Very informative, but i left feeling like an idiot and a failure to my dog, and a bad owner who doesnt know my dogg atall even though Ive been in the pet industry 33 years..I didnt get 1 bit of encouragement... just a bunch of Im doing everything wrong...Ive come to the conclusion every dog trainer thinks that their way is the best way, and since me as the pet owner is there for help I must not know anything

I was at my last ounce of patience with Sadie and I decided to get her enrolled in the doggy daycare program and my anxiety level went from a 9 to a 2 after the first day. I think the program was more for me than it was for Sadie. I would highly recommend Utah K9 training to anyone who wants to lower their anxiety level with their pup!

Carlos recently trained our Golden Retriever puppy, Bronco, and we were blown away by the progress made over a short 10-day period! Bronco, like most Golden puppies, was a menace to society before working with Carlos. The chewing and mouthing was out of control and our words had no value. He came back a totally different dog. He listens to us, he knows commands, he walks well, he rarely nips unless we get him really riled up. I can t say enough good things about Carlos and I loved that this was all positive reinforcement training. We re looking forward to bringing Bronco back for the follow up course once he s six months old. Thanks a million Carlos!!!

I had to cancel my registration, but already paid for the class. Very friendly and no questions asked when I called for a refund. Very nice and pleasant to work with! I wish there was a good place in northern utah that provided this kind of service!

We LOVE Utah K9 Training! Our two adult, adopted dogs went to the month-long camp (4 all-day lessons). The first day we saw such an improvement in their behavior, it would ve been worth the cost of the entire camp just for the first day of training. The staff was great about modifying their lesson plans to meet our dogs behavioral needs. One of our dogs was already great at sit, stay, recall and house manners, but has terrible socialization skills. So, they modified the curriculum to involve 2 days of walking through the park and working on being around other dogs.

Great trainers that take time to explain what and how to do things. They also teach why its important for you and your dogs success.

We started training with our 4 month old German Shepherd in January and the progress was amazing. Utah K9 Training provided us with usable tools to have a happy home with our puppy. Each week we learned new skills that built on the past week of training during the foundation course. We look forward to further training course with Utah K9 Training.

I paid for training for my dog in February 2021 and had my dog scheduled to board and train in April. I havent received any communication with this company since they took my money. Ive contacted them multiple times through email, texts, and phone calls nothing. My dog hasnt got trained and they havent responded to me at all regarding getting my money back. I paid almost $2,000 to them. That is not a little amout of money and Im a single mom so its been very frustrating. I just want a refund so I can go somewhere else. DO NOT GO TO THEM FOR DOG TRAINING. They are unprofessional.

Mike was extremely helpful and knowledgable about training my puppy. His techniques worked almost immediately and he also gave great tips and suggestions for future progression. I am SO glad we found K9 training and will be using his services again.

I had read great reviews so I decided to send our Dog to him for a boot camp. When we arrived, I was surprised to see that the dogs live in kennels outdoors. No grass. Just dirt. It was incredibly hot too. Our dog s (puppy at the time) problem was not coming when called and jumping up on people. They put our next to a huge violent dog with significant issues who was not allowed to interact with other dogs or humans. He assured me, he wouldn t leave our dog with him. But he did. I truly believe our dog was traumatized and has never been the same since. He is scared of other big Dogs now and whimpers when we go to out the training collar on. I feel horrible wondering what he went through. He came home dirty and scared. He is 25 lbs and extremely docile. I would never recommend or use this company again. We trained out dog without his methods and prefer that. Not to mention, we had him install an e-fence around our yard that broke and when I asked about warranty or repair, he simply stated he doesn t do that anymore. I had to call another company and buy an entirely new system.

I can t say enough good thinks about K9 training. They helped us figure out how to work with our dog. Helped us channel our super hyper dogs energy. Gave us all the tools to make sure we had a great dog. If you even have a doubt about what you re doing with your dog come here. You won t regret it.

This training class has been such a positive learning experience for both myself and my 8 month old lab puppy. Highly recommend!!

I ve learned a lot during my puppy 101 class. Everything is explained in a way that makes sense. So it sticks and I can apply it when I practice with my puppy at home. I would highly recommend.

I had no idea who to call to get started on training for my new puppy. I reached out to Mike at Utah K9 Training and he was responsive and friendly. We are 2 lessons in and having so much fun! WOTH EVERY PENNY!! We did the two week board and train program and it was amazing how much our 7 month old lab learned in that short time. Mike is an amazing trainer not only did he get our dog on the right track (he can sit, stay, lay down, walk off leash, no more jumping on people) but he sent us home with the right tools and a plan. We could not be happier with the transformation. I just cant say enough about Utah K9.

