The produce quality at Harmons has gone to garbage. After years of being a loyal customer, I will go elsewhere and recommend you do the same.

Great grocery store! I love their bakery (particularly their breads and cookies) and deli items (soups, salads, cheeses, etc) - they use high quality ingredients. The service is always friendly and helpful.

I am a regular shopper at this particular Harmons off Redwood road and 10400, while certain items are a tad higher in price the quality is clearly worth it especially in the Meat and Seafood department as well as the Fruits and Vegetables. Always well stocked and clean, the presentation of the fruits and vegetables is outstanding and the quality of those second to none. The meats and fish are incredible with an assortment to choose from including pre prepared options. Tonight I was able to grill the center cut tenderloin I purchased yesterday and it was simply the most magnificent piece of meat I have had in years. Do yourself a favor and visit that location you will not be disappointed.

Had an awful experience there. I had been ill with a medical condition but needed a couple things. Threw on some sweats and dropped in, grabbed what I needed and went to the self check out. They stopped me to check my receipt and look in all my bags. Didnt happen to anyone else. Nice bit of discrimination to start my day. Thanks!

This is BY FAR!!!! The worst Tortolinia I have ever had!!! First of all the South Jordan chef is the WORST and should not be incharge of ANYTHING!!!! There is obviously NO QUALITY CONTROL!!!! My Tortoline is the WORST!!!! WE CAN NOT EVEN EAT IT!!!!

The Harmons Lady with the short white hair was rude to me this morning, but the otherwise quality team and quality game gives this an easy 4 stars.

Bakery at any Harmons leaves a lot to be desired. The quality of the ingredients is poor . Harmons needs to hire people that know what they are doing , asked for a rain check on an ad special the checker had to ask if she could even do that lol , and then made me fill out the rain check myself . Harmons charges way more than most other grocers ,

This is one of the grossest harmons I ve ever been inside of. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting.

Flowers, much like other items at Harmons, are overpriced and overpacked. They place more expensive bouquets without an advertised price next to cheaper bouquets i.e. placing unmarked $20 bouquets next to bouquets advertised as $10. Its a hassle when you checkout :/

Nice atmosphere, everything very fresh

I have really great things to say about the floral department at this store. I bought a corsage for an event from a well known florist brand that ended up being horribly disappointing. I came to Harmons as a last ditch effort to find a replacement. They went above and beyond and created a beautiful wristlet corsage for me. I will definitely be a return customer.

To this day I have not found a bigger rip off than sushi from Harmons. I used to get a roll of sushi from Harmons every day and it used to be $5.95 back probably about 2 years ago. I thought even back then I was getting ripped off haha. But now for one roll of sushi ( 8 pieces) its $14.95. Its a straight up scam. it better come with a reach around for $15 god damn. Total crook move from harmons.

this harmons is so DISGUSTING and the employees are rude for no reason. I went up to one of the associates and asked her where the item I was looking for was and she straight up just ignored me. I later walked passed that same employee and she was laughing and pointing at me with another employee. I am not exactly sure what was so funny but I felt so disrespected and heartbroken because I consistently come to this harmons and lately the new employees they ve hired have been nothing but rude to me every time I go there. the food is also expired and no one takes it off the shelves. the bathrooms are never clean and i always see employees hiding out in the bathroom doing god knows what. I would rather jump off a cliff than go to this disgusting, horrible, no-good, godforsaken grocery store, I don t think I can even include Harmons as a grocery store anymore. if you have the option to choose a different store, choose the other store, this place is NOT worth your hard-earned money. if I could leave zero stars I would. this is absurd, do BETTER.

We love shopping here. We are frequent flyers and many of the employees recognize us and even remember our preferences. Its nice to shop somewhere that feels like home.

my most recent experience at harmons has me angry and i don t want to come back. my biggest problem is the self checkout. the machines suck. i don t want to use them. the weighing system is horrible. 0/10. i cannot express how much i hate the self checkout. there s a grocery store in cottonwood heights called dans. it has self checkout, but they have the weighing system turned off. it s amazing 10/10. love dans. dans is off putting, it looks weird, the employees don t usually say anything to you. dans seems like a terrible grocery store. but their self checkout system is perfect. i love dans. dans is the best grocery store. harmons sucks. fix your self checkout. or keep cashier lanes open past 7 o clock. i m mad harmons. i m so mad.

I have shopped Harmons exclusively for 50 years but today did NOT go well. No one to check me out, had to use self check out. Had more groceries than the table could handle so kept kicking me out! So So frustrating! Please dont make me do your job. I pay enough for groceries and deserve a checker!

