We trained our dog Aspen here after starting training in Austin. The team are all so professional, knowledgeable and so loving towards all animals and breeds. She absolutely loves all the trainers and she’s learned so much. We’ve done group classes, board and train and couldn’t recommend it enough for all dogs!
We took our 5 month old puppy here for 10-day boarding training and she had a lot of fun! They took such great care of her and had a great time with her. They send report card updates with photos/videos throughout the stay, we loved it. She also ended up being there on Thanksgiving and they sent a cute & funny themed photo 🤣 She learned 10 commands and is able to understand and perform them all. You get ongoing training and classes to keep you and your pup constantly learning and engaged! You can tell all of the trainers and staff care about what they do and truly enjoy it. I would definitely recommend this facility to friends and family if you are looking for a training program. It’s definitely worth it here!
I've used Sit Means Sit for two different dogs now, with very different personality needs, and have been nothing but thrilled with the results! They truly love dogs and helping owners learn how to have the best relationship with their dog. I would recommend them whether you have a puppy or an adult dog. Nothing is more exciting than watching your dog master a skill and SMS trainers will be there to assist you and celebrate with you along the way! Huge thanks from Lucy & I!
I can’t say enough good things about Sit Means Sit! Gypsy has learned how to be around people again! First off, James (our trainer) has loved her as much as we do, he has trained her to listen and be successful, he has taught us how to help Gypsy achieve through her triggers, Sage (another trainer who loves Gypsy) came to our home and helped us work through some of her struggles. I could go on and on! Thank you Sit Means Sit for helping us work with Gypsy so we can take her out and about and enjoy her as part of our active family!
We brought our mini Aussie for the 20 day board and train due to his and reactivity to other dogs and have not been disappointed! He has improved SO much from his training. Before finding Sit Means Sit, we felt paralyzed by his reactivity to everything that taking him anywhere was virtually impossible due to his extreme anxiety and overwhelm in any sort of new situation. We’ve had him home for 3 weeks now and the follow up lessons have been instrumental for us in really learning more about how to build his confidence and work with him to ease his anxiety. He has his first group class this weekend and are so excited to continue working with the trainers here, they have been wonderful!
We highly recommend Sit Means Sit! We’ve been working with both our dogs, Gretchen and Brooke, and have seen huge improvements with each. Gretchen, our strong-willed girl, has been a challenge, but the staff has been incredibly supportive in helping us work through her stubbornness. Brooke, our spirited girl, has loved learning and shown great progress. Sage, our trainer, has been fantastic during private lessons—she’s patient with both us and our dogs, helping us find the best ways to work with each of their unique personalities. The whole team is communicative, always willing to help, and provides effective solutions for any challenges. Thank you for everything!
Sit Means Sit does an excellent job training both your pet and you! The weekly one hour classes with other dogs and their parents really helped me more than other options where the training school doesn’t train the pet parent. Honestly I think I needed more training on how to communicate to my dog more than the reverse.
Sit Means Sit changed our lives! I have a reactive dog, and before she was blessed by these wonderful people, we couldn’t take her in public around other dogs, or even for a normal walk around the neighborhood. After only a week, my Cardi can be in the same room as other dogs, off leash, and she does so good at keeping to herself. We can go on walks without her dragging us down the road, and she’s so much happier now that she knows all the dogs aren’t out to get her. The staff at Sit Means Sit are so supportive and so helpful, and I know I will have lifelong support from them. I couldn’t be happier with our training. Thank you! This picture is from her first day of training- the trainers were so sweet for sending me this photo of her!
This place is AMAZING! Their staff is so friendly and my boy s trainer, Sage, is an absolute delight. She was so so patient with him and transformed him into the bestest boy! Thank you all!!!
Edit: Whitney the manager did make contact and after a quality and thorough conversation I will raise them a star for now. They do want to make things right for their clients. For prospective clients: do not neglect thorough questioning over the boarded care of your animal and how that whole arm of the process will function. My issues are with the boarding care of my dog more than the training. The training hasnt been overly impressive, but Im not yet disappointed. The care my dog received for the price AND how it was dealt with is where I have an issue. An owner called my partner on the LAST day, not even 2 hours before we picked up our dog, to tell us he was down 7 lbs. They claimed that he was fed his prescribed diet every day and that he ate it all, and so his high activity level was mostly to blame. They also made attempts at accountability by recognizing some failures in their process that led to his feeding not being increased and the weight loss being missed until the end. The owner also assured us that they didnt see a lot of change and that his ribs werent visible, but they see him everyday. They wanted to warn us in case we noticed something after not seeing him for 2 weeks. To me, that was a flat-out lie. Youd have to be blind to miss the weight loss. His ribs were ABSOLUTELY visible. So were his hips, his spine, and his shoulder blades. The owner who called asked my partner to let them know if there was anything they could do. I dont like that approach either. It feels like the responsibility of any restitution was on us rather than on the company. Poor customer service to me. In my mind if it was bad enough to call us on the last day, if it was bad enough to claim some accountabilities, if it was bad enough to cover your bases then its bad enough to make some offerings. There were none. Notify client: check. Take some accountsbility: check. Believe due diligence has been done without cost to the company: check. No refund of any kind for poor boarding care, or offering some free boarded days or nights, no offering of food vouchers or anything to assist our cost increase to rectify their error. Nothing. Just a phone call. On the last day. Less than 2 hours from pick up. My partner and i made the decision not to say anything at the time and continue with the transfer of leadership lesson and brought our dog home to continue to assess the situation. When we decided to contact the vet about the wight loss, potential health impacts, and how to properly return him to weight, the vet did not mince words when conveying how poor that kind of care is. The vet highlighted my dogs lean nature and how much muscle was likely lost and those impacts and then told us it would take 2-3 months to return him to weight healthily. SMS didnt even offer help or knowledge in how to reverse their error. In the end, the training met our needs, as basic as they were. The boarded care and how that business relationship exists was an extreme disappointment. It is unlikely that I would trust my other dog in their care. My suggestion to any potential client would be to ask ANY boarded training program more about pet care than the training process
Our experience at Sit Means Sit has been amazing! Kona has learned so much, and we re excited to see how she continues to grow.
Great place to go for dog training. The staff and owner are amazing. They are patient and provide you with the tools for you and little fur baby to succeed. I would highly recommend them to anyone that is looking to have an obedient dog.
Our dogs did do well with the training here! All the trainers are amazing and our dogs absolutely love them!
Awesome experience! We had our two pugs do the 10 day board and train and they are like different dogs now. We still have to keep up with their training but their reactivity is almost completely gone and they have learned a ton of commands-place, sit, down, quiet, and wait among others. The staff is super communicative and helpful and have been really great to deal with. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone.
We have 2 4year old Shepherd mix dogs who are territorial and aggressive with other dogs. We were looking for a training facility that allowed us to work with our dogs around other dogs as they are pretty well behaved by themselves. We began with private lessons with a trainer to improve our dog handling skills and improve our dogs behavior and response to commands. We re now transitioning into the group classes where our dogs have to behave while being around 20+ other dogs. Our control over our dogs and confidence in their behavior has improved significantly since starting training and we plan to continue the group training over the next year. What we thought separated Sit Means Sit from the other training facilities we looked at were the group training sessions and the opportunity to continue that training for a year. We re very pleased with our choice of training facilities and our dog s behavior continues to improve.
