bottom of the cage, the receptionist quoted me a price of $558.00! When I objected she said that I had misunderstood. I had not. She also did not include a charge of $55 per bird for the office visit when she quoted the price for me by phone. This is a very poorly run operation-dont go here,

Staff was lovely! Dr on the other hand was extremely short and rude. We left because he was unqualified to treat our hurt dog. We do have an Irish Wolfhound so I suspect that s the main reason he wanted nothing to do with us. It s okay to be unqualified, and honest about why you can t treat an animal, however treating a dog who is in pain like garbage and his owner the same? Yeah, no thanks! I should have known to take our business elsewhere when I saw the reviews. Work on your bedside manners, bud.

We have taken our service dog here for almost 14 years. He was trained here and cared for by several wonderful, kind and professional staff members. We recently had to put Sam to sleep the staff were very caring & made this extremely hard time a very peaceful moment for all of us. Thank you

In the nine years I have been bringing my cat, Pansy, to Alta View, I have found the cost of care very reasonable. Lisa, Mgr, and all of her staff, have always been responsive, caring and compassionate, to my pet and me, particularly, during the upheaval in routines wrought by Covid 19. They are very friendly, answering all my questions. I just recently started going here. They have what i call the old folks home. Where about 5 or 6 older cats reside. These sweet cats are in their care for different reasons. They are adoptable. To me that show how much the clinic staff truly cares. Great job

I am so disappointed with service of care of this place! I referred my daughter because they took great care of my Dollee. But my daughters dog was obviously having a serious issue. They drove a long way to get there. Were treated rude by the front staff. Her dog was examined and treated and walked out but whatever they did woke up the next day and couldn t walk!! Now has lost all mobility in his hind end and now has to be put to sleep!! Not once has a vet called her!! Not once has the Vet talked to her!! In fact he got a bed sore and they wouldn t treat him because she couldn t afford 3000.00 to get an MRI!! You people should be ashamed of yourselves!!! Duke has been in that little girls life for a long time!! She loves him!!! I thought you were supposed to care about animals!!!

The women who helped my dog were very nice and they were able to get me in the next day and didnt charge me an emergency visit fee.

Thursday my mom decided to take out lhaso Apso to this vet hospital to see if we can do anything to save our dog foxy sadly we could not but my mom said your drs took such care of our little foxy helped her calm down and relax and put her down peacefully in super glad she s not in pain and was in good hands thank you so much we will continue to go here!

They seem a little spendy to me but my spouse makes all the pet decisions in our fam and she loves this place.

My wife and I love the Vet and the Vet Techs here. They are super friendly and sweet! They always give our pug attention and love. We drive for 30 minutes just to get his nails trimmed we love them so much!

The veterinarian and the assistant were a bit snooty, and rude to us. Then they quoted us over $1000 for a spay. Would not recommend.

They botched my pets surgery and are making me and my pet suffer greatly for it. please consider somewhere else

I received a call from Alta veterinary last week concerned about the one star rating I had given them. I told them I didnt even realize I filled out a survey. We had to put our dog down about 4 weeks ago and they were awesome. I have had them take care of our pets for years and I couldnt be more pleased. 5 stars

