I have an anxious dog, and grooming is difficult, with some really negative experiences. Not only does my dog get good grooms here, I wasnt criticized but instead offered support and tips which made it so much better

Our groomer, Aletha, is amazing! Pudra was scared to go to a new facility but she sent me a video of him settling in once he realized she was there there is no one else I d trust with him being a big ol 80lb husky!

This place is soo cute and the paintings on the windows are adorable!!!!! Our favorite groomer left pet smart and came here so we had to follow her!!! I forgot her name but she has a couple cute facial piercings and I think black and green hair:) I love her!!!!!!

A New place. Quite a selection of dog, an cat foods, at good prices, friendly staff, the also do grooming, dog an cat claws, glands, ect ...While I was there several people were bring in the animals to ne groomed... Ill go there again ...

Been shopping here for 5 years, working here for a few months. Owners are phenomenal and really care about their customers, employees, and all the animals that walk through the door. The pricing in the industry for grooming and dog supplies has changed a lot over the last year and the owners work very hard to keep costs low and still provide the best possible service. Ive always loved shopping here but I ve learned so much more about parts of the animal business working here and I m really grateful for the effort the grooming team and owners put in to keeping the environment positive and keeping customers satisfied!

However she has left grooming. The groom this time as of 4/5/24 was Jessie, horrible job she should not be classified as a groomer. Sloppy Uneven work on fur lots of long hairs all over, very uneven near sanitary area, big chunk fur missing from top of head looks rushed, blood spots from trimmer nicks. No longer recommend.

Not super pleased with our first experience here. We took our siberian husky and were never contacted that his appointment was done. We decided to go to the store over 4 hours after the start of the appointment and he was done, but still had yet to receive a text call or email. He smells great, but there are clumps of hair still falling out of him as if he wasnt deshed all the way. On top of that, when the appointment was booked, it was just for the Siberian Husky option for $85, and ended up being charged $130 - now that their services menu has changed conveniently of course. Not sure we will be returning sadly.

Always caring and my dogs love Leesa (the groomer) too. She does a perfectionist type job. Love it.

We get our dogs groomed there, and they do an extremely good job. They sell a good variety of wholesome good treats that are good for your animal its a nice shop and we will continue going there.

They are so nice. They ground my dogs nails and did a wonderful job with him. They are really quick too.

i will never bring my cats here again. my cats appt was at 1:30 for a bath, brush, & cut. when i dropped him off they told me it would take 2 hours. i go to pick him up at 3:30 and after i pay, they tell me he s not done and it ll be another hour. one worker told me he had his bath & he just needed his cut. so i asked to just take him because i had plans and could not pick him up in an hour. the girl at the register doesn t apologize or offer me a refund, she asks if i want to come back in the morning. i ask her how long it will take and she said 2-3 hours. once i get my cat i see they didn t even do anything to my cat. he apparently sat in his carrier for 2 1/2 hours without being worked on. so the worker lied to me about having done his bath. he sat in the back for 2 1/2 hours stuck in his carrier listening to dogs bark. when she said he would take another hour, she said she would go back and help her co worker finish up. when i walked into the store to grab him because i wouldn t wait, she was on her phone at the register. when i get him in the car i see his collar is gone. i go back in and ask for it and they state they never took him out. neither worker offered a sincere apology. when we walked out the worker said to call if we want to reschedule. such a joke, i will never ever return here.

EDIT: Editing my review as per the reply from the store - thank you so much for the refund, I wasnt expecting a full refund but you did it anyway. Thank you, I appreciate your response and service very much. ----- I really hate leaving bad reviews but I just spent so much money that I had to leave feedback. I spoke with the groomer ahead of time on what I wanted for my dog, and i specifically told her not to shave the fur between my dogs toes, and she did. Not a huge deal but still. She also did not clean her ears, which is usually included in basic grooming. Sure, my dog looks clean. But I was charged $100 for just a de-shedding bath, nail clipping, and paw fur trim? Maybe I didn t check the prices online first or really understand all that went into the services but if I knew it was literally just a mail from, bath and maybe a brush for $100, I d have done it myself.

Great pet grooming facility.