Awesome trainers! They are very knowledgeable and good at what they do. I have an older dog, around 11, and they were able to get her well trained. I would highly recommend them!
We got our two Scotties during covid. They never saw other people or dogs other than family members for about 2 years. They were complete Terrors and had to be locked up when someone came over and we could not take them anywhere. We opted for the complete training package. We do the weekly training that comes with it.They are now a joy to have and we can take them anywhere. The difference in our dogs are amazing. We are extremely happy with the results.
Worth every penny! I was someone who was a bit skeptical if I m being honest. I have a 1.5 year old Siberian husky and she is one sassy, hyper, reactive girl. I had tried everything and had so many moments where I felt so lost with how to properly get her under control, I didn t know what to do. All I knew was that I wasn t giving up on her. I decided to look into training facilities and Sit Means Sit popped up. The reviews were great, so I decided to go in for the consultation. I met with James and his puppy, and I was simply blown away. I went home and thought about it for a few days, asked them so many questions which they were so prompt to answer calming my nerves so I decided to sign up for the 10 day program. I was very anxious prior to dropping my dog off and the thought of her being gone for 10 days was so hard for me but they calmed my nerves when I dropped her off and the little check ins and videos, they provide made me beyond happy, I was like who is this dog?? When I went to pick her up, I was amazed. James was our primary trainer, and he is amazing. So knowledgeable and patient. My dog is a different dog now, she has her moments of course but nothing compared to before we brought her in to Sit Means Sit. The group classes after the training program are amazing as well, I think I have more fun than my dog does. I truly tell everyone I know about Sit Means Sit and I wish I had brought it past dogs I ve owned. All I know is going forward every dog will come here for training. Even if your dog isn t reactive or too much, I think every dog can benefit from the training. My only regret is not signing my puppy up sooner (that first year with her was hard) so all I can say is do it!
Sent me and said is the perfect dog training facility. My dog started going there. When he was a puppy and fell in love with all the instructors, I still bring him for tuneups, and he actually cries when he sees them and jumps on him, which is The one lesson they taught him that he didn t pay attention to. They are very loving to the dogs. and they are actual dog people that care about the well-being and happiness of your dog. The training is consistent, well run, Clean and everyone is really kind to both the dog parent and the dog I have they recommend it.
We have really enjoyed training at Sit Means Sit! Our dog, Juniper, has really learned a lot and is having fun. Juniper had a great time at puppy school, made friends, and grew a lot during day camp. James, Sage, and Ruby are super helpful with training tips and tricks, and are all-around great individuals to work with! We recommend Sit Means Sit to anyone looking for structure, direction, and fun training for their pup!
Crazy!! This training was worth the money, my dog was a lunatic(they still love him) and now he shows obedience and really is attentive off leash. Cannot recommend enough!
Really good for pet training, my dog is a puppy still and it takes patience. Whenever I have a problem and ask the trainers what do i do to fix the problem, they tell me the solution and im trying my best to keep it up consistently and it is working well. Thank you!
I have a reactive dog and we have tried many trainers before sit means sit. Their trainers are experienced and very nice. They will give you the tools to communicate with your dog and encourage better behavior through trust and experience. I cannot recommend them enough.
James and Sage are AMAZING trainers! They are both so knowledgeable, patient, and very clearly care about each and every dog that they work with. They were able to squeeze my pup into a 20 day board-and-train program within 3 days of our free consultation! My pup graduated from his board-and-train program 1 week ago, and the entire Sit Means Sit team has been so supportive by consistently texting and checking in on me and my pup s training progress. Sage has been quick to reply to any questions I ve had via text.
We brought Sturgill, our 7 month old Husky/Retriever Mix Sturgill for Day Training. The husky is strong in Sturgill so the trainers definitely had their work cut out for them. But, with patient, loving trainers like Sage and Ruby, Sturgill has progressed so far. Ruby was patient and thorough instructing my husband and I how to properly command Sturgill. Ruby consistently followed up with us to ensure any issues we were having at home were addressed. We always felt like we had an amazing support system to count on. Sturgill has graduated to group class and loves seeing all his trainers each week. Thank you for making Sturgill the best boy!
I would highly recommend using Sit Means Sit as a dog trainer. They work with a variety of dogs and behavioral problems. We found ourselves in a unique and unfortunate situation with our unpredictable rescue. James was amazing. He was professional, extremely knowledgeable, and patient not only with our dog but with us as owners. He helped us navigate a tricky situation and gave us unbiased opinions and support. On top of that, his training lessons with our dog were a great foundation for us to continue working from, in lessons or at home. It was a financial commitment but worth every penny to have their continued help and support. They genuinely care about the dogs and owners they work with! Thank you Sit Means Sit team! And Thank you James!
Ethan is a 6yrs old maltesse with separation anxiety, not friendly with others and with an aggressive attitude to groomer. Since he attended the 12 days training, he is doing really well! Ive started enjoying short trips with him. 100% Recommended
We couldn t be happier with our experience at Sit Means Sit! After a 12-day board and train, our dog has shown amazing improvement. She has excelled with commands like sit, place, come, heel, and many more. We re thrilled with her progress and can t wait to continue her training in the group classes. Thank you to the entire team for helping our pup become her best self!
The people at SMS are awesome and have really helped catalyze an amazing relationship between myself and my dog. I really appreciate the consistent communication they had with me for scheduling and on the progress of my dog s training. I would absolutely recommend their services for any dog training needs.
Amazing training staff and facility! Very happy with our experience. Set to train second dog!
We are absolutely over the moon with the training our puppy got and continues to get. We cannot wait to see how much he will continue to learn and grow and can t rave enough about the amazing staff that sit means sit has!!!
Wow we had our dogs boarded and trained and they went from annoying, problematic members of our family to obedient, joyful, playful, loving, pleasant members of our family! Honestly I was on the verge of saying we couldnt keep the dogs, and theyre so cute so that would be such a shame, but they made it so I love having these dogs in our house! I love taking them to the weekly group trainings and refreshing their skills. I was even able to take them to work and they just sat patiently on my desk. So cute!
I love them! They have helped so much with my 2 dogs. They have been able to help with my stubborn dachshund! They really care about the dogs and I didn t have to worry if they were safe.
We have enjoyed Sit Means Sit immensely. Both our dogs responded extremely well to the training, understood all of the commands and are better behaved. They and we enjoy the endless follow up training classes. The trainers are courteous and extremely knowledgeable. You can feel how much they truly love our Winston and Minney as well as all of the other dogs at weekly training class. Anyone s dog who goes to Sit Means Sit will benefit from the training and genuine caring.s Thanks!
We really like the people here. They do a great job.
Charlie has learned to be a well behaved good boy. I m very impressed with the knowledge and skills of the trainers. I would recommend Sit Means Sit to anyone.
The staff at Sit Means Sit are taking such good care of our puppy. They have been so responsive to our questions and keeping us updated with her progress through her training stay! Super supportive ! Would definitely recommend
My 18-month lab was very hard to manage. He s still got his puppy energy and is 75 pounds. He pulled, jumped up on people, and generally misbehaved. Walks were a chore and it was impossible to even let him in the house. After Sit Means Sit s board and train program, he s a different dog. He will stay in his place for hours while I work. No more pulling on the leash during walks. He s much more enjoyable and affectionate. I would never believed this could happen so quickly. James is a miracle worker.
