Jessica in grooming did great with both my dogs. She was quick and they came home calm & happy, looking great. Truly she did wonderful & I appreciated how happy my dogs were after as previous times I've picked them up they've been anxious. 5 stars for her and her work done. Cost wise is why 4 stars. $109 for 14lb mini golden doodle & $77 for 14lb mini schnauzer, before any add ons (nail grinding, teeth brushing, etc) and tax. I was surprised what it came to, I've never paid that much at either of other groomers we have used. I switched here for convenience of how quick it was to book.
My experience at Petco was terrible. I wanted to purchase a fish for my cousin and politely asked if someone could assist me. They asked me if I was going to abuse the fish, and then they proceeded to deny me service. I took a stroll around the store and found a dead beta fish and they are in tiny cups. Hence forth I would have been a great fish owner compared to them and their disappointing lack of service. Never visiting again!
It’s always a great experience whenever we come here. Kyle was super nice when checking out at the register and recommended their grooming staff! We’ve been so let down with other grooming places and never get the services we pay for. We have yet to use their grooming but we are looking forward to it!
Great staff and available slots! I moved here from the Boise Idaho area where the Petco stores (and every store) is booked out weeks because of growth. It's great to be in a location with more balance. They treated Cooper very well, and his nails/teeth are done right.

The layout of the store is straightforward, and I found it easy to navigate through the aisles. The staff members were friendly and knowledgeable, ready to assist with any questions I had about specific products. However, I did encounter some issues with stock levels; a few items I was interested in were out of stock, which was frustrating. Additionally, while the prices on many products were reasonable, I noticed that some items seemed a bit higher compared to local competitors. The checkout process was another area that could be improved. During my visit, there were only a couple of registers open, leading to longer wait times. Overall, Petco offers a decent shopping experience with a variety of products and friendly service, but there’s room for improvement in inventory management and checkout efficiency. I would rate my visit three stars.
This is by FAR the BEST PetCo in Utah. Why? Because the Staff were super friendly and knowledgeable about the items in the store as well as she animals. Special thanks to Kyra and Lexei for their kindness. Extremely pleasant experience every time! 5 STARS!!!
This is the worst petco I have even been in, it’s never been cleaned the cages are disgusting and you can barely see the animals which are all sick and dying. My daughter’s favorite animal in the store was a small chameleon over the last two weeks it has been getting worse and worse, today it was dead on the floor of the cage, seems like it’s been there for a couple of days. There’s dirt and cobwebs on all the racks. This store needs to be boycotted, it’s cruel for these poor animals to live in such filth. This store desperately needs new management and cleaned up. It seems to be always understaffed.
Great Pet Store! They have always had a great location that is kept clean neat and tidy! I was impressed with their huge selection of pet supplies. Very conveinent to have a pet store in. This area! The staff is knowledge and helpful and friendly. All kinds of animals and creatures available to buy! So many types of fish. They even have birds for sale here! Lastly, you get your pet groomed here!
Great job on my dogs groom! The only thing I dont like about petco is that they charge extra for other things that are included when I take them to my normal groomer.
Dont waste your time . I made reservation for grooming all the sudden 40 minutes before my appointment i got a call telling me we need to cancel it because your appointment was taking.
Dont trust this location. And it seems like the owner doesnt care about all the complaints. So dirty and unprofessional pets grooming job .

Prices in store are almost double what is shown online ($6.75 online, $12.99 in store). If they are going to try and screw me every chance that they get, why should i waste my time? All purchases in store will be verified with website pricing.
They are not professionals with dogs
We only go to Petco to have our dogs nails trimmed each month. I think they do a decent job, but they gripe and complain everytime about my dog whining when she gets her nails clipped. Shes a nervous Nelly, but she doesnt bite or anything. I get tired of hearing about it. Were currently looking for a better place to go.

I brought my dog here 2 weeks ago and I will never bring him back.... they shaved him raw down there and cut his b and he was so rashed up his haircut was shorter than I wanted and it was a little uneven here and there. I just found out he is bleeding a little bit down there not sure if he got a infection or what but either way. Definitely am very upset
Went in for kitten formula..$12 can shown online..got in the store & only $34 can ..clerk said its in the back room, but it would take too long to find it. Ok....