I would not recommend using end of life services. I went with my parents to put down our family dog and cat today. It was a pretty terrible experience (obviously) made worse than it should have been. The vet was not friendly and after reviewing our brief verbal history and eyeballing our pets he said he was comfortable putting down our dog but was certain our cat had a very easily treatable disease and plenty of life left. This came as a shock after watching him closely over the last few months made us really believe he was very near death. The vet said, Im not going to put down an animal just because its skinny... I felt like he thought we just wanted to kill him for fun. We agreed to do bloodwork to verify the diagnosis. They took him into the other room where we heard him loudly resisting the blood draw, he was very upset. They came and asked permission to sedate him so they could draw his blood, which we agreed to. Meanwhile, it had been quite a while since wed seen our dog (who had been taken back to have the iv placed) and we asked where she was. They had her waiting in the comfort room without us while we waited in the waiting room. We joined her in the comfort room (that was not very comfortable with the trim clawed off the door frames by pets trying to get out). The vet came back in to tell us that he actually LOOKED at our cat to see how yellow his skin was which indicated liver failure and would not be treatable and he could/should be put down. They brought him in, floppy with his eyes rolled back as he had already been sedated to draw his blood to diagnose the totally treatable disease. He was still breathing, but we really didnt get to say goodbye like we should have been able to if he had been examined prior to being sedated. Then the vet began sedating our dog before the euthanasia when there was a knock on the door. One of the front desk staff came to get our credit card... right then... as our dog was going to sleep and we were crying... not afterward or during the hour we sat in the waiting room beforehand... The euthanasia was finished for both pets and we were brought the credit card receipt and left alone to say a final goodbye. We didnt take the time through our tears to look over the itemized bill until after getting home, but it was considerably higher than we were quoted. I really wish we had picked another location to make such a hard day a little more bearable. Edit to respond to misinformation provided (inappropriately) by owner: If youre policy is never to euthanize 2 pets at once that should have been mentioned when I called to say we had 2 pets we felt were ready to be put down and you scheduled them both at the same time. Our dog was seen by another vet 2 MONTHS ago to explore treatment options for her pain and discomfort, but we realized her quality of life was just too poor (which was apparent when the vet saw her so there was no question about treating her). We did not deny medical treatment for our cat when the vet informed us that he could be easily treated, and we were in the process of testing his diagnosis when the vet realized he ALSO had UNTREATABLE liver failure. He said we could pay hundreds of dollars just to go through with the testing anyway to get clear answers as to what was killing him, but that he was definitely dying.

Unfortunately I had to bring my 20 + year old cat to be euthanized. The staff and Dr. here treated me and my dear Scooter cat with kindness and understanding. I feel that they did their best to make a most difficult and painful situation bearable. I was able to be with my Scooter to the end and to have his ashes afterward. It is easy in a highly emotional state to see only the negative side. I had Scooter from the age of 5 weeks old and I cant let the pain of his last days overshadow the joy and laughter he brought us. I am thankful to the people at Alta for doing their best.

I have been taking my dogs here for years and we think they are great, nice and there methods are good.

I had called in the day before and was quoted a price for a surgery, it was $150 more than the other place I had originally scheduled my dog in for but these guys had the availability to get her in sooner so I was willing to pay it. I had scheduling conflicts and had to cancel my appointment with these guys. Called in today to try to reschedule everything and was quoted a very different price which was $650 more than what I was originally quoted the day before. What bugged me was not only the huge price jump because theres no way that an employee messed up that bad in pricing but it was the attitude that came along with it. The lady I spoke to from the get go was short with me, did not allow me to really say everything that had happened & she was so quick to NOT get our business. She seemed very reluctant to even have us in from the get go. So I sadly have to make my dog wait until next week for her surgery when shes already been waiting a whole month because other vets are put out so far ahead scheduling wise. I wish we could have got her in sooner and these guys stuck to what they said the first time around but it is what it is and I definitely do not recommend going here. Honestly I know it was over the phone and I dont know the position of the employee I spoke with but my impression of her attitude after the fact was just a lazy surgeon that did not want to add another surgery to her list & if she did then it had to be worth the lining in her pocket. Thank you but no thank you, an attitude like that gets people no where and no business. *EDIT* After reading reviews this is not the first time & any bad review ends with a snooty response from the clinic that does not take personal responsibility over the issues at hand & honestly a lot of the responses go as far as blaming the person making the review while wiping their hands clean. Read & Review before making your decision on where to go anywhere, anytime, itll make the experience all the better. Dont end up like one of us with another bad experience to add to the list of bad reviews!!