The team at sit means sit have been absolutely amazing! They were so accommodating when we had a new baby and came out to our home to meet our Koda and discuss with us training options and help us find the best fit! We did the 5 day Day Training and have been over the moon with how great it s been! We were worried with training Koda he would loose his fun little personality but really training with him has just helped us have more control during times that are needed and important and he is still his goofy little self. James and Sage have been such wonderful trainers at personalizing the training to Kodas puppy behaviors and Koda loves seeing them! We highly recommend this program to anyone!
Abby, was almost 1 1/2 when she went to Board & Train at Sit Means Sit. I adopted her at 1 year. She s an Aussie and very smart and active. I picked Board & Train for her, she needed confidence and I am a full-time caregiver for my spouse, and didn t have the time or energy to devote to give her a good start. It was very hard giving her up for 2 weeks but worth it. I appreciate the time that was devoted to her by the trainers and the experiences she had that I didn t have time for. The follow up classes I take her to on Saturdays are continuing to build her confidence and socialization. She is amazed to be around sometimes 40 people and 40 + dogs, an experience I wouldn t have with her without Sit Means Sit. We learned about Sit Means Sit from a good friend who used them with their 2 Dobermans in Cleveland. We first experienced them by boarding our dogs when John & Teresa were there. We have also referred several friends to them.
We have had a fantastic experience with the Team at Sit Means Sit. Communication about appointments has been great and they were flexible when we needed to make a last minute change. The trainers clearly love dogs and our dog had no hesitation going into the training facility each day which made us trust that she was getting the right care and attention despite being under intense training. The follow up session has been incredibly valuable, and the homework exercises have been tailored what is important to us, rather than rigid training exercises. We have noticed a significant difference in our dog in a short period of time and also know that with ongoing group training, our dog (and her humans) will continue to improve. I am really happy to recommend Sit Means Sit.
I sent Ace my rescue dog from the shelter to Sit Means Sit for the 10 day board training program and boy what a difference it made in Ace s behavior. I received videos and report cards during the process and my texts were returned timely. The encouragement and suggestions from the trainers helped me become better skilled at helping Ace become an awesome dog!!! Ace and I are involved in group training class every week and we both enjoy meeting other dogs and their owners. The investment into Ace s training was well worth every penny!! I highly recommend Sit Means Sit in Salt Lake City, the staff is top notch!!!!
Staff is amazing and their training methods are spectacular. Just started the puppy classes with my little one. I am excited to see how she grows. ****UPDATE*** It has been 3 months and they are everything and more. The staff works with you and the classes are amazing for training your dog. They are engaged and truly care about the growth of your puppy. I cant recommend these guys and gals enough. Make the change for your little fur baby and enroll in sit means sit training. I promise you that you will not be disappointed.
Luna was a very good dog and now is awesome. So much more control for us with her. Feel much safer, and having fun!!!
Amazing guidance and instruction. Made our puppy even more lovable then she was before.
Absolutely recommend!! Our pitbull puppy picked up quick on the training. We did puppy preschool, 10 day board and train, and group classes for continuing her training. Mia is a rock star and she knows how to jump on the hydrant now, so stinking cool! We can t wait to keep up her training and always enjoy the tips and tricks from the trainers. Thank you for providing us the tools and the unlimited help we need to help Mia succeed. I look forward to bringing in any future dogs we get.
If you have Sit Means Sit train your dog i can say that it is an amazing course, our trainer Sage was amazing with our 2 doggos
Wow what an amazing spot where we got our fur babies trained, Sage is an amazing trainer and is now part of our doggies pack
Sit Means Sit has truly been a lifesaver for our family. My two boys used to be like oil and water, but now they can be together peacefully. This transformation has been life-changing. While were still learning, I no longer worry about them being in the same room together. Were forever grateful for all the hard work that has brought our boys together.
Sit Means Sit has been great. We have a high energy pup(Sage) that loves to work, but can be pushy from time to time. The crew at sit means sit have not only taught Sage skills and commands, but have taught us how to instill and practice this obedience. We are excited to continue to work with this awesome group of people that care for Sage as much as we do!
Sit Means Sit was so great for our Brandy! She was very shy/afraid of EVERYTHING - They helped Brandy build her confidence, learn some new commands, and be an overall happier girl. Thanks, Sit Means Sit!
Me and my dog Duncan just finished the day training program and he graduated to start group classes! I didnt think this would be possible. He always pulled on walks and wouldnt listen to me. That has all changed. The trainers are all great! Luana and Sage are awesome. We are excited to continue our training with Sit Means Sit!
My dog and I love our trainer, and all the others we ve encountered we had several accidents that led us to sit means sit.. wish I had known about them sooner.. The trainers care about your dog. Mine shuts down easily and he never did. Matter of fact he loved to see them which made me happy.
We love our team at SMS! I m so proud of the progress my deaf frenchie, Zero has made and it s all thanks to the knowledgeable team we have at SMS. Today was our first group class and zero did such a good job. He is wiped out! Looking forward to our new Saturday morning ritual for the next year and a lifetime relationship with SMS
I cant say enough good things about Sit Means Sit. They have been fantastic to work with. We have mainly worked with Sage (who is fantastic) during the board and train and our follow up visits, and she has done such an amazing job helping us feel comfortable with how to continue the training at home. Our dog is so much better behaved and follows commands even better than I was expecting. Totally worth the investment! If you are even thinking about it, just do it. You wont regret it (expecially with this training facility).
Our boys went to Sit Means Sit as wild animals and came home two little distinguished gentleman. They not only trained our dogs how to be the best boys, but also supported us to know how to continue their progress at home so we could be confident no matter where we take them. Every dog parent should check this training out!
They did a great job with our dog. They put a lot of time and effort into him and the results showed. Dog number 2 went through the program. Awesome results
After having our husky-heeler for a year and a half, we decided that it was time to get him trained to make our lives (and everybody else s lives) a little bit easier. We heard great things about sit means a it, and we were not disappointed!! Their boarding training was super successful and he improved leaps and bounds!! The follow-up trainings were very informational and very helpful for us as dog owners and completely judgement free. For the first time since we ve had him (almost 2 years) we feel like we can actually go places with him and enjoy our life with him! He s such a good dog with a vibrant personality and now we can actually show that off to people!!!
We love Sit Means Sit! The trainers are amazing and always willing to provide one on one training. Group classes are engaging and challenging. Watson has learned so much in just 3 months and me too! Highly recommend!
Great trainers
We have a beagle and knew it would be tough to train him but they ve done such a great job with him! He s so much less reactive to other dogs and does so good with following commands. He s still got some work to do but they include a lot of follow up training sessions which have been really helpful so we can be trained too. Definitely recommend!
We HAD two fairly bad dogs. Sit means Sit was life changing for us! Everyone has been so impressed with how good our dogs are now. We are so happy! The staff is so helpful and friendly. Could not recommend more
Since the moment of our first consultation, to having Monty boarded, to seeing how far he s come was a drastic change. I had James work with him while he was in boarding and was super great in keeping me in the loop with updates. Kai & Luana have been so sweet and super patient with passing off commands and teaching me how to better help Monty. I truly appreciate all their hard work and helping Monty become more well behaved.
We were so overwhelmed bring a 2month old puppy home and our sweet Hazel has soooo much energy. After puppy preschool and her board and train she is like a whole new pup. Their constant attention to her specific needs and personality makes such a difference and they are always reaching out to give us additional support in between her training sessions.