Did a very nice job on grooming
Do not buy your fish here. They are actually scamming you. We bought four guppies for a 3.5 gallon tank. We asked when we bought the fish if the tank was enough and were told that it was plenty. We were also told that if the fish died within 30 days we could exchange it. One fish died on the way home and another the day after we put them in the tank. When I took them back to the store I was told that they could not replace our fish because the tank was not the right size even though they originally said it would work. However the girl was kind enough to assure me that she could sell the fish to me again. Why would you not be able to replace the fish you knew we re going to die, but you can sell them to me again knowing they re going to die again. Such a scam. We even were talked into buying a heater for a 3.5 gallon tank the first time we were in the store. SCAM
You re expensive and between you and the vets who can afford animals anymore. You are outrageous.

Every time I go to your store in South Jordan they will not sell me a fish. I have to go to Petsmart to get it. We just had one die after a year and a half and it lived with my Beta just fine. This was the third attempt to get one from your guys and finally went to petsmart to get it where they said yes it will be fine to put these two fish together, but the lady at your store asked what I was doing with it and without even letting me say anything, she rudely said she would not sell me one and walked away. When she did that was the final nail in the coffin for me and I drove the extra 20 minutes to get the fish I was asking for for the last week. Sorry to say but you have lost a customer. I will not be going back to your stores. I am done with you guys. The rudeness has chased me away. And what is with every single one of your employees having to have a nose ring? It is a bad image for your company
I love the selection here. Its a clean store. Neighborhood folks are mega friendly. Staff not as much. They seem stressed out and unwelcoming, which is too bad because they seem like they are lovely people. Im guessing that the store management finds their employees so expendable that the focus on work culture trickles down to line staff. My suggestion to this store is to keep up the hard work, but have the manager be on the floor more, setting the tone for a positive experience for everyone, especially the staff. Your customers and staff will notice and will value the effort.

Our dog visited the groomer and had been clipped and dremeled on TWO different nails past the quick. Two nails clipped to the quick and then a dremel used to smooth the exposed quick. No wonder our was upset! The groomer returned him to us as if he was a difficult dog saying ge growled at her. How on earth do you clip down to the quick and continue on with a dremel on two different nails??? We felt terrible having put our dog through that. Definitely will not ever go to Petco again.
Our groomer Caylee is absolutely phenomenal!! She does an outstanding job on my goldendoodle and my sons toy Aussie.

Don t buy from here, we got one bearded dragon that died within the first month. So we went back and got a second one (from the same batch) that died a very gruesome death. Bc of the in breeding we had tail rot, mouth rot, eye infection, trouble breathing, beard bleeding, and I save the worse for last; body literally falling off. Bf went talk to someone Saturday and people lied to him on who was the manager, then corporate is now giving us the run around bc nobody wants to take charge of what happened to our pet that we loved so much even though he was only 6 months old. This is your fault! We tried to help him as much as we could but bc of the inbreeding we couldn t help him anymore Reference #08478051 Store #01462 Picture attached they are bad so look away if you don t want to be traumatized

Easy to find things and great items
I d give zero if I could. Here s how the encounter went: I had an appointment for grooming and I told the groomer that my dog had a back pain two Months ago and he is fine now, just be careful. And she goes we can t take him, need a vet certificate . I said he is fine, and he just shouldn t climb stairs ever and he is not on any current restrictions and she can check with the vet. She calls the vet office, doesn t give my dog s name or my phone number and says , hello, this is going to be weird. I have a dog that hurt his back and he is still on restrictions. Can I groom him . And apparently the front desk of the vet s office said no and the groomer goes that s all I wanted to hear . It took all of thirty seconds or less. I told her to call my primary vet and she wouldn t. I called the store manager and he kept defending her. Call the vet! Stop being dismissive! I guess she wanted a no show or a cancellation and she got it. Well, I took him to PetSmart and he is all done! I called the vet s office and asked and they said they didn t get the call. And she should be able to be groomed. If the store cares, they can figure it out. I don t care coz no way am I letting that lady or Tht store touch my dog. Don t know what her name was and don t want to know. But she was an older lady and this is a horrible and lazy store
The worker was very rude to us. My parents have gotten all of our fish here. But today I went with my two friends to get a fish. And they said we had to be 18 so I got my dad but because we were all together they wouldnt let us buy the fish and said we had to come tomorrow. This made no sense because weve gone with the whole family and it was fine. So this makes me wonder if that worker was discriminating my friend and thinking there was no way we could be a family. Why cant we get a fish because three girls came before the adult but if the adult came with his daughters it would be fine? This policy made zero sense
I would give zero starts if it was possible. The worker was really rude and said we couldn t buy stuff because we had friends under 18 with us even though we had an adult there. The lady wouldn t talk to us and stormed away. She was very rude to us and was VERY sensitive. She said she was the manager but I m pretty sure she was lying because she didn t want to be wrong. Worst experience at ANY store I ve ever been to.
This place has okay animals there. Some animals werent taken care of in an appropriate way and there was a lot of dead fishes in the tanks when I was there. Also, the costumer representative team is SO rude to customers especially the manager. The manager herself wouldnt sell a fish to us because we were a group of four even though there were adults. Shes also racist and doesnt sell animals to black people. Lastly, she makes wrong assumptions about her customers and tells her offensive assumptions directly to the customer even though they are wrong and offensive. To be honest, my experience was okay until she started doing all the above. Actually scratch that just when I saw her it ruined my whole experience. Her face is so not welcoming.