Pet owners beware! Things have gotten weird and sketchy. I ve been taking my pets here since I ve had them, and was never particularly impressed with their services. I don t use them for emergency services, because of this reason, but the less concerning trips seemed reasonably priced and close to home. Not the cleanest looking place either. The TECHS seem good and the VETS I met were alright as well. I hope they get new jobs. Front desk is TERRIBLE. Mainly this lady Lisa? (Who from other comments just might be the owner?) If she answers the phone she won t even listen to what s wrong, just rushes to get done with the call. Doesn t even let you tell her what s wrong. They also are VERY bad at scheduling. Which is where my weird story come up: Had an appointment @ 5:30 (and while making this appointment I double confirmed that they were open until 8 because I worked and wanted to make it with plenty of time) but received a call asking if I could come in at least a little bit early. I said sure! Because I had actually gotten off early, and made it in at a bit before 5. When I got there, this rude lady (Lisa?) didn t even acknowledge me and was heavily distracted with a conversation with a coworker, regarding a ridiculous client & their negative review on google... Then a possible lawsuit... Maybe she saw the look of horror I was trying to hid on my face and finally helped me. But it gets better.. At about 5:30 (my original appt time) a business looking man came in and she got all flustered. They went into a side room, right by the waiting chairs, and they started talking. Well, more like he started talking and she started yelling... At this point I assume it s a lawyer or whatever having to do about what I over heard earlier. All those that read the other comments can probably draw a connection too... So this is where they tank extra hard. I started looking up reviews, on Facebook, and saw the bad ones, with hidden replies from whomever is responding and angry replies from pet owners. Then I saw one with confidential information as a reply, this was the same time I was called back. Why in the hell is this person responding with CONFIDENTIAL information and snooty replies?!?!? No wonder their was a lawyer there! This place is SKETCHY and you should stay away! The replies aren t even justified! I can t wait to see what she has to say about my cats records and what it has to do with this. Anyways I go back finally a little before 6... And wait another 30 to see the vet. She wants to do blood tests and x-rays but doesn t have time since they close at 7.... (Really weird since I double checked they closed at 8, also because of their conflicting google times). They apologized about overbooking, and told me they didn t have anything for the next day either and wouldn t have time to do anything for him and urged me to go to Cottonwood either tonight or tomorrow as it wasn t huge deal. So I do, the care was FANTASTIC and my cat is very happy and feeling better now. They did not charge me for my visit, so I politely gathered my cat and left with a, thank you and goodbye! That I really hope I hid my irritation and sarcasm in. I will never go back and will go out of my way to tell people to stay away!! I think they re in some serious trouble and they way they handle themselves is completely umprofessional.

Alta Vet has always been available to treat my 17 year old shitzu. She has been having seizures. Dr. Dave has her on a daily anti seizure med. She hasnt had any seizures since the med. This staff is for animals. I highly recommend Alta Vetinary Hospital! .

I adopted my dog from the humaine society and this is one of the facilities that will do a wellness exam. They dont tell you what theyre doing or any cost involved. When I got to the front to make a follow up there was a charge and I asked about it and the old blonde lady with glasses snapped at me and told me to go back to the humaine society. Get another job honey youre not made for front end work. I called the humaine society and asked them to take this place off the list.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE OR WAIST YOUR TIME !!!!! Shockingly rude staff who didnt seem to care for an elderly dog in clear suffering who was taken here because her primary could not see her in the time dog needed. Needless to say the doctor did virtually nothing though records were sent over. FIRST TIME VIST WE WILL NOT BE GOING BACK! he did not not seem to care at all like most every other vet who is nice and at least trys. He didnt seem to care though there is something terribly wrong. It seemed he just wanted to do his own expensive tests. As a last resort he pushed my grandmother and grandfather out the door with antibiotics??? When he was questioned on why he suggested such treatment though other vets have advised against such due to her condition. He snapped and told them that they told them she had breathing issues and told them he didnt care either way!

A little expensive, but theyve always been very sweet to my animals. This particular day, they had an emergency situation, so I had to wait quite a while to see the vet. My kitten was just getting some vaccines and he was quite nervous, since it was his first time at the vet. While we waited, the vet tech pet and played with my kitten until he was so calm he started to fall asleep. Of course they were apologetic, but the fact is, the other animal needed more urgent care than mine, so it didnt upset me that I had to wait. The fact that the vet tech stayed with my nervous kitten was very sweet, though, and I believe he went above and beyond.

Horrible customer service!! They were going to see our dog until they found out we had never been there I told her my dog was crying in pain but she really didn t seem to care. Only interested in money I d give this place 0 stars if I could

Helpful staff and friendly

I had a tough experience with this hospital and lost my dear sweet fur baby. The staff was slow in advising me she had passed on the surgeons table, yet I did speak with the owner or one of the owners. Not completely satisfied, yet there wasnt a flaming confrontation and things were sorted out. They are located in an area close to me, and although Sandy City has chosen to impede north bound access to their hospital with a questionable street median, they are doing what they can to carry on. I plan to return to Alta View with my new puppy.

I asked for X-rays and exam for OFA certification. My Great Dane was sedated and it went very well. They were so careful to send in everything that OFA needed and it worked out perfectly. I will be taking my dog to Alta next time she needs a vet.

Alta is a wonderful place. They have taken such good care of our kitties for several years now. We recently lost a cat and Dr. Dave was the best every step of the way.