My dog is very reactive with other dogs. We took him to Mike, because I have some mutual friends who have used his training programs. I m definitely not disappointed he trained us on how to train our dog. He is very knowledgeable, very professional, and we are going to continue our training with him.

Mike did a great job. He had our 9 month old Rottweiler (Rogue) for 2 weeks. He sent us video weekly of Rogue being trained and performing. On week two the video was of Rogue in a store with many distraction. He had Rogue on a leash as well as off leash. very impressive

Mike at Utah K9 Training came highly recommended by a dog breeder wIth many years of experience. My young spirited pup & I have had 3 lessons so far. Mike gave us easy, straight-forward basic commands to practice. He helped me take control, plus he shared tons of helpful tips & other info. My pup was not behaving like a good boy when around other dogs and while on the leash. On our first visit he informed me of the reasons why he would behave like that and how we would work to fix his behaviors. We practiced leading on the leash and it was like instant change. When I got home and walked him to my apartment there was no pulling or trying to get ahead of me. It was wonderful. I highly highly recommend Utah K9 training.

Mike simply changed our dog forever. We have a mini bernedoodle and she was a smart girl but not very well trained. She always pulled on the leash, she would chew anything she could find, ANYTHING, and she had zero loyalty to us, she would always run around to see other people and never come when called. We did the 2 week board and train, and Winnie came back the perfect dog. She doesn t need a leash ever, and we only use one when it s required. She stays right at our hip, will sit or lay somewhere until we tell her it s okay to leave, it s remarkable! She has lost all her bad impulsive behaviors, while maintaining her fun loving personality. We have recurved doh these compliments from friends and strangers alike about how perfectly well she behaves. We brought her at 6 months old, which is pretty young, but it had paid off 1000 times over already. Any future dog I have will go to Mike, for sure!!!

I signed up my dog for the 4 week doggy day camp. Working with Mike was great! He was quick and responsive to every question and concern I had. And my dog, Goose, is like a whole new dog!

Mike did a fantastic job helping us with our Labradoodle and Newfie Poo. He took them from undisciplined and unruly to well behaved. He also was able to educate US on what were were doing wrong that was contributing to the problems and issues. He gave us solid training and skills to get the best out of our doggos! We will be back for more training in the future.

Brought my dog Rex who was gotten from Rescue and had no training at all. He was a handful and in 4 all day sessions he turned Rex into a dog that is a pleasure to be with and have around our home. Mike gave me the dog I wanted.

There arent enough good things to say about Mike!! From the incredible training that made our dog our familys favorite to having her love to be boarded there!! He is all in when it comes to follow up help!! I tell everyone if you have a dog its got to be trained by Mike. Mike has been an excellent Trainer. Listens to your questions and tries to explain different ways of training. Has been an excellent experience so far.

He is fantastic! My dog has been helped so much by his services. I first went down to have my dog get shock collar training because he knew some tricks and commands such as lay down, sit, come, etc. When he first analyzed my dogs behavior he explained that my dog was anxious and would have trouble following more commands. And also that he wasnt very into me, because my dog just loves everyone and everything. He expressed I should do dog basics first. So over the next couple of weeks we worked with the relationship I have with my dog, and certified new commands. Now I am at the shock collar training, and my dog dosent really even need it for how good the basic training was. He is straightforward and will help you learn how to train for your dog better! I definitely recommend!

Came to Mike with both of my dogs, one adult and one puppy. It was great! We signed Sadie up for the Day Camp, and Id highly recommend it. Its nice knowing shes working on training all day, and coming in at the end of the day to learn what shes been working on. Even after the first day, she already was listening and behaving so much better! After four weeks, I feel so much better about my skills and her progress.

Mike was great with Hercules! When I first dropped hercules off (golden retriever) he was a wild child who pulled on the leash every time i d walk him which made walking him really dreadful because he is more than half my weight at 70 lbs. Also he barked a lot and didn t really know his strength. With the price we were a little skeptical just because it is an investment but it was worth every penny and it s also a lifetime guarantee! 2 weeks later I went to pick him up and he was well behaved and listened to all his commands! I now can take him on walks without the fear of him dragging me and he is like a whole new dog! I definitely recommend sending your dog here! you won t regret it! also Mike sends video updates and you can see the progress even while you re not there!

Mike is an amazing trainer. We have such control over our dogs now - they come immediately when they are called, regardless of the distractions.

I have a 2 year german shepherd that I have had since a puppy. When we first got him we took him to training and petsmart and then the AKC. At the AKC we had a negative experience and decided to look for a professional trainer. After doing our research we decided to work with Mike. Working with Mike was the best decision we made for our dog and us. Before our shepherd was out of control and becoming aggressive towards dogs and people. We weren t even able to walk him anymore with out him pulling and lunging at everyone and everything. After the 8 week session we now have a dog who is in our control and is respecting us as his owners. Mike gave us the tools and confidence to regain control of our dog and taught us the importance of keeping up with his training and exposing him to more elements. We regret not starting with Mike in the first place!