I was extremely disappointed with the person handling the cat adoption. I went to look for a cat they have two cats available. They were so affectionate behind the glass I was excited to pet them and meet them. The girl who came up to let us see them, before she got to us laid down rules. Cats dont like to be held so youre not allowed to hold them, also they will run away umm ok.... Friendly cats such as these ones who are scraping the windows because they want love dont want to be held ok... These cats dont like kids as she looks at my kids. As my kid pets them, they were rubbing up to my kids hands, they also dont like dogs as follow up after we we mentioned we had some. She also tells us their younger adults and as a cat owner for many years these werent young adults these were teenagers at best, and as young cats theyre still able to learn how to be around other animals. We ended up leaving frustrated as we were interested in these cats, but didnt have the time to argue with this lady who seems uneducated about these animals that she is so called helping. With overflowing shelters you would think she wouldnt try pushing what could be a great home to these cats. I would highly recommend this company to do better at educating their employees.

Petco always has everything that I need for my cat and dog. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I had an exchange and the process was quick and easy.
This location has serious staffing issues from other reviews and my own experience. Apart from walking around and getting absolutely no help at all from anyone, the person at the register refused to sell us a betta fish after asking if we had a tank at home that was already cycled. I stated I did have a tank at home with three gallons (and another betta living at home) and he made up some poor excuse that the specific koi betta in our hands produces a lot of waste so he couldn t sell it to us. Besides the glaringly obvious fact that they keep their fish in small cups that are a LOT LESS than three gallons, they also sell betta tanks that are only ONE gallon in the store that you can purchase for obscenely high prices that come with no filter, no heater, and no water change system like the tank I have at home. It made for an unpleasant and uncomfortable experience after having walked through the store and seen the conditions that they keep fish in as well as multiple dead betta in cups by the sink. I think it makes no sense to question whether or not three gallons of filtered, heated, and treated water can be better for a fish than a CUP. I made no issue of it there and left the store but I am sorely disappointed by my visit. What s laughable is that they allow you to get a betta shipped directly to your house from their site where they can t verify a single thing. If your store has a policy of some sort, that needs to be UPFRONT and customer facing so that customers can know and prepare for your interrogations and accusations of their home. You have the money to plaster a million other useless bits of information around the store. Don t let people make the mistake of thinking they can provide a home for a pet and then walk to the register only to be denied that experience. I went to PetSmart right after and was immediately greeted at the door and asked by an employee if I needed assistance. While they don t need to greet me or treat me any better than any other customer, I appreciate and enjoy my experience every time at the PetSmart in West Jordan. Never trying Petco ever again.
This used to be my favorite Petco location and I will never be back. The place is a mess and the service is lacking. No one greets you when you walk in, even though there are tons of workers walking around. On top of that, they apparently don t want to sell their fish. I went to checkout with a small female koi betta and a live plant to go with her, and the guy working would not let me purchase it. He said I needed to have a tank cycled for 24 hours, and upon telling him I was going to get one somewhere else, it wasn t good enough for him. I even told him I had a betta at home in a 3 gal tank and I could put in a separator, and that wasn t enough either. I guess they really want to keep their fish in plastic cups forever unless you either buy a tank from them (which are exorbitantly expensive, and that was the reason I wanted to go elsewhere for a tank) or you show proof that you have a FULLY cycled tank at home for your betta. The funny thing is, they sell betta tanks that are BARELY 1 gallon, and they have several cups of DEAD FISH sitting right at the sink close to where they were doing vaccinations on animals in the middle of the store. In trying to purchase a plant with my betta, wouldn t it be obvious that I was clearly going to re-home this fish? Even if it sat in a cup at in my home, is it THAT different from sitting in a cup at the store? All in all, an extremely poor experience. But I m grateful, in the end, because I went to PetSmart where I was greeted IMMEDIATELY and the workers there were so kind and helpful. Petco will never get my money again.