I had a very bad experience coming here with a lady at the desk. The vet is knowledgeable and caring, but the staff, a rude woman in her late thirties drives me away from here. She was on the phone for 10 minutes while I stood at the counter waiting. I only came to pick up my dog s prescription, and ended it up spending 30 minutes there. She took her freaking sweet time and talked down to me. Never ever ever again will I come back.

I thanks my 2 dogs there for boarding. They treat them very well and they have never gotten sick, unlike other places you can leave your dogs. The vets there are wonderful. My morkie went in for a check up and they were very careful and took their time. Other places will look at your dog for 10 minutes and be out of the room without communicating a thing to you. I am so, so grateful for this vet service. Their prices are the most reasonable I have experienced anywhere. They are always kind with my pets and extremely accomodating with appointments. The veterinarians there are more knowledgeable than any pricey vet offices I have used. Thank you Alta Vet for staying in business. You help many dogs!

I overall have enjoyed my experience here. They have helped me with 3 of my animals over the years. Dr Dave helped send me in the right direction with my pup to see a specialist for his teeth. They have been honest and upfront with me with every appointment. The vet techs are super sweet too! My only complaint is some of the receptionists don t have the best customer service. However, I come from a very customer service job and It s just a pet peeve of mine.

The want to charge you an exam fee every time you bring in your dog. Which is $50 FYI. We just wanted a BORDATELLA shot and they said they couldnt just give them the shot unless they did an exam. They did exam on my dogs end of Oct 2017 and this is Feb 2018. Why would you need to do exam on my dog in 4 months again? No purpose. They try to just get money out of you! I called University Veterinary Hospital and they said they didnt need exam could do it for $22.

Actually I go to Alta Groomery which is attached to Alta Veterinary Clinic. I highly recommend Jolynne. I have taken my dogs to her for over 2 15 years. She does an excellent job.

We recently adopted a cat from the humane society. I am a first time cat owner and the staff was so helpful to educate me on how to keep my cat healthy. They werent judgmental and were very helpful when answering my millions of questions. They were so kind to my cat and so gentle. He was very scared and they took the time to make him and us more comfortable. We didnt know the background of his medical history very well so they took all precautions and checked him out thoroughly. We will definitely be back here and I highly recommend them! PS, Desirae the tech was awesome!

Staff is friendly and service is quick. For some reason the thyroid medicine my dog needs is about twice as expensive here compared to my old vet. So we get blood work and stuff done here (great) but order meds from old vet.

Have been going there for years. Took over my grandsons dog, Nevaeh after I moved into my daughters home. She actually I think adopted took me over . Vet and assistants really know her problems and take good care of her.

I am not sure there is enough words in the English language that can express both how grateful, and very blown away by the service here. This week has been a bit rough, having had to take my 2 year old pitbull into the Pet ER on wednWedne (7/4) to have an abcess drained and the vet there to tell me that he had a rotten tooth which they recommended we should look to get out immediately especially since he hadnt ate since Tuesday afternoon. (no idea why they were not able to get the tooth out right then and there but, whatever). Thursday my husband called around to all the clinics in the salt lake valley and most were booked out till next week. Panicked because he was already two days in of no eating, no dry food no wet food, nothing... He got ahd of Alta and the person there said there was an opening Friday at 9:30 AM. So Friday, I went to work at 5 Am and took a long lunch to make sure he was checked in, and would be handled. (Since it would be a new patient). Some where there was a miscommunication and the vets were booked in operations. I felt a million of emotions I cant really explain exactly which ones were running through my head. TL;DR They squeezed Mercury in and got the rotten tooth out. A follow up call happened this morning and honestly I went to a particular vet for 6+ years and never received this kind of genuine care. These techs, and the vet do. Care. For. Animals. I will never not recommend them. (May just become Mercurys primary care team even if its a long drive!)

Great doc fair price

Wont be returning here for any reason. Brought my puppy here and we found out she has hip dysplasia and they put her on the dog equivalent of ibuprofen. Great, she was doing better. Until she has surgery her condition doesnt change. She is in pain. Called twice to refill the prescription, they finally called me back 3 days later saying that she needed bloodwork for them to refill the prescription. This is such a blatant money grab and wanting to subject my dog for an unnecessary procedure! They have the xrays proving her condition and wanting to get her bloodwork is utter bullsh*t. Their service was poor to start out when we wanted copies of my dogs xrays as well, giving us the run around for 2 weeks before we got the copies. Do not recomend. Take your pet somewhere else.