Love the atmosphere. Hate that everytime i shop at this Harmons my items ring up for over the price listed on the shelf. Not just once or twice but every single time. I now take pictures of the price of whatever i buy because i know that i am going to head to customer service to show them they are overcharging for their items. I dont ask for a refund i just want to bring it to their attention, alrhough they never do anything about it! Check your receipts, you are getting ripped off!!

ETA January 2024: Ive come back to Harmons now and then since 2021. They have baskin Robbins Ice cream and Smiths does not, they also have a better deli than Smiths, so sometimes when I need a quick healthy dinner for my kids I drop by. My mother also gets a prescription here on occasion that Ill pick up for her. Still, these are rare occasions mostly because this location SMELLS LIKE BACKED-UP SEWAGE. How have they not addressed this? Every time I go in, its like the twilight zone because Im gasping for fresh air while everyone around me is apparent unawares. Im editing my review to leave 1 star today on May 24th, 2021, and it is a shame. All the good stuff I loved before about Harmons doesnt mean anything any more. They can earn my forgiveness I suppose, but their indiscretion is anything but light. The way that they have behaved through the pandemic has been awful. Theyve discriminated against veterans and deaf people, those with asthma and anxiety. Theyve only allowed the compliant to enter their store regardless of anyone elses health. HARMONS has NOT been a safe place to shop. In America, where capitalism has blessed them, and where the free market should allow those who know mask-wearing and experimental shots are a great risk to ones health to shop anywhere their hard earned money is welcome, we find HARMONS falling to the tactics of communists who rely on fear and hysteria to control the populace. Harmons was an amazing ally during the FOOD TAX threat to our state, and it couldnt have been beat without them. I have been mortified and shocked over their treatment of dedicated patrons over the last couple of years. As a former fan of Harmons, I have grieved. I havent shopped there in several months, and only 3 times the last two years. So sad. My review 4 years ago: This is my regular shopping store. The products they shelve their store with are awesome. You can tell they take great care to offer a wide variety of quality items, as well as the cheap generic stuff you see at any other store. Their produce is most often very fresh and clean, and they offer a great variety of choices in that department. I love that Harmons has unique in-store-made offerings, like nut butters and sushi. I love their black bean and corn salad. Its so addicting! I love their artisan bread gig and their gourmet cupcakes (Ive always thought they were way better tasting and looking than the Cupcake Wars places). Their shopping environment is great too. I dont feel like I cant wait to get out of there, like I do at most other places. I dread grocery shopping, but to be honest, when Im going to Harmons and I get to go without the kids, I get a little excited.

First time here. Ordered a birthday cake for my boy. (I bought the candle and toppers separately.) But Ive got to commend them on how easy they made it to order. The professionalism and talent of their Bakers are obviously excellent. We have a family tragedy going on right now, and they helped me to give a more normal day to my son. Thank you, Harmons!

I go to this Harmons on my lunch break weekly. The deli has chicken tenders that are just as good as Raising Canes and more affordable. Don t even get me started on the potato wedges. The salad bar and soup bar are always fully stocked. Their family deli meal is about $18 dollars and can turn into 3 or 4 meals for a family of 2. Consider Harmons next time on your lunch break!

Yesterday I bought a Raspberry Daisy 4 count sugar cookie package. These were absolutely amazing. Ive bought a few cookies from here in the past and really enjoy them. I always go looking for frosted sugar cookies. These particular cookies were fluffy unlike any sugar cookie I have ever tasted. I tried to call and let them know they were amazing so if they did something different yesterday than normal that theyd keep it up! Because they were incredible. I tried to describe it to a friend and gave up and just gave him one of them. His response was a wondrous look in his face and the question of How? escaped his lips. Seriously, the fluffy sugar cookies were amazing, make more!

Probably the worst piece of brisket in my life cooked to temp the whole outside was nothing but rubber. Will never buy any meat from them again

This Harmons has some issues I dont usually write bad reviews but man every single person that I came in contact with there is rude only the meat department is kind and polite everyone else has something up their butt

Overall harmons is great. My one star is for the bakery. Usually I have zero complaints but recently I ordered a cake and for whatever reason they decided to put the Mickey & Minnie toppers on it for me, instead of off to the side to be applied at home. The figures are to tall to fit in the box so they leave it half opened. Now I d expect this rookie mistake from Walmart but not Harmons!!! By the time I got it to my car it was a little smeared but not horrible. I carefully drive it home. Than pull it out to see the figures are both tipped over and smeared. To give you a visual, it looked like Mickey and Minnie Mouse made snow angels in the frosting. For future, the bakery should put the toppers on the side. Or if you re purchasing a cake leave instructions to do so.

I was all hyped and planning to switch to Harmons for my groceries until they wouldnt sell me any sourdough starter from the baker. Oh well.