Vaccine visit was quick and reasonable
This place is way more than just a pet store! We were in a time crunch to get some vaccines for our 3 dogs and our vet is insanely busy, with the soonest appointment being almost 3 months out (that was only for 1 dog)....plus they want to charge $75 per dog just for a wellness visit that they require even to just get vaccines. I did a simple Google search for vaccines for dogs and found the Petco/Vetco site. This is now our go-to for vaccines for our pups. Registering all 3 dogs and getting back to back to back appointments was so simple! It took a total of 5 minutes for all 3! Email confirmations immediately and reminders the day before. When we walked in, we had no idea what to expect. The process was super simple! They checked us in, took pics of the pups to build the profiles and asked us some general questions, then took their weight and conducted a welness check (check was free!). We chose the vaccines we needed and had them tested for heartworms (to get a prescription for heartworm meds for each). Their on-site vet was there to oversee everything and to write the prescriptions. We were in and out of Petco with a clean bill of health, caught up on vaccines, and heartworm prevention medication for the next 6 months, and an at-home fecal test kit for each in less than 30 minutes total!!! Overall, it was an AMAZING experience! We love going there for everything fish and dog related to take care of our pets.
Went in for fish. Of course after wandering the one section for over 20 min with no employee to be found other than at the register. I had to go up 3 times asking for anyone to help. 1st person couldnt catch the fish, for 10min and gave up. Then someone that was allegedly good at catching thoes fish came. She was also unable to capture any of the fish. I was trying to get discus fish, 2 of them which are over 70$ bux each. She says that Im not going to be able to pick the fish. These fish are shaped like a 3 inch circle, they are very very easy to catch, you just need 2 nets. But after She said im sorry I wont be able to pick out the most expense fresh water fish they have in stock. I left, also left 3 70$ waterfalls and mabey another 130$ worth of stuff at the counter which i also intended on buying. So becues u were unable to catch a fish at a pet store, where u may be required to catch fish time to time, I was able to keep jus 500$ for a different pet store who cares enough to try. I just stopped working at a pet shop my self. This was a huge let down in service. Sad thing is, I expense this same thing At the same location almost every single time. Im surprised this location is even in business still.

We had an appointment at 2:45 for our toy poodle. Petco called asking us to drop her off earlier at 12:30 and we did. When we arrived, the groomer told us that it would take longer for our dog to be done as there were a couple of dogs ahead of her. She also said that she wanted to try and squeeze her instead of rescheduling. After four hours of waiting, we called for an ETA and was told it would take another hour. It makes zero sense that they would want me to drop off my dog sooner if they are going to tell me that shes going to have to sit in a kennel while she waits. If they told me this over the phone, I would have just rescheduled instead of being pressured to leave my dog with them and then take 5 plus hours to groom her. She is a 12 pound poodle mix and normally doesnt take more than 2 hours to get her groomed.
John has created a great team ! They have gone out of their way to help with new ap and get great service and price! John keeps a great store and goes out of his way to help pet parents.
Chey , the cashier was VERY rude Stood in line waiting for 10 minutes while she sat there building a dog cage at the check stand , saw me there kept going untill she decided to stop Then gets on a different register than I was standing at , and just stands there without saying a word. Then invites the next person in line to come up Chey -5 stars in my opinion never coming back