Sit Means Sit is the answer if anyone is asking! We have 2 rescue dogs that are high energy and they were running wild. I have never had to train puppies but my friend said go see Sit means Sit! And yes indeed that was the right choice. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and the bottom of the trash bag with all the chewed-up shoes that will happen no more.
We put our high energy cattle dogs in the 10 day board and train program. One was 6, one was 2, and the other a puppy. Our older one is a stubborn Blue heal/ aussie mix, and even after the 10 day program she didnt quite listen to the commands well. Sit Means Sit decided to take her back for 5 more days to try to fine tune her listening skills with commands. On top of all that they have your dogs well being as a top priority. Our oldest injured herself in the program due to kennel related anxiety. They took her to the vet and because we purchased insurance with them through our training package it didnt cost us anything extra. And they updated us on her care. The owners truly love the dogs they take into their program and look out for their wellbeing. They also ensure the owners of the dogs are set up for success once the dog is returned to you. You get a few private lessons and then weekly group lessons to get your dog fully trained to listen on the first command. The 10 day program gets your dog to the point where they know all the commands and expectations. But dont expect a perfectly trained dog after that. Practice at home makes perfect. They also use a texting system, which is nice. So when your at home and struggling with a specific command, you can text them to get feed back on what you can do to resolve the problem. Their after support is great.
James, Luana, and everyone at Sit Means Sit took great care to make sure our 95 pound baby is learning how to behave in all situations. It s an ongoing process, and they re making it fun and interesting. Not sure who the rookie is Us or the dog. Either way, it s a program that works, and I m glad we chose it.
What a difference in my pup. Sit Means Sit has changed our lives when it comes my lab s behavior. They took the time to make sure we were trained too, so that we could keep up with his training.
Trainers were incredible. Our dog Rocko loved seeing them at the follow up visits. We were so nervous to do the 20 day board and train, and we have no regrets. She had a blast and came back so well behaved!
Today my dogs sat without fussing while we had a visitor. They also maintained their crazies while we were visiting Grandmas house. None of this would have been possible without the training and on going support we receive from sit means sit. I would recommend this training program for anyone who has struggled with training. I love that I can call or text anytime we are having issues and they are there to help problem solve and support our family through this process! All the trainers are so knowledgeable and helpful!
Sit Means Sit has done amazing with our dog Tecova. Hes definitely a stubborn dog and theyve had so many great tips to help with that. We started him with puppy training and have put him through two ten day trainings. Hes progressed so much since he started. Our favorite thing about this training is its life long and its to made to fit our lifestyle. They understand that one training type does not fit all. We have follow ups and can take him to the social trainings whenever he needs a tune up. The entire staff, including the owners, have been extremely helpful and Tecova loves going there, which shows to us that they care about him and love him! Thank you Sit Means Sit for being such an awesome training facility. If you are looking for somewhere you can trust your pups with, check them out!
I arrived at the facility and Paulie was so well behaved and focused on his training that he didnt even notice I was there! The board and train program has set an excellent foundation to build upon and I would not be where I am today without getting started with SMS!
Sit means sit was fantastic! Our dog was unable to behave in public and was so reactive but after their 20 day board and train he came back a whole new dog! We can now enjoy going out in public! I would 100% recommend sit means sit!
My girl Roomie has learned so much, and continues to!!! I m beyond thrilled with her training and progress. The Staff s love for animals is palpable, and the dogs can feel it too. Roo is exhausted after her sessions (and so am I TBH ) but in all the good ways. The staff and trainers are A++ in communication, knowledge, consistency, and follow up. Best decision ever!!
My experience with Sit Means Sit has been very positive. All staff are professional, knowledgeable and really care about what they are doing. Ive been blown away by how quickly my dog picked up skills and how much fun she seems to be having. I feel like my investment was well worth it.
Love this place. I have two well manner Mals and it s all thanks to the Sit Means Sir training system and staff! Couldn t recommend SMS any more!!!!!
Great staff who care about the dogs who come there and take pride in their training!!!
Would highly recommend. Sit Means Sit Salt Lake City offers a handful of wonderful services to train you and your dog. The staff are great, each member is very skilled at what they do and are a blast to interact with. The programs are a great way to navigate the ups and downs, ins and outs of training a well behaved companion. It s hard to tell who liked working with Sit Means Sit more, us or our dog.
My Boy is much more well behaved. He has his moments like any pup. It I am so grateful to all the trainers that have worked with us.
I absolutely love the out come of the training and will be a life time customer! The trainers are amazing! They don t just train your dogs, they train you to! I have three dogs that have gone through the program, and I would do it again in a heart beat! The group classes have helped us learn how to properly socialize, and how to behave with many distractions around. Overall 10/10!
Sit Means Sit is absolutely AMAZING. We brought my dog in as an extremely reactive, large size dog. He was afraid and very insecure and unsure of everything around him. He s come so far since being in the program and it makes me so happy to see his confidence grow, along with his quality of life. He has made a complete turn around. I wasn t able to take him anywhere because of his reactivity but since then he s been awarded his Canine Good Citizenship award and was able to attend an event at the park with many other dogs who weren t trained. He was able to remain perfectly calm. I ve also put my other pup Basil in training with them and she s becoming such a great dog. Both of them, have been given the chance to become their best selves. Not to mention, they re best friends now. The trainers are so helpful, supportive, knowledgeable, and truly care about each dog as if they were their own. Every dog I own from here on out, will be put in training with Sit Means Sit. Without a doubt. Forever grateful for our trainers and for Sit Means Sit. I would give 10 stars if I could. Thank you!!!!
We sent our very reactive Australian shepherd here for the 20 day board and train and we are SO pleased with the results! It s definitely continued to be a work in progress but sit means sit makes it easy to continue his training with the lifetime private and group classes. We can now do activities with our pup that we never could have dreamed of doing and he is so much happier as well! James in particular is a fantastic trainer and goes out of his way to connect with the dogs and figure out what they need. Can t recommend enough!
We took our sweet Presley to Sit Means Sit starting as a puppy and we have been so happy with the training we have received and her progress so far. We started with the puppy preschool which we absolutely loved and then did the 10 day board and train. The puppy preschool was a great way for her to socialize with other puppies, and awesome for us to get her training started in small ways. She s been doing great since the board and train and we have received great follow up and help since then. Luana and James have been especially great to work with. We couldn t be happier with the support we have received!
Sit Means Sit has been amazing for our dog Finn. Initially working with James one on one and continuing to work with all the amazing trainers in group class, Finn has become one of the best behaved dogs weve ever had.
Sit means sit was great! I did the puppy preschool and it really helped me learn how to train and bond with my puppy. I was originally going to do the board and train but due to personal issues had to cancel, and Luana was super understanding and made the whole situation a lot easier to handle!
This is a great program my dog has learned SO MUCH. All off the trainers are great special shout out to Ashley for being so patient with the first couple weeks!
Excellent training experience. We sent our 6 month old Rottweiler to do the 10 day board and train and he learned all the important commands! Theo is doing so well! 10/10 recommend!