We did the puppy boot camp and our stubborn pup is FINALLY potty trained, has basic commands and obeys!!!! I have 4 children, so training a dog was difficult! After boot camp, Mike taught me the commands and how to continue training and working with our pup. It s been about 6wks since he left boot camp and he still is trained, obeys commands and we have gotten multiple compliments on how well behaved he is!!!

Mike is the Dog Whisperer! Our dog Albert was already amazing (at least we thought so) but he started getting more daring and running away when he got out and acted like sled dog when we took his on walks. Now, it s just amazing how he loves his training collar and reacts to it. We call it a translator... it s like when it s on, we can finally understand each other! Truly amazed and so happy. Don t even think twice, just take your dog to Mike. You will wonder why you didn t do it sooner.

We brought our Goldendoodle puppy here for training and it was 100% worth the money! Mike was great and helping us train our dog and to help us learn how to continue to help her become a better dog. We plan to bring her back for continued training in a few months.

You wont be disappointed!! The board and train was the best option for us. Mike asked the questions as to what results we are looking for and we were amazed with the outcome. I loved the way he kept us in the training process with videos that not only allowed us to see our puppy during the two weeks, but use as a reference, as well as watch techniques and progress of our Great Dane. Before our dog could not be taken off leash, would pull, as he is 130 pound puppy and was difficult to redirect. Now, with the right education and his training we are in heaven as we continue to build on what Mike has done. Mike thoroughly explains what we as the parents need to do to continue the strong foundation that he has built over the past two weeks, is always available for questions and I love that if needed help in the future he is there!!! I highly recommend Utah K9 Training.

We came home with a new dog after Utah K9 Training! So impressed with the process. Our 7 month old Goldendoodle would hardly listen to us, but after the two week training camp and lots of reinforcement at home, he is next to perfect! I cannot say enough AMAZING things about my training experience! They took my almost feral rescue dog and built up her confidence and obedience so well! She no longer requires a leash and is able to go out in public and has no issues. I recommend them for any dog needs! I was well listened to, taught, and got exactly what we need to be successful. The training is top notch and you can tell they know their stuff! 10/10 would recommend to anyone listening!

They told us our dog wasnt trainable. At least they were honest about it and gave us a full refund. But we have him with a different trainer and hes doing awesome. Definitely trainable.

Raelene has been great getting me through the puppy stages and with a couple issues thrown in there. She responds very quickly to texts, emails and voicemails. I can t wait till get started on the regular training program and hopefully ending with a fully certified service dog.

I have really enjoyed talking with Mike and having him train my dogs. He understands both my 2 headed beast and is patient with me, as Ive now taken over the training. I hope to keep working with him in the future.

Mike has been amazing helping us with our aggressive dog, Rylo. Before, Rylo was extremely reactive towards not only other dogs, but also people. We tried training from Alpha k9 training, but it didnt help. We then sent him to Mikes Board and Train for 2 weeks and the difference is night and day. He now heels, listens very well and ignores other dogs. Today, I was able to go on a hike with Rylo off-leash at Tanner Park, which has many other off-leash dogs. He sometimes slips up and reacts to the occasional dog, but he will listen when I call him off. Make sure you do everything that Mike teaches you, even with the Board and Train you need to follow up! Training a dog is a commitment, but is totally worth it!

It was good seem to know dogs. Not pushy.

I was honestly very disappointed I was very excited thinking my dog was going to be a whole new dog which she in fact she did become a whole new dog that is afraid of strangers as well as a simple leash On my second session mike had a little incident with my Belgian malinois mike tells my puppy what to do he then goes to give her the treat and he dropped it my puppy then goes to pick it up and mike decided to take it away my puppy then nipped on him mike picked her up off the floor she was chocking my dog so bad she could nearly bark he then grab his other hand puts her to the ground and restrains her down by the neck my dog by then is trying to fight back and get away ever stepped on a dogs paw by accident yeah you know exactly that sounds like now think of that soundx100 for about 3 minutes straight at the point that was enough for me I had to tell him that s enough that s not a way a dog trainer should handle a dog in this situation to let go of my dog at that point my puppy was still fighting back and was about to get away he gets up grabs another pressure leash and puts it on my dog by then was scared for her life she was shaking tail fully tucked in between her legs he then decided to continue trying to work with her and again she did what she was told not cause she wanted to but cause she was in fear she did not take a single treat from him after that she had her tail tucked in for about 30 mins till the second he handed me the leashe he honestly traumatized my puppy I was bearly getting her to socialize her other people now she is afraid of ever new person she meets now she just grows at them if she sees me grab a leash she will just tuck her tail and go in her kennel It was honestly shocking the way he snapped on a 7month old puppy mike were you really that mad a 7month old Belgian malinois was smarter then you?