The employees are incompetent, rude and ridiculously demeaning. If the staff treats people so poorly imagine how they will treat you pet. Dr. Huston was the only redeeming factor and now that she isn t there I would literally go to any other vet besides Alta Veterinary Hospital. Update: The issue that the owner replied to wasn t the problem. I was simply requesting my animals record and they wouldn t deliver it. It had nothing to do with a medication. To Alta Veterinary Hospital, by mentioning medication in this particular situation, you are towing the HIPAA line. I strongly recommend you remove your reply or remove any mention of medication.

I was shocked at how poorly they take care of the pets there. I would never recommend anybody go to them. If I could give negative stars, I would. The staff is extremely rude and uncaring.

First off I would like to set the record straight. Our 6 year old pit bull began throwing up small amounts of liquid on 7/29 I spoke with my cousin(whom works for this horrible establishment) and she spoke to her vet tech Kim and was told to feed her white rice and boiled chicken to help her digestive system. On 8/6 she was still throwing up and I took her into Blue Pearl veterinary ER. Never had she been throwing up for 4 weeks before being seen by a vet (maybe 4-6 times max before we we re too concerned about it). They told us there to get her into our regular vet for x rays and blood work and gave her some nausea medication and a fluid shot to help her hydration. We scheduled their next available appointment which was on 8/11 but she began to reject her food and water and so we brought her in sooner on the 10th and Lisa was a complete jerk to my father in law telling him that we didn t have a scheduled appointment and to take her away until the next day because it wasn t an emergency. We should have then just taken her somewhere else that actually cares about animals instead. However she happened to throw up on their floor and she was able to be seen that day. (Never did Lisa the director/owner apologize once for her behavior). She was taken back and all we were ever told is that she had a foreign object in her intestine that needed to be removed immediately. We told them to please do the surgery. We picked her up the next day and we re given strict instructions on feeding her which we followed to a T. On 08/14 I called in when I got home from work to report that our dog looked bloated and I was concerned and was told to contact Blue Pearl ER because they were closing. I called the ER and they told me to take her in the next morning because they couldn t help us with follow up on surgery only the vet could. We took her in the next day 08/15 and she underwent surgery again. My wife and I called several times to find out what was going on and all we were told is that she had a ruptured stitch in her intestine due to bloating. We were told we could visit her the next day on 08/16 and when we did NO ONE told us anything other than she would be fine and she was eating and drinking fine and would be able to come home in a few days. On 08/18 they called to say she was septic and her liver was failing due to it and she was jaundice and had to be put down. The doctor who administerd the euthanasia literally came in the room and said get over here to our dog and once he gave the shot left the room speaking no other words or shedding any tears! After we put her down SEVERAL people told us they had a similar surgery with a pet and a drainage tube for the intestine was installed and later removed. I began to call SEVERAL other Vet offices and spoke with about 10 surgeons whom all told me that whenever an intestinal surgery is performed that they ALWAYS install a drainage tube as a precautionary measure. I began calling Dr. LiVecchi daily attempting to get a hold of him to ask about this. Always told he was busy and NEVER did he return my call. I finally got fed up and spoke with Lisa who lied to me and told me that I could only speak with him in regards to her surgery. I was told both Lisa and Dr. LiVecchi would be at the office from 9-5 and showed up and neither of them were there they had both left for the day. To make matters even better Kim tried to tell me some false story about our dog which made me even more mad and they didn t even give us our pets collar/ leash or service animal tag back and told me they can t find it. Real professional!!! Dr. LiVecchi FINALLY called me back on 09/17 (a month later) once again REAL PROFESSIONAL!! And he told me our dogs passing was our fault she was septic to begin with and no drain tube was needed and that if we loved and adored her as much as we said we wouldn t have waited so long to bring her in. And hung up on me I called Lisa back to tell her how he spoke to me and she stated that she heard it all and also hung up on me! Never I repeat NEVER take your animal her for any reason!

Weve been there several times great staff...always helpful....and really, really have an awesome doctor on staff. Shes mature...and her years of experience has come in handy knowing how best to treat our pooches!