I did alot of of research on dog training services around Salt Lake before deciding to go with Sit Means Sit 20-Day board and train program and boy did I make the right decision! My boy Apollo is my first dog and a rescue from the shelter, I didnt really have a clue what I was doing when it came to training but I tried my best and was getting frustrated when I wasnt really seeing much progress, when he came home from board and train I was shocked! It was like a night and day difference. They gave my boy a great foundation for me and him to continue strengthening what he learned at what I like to call Doggy Summer Camp, His trainer James has been absolutely amazing to work with, it truly feels like they care about you and your dog and want you to live your best lives with eachother without worrying about not having control, especially when it comes to keeping your fur baby safe when youre out on adventures. I really cant reccomend these guys enough, if your debating on what trainers to go with definetely go with Sit Means Sit! I guarantee you will not regret it, their services are worth every penny!
I have attended Sit Means Sit since 2021. My older dog has benefited from training and classes. This past year I enrolled a new puppy and find the quality going down. Classes are overcrowded promoting aggressive behavior from too many dogs in a small place. No positive learning in class.
They are great trainers. My dog has approved a ton.
This place man. Its a game changer. I sent my 10 YEAR OLD and 5 YEAR OLD and its like a new life for us. I feel like our dogs have wanted direction, stability, etc for a while now because they are doing amazing. Totally worth the investment. Couldnt recommend this place more! Also my dogs have severe separation anxiety and I can tell a difference in that too. The support and communication is unmatched. Sammy has been such a wonderful and patient teacher to us.
Sit mean sit has changed my life and my dogs life for the good
The people at Sit Means Sit are miracle workers through and through. My little man, Jammbers, was aggressive and destructive. After their Board & Train program, hes been amazing! The best part, is that they still keep your dogs personality in tact, which lots of other trainers dont do. 10/10, best dog trainers ever!
We were at our wits end with our deaf 1 year old aussie, Luna. She used to be extremely stubborn, loved to run away, destroy anything and everything, and had an awful habit of jumping all over people. We couldnt have guests over because of her. We sent her to the 2 week board and train and she was such a well mannered dog after. She learned a bunch of new hand signs and manners. They sent us a bunch of updates and gave us a 1 hour lesson when we picked her up followed by 3 private lessons(with the option of more if needed). She goes to their group training twice a week now in their advanced classes and is learning so much! Shes become one of the best trained dogs and we get compliments everywhere we go!
I m going to straight up recommend this place to everyone! I have a 2 year old Aussie mix high energy dog if you know after 5 days she spend here with them she s a complete new dog, listens on command and heals without a leash ! Now that s impressive without sit means sit she would ve never improve in such a little amount of time! If you guys don t have the time or patience I m telling you ! This is the place for you guys 5 days it s all it took, give it a try it ll change your life forever aha
The Staff has been very friendly and has been so helpful with my Boston terrier. She came back with knowing sit, place, and resolved behaviors such as jumping on people or play biting. They came to my home and helped me teach her how to use the doggy door and suggestions. I would highly recommend them to anyone!
Was recommended to sit means sit by several people and they did not disappoint. After the first 10 days of the 20 day program my blue heeler mix came home with great improvement and goes back for 10 more days next month. Was hesitant at first about doing a board and train but they make the process super easy, answer any questions you have promptly, and send multiple updates and progress reports during the training. Will definitely recommend to anyone looking for a training program that shows results
We are so excited to bring Lulu home and work on all her new skills.
We have loved Sit Means Sit and the training we received for our puppy. The staff is very friendly, accommodating and patient with all the dogs and owners that came to class. Our little puppy loved the trainers and we learned a lot. Totally recommend Sit Means Sit for all dog owners.
Everyone at air means air has done a phenomenal job working with my dog, Onyx. Onyx is a smart but stubborn Australian shepherd who gets distracted very easily, he now has manners around other dogs. It used to be stressful taking him hiking because he felt the need to sniff every dog, but now he is doing really well at ignoring other dogs. I m excited to continue working with them and see Onyx s continued progress!! I would recommend this company to anyone with a dog whether you re just seeking training for basic manners or a reactive dog. Thank you sir means sit!
These guys have been great to work with and helped my puppy and I learn so much. Sammy, James, Heidi and Luana have been awesome. There s three things that are very clear when dealing with Sit means Sit. They know what they re doing, they have the experience to back up their methods, but most of all they care, and it shows. I went with the board and train, I missed my puppy a ton while away but the leaps he made while in their care was really awesome to see.
The program and the staff are top notch! They have helped us immensely, we have been trained on how to train our dog. The built a great foundation of obedience and we have seen great success.
Signed up for the 10 day boarding program with my stubborn mini dachshund. After the program she returned a whole new dog. Obviously needed continuous training but the staff has been great with follow up training and making sure Duch is getting everything she needs to be successful. Staff is very professional and well knowledgeable with dog handling and training. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to correct their dogs behavior or help them become the best dog they can be
Great experience, great training, couldnt be happier with the results!!
My dog Winston did the 5-day train and he loves school! His ears are more than decor now
$4375 for dog training. I was going to do it, I felt the lady who did our consultation was going to do a great job helping to train our dog and I was fully on board. HOWEVER, for $4,375 I do not expect to have to pay extra to make sure if my dog is harmed you take her to a vet AND more than that you expect me to measure out 30 servings of dog food into zip lock bags because they cant trust their dog experts to measure out the food? End of the day poor customer service can ruin a phenomenal business. RESPONSE TO OWNERS REVIEW: Several things were misstated in the response from owner. With the first phone call to register me I told the lady I wouldnt do 30 bags of measured dog food. IF I have that sort of time I would be using a different training option than boarding to train. She said, OK, we can do that for you. So we continued with registration and I thought we were done. After a short period I got a phone call from a person who introduced themselves as the office manager and she said I pre measure the food or I dont use them, so I said cancel and they said ok. I just got off the phone with health department and whole the food must be in sealed containers or we cant use it is a complete lie. IF this is the case Ill bring it in a sealed container, but again for $4,375 dollar I believe someone who I am trusting with my dog can use a measuring cup to measure the food. FOR THAT MATTER, Ill even leave my measuring cup just incase we question what exactly a cup is. I agree with them that quality services do cost more, but no quality service would let a customer walk over something such as this. MY QUESTION to potential customers, do you trust your beloved pet to a company who apparently cant be trusted to measure food?
We put my dog Riggs in about 2 or so years ago in the board and train and this dog was not very friendly with other people and over the 2 years that we ve been going to the class I have seen so much improvement as well as my sisters dog who is extremely energetic is also showing improvement after only being in the class for a little less then a year. If you put in effort for your dog and go to class you will definitely see results definitely worth the money and a good class. I ve gone to this class quite a lot and observe my dogs and they ve gotten so good. All you have to do is put in the effort not to mention the great bonding experience with your dog
I have the sweetest bulldog, but one day for seemingly no reason he started showing reactivity to other dogs despite doing fine at dog parks, puppy day care, and first grade puppy classes. It got to the point I dreaded even walking outside my door with him, and made me wonder if I was going to have to rehome him since all my family and friends have dogs of their own and I could not bring him around. Sit Means Sit came highly recommended, and I now understand why. My boy and I can go out now, even to parks with untrained dogs, and I know how to control him, watch for signs of stress from him, manage outbursts if they do happen (but they really dont anymore), and I finally can start bringing him around family and friends with other dogs and trust him enough to actually enjoy myself. Yes, the program is pricey, esp. if you need to do boarding, which I did for my boy, but what you pay for is ongoing, pretty much unconditional support. When my boy was proving to be a bit much to handle, the owner himself came and worked with him and me and it was groundbreaking. Weve literally called the trainers in the afternoon and said please help us, today and theyve come to our apartment to work, multiple times a week. Youre going to get out what you put in to this program. I was skeptical at first because of the cost threshold, but I am so grateful I stuck it out and did everything for my best friend I could before giving up, because now we can go places together and see other dogs without issue. I can finally go visit my family without exiling my dog. Trust the process and what they are telling you and asking you to do, and be consistent, and Sit Means Sit will work for you too.