The board training was definitely worth the investment for us! Mike was great. Our 7 month old Sheepadoodle is on her way to being a better-mannered dog than I could have ever asked for.

We love this trainer. Our 10 month old border collie was a good dog for the main part but was showing some serious neurotic behavior towards cars and fences. Now she is so well behaved around everyone and everything! Mike taught us how to keep her in place, walk on and off leash and to actually stop in her tracks when we tell here come. Mike is a highly skilled professional and very sensitive to your dogs particular needs and personality. Worth every penny.

Mikes training techniques are awesome. It was so worth the 2 weeks away from my dog to have him walk without a leash and know all of the commands. People are amazed how well behaved my high energy German Shorthair Pointer is at only 8 months old!

Pleased to get the info I needed

We contacted Off Leash for our Koda. A long hair German Sheppard that is 13 months old, stubborn as can be, almost cant take anywhere because he is going to see something and off he goes. We love this dog but he was very frustrating and we werent sure if we were going to be able to keep him. We are a little older and he is very strong. We tried a few other trainers and they did not work out at all. Finally called Off Leash and spoke with Mike. He turned the training of Koda over to Rae. After 2 weeks we got Koda back, he is fantastic. We can take him places and he walks with us and doesnt pay attention to the other people and dogs around him. His confidence is higher, he plays with other dogs better. It is just amazing and now he is fun to train with. We highly recommend Off Leash..Great results. George & Kathy Stone Sandy, Utah

I had Mike help train me and my two pit bulls. Mike is very friendly and knowledgeable about what it takes to train dogs. I was very happy with our training lessons. We had done the four class training and wow what an improvement it has been. I liked that before we even hired him he had told us that WE needed to change in order to train our dogs. He doesn t sugar coat things. He is direct and polite. He Charges an affordable price, he accepted 4 payments in total which was just great. Our puppy has been to week one of a two week Puppy Boot Camp at Off Leash K9 Training. She has mastered The Art of the Leash and now Mike, her trainer, is working on her incessant barking. She s just 6 months old so we don t think she ll be ready for The Doggie Big-Top Circus, but her integration with other dogs will continue to help her become more socialized. We love Off Leash. Our adult kids sent their dog for some training and he is an amazing dog now! We recommend Off Leash to anyone with a dog, 6 months or older.

We have a German Shepherd that was 7 months old when we signed him up for training and we are very pleased with the results. Blitz went from being a very unruly puppy to a great companion for our family. Mike was very patient during the training process and was able to show us how to focus Blitzs endless energy into training. It is great when we are with other dog owners and they compliment us on how well our dog is behaving.

I sent an email on information about off leash expecting an email reply, instead I received an actual phone call which made me feel like they cared about me and my questions. I cannot wait to work with off leash!

Well worth the money. Not an expense, an investment into the confidence of my dog. Mike did a fantastic job! He is very patient, trustworthy, and knowledgeable. My pup gained another best friend in Mike. She is still a puppy, and needs continued training by is, her owners, but Mike set that foundation up, and he took the time to teach us how to continue our dogs education.

Off Leash K9 Training is unbelievable! I took my 6 month old German Shepherd/Husky mix puppy for a 2 week board and train and the results are amazing. Before the training, she was rambunctious and wouldnt always listen to commands. She would jump on visitors and taking her for walks was a nightmare. Fast forward two weeks, and she now listens to commands. We go on walks without a leash and she stays right by my side. She loves training time everyday. Throughout the training we received almost daily updates of how everything was going. The trainers at Off Leash really care about the animals and I think that is why they are able to make such a difference. You will not be disappointed if you choose to take your dog here.

WE SIGNED UP FOR MIKES 8 WEEK COURSE BECAUSE OUR DOG WAS SUPER AGGRESSIVE AND COMPLETELY UNMANAGEABLE. LEWIS (OUR DOG) HAS MADE A 180. HE LISTENS TO US, WE ARE ACTUALLY ABLE TO WALK HIM AND HE IS SOOO MUCH EASIER TO HAVE AROUND PEOPLE. WE COULDNT EVEN HAVE ANYONE OVER TO OUR HOUSE BEFORE BECAUSE WE COULDNT CONTROL HIM. HATS OFF TO MIKE SEELY AND HIS TRAINING SKILLS. WHEN YOU ARE FRUSTRATED AND HOPELESS, CALL HIM. ITS WORTH IT!

Great experience! Our 1 1/2 year old German Shepherd is an angel now. We had some behavior issues with her not listening around other dogs or distractions. She is 100% off leash now! We take her camping, she goes on walks without a leash and is so tame now! I never thought she would be this good. She is so obedient and we are so grateful for that experience! I would recommend this service to anyone!