This is THE WORST place EVER. Do not bring your pets here. The people are SO rude and incompetent. When I got my dog I came here and set up with the initial $200 service plan which included three visits at set intervals so she can stay up on her check ups and shots. Today was our 3rd appt so we brought our dog in and she has been having diarrhea for the past few days, but since we knew our appt was today we figured we would sort it out today. In the meantime we had been giving her plain boiled chicken and rice to help firm things up while we waited for our appt. Obviously we wanted answers why/if our dog was sick, and obviously since being at the vet we figured we could have asked them to please figure out why and to help with what need to do or if we needed to do some kind of treatment. Should we keep giving her the bland diet? How many days is it okay to do this? Should we slowly introduce her normal food back in? Does she have Giardia? What kinds of things warrant an another appt? Anything we need to keep an eye out for so she isnt suffering? The vet ( the man- cant remember his name) WAS SO FREAKING RUDE AND CONDESCENDING. I WILL NEVER EVER EVER EVER bring my dog here again or refer them to anyone. He wouldnt even answer a simple question and said if we wanted- WE COULD MAKE ANOTHER APPT AND BRING IN A STOOL SAMPLE AT THAT TIME. No, we are already here you could at least pretend to check her out. Then he had the audacity to tell us THAT WE SHOULDNT BE TAKING OUR DOG TO THE PARK. UMMMM we arent taking her to a dog park where she could pick up some sickness- we took her to the regular park so we could walk around. Since when arent dogs supposed to go to the park? What kind of vet says that??? We live in an apt, so we dont have a yard- the only option is a park. His whole attitude and demeanor was atrocious- he obviously doesnt care and has ABSOLUTELY ZERO personal skills. I will tell every dog owner I know to stay far away from this place.

Ive been bringing my animals here for close to 10 years. The staff has been professional and friendly each time. Anytime Ive had an issue with my dogs they have either freed up an appointment for me to bring him in or helped me over the phone to get them stable.

The staff was very nice. They sutured my dog without an appointment and did not charge for an emergency visit. The veterinarian and vet tech were calm and nice to my very anxious boy.

They have been great to work with. Theyve looked after my aging dog and made sure hes in good health. They also took great care of my son when he lost his dog to cancer. They check on the dogs regularly when they stay. The vets and staff are very caring.

Let me just say that I have gone to this vet for many years and have recommended them to several friends who continue to go there. This is why its so upsetting to write this review, as Ive never had such a negative experience with a veteranarian. Going in, I was already very concerned about my 4 year olds back leg, as he started limping badly on his back left leg after playing in the snow. I can only assume he slipped (clumsy little fellow), and wasnt putting any weight on his leg. I decided to give him some left over rymadol to help with the pain (the equivalent of Iburprofen) and ice his leg for a couple of days. After the third day (today) I decided to leave work early and take him him for X-rays to ensure he was okay, or get get the information for best next steps. The techs are always wonderful, as is the front desk staff, in the many years Ive gone there. However, I have never encountered something so bizarre with a vet. The vet came in to a very concerned mom and a very nervous and scared pup. Instead of greeting me, he literally just stood there in front of both of us and stared at my dog, for what seemed like a full minute. I finally started to go through the story of why I was there, while the vet ignored me and gave little acknowledgement. I then asked, what do you need? Little acknowledgement was given. He then said, well I want to examine him, but he has to be standing (good to know five minutes in). I got my pup up and started walking him around. Again, silence. I chalked it up to him observing my dog. I asked, so, what now? He said, well..not much. Eventually (about five minutes later) he finally examined his leg and said well need to sedate him to look more. I asked, can we do the X-Ray today....silence......with an eventual lacklucster response of how it may/may not pick anything up and it would be better to sedate him. (My dog is not an agressive, rambunctios dog, so evaluating him then would have been plausible. Trying to fill the strange an akward space of silence, I stated - Im just praying its not a torn ACL. He replied saying - huh.. - Who says this? Because he didnt provide any reassurance, or feedback, or ANYTHING, I then said - if it is a torn ACL, is there an alternative for surgery? He replied - A LIMPING DOG FOR LIFE Yes - he said that. All the while, I start crying because Im having a panic/anxiety attack. NOTE TO DOCTOR: If you have a concerned client/pet owner, please dont say something as blunt and awful, when all they are trying to do is help their dog. I said Ill let them know about the sedation and decided to leave. Anyway, I finally went to the front to pay and told the staff that I was not happy with the interaction. They tried to reassure me, but I doubted the vets skill set and actually asked how long hed been there. Before I left, I asked him if a wrap brace would help (as Id been researching braces on line) and he had no idea that there were braces for dogs ACLs. Needless to say, Im sorely disappointed, especially since Ive been going there so long :( I have lost trust in this vet.