We chose Sit Means Sit for Santana (aka the Daughter of Satan.) Her anxiety is through the roof and we wanted to take her somewhere that would help us know how to handle it and her better. Everyone who works here is wonderful. They care about the dogs and really love them all. Santana is an all star at finding any crack she can in her training and blowing through it. The trainers were really great at coming up with different styles of training to try on her. They understand that there isn t a single blueprint for all dogs when it comes to training. Everyone in class is also great. You won t find a more inclusive group of people who understand what you are going through with your dog. I would recommend this training to anyone and I really think it is worth every penny!
These trainers have been incredible. We were at a breaking point with our 2 year old dog and didn t know what else to do. We came here and did the 3 week board and train hoping for the best, but not sure how things would turn out. We have had her home for months now and her behavior has turned around dramatically. The updates we received during the boarding were awesome, and the follow up training that we have done since getting her have made all of the difference. These guys have made us feel so welcomed and we can not recommend them enough
They are wonderful to work with! Our puppies are behaving so well and each lesson they are improving.
12/10 recommend bringing your dog here. No matter what your dog needs for training! Our dog needed a 10 day board and train after we rescued her four months prior. She just had some anxiety and needed a little bit of obedience work. She is literally a completely different dog. We have our lives back and she can live a better one. I love everybody there, they are so kind. Megan has primarily been working with us, and we love her so much and so does our pup, Jade! I seriously can t write enough good things or recommend them enough!!!!!
Great service with immensely skilled trainers. I purchased the 10-day board and train services for my mini dachshund and I could not be more satisfied! Luna is a soldier when I got her back lol. But in all seriousness, they have been so helpful in my questions about training for Luna afterwards and they are immensely accommodating in any additional trainings that I want to address for my little Luna. I definitely recommend Sit Means Sit. They are truly amazing.
Can not express how much we are grateful and impressed with Charlie our 6 yr old saint s training. It has been night and day and you can teach an old dog new tricks (and his parents too) . Can not say enough and so thankful we came to Sit means sit you gave us the tools to be assertive and good pack leaders to Charlie!
This has been the very best thing for our family! All if the trainers we have worked with have had so much patience and have held our hands through this experience. I would recommend Sit Means Sit to anyone with a dog!
This is in-depth comprehensive review to tell you everything you need to know about Sit Means Sit. Let me start off by saying, I seldom write reviews but I feel so strongly about this company I felt urged to hop on and share my thoughts. I mean it so sincerely when I say, there is no better place around to train your pup. This company isnt just a training organization, it is a community in every sense of the term. Ive never experienced such incredible support, encouragement and positivity from a company like I have here. When I say that the care about your dog, they CARE about your dog. My biggest fear when finding a trainer was that they would be so nice on t he surface, but treat my dog like a task behind the scenes. They truly make deep connections and relationships with every animal they train because they understand dogs all have different needs and learn differently. They train in such a kind way, they are positive but incredibly effective. Safety is always their number one concern. The trainers here are beyond knowledgeable and insanely helpful. After starting with them, any time I have had questions, I could call or text and they would quickly respond with individualized tips and tricks. They have even recorded personal videos for me and sent me to youtube link so I could see exactly what they were saying. What other company would do something like that?! It blew my mind. They are so incredibly patient because they know that training the dog is also understanding that the owner needs to learn too. Nicole started our training and was incredible with our pup. She was with us with through every redundant question and literally walked beside us as we learned to communicate with our dog. Sam has spent hours of her own time educating us on aspects of picking and training a puppy that I has no idea about. She cares so much about the wellbeing of your dog and truly wants you to be successful. Ashley goes out of her way to be helpful and friendly. She keeps me sane and is so incredibly positive. She gives me all the encouragement I need on our training journey. Megan is who convinced we needed Sit Means Sit in our lives. She is an incredible trainer and even better resource. I could go on and on about everyone on the team. There isnt a single trainer I wouldnt recommend working with, and I understand the weight of that statement. Our dog is reliable, obedient, and most importantly HAPPY. We can trust him completely and his quality of life is immeasurably better because of these people. You dont join a class, you join a community who works with you to give you the skills and tools to be comfortable and confident with your dog, and the community is for life. You dont just finish 6-weeks of classes and part ways like the majority of trainers out there. The relationships you make are lasting and so valuable. I have no obligation to write this review, I am taking my own time to tell anyone willing to read: this is where you want to be...this is where you want to grow. It is worth every penny and I would refer anyone who wants to invest in their pup. I urge you to call for a consultation and experience it for yourself. It is so clear that this place is special and I am eternally grateful that we found Sit Means Sit.
Our golden retriever had terrible behavior from the moment she was a puppy. She scratched, bit, barked, scratched, jumped, and couldnt settle down to save her life. I spent hours training everyday, but as soon as she saw me with no treats, the bad behavior would start all over again. One day I was at my wits end. I found Sit Means Sit on the web and callled them immediately. They have trained our dog and have given us lessons on what to do in certain circumstances. We are so happy! We feel like we have a brand new dog.
I cannot say enough good things about Sit means sit dog training. One thing is every step of the way has been safety for both dogs and handlers. First and foremost. To begin we had to provide proof the had all there vaccinations done. Then we were able use the board and train with my families two dogs Ruby[Red Heeler] and Ahsoka [Rottweiler]in October. After the board and train they came back as different dogs. But in a good way. But that is just the beginning of our journey. The second step was they came to the home a few times to verify their progress before putting the other students and handlers with our dogs to be sure they were a safe fit. They spent a few weeks in basic Before moving them to a larger group classes. We are going to class every week. Learning new things and getting things down. Ahsoka[Rottweiler]i and Ruby [Red Heeler] used to take me for a walk. Now they dont pull nor attack the leash. Without the guidance from Sit means sit these dogs may have ended up as unruly monsters. But when I take one of them for a walk they listen and are well behaved dogs. And particularly Ahsoka [Rottweiler]ipeople litterly walked across the street as we were coming the other direction now I get compliments on how well behaved she is and people walk up and pet her.. My sons dog Ahsoka [Rottweiler] As well as Ruby [Red Heeler] my daughters dog are both doing very well. The staff has been very instrumental in helping us get the commands down and the work done and being realistic about our expectations with dog training is not just graduated and done it is working with yor dog and being consistent and going through even the basics.
We have had a wonderful experience. James is the best trainer, he really seemed to build a relationship with our dog and she responded so well to him, hes been able to guide us in helping her be the best she can be.
Such an amazing experience. We were so happy with our dog coming home and have enjoyed our time with him. Sit Means Sit is easy to contact and reaches out promptly. From the first day of contact, I have felt like my dog is important to them. Thank you!