They made room in their busy schedule and groomed my hyper little dog to perfection.

First let me say that I think Dawgs and Whiskers did a fantastic job of grooming both my Lhasa and mini poodle. They were super careful with my Lhasas dewclaws too (not an easy task when their hair is long). The staff is warm and courteous and I like that the dogs werent kenneled to dry off. Im a typical over-protective dog mom and searched for months to find a good groomer for my dogs. We used to go to the Utah School of Pet Grooming but the last time they did such an awful job on my Lhasas coat and only took them almost at closing time (even though Id taken them as it opened for their appointments.) So I was looking for a new groomer and after calls to dozens of places I settled on Dawgs and Whiskers, both because of the great reviews and because of their decent pricing. So why the 4 stars? Because they accidentally cut my dogs ear and couldnt stop the bleeding. They handled this entire fiasco SO well and the only thing I wish theyd done differently is to have called me as it happened. However, when I went to pick them up, the owner took full responsibility, apprised me of the situation and told me they would cover all vet bills. She also refunded me the Lhasas haircut. I rushed him to the vet and as promised the owner covered the bill. The vet didnt have to stitch up the wound as a clot had finally formed but they warned me that if it broke I was to bring him in immediately for stitches. The owner of Dawgs and Whiskers was so kind and told me theyd cover any other vet bills pertaining to his ear. Thankfully, after 2 weeks of antibiotics and pain meds, he was fine. The owner even texted me a day or two later to check up on him! In a day and age where people shirk responsibility and pass blame I am so impressed at how this was handled. I love supporting small businesses and we will definitely be returning to Dawgs and Whiskers for future grooming appointments.

Leesa V is awesome! We love bringing our dog to her specifically to get groomed. She is very skilled and educated and always lets us know what she thinks would be best given his current state. Our dog is extremely anxious but she handles him so well with love and care!

I love Dawgs N Whiskers! It s nice to get to know a groomer at a small shop, where I feel valued as an individual. Of course my dog is amazing and sweet and totally loves his groomer Tigerlily. She is the best and always grooms exactly as we ask. 5 stars!

They are the best! They have good prices on dog food and have great loyalty program when you shop there. I always call ahead of time when I need dog food and they ll set aside for you. Also, the store went through some renovations and the grooming area is bigger now along with the shopping area. Love these guys!

I love Dawgs and Whiskers! Tiger Lilly and Leesa take excellent care of my dogs weekly. Always updating me in their ears and anything that I should watch out for. Love shopping locally. Dawgs N Whiskers is always fully stocked or always able to order what I need. They are very helpful when asking about nutrition, supplements or ingredients. Kelli is so nice and responded to my voice-mail within a few minutes. I adore them and love the improvements they are making to the shop.

Drop off/pick up was quick and easy, and the groomer kept me updated on their progress so I wasnt guessing about when to come get him. 10/10 would recommend.

As purchasers of dog food at Dawgs N Whiskers, we were pleased with a recent experience when our food was not in supply in the quantity we normally purchase. The owner sold us a smaller quantity but gave the purchase points for the larger bag we normally get. We were also told that the next delivery would be Wednesday and our quantity would be available at that time. Pleased and satisfied sums up our experience.

Our groomer has been working with our puppy and now grown up dog since her first clip. They patiently gave her the time to learn the process and she comes home clean, happy and worn out (play time with the other doggies) every time. With her breed needing clipped every six weeks, we knew it was critical we found a good groomer. In fact, I called the other day letting them know I had to clip some snarls out and how bad she must look. The response from the owner: we don t judge. It feels good to know I can mess up the cute cut she got and they ll fix it and with no judgment. Great food products (Dr Marty s) and fun toys, too!!

This little surprise shop for dogs and other animals is a well kept secret. I love it. The proprietor was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Many things to choose from. A bit pricey on freeze dried food. Our dog loves this place.

We have been taking our senior dog here for over a year or maybe even 2. They are so sweet with her and take such good care of her with her arthritic hips. She comes out with a smile and looking amazing. Store has everything you could ever need for you pets and at really amazing prices.