I took my 15 year old cat here to be put down, this was my first experience with this vet. (I love my vet, but their pricing allowed me to get her ashes) they were so kind and considerate during one of the worst moments for a pet parent. My husband got stuck at work and they waited for more than 30 minutes for him to get there. They checked in to make sure I wasnt waiting on them. They were so understanding and assured me that waiting for him was not a big deal. When the time came, I was able to hold her through the the sedation and euthanasia shot. (which went into a preplaced catheter) Both took effect immediately, there was no waiting, no worries about needing another dose. Then they gave us as much time with her as we needed. Thank you to the staff and vet who made this heartbreaking moment so comforting. Also, if you were the person in the lobby who offered a hug and let me cry, thank you. Your compassion touched my heart and I needed it more then you could know.

Not sure if theyve diagnosed my cats problems correctly tooth tartar shows up underneath a black light in color of pink and I have a black light and her teeth are white and they wanted to pull her teeth on the other hand that they did give her antibiotics free food and got her rehydrated.

They are great with the animals! They obviously love their job and love what they do. Theyve helped us with the good and hard parts of dog ownership.

If theyre not your vet, they need to be! I cam across these guys because I wasnt able to get into my normal vet for an emergency. The fact that these guys worked my puppy into their schedule was the first sign that these guys care. We were lucky enough to get Dr. Huston! Let me tell you, she is the most amazing Veterinarian I have ever met! She took the time to answer all my questions and explained everything in great detail. Its always nice when a doctor doesnt rush you and makes you feel like you matter. The staff there is great as well and shows so much love to the pets. I was lucky enough to stumble upon these guys, but they are now my regular vet!

Our pup had a fractured toe and 1 hour after getting him home from getting his splint put on, it slid right off. At least they re-did it free of charge and it stayed on a lot better, just wouldve been nice had it been right the first time.

I took my cat there to get shaved. She was in so much pain she didnt walk right for a few days. There were knicks and cuts all over her.

Used to love taking my dog here. But now that Dr. Huston is gone. Its not worth the travel. The new Dr. Always seems like he doesnt care. The helping staff has always been good to me and my dogs I just wish they had a more caring Dr.

Can I just say that the experience that we had here was so unexceptionable. The front desk girls are the most unfriendly staff I have came across. We went to get our puppies second set of shots to find they wouldnt do them because they had their first set at 6 weeks. All other vets do the second set of shots at 10 weeks of the dog has had them at 6 weeks. After waiting 30 minutes in a hot clinic, and not clean at all, we walked out. They charge 78.00 for the shots when you can go to Willowcreek Vet for 55.00. It sounds more like they are out for money and not the true care of the animal. I guess their front staff truly shows what kind of an establishment this place is. Very sad. Also, when we made the appointment they knew the puppies had their first shots at 6 weeks and never said anything we were told when we went in.

We have taken our dog to the same vet for 15 years. They suddenly closed. I found Alta and couldnt have been more pleased. We had to make the difficult decision to euthanize our dog. Having never been to this office we were a little nervous . You would have thought we were life time patients. We were greeted by Marveen - she could immediately sense the emotional experience this was going to be for us. She was kind, sensitive and explained each of the steps we would take and helped us along the way. She was kind to my son as he held our dog through the entire experience and let him take all the time he needed. I was pleased with all they did to make this hard day more bearable. A few days later we received a sweet note from the hospital expressing condolences. They couldnt have been more genuine and helpful

I got a call from my ex, and he was furious. He told me he went to pick up his dog from a grooming that while waiting he heard his dog yelping and a smack. (If youre a dog owner you know what your own dog sounds like). He called animal protective services where they begin an investigation. It gets worse, during the investigation the employee who smacked they dog claimed shed been bit. (Curious that she didnt tell my friend, the owner of the dog, that shed been bit). Instead of APS looking into this employee they are now wanting to evaluate the dog for allegedly biting the employee. Also curious that my friend reported to APS first, not the company, when youd think it would be the companys protocol to call the owner and report it when an employee is bit. I ask, does this sound shady to you? Does this sound like a responsible company who genuinely care for your animals? If your are looking for a place to board and receive grooming and medical attention for your animals I recommend Amor Animal Hospital in West Jordan.