My dog had severe leash reactivity and was overall a very anxious dog whenever we took her out and about. I have a very active family, we are always camping, baseball games, hikes, markets etc. This made it difficult to take her anywhere with us and as a result she would have to stay Home a lot as I couldn t even take her for a walk peacefully. Sit Means Sit has transformed my dog and this means so much to myself, my family and of course my dog is happier now that she can join the family fun out and about free from her reactivity. Thank you to the trainers who have helped us!
I had both my dogs apart of the training programs. From the consultation to the personal training to the follow up check ins they have done - it has been an amazing experience and I feel they went above and beyond what I ever expected. One dog was apart of the boot camp and I was provided update texts and pictures and videos and knew my dog was being well taken care of. I have noticed huge differences in my dogs and my self. I m no longer anxious to take my dogs for walks around the neighborhood and have been able to do fun things and activities with my dogs that interact them with other dogs and humans that last year me would have never thought possible. I am very appreciative to them for this amazing opportunity they have given us.
I love how they work with all dogs and their personalities. Backstory- I have a 6 year old dog that I trained and was very well behaved, so felt confident getting another dog. This puppy was nothing like my older dog. She would attack other dogs when they approached her, bark at the doorbell/ anytime someone came in the house, climb fences, not obey boundaries, ect... At about 18 months old I knew I needed some guidance. They helped me understand her aggression towards dogs she doesnt know is anxiety and not that she is a mean dog. They were able to help me find tune basic training and Ive been able to use those skills for my other dog at home as well. She loves to make us happy and is so glad to know what she can do to make that happen. I really appreciate the group classes in helping her learn to focus on me when other dogs are around and we are learning to ignore them. We still have work to do, just like any relationship you want to keep healthy. Thank you for teaching me how work with my dog and how to advocate for her with other dogs.
Sit Means Sit is an incredible place! We love all the trainers! They have helped our puppy and us so much. Sam really helped us get heel down. Our puppy LOVES James and Ashley because they are so excited to see her. The owner even reached out to me when our puppy got sick. They really care about dogs. Sit Means Sit helped train us as first time dog owners. We would highly recommend them. Our puppy loves going to her classes each week! They are the BEST!
I can t say enough positive words to describe our experience and Sit Means Sit! Our experience has been wonderful. They keep you posted with updates as to how your dog is doing while in their care. They truly care for your dog and it s well being. They are patient with the owners and give the best advise. We did the 10 day board and train program. It is life changing! All of the employees are wonderful to work with! I highly recommend this business.
We took our 11 week old pug there to get an early jump start on training. She started the puppy preschool to get her familiar with other dogs and small commands she did so well! After we did the private classes at our home and the trainers were so amazing with her and they were always so friendly! We are now graduated to group classes and our dog is so well behaved thanks to sit means sit. Highly recommend!! Thank you sit means sit!
Love the whole team and their training methods.
Our 2 year old German Shepherd has transformed into the dog we ve always wanted with the help of Sit Means Sit. After the 20 day Board and Train, Stark came home a different dog. Sit Means Sit provided us with the foundation and tools to enjoy training and adventures with our dog while maintaining her reactivity and building confidence. After struggling to bring Stark anywhere for a year, we put our faith and trust into the trainers at Sit Means Sit to put us on a better path. I urge anyone who is looking for training (from group class to private lessons to board and trains) to consider Sit Means Sit. I was immediately impressed with the patience, compassion, and commitment they have to each and every dog that walks through their doors. Big thank you to James for guiding us through the process and believing in our dog when we lost all confidence. You have truly given Stark, my husband, and I a new lease on life.
I can t express how happy I am with the training our 5-month-old Doberman puppy received from Seat Means Sit. Thanks to their expertise, our pup has mastered essential commands like sit, down, wait, and heel. The transformation is incredible not only has he stopped biting, but he s also a joy to walk now. The trainers here truly know their stuff, and I highly recommend Seat Means Sit for anyone looking to turn their energetic puppy into a well-behaved companion!
I have had an amazing experience with the trainers here. My corgi (Megabyte) was just a puppy when I started working with them and they did an amazing job training her and working with me to best apply the training. They provide tools and information that make the training a breeze. I highly recommend them to everyone who has or is considering getting a dog.
I ve brought two dogs through sit means sit and both dogs have come out the other end with a full 180 transformation. Savannah helped us with siren this most recent training and she did so amazing at building sirens confidence through her training. Super excited to keep working with her.
Best dog training ever!! The staff is amazing!! Savannah is so great she worked wonders! Honestly was a different dog before and is amazing now!! Can t recommend sit means sit enough they are truly amazing!! Super friendly and train so well!
Definitely worth taking Coco here! Love Savanah, Nichole and all the trainers! Coco did the 10 day board and train. Recommend them!!
We have a new dog and a much happier household!
I had a hard time with my GSL, we started with Sammy and she did great with her. A year later and she is doing great! Brought my basset hound in he is in training to be a therapy dog through caring angels. They are both doing wonderful thanks to the wonderful staff here!
Our experience with Sit Means Sit has been amazing! We enrolled our pup in the 10 day board and train and have received such a different pup (in the best way!). Our Yoshi is 3 years old and after going through some big changes, including moving to a different state, he had some minor behavioral issues become major behavioral issues. I stumbled across Sit Means Sit when I was googling different trainings, at the end of my rope and so unsure of how to train Yoshi properly, they were our saving grace! Throughout the whole process, they have been very communicative, and so helpful. They heard our issues and our hopes for what we wanted to get out of the training. Took such good care of our pup, even getting him groomed before we picked him up. They continue to check in with us and we have private and group lessons all booked so we can continue to live a better life with our pup.
Such an amazing experience!!!! My furry son has been improving everyday. Best thing we have ever done
My dog is a different pup after 10 days! Absolutely amazing training and follow up! We are so so glad that we chose sit means sit! Savannah took such good care of our nellie and genuinely loved and cared about her! Could not be happier with the training we had!
The 12 day training with follow up classes has been a game changer for both of our dogs (one 6y/o and one 6 month old) they behave in ways I never thought possible. You definitely need to participate in the training for it to be effective but that should be expected. Would definitely recommend.
James and the team at Sit Means Sit have been absolutely fantastic to work with! We sent both our dogs Rooster (6 months) and Eevee (6yrs)to the 10 day board and train. We received pictures, videos and messages updating us on their progress while they were away. It was amazing to see the change in both dogs when we picked them up regarding their knowledge of commands and their ability to respond when asked. The continued support and training has been incredible and we couldn t be happier!
We took our puppy in when he was just 4 months old for the 10-day board and train, and are so happy with the results. He knows 10 basic commands already, and even though he s still a young puppy, he s so well-behaved. This was a great investment for the long-term with our puppy.
We love Sit Means Sit. They ve done such a great job with our miniature schnauzer puppy. The training has been great and the continued support is extremely helpful. We will be recommending them to all of our friends.
We took two of our three dogs to Sit Means Sit 10-day board and train and we are so pleased at the results so far. Bella and Loki are so much better behaved than before the training. After the 10-days we ve done two human trainings with them so that we can learn how to keep all that they have learned active and in line with behaviors that we want to see. We are expecting a baby soon and hope to keep this amazing behaviors up with our new addition.
We have one dog that is aggressive towards other dogs and one that is pretty stubborn and hard to train. We did the board and train program with both of them at the same time. It has completely improved all of our lives! We can now go to public parks and camping spots with people nearby and confidently manage our dogs without being full of anxiety, which means they also get to do more fun activities too. The on-going support and training classes have also been so helpful for training the whole family!