Very good so far. I take my dog here for her grooming. I loved all the groomers so far. The best thing is, there is very less wait time for dogs. they have a fixed time and grooming gets done in 2 to 3 hours max. Other places, they keep the dogs in the crate for long time and it takes almost 5 to 6 hours for the whole process. New review: they have changed their groomers and since then I had bad experiences. Last week, they took 6 hours to groom my shih-tzu and when I got her, she was completely bald, when I specifically asked them to keep my dogs hair long. She had some tangles but it was definitely not very bad. Even I could have done this at home rather than spending $80. I am not going there any more.

Do not take your dog here! I picked up my dog. She had several nicks on her body and was completely traumatized. Worst hair cut ever! I will never go back!

I took my cat to get groomed and I really liked how her fur was trimmed. But I noticed she was having sensitivity with her paws and so I checked her nails and they were cut way too short. One was cracked in half and bleeding. Sad to say but my cats well being is my priority and I won t be taking her back.

I brought my 18 year old cat in for his very first grooming. He was fine when I got him. Not nervous or upset. Also I forgot to bring in his rabies cert and they called his vet to verify. Nice!

Terrible customer s service and terrible grooming service!

This was my first time at dawgs n whiskers. They did a good job. So far no apparent nics. His grooming was even and he was clean without perfumes or powder on him (yuk). They don t crate the dogs when they re waiting their turn or waiting for me to pick him up. I ll go back again for sure. And the prices were very reasonable.

Prices seem pretty competitive, theres always the same helpful lady at the counter, and they always have the food I need. Shop local!

The owner is amazing! Drove there on a holiday (and a Sunday) not even realizing the holiday and the fact it would be closed. As I pulled up noticing it was closed, the owner was going inside (on her day off, in a hurry trying to get some work done) so I asked if I could get some dog food because I ran out the day before. She let me come in a quickly get a bag! Saved my day; and my dog from going hungry! I live 20 mins away so it s not practical to buy there regularly, but after she did that for me I ll be making the extra distance every time I need dog food/treats now.

They always treat my cat very nicely when they groom him. Its a little pricey for a cut and wash but Im more than willing to pay it for the job they do here. Their cat groomer is only available on select days, but she keeps my boy so clean and handsome that Ill schedule whenever shes available. The rest of the staff have always been super knowledgeable on products for my pets and have gone above and beyond to help. I love this place immensely.

Highly recommend! This is the only place that does well with our sweet Borgi. He s a very anxious dog, and they handle him really well. Been very happy with their service. He always looks so good after being groomed here.

I took my 6 months old puppy for bath and tidy service, I was super happy with the service and Lisa did amazing job. Finally found someone to groom my pup the way I like.

Had my boyfriend drop my Pomeranian off and specifically asked for them to leave his tail long and give the body a short teddy bear cut. They disregarded the instructions and cut the tail very short even for a teddy bear cut. When I called to address the issue the person who answered the phone immediately had an attitude with me despite me speaking to her calmly just trying to figure out what was going on. When I asked for a refund I got defensive sass back and was told groomer didn t feel they had done the cut incorrectly and didn t want to give a refund. Eventually they consulted the groomer again who finally agreed to a refund but I was told my dog would not be allowed back. 1) after this experience why would I want my dog to go back 2) it was the groomers mistake why is the positioning of this company s customer service and internal management outlook to punish the customer for an employees mistake 3) everyone makes mistakes which is understandable what is not ok is the way this mistake was handled by the business. Once the hair is cut literally a $60 refund won t make up for the 3 yrs it took me to grow out the tail. I was looking for a more professional, understanding and apologetic response than I got. 4) on top of this mistake they also messed up the booking by canceling my first apt only 30 mins before I was supposed to arrive. They charge a fee for short cancellations what about respecting the customers time? This is a two way street customers don t get a discount on services for the groomer canceling on short notice.

We are new to Utah. I went to look at food options for our 10 year old cat. The gal was very nice and very knowledgeable. She shared some samples for us to try.

I have been to several groomers at other places for my Australian Shepherd and was not happy with the results. I thought I would try this place and the groomer did an amazing job. I will be going here from now on for grooming.