Harmons is the best grocery store chain in the valley in my opinion. Its always clean, people are always polite, shelves are always well stocked. Incredible variety, great produce, deli always has good stuff, ideas for dinner... its where I go when I know I want good selection and high quality. It is slightly more expensive I think is safe to say, but thats what it takes to pay for a quality shopping experience.

I revisited this harmons today (after my visit there 10 months ago and dealing with a rude cashier, Carrie) and I wish I could rate this .5 stars or less. I bought two pieces of double chocolate mousse cake, 4$ each. It was HORRIBLE. Dry cake and the mousse was lumpy and bland. Ill go to the one in the District instead. SMH.

I will literally drive out of my way sometimes to go here. The employees are always so friendly. If an employee passes me, they always say hi, throughout the whole floor/outside. The store is always clean or is being cleaned. They always have whatever I need in stock. I love their organic offerings. Even though it is on Redwood, surprisingly it s really not that busy any time I ve gone, and if it is, I hardly ever wait in a line. To be honest, I love this place so much that I really don t even care if I had to wait in line.

Purchased 2 packages of crostinis, and one of them was so stale I had to spit it out. It wasnt crispy like you would think. No, these went stale weeks ago. You can pick one up and know its stale by touching it. Im not a picky person, by any means. I would have brought them back but I live in west valley. You may want to try one before purchasing, do NOT trust the date on the package, they are obviously using old product in new packaging. Also the quantity in the container is not nearly what it use to be. Insulted by quantity, then spit in with quality.

I grabbed some ready to eat grapes, 2 containers actually, and the red grapes in both containers were mushy and not good. The green ones were fine. I love Harmon s and shop there often so just wanted to give a heads up. I think maybe the product shouldn t have been used. They were pretty disgusting.

Was my favourite but they have lost me. I wont be spending another penny with them. The hate filled staff and ownership is just to much for me.

I understand they can have any policy they want regarding masks but I witnessed the store manager absolutely berate a guy that didn t have his nose covered by his mask, not even a simple ask for correction he just came at the guy extremely aggressive and told him it was private property and that he needed to leave. It just completely turned me off to ever wanting to shop there again. Have some decency in enforcing your mask rules.

I only went to the pharmacy where there was no wait, the pharmacist was very polite and professional.

It was a challenge getting Ian to pass the key lime pie at the door! You know how they put items strategically where they know buyers will get them?! Yeh! Ian seemed to know the last of the land though, for the most part. We expected they would have a good cheese ball and some dip for evening snacks. We looked. We asked. We looked again. Sadly, without success. The staff were very friendly and helpful. In a much as they could be, I should add. After all, the cheese ball selection was sad. As we looked for the cheese ball, for those of you who have read Terry Pratchett, Wee Free Men series, you would likely recognize Horace, the cheese wheel. He was recently returned from the taxidermist, knock on wood. No, really. He was made of wood! Clean, stocked, organized, great staff...4/5 Now if only they had some better selection of cheese wheels!

I have shopped this Harmons for 11 year now. I shop there because it saves exceptional time with its quality - Im crazy--bust with 4 kids and running a biz - although I cant always really afford it. It deserved 5 stars until the last couple years. It has a great environment and excellent house-made food, which you can usually depend on great quality when you have to make a super quick-thoughtless run to the supermarket. However, I have run into an issue with pricing quite a few times lately (packages of fresh shrimp were on sale 5 for $25 - but I was charged full price - over $10 a package.). I was in a rush and had my 4 kids with me, so I didnt notice I was charged over double what I should have paid, until I got home. To make it worse, the shrimp went bad in my fridge after 1 day, although it should have lasted a few more days. And when I bought rainbow chard, there were so many bugs in it that they were all over the bags and my SUV - Ewe!!! - not an experience you should have when shopping Harmons prices.

Honestly the customer service from the male cashier that helped me, at this location was undesirable. I would rather drive to a different location then have another interaction with him. He was rude and had a demeaning attitude. Harmons usually does so well with hiring their staff but they missed the red flags with this one.

Highest quality in the state. Nobody does groceries and produce better. You might pay a little more, but its bright, well-lit, and beautiful. They even have a lot of weird things that you might not find elsewhere. The selection of meats and cheeses is fantastic. When I need specialty items, Harmons is my go-to place.

Most inconsistent place I ve ever been. And they were horrible during Covid. They badger their customers. They are just very inconsistent with their policies and procedures. It s like they don t want you to shop here!

I love Harmons! Its close to my brothers house in West Valley and Ive been shopping there for decades!

Love The District location. But this location is nice too. I enjoy the selection. Prices can be high though. The bakery is one of the best to be found in any grocery store around. It is clean and upscale. The only problem is that their gift items and plants are usually really cute but extremely pricey here. The cute 3 to 4 inch planted pots in these pictures are about $12 each.