Will not be returning to this location. The blonde at the register had the worst attitude after I politely asked her about cage prices and price comparisons. I ve never walked out of an establishment rather than purchasing my items until today.
We came in to purchase a gecko today. The woman gave us all the information and sold us the leopard gecko tank kit. She instructed us to go home set it all up and come back to purchase the leopard gecko either later today or tomorrow. A different woman at the checkout AFTER we paid $90 and rang us up, while handing me my receipt very snakily says it s recommended to have a 20 gallon tank. We politely thanked her but had already made our purchase, based on the previous reps recommendation. A few hours later with tank set up at home and nicely heated. We were VERY RUDLEY told we cannot purchase the leopard gecko because we bought the 10 gallon tank THAT YOU RECOMMENDED. I am Still just in shock. It was so asinine. The tank even says leopard gecko kit. I was refused for a purchase, the animal I bought the kit for. I still cannot believe how rude we were treated. Appalled by this service and a broken hearted daughter we left. We drove the extra 2 miles to petsmart where the store was MUCH CLEANER. The animals much better cared for. The live insects are actually not dead. WHAT A JOKE your store is. Sadly the tanks there were a much better deal but alas we are using the one YOU recommended that we bought. The staff was so kind and gave us our sweet gecko. I am disheartened by our experience and we will NEVER be back. Shame on you. Sounds like you need to make some serious changes to your staff. In this economy you will not survive. God speed those poor animals you are trapping.

I came to petco searching for a pet rock . they didnt have any rocks in black or orange! very little selection of pretend pets....I also wanted peanuts for a friend who has a pet elephant ....no #50 pound bags of peanuts. Just jerky! Damn elephant almost bit me! terrible time to discover they dont like jerky and that it was all a scam! Ill never buy pet elephant food here again!

I take my husky to be groomed here by Aletha, and have been for the last year. He always looks great, and I dont hear things like, Hes anxious to be groomed. Shes the dog whisperer, I swear!
Honestly this is the closest pet store to my house. I m pretty much disappointed every time I go. The website will say products are at the location and then the store doesn t have it. One associate who normally works check out is always on her phone and I ve asked questions about products and animals and she has no clue. The manager is decent but it s very frustrating. Pick somewhere else
So my cats are kind of picky and they like a couple certain foods that I cant afford, of course they love all the super expensive foods but, no can buy! I live a half an hour away from this Petco and I didnt want to drive all the way up here to find out they didnt have the food I was needing for my cats tonight, so I called and one of the clerks went back and said yes we have 14 cans! I said perfect, Ill take them all! Thats some really nice customer service
I used to go to this location for all of my needs, it s even where my dog went to school. But I am massively disappointed and it looks like I m not the only one. My cat has been having stomach problems the last week and I ve been trying to figure out what it was (he s a ginger so I was VERY concerned) and today I was giving him his treat when I got a horrible idea check the expiration. I have no way to prove this as I had full faith a pet store would sell treats that weren t expired. But I got them in June of 2023 they expired august 24th of 2022. Mind you: I just picked this right off the shelves. My question is: how many products have missed this heavily of quality control??? It was nearly a year expired and no one did a thing?? It was just- on the shelf? I m very disappointed and will advise everyone I know to not shop at this location.
I brought my daughter in to buy a goldfish today - we picked out a fish bowl, rocks and a small plant. When it came time to get a fish, an employee (dark haired female) told me she couldnt sell me a (small) goldfish with the bowl I picked out. She said I would need to have an aquarium since the small goldfish could get to be 2 feet long. She said she assumed the goldfish was for my daughter and said a beta would be a better option for a child since the goldfish are usually dead by the morning.
We have a 40 gallon aquarium . We received advice from the fish expert She was so very wrong . The pair of paradise fish we bought ate 2 & killed 2 of the other fish . They wouldn t take the fish back because it was on the 15th day . The fish ate the others in day 13-14 .
I went in there to find some bird supplies. I couldn t find anything close to what I needed. They only had one cage and on top of it all they don t let the public use their restrooms.