Went over there 10 mins to close and she (name starts with a M can t remember) stopped counting till to help me and was so awesome and kind! Felt so bad going in late but needed a cbd dog treat for my dog with anxiety, and she explained all my options really well and helped me out a ton! Cute little shop with friendly staff.

Great groomer, she was able to get the nails trimmed on our cat with an aversion to nearly anything that makes noise. Our cat wasnt able to finish the shave unfortunately, but overall it was a great job and I will definitely take my other animals here in the future.

Very unprofessional with grooming. If your dog is even slightly nervous they dont know how to handle them.

Every one of the people I have dealt with at this place are so nice and patient. It takes several hours for the hair cut, sanitary shave, wash and dry because my moms dog has pain if she has to stand too long so they give her breaks and are so good with her. She always comes home looking so good. I would recommend them to my friends who need a good groomer.

Ive been buying our dog food from Dawgs N Whiskers for probably about a year now and wouldnt ever think to go anywhere else. All the products in their store are high quality and I dont think twice about anything I buy from here. Ive been able to figure out exactly how much dog food we need each week and the staff puts our regular order aside for me so I never have to worry about them being out. They really go above and beyond and care about your opinion of the products they sell!

Unlike other pet stores where some of the employees dont know what they are talking about there is someone around every corner asking if you need help but when you do need help you cant find anyone. They have a wide range of dog/cat food and can easily direct you to one that would work best for your animals needs. They also have a ton of unique toys that you wouldnt find in big box pet stores. I also really appreciate how knowledgeable they are. If we ever have a health concern with our pup and we dont necessarily think its something that he needs to go to the vet for we consult the staff at Dawgs N Whiskers.

This is an awesome place with knowledgeable staff! They have the best prices on Answers food which can be hard to get but they always pull through for me! I really like Donna and enjoy talking to her when I go in!

Had some salt water fish but prices were high. Not much of a variaty only two yellow tangs.

Great place. Staff is so friendly and helpful, and the grooming is excellent. Before we found Dawgs and Whiskers our golden doodle was always shaved down completely every time she was groomed. The groomers here are always able to keep her hair long- they know what they re doing! Really love this place

This is the one and only place I will ever go for my dogs needs! The owners and employees are very knowledgeable and want to help you achieve the absolute best for your puppy, dog, or old time best friend. They also have stuff for cats, Im sure theyre knowledgeable about them also, but Im a dog person. I highly recommend this store!

Great service! They were able to get our Cocker Spaniel in for an emergency groom. He had gum in his coat and we had cut it out leaving him less than presentable. Called on a Monday, given appointment for Tuesday morning. The normal hours are from 10 AM, we were able to drop him off at 9:00 AM and pick up at about noon. He looks great and price was reasonable. Lisa the groomer brought additional items to my attention as well to follow up. Great experience!

Great place. I was referred here by my niece and I m so grateful. Had my little dog groomed here as well and they did a fantastic job. Also, love the natural treats as well.

Went there today to grab some food and a clue treats. Ended up getting some raw goats milk for my dogs allergies and a few meal toppers. I love how high quality the products are here, and how competitive the prices are.

They are really friendly and did a great job grooming my girl.

Im very unimpressed with their customer service. I called about getting my dog groomed this week and the lady literally laughed at me and said they couldnt fit me in for the next three weeks. She didnt even offer to schedule for the next appointment and said best of luck finding someone else. They were super unprofessional and I wouldnt recommend.

Love the owner, she always welcoming and answers what questions I have. She has even ordered food for me so it would be delivered before I needed it.

The staff was extremely kind and everything was fairly priced. We just adopted a new dog and they were very interested in helping us find a collar, treats, chews and leash that fit her personality. They understood that our dog was timid and helped her warm up to them. I will definitely be a long time customer if the service continues to be even half as wonderful as it was.

The reviews were great so I brought my Himalayan here. This may be the place for dogs but as for specialty breed cats, NO GO. The owner and workers are pleasant but my cat did not receive a great cut. I regret bringing him there and really disappointed in the end result. His head is thinned out way too much to the point that there is almost a bald patch, his boots are uneven. He even hit his flat face against something during the experience. Two stars is generous.