We drive by 4 grocery stores to come to these guys they always are very kind and have quality stuff for a good price. I have a 2 year old that loves going to the store with us cause all the employees wave back when she waves at them. And every once in a while she even gets a balloon.

Harmons locations are alwasy well kept, clean, and offer a wide variety of items. The South Jordan location is very nice and the staff are very respectful. They also have a post office in the store.

Very nice, but over-priced. This is the closest grocery store to our house, but we drive past it to shop elsewhere (Smiths) due to significant price differences. Note that the bakery has lots of nice sweet treats, but the Kneaders across the parking lot is cheaper.

Too expensive for they stock in thier frozen section. Ended up buying frozen dinner which had expired 2 yrs ago and still were freshly stocked in the fresh market

Harmons has been my go to during this pandemic because of how clean they have been. Yesterday I want to the deli to get some lunch meat and lost all hope. The man working, wiped his sweat with a rag and then itched his ear with the gloves he was using to cut meat. He didn t bother to change them, I was blown away.

Out of everywhere Ive ever been, this is the cleanest, friendliest grocery store with the best fresh prepared ready to eat selection hands down!

Its exactly what you would expect from Harmons. Prices are high but they make up for it in what they offer. Most of the staff are really nice but sometimes could be not so friendly. Im in-between three and four stars but decided on the fourth because for the most part everything is on the positive side. Only had a semi bad experience with one of the staff but wont name this person because I dont have a reason to go in there anymore.

I have been going to this Harmons for years, the staff in every department are knowledgeable and willing to help. The store also has a ton of variety (especially beer lol). If you have yet to find a great grocery I highly recommend this location!

Nice ce store just to expensive to buy things

I was refused business because I was not wearing the common mask however I was wearing a mouth and nose covering. The Store manager acted like a Cop instead of treating me like a loyal customer. I will not be coming back because of how I was treated.

Thank you for now requiring masks during this pandemic. Slowing the spread ensures that our hospitals will be able to care properly for our sick, and also helps the economy by preventing future closures. Thank you.

The staff here are very friendly and are always being productive. I ve never had any problem coming here. As a business owner, I rely on the USPS store here and I ve never had one issue. Very great grocery store, 5/5.

Aside from produce, this store is pristine. The cafe had really good friend chicken, potato wedges, etc. The place is clean and workers sanitize the registers between customers. The parking lot also just got done again, so its a smooth drive or bike. The workers are friendly too.

Fair prices, cashier confused and annoyed. Everyone else there was great, friendly and attentive.

I dont shop here. Yet your mask policy is so awful compared to even other harmons. You get a bad review for that and there was a lot of work violations when I went. Since you care so much about following policy and safety I let OSHA know they should do a inspection. Especially when stuff is on the floor and customers could walk in and trip.

I recently started doing the e-shop with grocery pickup and I am AMAZED at how flawless it is. So affordable and convenient and the employees who pick the groceries are so thorough and kind. Very clean looking and stuff for sanitizing but could use more employees sanitizing things after people touch them. Also sanitizing the bathrooms after someone uses them would be nice.

Seems like the store is clean but disorganized. There was stuff all over the place all out of order. Looks like everyone was really busy couldnt tell you why oh, there wasnt all that many people I could go. Bathrooms were blocked off for some reason. Couldnt get in them. Pretty good

I found this place to be very unfriendly and crowded! There was a fight right in the entrance, police presence was everywhere. Very uncomfortable. Service at the deli area was rude. I never thought a grocery store could be creepy but this one was.

I do love all Harmon s. While this one is a little smaller than the Bangerter/Draper location I love the selection and freshness of their produce. While their prices may seem higher you definitely get the quality you pay for.

Quality Groceries

Always have everything you need. but at a slightly higher price.

One of the older Harmons out there but there is a manager/leader at this store who wears regular clothes but is always smiling and helping out his employees. Every time I go in, hes greeting customers, smiling at other employees and has helped me out numerous times. Most recently, he helped me and the cashier on a product exchange and made it so easy and did it quickly with a genuine smile. Its those sort of people that stand out in my mind and just made my day. Store is clean and most employees seem happy. I actually took a lesson from this guy that he seems to truly enjoy what he does and its a great illustration what a small genuine gesture and great attitude can impact others.

I always find what Im looking for and even things I wasnt looking for... Great selection!

Harmons never disappoints. Produce was beautiful. Store was well lit and clean. Got all i needed and was out in no time. Was a little suprised they didnt yet have self checkout, or maybe i just missed it. However my checker was courteous and happy, so no loss there.