I ve never had an issue with my dog being groomed at a petco location, and normally go to the Draper location but this location had availability on a Saturday. I got a call about an hour into the service that I needed to pick my dog up because he was anxious, and due to his age. I would be fine if they just left out the latter part, or gave me some sort of specific reason why they couldn t finish the job. My dog is 9, not young but physically in great shape. So I left with a wet dog and soap all over him that had been half washed. Fix your communication, I am not happy

Easy access and selection
I always love coming here. My dogs get spoiled rotten with the amount of different treats and toys we get. The employees at the register this last visit seemed to be distracted when trying to check us out. They are chatting with other employees and didnt engage with us as customers as I remember they used to. I will still be shopping here, their selection of toys and treats for our dogs are great.
I can always find what I need and more at Petco.
My daughter went to Petco to return a doggie vest that was too small. She had her receipt. It was barely over the 30-day window for a refund. I can respect that there are rules. However, there was a bigger issue. My daughter noticed that she was originally charged twice for that item. The cashier was extremely reluctant to correct the error. She treated my daughter as if she couldnt care less about the error. The cashier was rude, condescending & unprofessional. To top it off, she had the nerve to charge 10 cents for a plastic bag on her way out! Another issue was that it was an hour past opening time & the front doors had to be manually separated. This occurred Sunday, 12/31/23.

This used to be my favorite store for all of my pets needs. That s changed as their selection has gotten slimmer and to top it off, I received the worst customer service from the manager John. I bought a multivitamin for my dog and he didn t like it so I exchanged it; my dog still didn t like it so I went in to return the item and the manager John would only give me a partial refund to my card. The transactions were all within 30 days so there is no question that I was within the return period. The way he spoke to me was so rude and condescending. I asked him why he was only giving me a partial refund and he said I don t know I don t make the system . I could see the screen said cash was an option he could select yet refused to because I didn t pay cash. Well guess what, I also didn t pay in store credit! In a previous visit I saw him get in a screaming match with a customer and originally I had felt bad for him and the other employees, but now I can see why a customer would have been so frustrated dealing with an employee like him. I am never coming back to this location.

Horrible place! Cut my dogs skin and failed to tell me. Happened to notice as I was walking to my car. Their extra service of deshedding cause rash and sores on my dog.
Great staff, they know their stuff. I have shopped for multiple pets and always get great help and products.
They are always so willing to help. My child always goes up and asks exactly what shell need or how attentive she would need to be. ALWAYS gets a friendly response.

Knowing very little about fish, I set up a new aquarium for my son. I went to Petco to purchase the fish and there was an employee there ready to help me. He was very knowledgeable and helped answer all my questions. It was great!

This place was a shock! Poorly stocked A clerk sitting in the aisle, so she could stock shelves... Like sitting on the floor.. Then the stock available was picked over and way overpriced... OH, then we had the joy of waiting in line to check out!!! Weird
So I come into Pet Smart in Jordan Landing to get a prescription for my cat Im sent over to the food prescription area no idea what Im looking at so I ask this person in the hospital area and she walks me over to section and points look here if you need help ask someone in a blue shirt shes says and wonders off so I looked couldnt find what Im looking for so I go looking for someone in a blue shirt couldnt find anyone in blue so I just left so store short I think theres only one person that works in that store
Took our dag in for her shots. The young ladies giving the shots were efficient and very careful to keep Sammie comfortable. The girl checking in and doing the paperwork was quick and efficient. A good experience.

We came here for a quick stop to get the doggo a chew stick and snacks. They had some nice dog cloths and outfits. We found the building was clean and organized. Some shelf s seemed a little bare, but it could be a stocking day. Staff was friendly and helpful. They had us sign up for their rewards program. Prices seemed a little bit high, however we just moved back to Utah so it might be a location thing.

It was a lot like Walmart for pets. The animals that actually live there seem well at the moment.
The store is disorganized and understaffed. I was looking to buy some guppies today and couldn t seem to find anyone to help me. What s worse, while I was waiting and looking at the fish I noticed a large amount of dead fish in several of the tanks. It looked like they had been dead for a while and the other fish were eating the corpses. It was really upsetting to see how poor the conditions for these fish have gotten and I hope they get it taken care of quickly.
Clean, the store manager was very kind and helpful.
Three employees were chatting away acting bored while 6 dead fish were at the bottom of one of their tanks. A few more were almost dead. I told an employee that there were dead decaying fish making the water very dirty for the other fish. She said ya, those fish die all the time like it was a normal everyday occurence. She told me dead fish float to the top. Well, all you have to do is look at the bottom of the tank and see dead fish. She didnt want to get them out because she said the water made her skin red. (Probably because it was toxic. Poor fish!) The employees didnt seem to care about dying and dead fish due to dirty tanks.