We ve been to every dog store between Provo and Farmington and fell in love with Dawgs N Whiskers! Kelli is so knowledgeable and has helped us with all of our dogs health issues. She has special ordered numerous foods for us in hopes to help a sick foster and always has THE BEST prices. We only shop here for our pups.

Fun store for Furbabies

Theyve got a good array of products for dogs. But I swear everytime I come in, the person working (who i believe is the owner) answers the phone everytime shes helping me. Its so frustrating. I came into the store, I would expect to not be interrupted by you answering the phone. Ive stopped going, theres plenty of other great pet stores around here.

Probably a great place for pet supplies. My grooming appointments either dont get scheduled or they get cancelled and its tough to get rescheduled. Going to a more dependable place with more than one groomer.

We have been going here for over a year. We really appreciate the attention and care they give to pets needs. They are willing to look up which product you last purchased if you for get. They have even taken time to research products to find the best one for my senior dog s health. They only support and sell quality products. We moved and still go to this shop, despite others being closer. I love having them in our community.

I love Dawgs N Whiskers. They are local, competitively priced and carry the highest quality dog and cat foods you cant at big box pretty stores or grocery stores. I had such a wonderful experience here! Not only did my dog walk out looking beautiful (for a very reasonable price), but they offered advice on pet nutrition and natural remedies for his anxiety. They even have grooming prices listed by breed on their website! Donna and Marina are so welcoming and knowledgeable and truly care about the pets that come into their store. It is great to have a store with staff who are so knowledgeable about the foods they carry. They know more than the fact that these foods are considered high-end and better quality; they know what makes these foods this way. My dog has MAJOR food allergies and they took the time to help me find a food that would work for her. And when the food was on an endless back-order, they helped me find a food that would substitute for the time being. This store is like a little hidden gem and I love it!

Extremely knowledgeable and helpful owner. We had a puppy whose mother quit feeding it around four and a half weeks. The owner was able to guide us through picking out the right food and gave us a bunch of samples to try. You can tell the owner and employees truly love what they do.

My husband and I tried the shop for the first time today and we were amazed! Donna was amazing and catered to our every need and made sure that she explained everything about every product so we were making a good decision ! Love this place for our dog food.

We started going here to get Fromm puppy food for our German shepherd pup. The staff is so friendly and knows their pet food well! We thought they were open until 7pm on Saturdays and we pulled up at 6:20 as an employee was locking up. She let us in after hours to get our pup more food. Another car pulled up after us and she did the same thing for them. Thats amazing customer service! She said, We cant have starving puppies! We will continue driving across the valley to buy our dog food here!!

Staff are very knowledgeable. The products and prices here are top of the line. Yes pricier then your alpo but you get what you pay for and I want my pups to be eating the best they possibly can. Im on a 5star brand called Victors and my dogs LOVE it. I even bought optagest and salmon oil here. I recommend going here if you want your dog or cat to be eating the best foods as well as adding in some extras to ensure they are getting all their vitamins and nutrients (: I can say my dogs are extremely happy and have a well balanced diet because of them (:

I started shopping here for my service dog because she deserves the best and this place is the best I could find close to my house. The staff is always friendly and very helpful on picking out the right food for her.

Went in the first time because they were on my way home from work. Got the Turkey Zignature for my dogs and they took off some money because they found a coupon for me, really nice of them. Went back once and they were out of the big bags of zignature so they ordered it for me and delivered it to me at my home. They were wonderful the whole time. I will continue to shop there for sure!!

Amazing store, amazing staff, and amazing products. So glad we found this place.

I drive from sugarhouse just to go to this place to get my standard poodle groomed. I ve seen two different groomers there and both did a fantastic job. I ve tried other groomers closer to me but I was only ever disappointed. Some are fine but for a poodle I need someone who can do more than a teddy bear clip and Dawgs N Whiskers is that place. Their pet products are high quality as well. I ve also driven out here just for some of their toys and poop bag cases. I met one of the owners once and she helped me get everything in my car, very nice people. They also have some really cool snakes in back if you re into that!