I am so happy to have been recommended Alta View Veterinary Clinic by a dear friend! I was in panic when my 4 year old Mr. Milo cat was not doing well and realized he needed urgent Veterinary care! Dr. Howard & his entire staff are Angels! I have learned so much about food choices and preventative care to help my little dude not ever get this sick again. Thank goodness his diagnosis is not severe but he definitely needs to be monitored. He is not obstructed due to his UTI and is now on Science Diet and antibiotics to help him feel better. I am so happy to have found this Veterinary hospital and it will now be home to Milo for his future care and needs. Thank you Dr. Howard and Staff!

I take my dog there. They are caring and patient with the animals. When we go out of town we board him there, and they send us pictures of what he is doing.

My cat Helen was very sick, and I had no idea what to do. I took her in and they were very helpful and took care of her right away!! They were very thoughtful and kind, and explained everything that was going on, and also were also concious about explaining prices and only charging for what was needed. Thanks for helping us out! Very happy with my experience at Alta Veterinary! I had to take my cat in for stitches due to an injury from another animal. They had him in and out, and he recovered quickly! It was actually hard to keep him from being playful! He healed well, then went in for the stitches removal today. It was so quick and they were so good handling him, especially being a cat. They also understood my financial circumstances and were willing to work around that, which I appreciate most!

Very friendly staff to us and our pet. Honest and upfront with cost and what they were planning to do. Awesome job to listen and to answer our questions. We will be returning.

There was a miscommunication with one of the nurses there. They are a good vet and provide the services needed for my puppy they are kind people and want to do anything to make your viset more convenient for you.

My family and I have had some very bad experiences with this clinic. My parents took one cat there that ended up dead with a misdiagnosis after being tortured. Another cat was just suppose to be given fluids and ended up dead.. My mother in law just had to put her dog down after giving her old dog Front Line from this clinic. Lisa, receptionist/owner, told her that her dog would be fine taking it even though he was old and in bad condition and he ended up paralyzed and in horrible shape after taking this medication. Lisa at the clinic would not give my mother in law the package of the med. even though she requested it to read the side effects before she gave it to her dog and stated she needed it for the other two vials... Lisa, the receptionist/owner, didnt recognize the sample bugs that my mother in law brought in but still advised her to treat her old dog with the FrontLine. It ended up that her dog didnt even have fleas, which they never bothered to tell us, we found out after the dog was dead that it was dog lice, another misdiagnosis. This dog was old and going to be gone soon, but absolutely not like this!!!

My kids and I have had to put 2 cats down. One was only 2 years old and had sudden liver failure. The other was my daughters cat for 13 years - sinces she was 4 years old. Both times we took the cats to Alta. The staff was very compassionate and the doctor was very kind and allowed us all the time we needed. They have always been caring and supportive when we have taken in our animals. I have had no problems with them and I am very grateful to them for their compassion and sensitivity to our situation and to my kids.

Really confused on the couple of negative reviews, they didnt even give their names. I have done business with Alta since 1981 after moving from out of state and have always found them to be very professional and concerned about the pets well being. They may not be the least expensive but by far are not the most expensive. Ive been willing to pay the higher price based on the service and care given my dogs and cat. I have found Lisa and the other techs to be very knowledgeable on care and advising estimated costing upfront. I have heard them give customers information on where to go for financial assistance when needed. They have helped me thru some tough times with my dogs having lost 4 over the last 30 years and they have been very compassionate each time. They are very involved in community items both with and without your pets. Ive found that pricing for their food items are close to the large pet chains. Yes their kennels are not the luxury kennels but have always been clean and yes I pay to have more time with my dog when boarding. Check out some of the kennels that charge an arm and leg and then yes those items may be included. Sorry this is wordy - keep up the good work Alta. You will always be my Vet.

Ive been a customer of Alta Vet since 2006 and Ive never regretted taking my cats and dog to them. They treat my pets very well and have lived up to my expectations. For example, we adopted our dog through them. The adoption included a number of free dog training lessons and microchipping. I thought the price was very reasonable and I was really happy with the training. Another example was with one of our cats who had many, many health problems. He ultimately passed away, but Alta Vet was great in helping us make good (and tough) decisions and also properly treating him.