Just had the most disappointing experience at this store. We went in to buy my son a gecko. After waiting thirty minutes for assistance, the employee that came to help was knowledgeable and helpful. As we got into things and educated, we realized a gecko was more work than our research had shown. Thanked her for her time and took care to return every last item in our cart to the exact location where we had gathered the items from. We then carried out some additional shopping, when I was surprisingly approached by this same employee who began to go off on me for making a mess of the reptile area and putting things wherever I wanted and not where it belonged. I told her there must be a misunderstanding, I had taken care to ensure I didn t make extra work for her. She proceeded to argue with me, called me a liar, and she wouldn t back down in her accusations towards me. I get that it s hard to find good employees right now, but this was just so uncalled for and so inappropriate in front of my young child. I ve never had an experience like this in a retail store. It was shocking and so uncomfortable. We won t go here again.
TERRIBLE and WORST Experience ! I purchased birds at this location and unfortunately a very rude, unprofessional and unhelpful woman named Kyra got me the birds. She also said I could not return the birds. Because of her bad attitude, I asked to speak to their supervisor to complain about her and supervisor said there is a 30-day warranty to return the birds. That day was my first time to get in to this store and I WILL NEVER go back to this store again because of her.

Your curbside pickup is awesome!! Also, they do a great job grooming my standard poodle. I will continue to take her to this location. Kylie, in particular, does a great job with poodle grooming!

AWEFUL prices! Literally everything is marked up 20% or more. And they can t argue it s higher quality because if you go to target next door you can find same brands for cheaper. Amazon is 1/3 of their prices on almost everything. Won t be using petco again.

They had one employee that was at the store on time. I had to wait 10 minutes for the second employee to show up, obviously late, in order to get some customer service. The third employee rolled in 20 min late. We bought some shrimp that were marked or we were told were one price then charged another at the register. The reptile tanks holding the lizards had not been cleaned for some time due to the large amounts of feces piled up in the corners. Not very impressed. I do not recommend this store.
They will mot meet the Petsmart prices on cans of dog food. They are closer than Petsmart but no RX FOOD. CLERKS FIRGET TO CHECK FOR POINTS UNLESS YOU REMIND THEM.

Went here to buy a fish for my kids as a pet, rude employees, when I asked for help acted like it wasnt there job to help decided to go to the salt lake location where they were 100% more pleasant & helpful. Plus their glow fish looked dead & when I told the lady she literally shook the cup they were & said it wasnt it -.-
The online pickup of the awesome deal, and the fact that they had the stock that I needed (10 Fish Tanks) was awesome! My classroom benefitted greatly from the quick and easy purchase and pickup!

I took my dog to dog obedience school. The trainer is phenomenal and everything we need for the puppy is found in the store.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The only concern is that at times the store is out of refrigerated Fresh Pet Vital grain free. This is the only food I will give my elderly Chihuahua. But all in all, it is a wonderful place for both my of pets needs.

Recently, my partner and I went to Petco in South Jordan to buy some Halloween costumes for our two dogs. My partner loves bearded dragons so we always make a point to go take a look. We were horrified by the conditions of the enclosures. There was feces everywhere, dead crickets, the lizards were eating their own feces. The lizards did not look healthy. I brought this up to two different employees while at the store. The first told me that they don t do lizards and the second was extremely disrespectful and essentially told me to mind my own business. When we left, I called Petco s customer service and was hung up on twice. I feel like if the employees aren t willing to take proper care of their animals, they shouldn t be selling them. I was extremely underwhelmed and disappointed in this Petco.
SO many dead Bettas, several look like theyve been decomposing for at least a week. Youd think that theyd at least check every day to remove the dead ones if theyre not going to take care of them properly.
Not a good place to get a dog tag. They had a very small selection. The print on them was awful, you could hardly read it. We tried at least 2 different kinds but they were all bad. They did refund our money tho.

And my pup is eating better and not running away from me when its time to walk. If you want a strong value proposition, that customer experience will bring me back and keep me from shopping online. Train all of your crew to be Kylieanns and it will set you apart from the competition by a mile.