We were very pessimistic about dog training before we tried it. We did the doggy boot camp and then a years worth of training. Just after the boot camp there was a world of difference. I think the bigger thing to know is that the training is much for you as it is for the dog. All in all I would highly recommend it means sit.
Our time with Sit means Sit has been great. We did the 10 day board and train and our dogs came back so much better. Our malamute used to be a nightmare to walk and now she is wonderful, our akita listens so much better as well. I would highly recommend them.
This dog training has been a game changer for us. Before training our dog was wild and hard, but now that she has been trained through Sit Means Sit, she is so well behaved and still the happy cheerful dog we love.
I would diffently recommend Sit Means Sit. The staff is extremely knowledgeable on how to train any breed of dogs. Thanks you Sit Means Sit staff for all your hard work.
When I first brought Frank I was worried about using the collar but the owner Chris came to my home and talked me through it to make me feel more comfortable. Frank is doing great now and I am excited to keep taking him to training to see how he improves.
Sit Means Sit has been fantastic from day one. They have come to our home for training. Our dog loves everyone that works there. She loves going and training.
My Schnoodle, Rambo, was just 3 months when he started with Sit Means Sit. He completed the 10 day board and train program. He continues to strive by attending group classes that are a tremendous benefit for my him to learn to behave and get along with other people and other dogs. It has been a great experience!
Can not recommend these guys enough!
I have such a well behaved dog because of the training we went through here! i have a lot of trust in her off leash and she doesn t pull anymore on walks! best dog trainers ever!
We love Sit Means Sit! Theyve made such a big difference in our lives. All of the trainers are absolutely AMAZING and genuinely love these pups like theyre their own. I have a stronger bond with my girl because of the training and the understanding we have for each other. Every dog is different and they really take the time to understand your dog individually and what works or doesnt work for them and applies that to their training. Forever grateful for everyone at Sit Means Sit.
I m very happy for choosing Sit Means sit. They treat my dog so well and with a lot of love. Brazuca is doing so well now, I m happy and thankful for the love and caring towards her
Sit Means Sit and their staff have always been supportive in and out of group class we have Had several different issues with our dog. Each issue has been addressed thoroughly And a solution always presented. I have been coming to group class for over 2 years, each new dog and owner I ve seen, Always gets full support and attention from the trainers at Sit Means Sit.
We have been taking our 4month old puppy here, and they have been so great! Our pup has responded very well to the training and also we have learned so much at owners as well. The ability to ask what ever questions we have and have the access to messages them anytime has been so helpful. Best place! Great people to train with!
We recently just got our baby boy Russell home from Sit Means Sit Board and Train program and all I can say is WOW! We were at our wits in with our pup, he had no manners and would not listen for the life of him! My last straw was him jumping on our bathroom window and shattering it, i was at a loss of what to do. Megan at sit means sit was amazing and got us right in and made a spot available for us due to how hop less and defeated we were. Megan and the team at sit means sit answered all our questions and kept us updated with videos and pictures of Russell. When we arrived to pick up Russell i was instantly brought to tears of happiness! I have never imagined Russell could be so happy and well behaved. As we have brought him home he has continued to learn and adjust thanks to the train we were provided at pick up by Sammy who was through and patient with us and our children and made our children now feel safe around our pup. Their program offers life time Traning groups and class and has brought us much comfort. While yes Russell still struggles with listening in the first time when he is excited, but he is still a puppy. We have our first in home training session and we are so excited to watch Russell continue to learn and grow. We could not have done it with out everyone at sit means sit!
We sent our pup Russell through the bored and train program and we are blow away by the progress he has made! We owe all our sanity to sit means sit!
Sit Means Sit has been amazing with our dogs. They went above and beyond to make sure that our hard to train dog got what she needed and now she s excelling. They are always available and respond quickly to any questions or training needs. I highly recommend!
Sit means Sit is AMAZING! They turned my over-caffeinated, neurotic frenchie into a well behaved super-model. Gucci loves going to the group lessons, she goes into full on training mode. It s like magic .
This agency is absolutely incredible! Very skilled trainers, that show genuine compassion and care for your pets. My pup Charlie had a medical scare (nothing to do with training) while in training and they went above and beyond to ensure Charlie was well taken care of and continued to update and notify me of any concerns. At the end of training, Charlie and his brother cooper came back and we were shocked at the difference in their behavior they had manners, were well trained on commands and overall just easier to control and manage. The staff make themselves available to you and have continued to check in. Can t wait to continue training with them. Note the picture is of Charlie and cooper doing place at the park where normally they d be chaotic! I ve even had one person come up to me asking how I trained my dogs so well 10/10 stars!
We had our dog in the 10 day board train program and definitely recommend Sit means sit. They are great with the dogs and always ready to answer our questions. Savannah has been amazing!
We boarded our 9 year old Bluetick Coonhound, Kaia, for 2 weeks over Thanksgiving. She learned so much and has shown incredible improvement on and off leash. Savannah, Ashley, Heidi, and Sammy showed a lot of love and patience to our old stubborn hound. It takes a lot of time and effort for everyone to lay the foundation and be consistency. We appreciate it very much. The update videos we got were so good to see. They have been responsive and thorough with any questions or concerns we have. We are now 3 weeks out of training and have had 2 sessions at home. These helped us owners solidify our knowledge and methods to continue working with Kaia. We look forward to getting involved in group classes in the future as well. All in all, working with everyone has been a positive experience and our dog is already behaving so much better.
Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The impact of the training has been fantastic in a short amount of time.
They did an amazing job! Made huge progress with our pup. Super knowledgeable and broke the training down in a way that was incredibly easy to implement. Thanks to this program we no longer have to isolate our dog from the world. He s learned to manage his stress and anxiety and can engage in a healthy manner. We can t recommend this school enough, worth every cent.
This training program has been a life saver! My dog was very reactive to both people and other dogs as well as insecure and somewhat poorly mannered. He went through their 10 day boot camp and came back a different dog. The trainers at Sit Means Sit worked hard with him to develop his confidence and gave us the tools in order to continue his progression outside of the facility. Their approach to dog training is knowledgeable, kind, and lifelong. I cannot recommend Sit Means Sit enough. If you re thinking about it, it s worth it.
Excellent place to train your dog especially your deaf dog. I was able to get my therapy certification through the program and we got to weekly classes.
After months of struggling with behavioral issues and lack of control with our dog Finn, we decided to inquire about a board and train program for him. From our first visit and consultation everything has been absolutely incredible. The staff is very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly and I felt very confident leaving Finn with them for the duration of his training. We received amazing photos and videos of his progress while he was with them, and have had a great experience with our follow up visits. Finn now has a solid foundation for which we can build on with the support of Sit Means Sit. We couldn t be happier with his progress and we still have our goofy, happy go lucky pup, but now have much better control and confidence.
Sit Means Sit Dog Training has been a blessing in my life. The trainers are incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely care about you and your dog. I have had two dogs (Zara and Ralph) go through their 20 day board & train program. We also attend their weekly group classes twice a week. Group class is always a joy. I have gained so many friends and have had so many memorable experiences. During group class we go through a variety of training scenarios to help with different challenges we have with training our dogs. And they always leave time for questions that we have. The best part about Sit Means Sit is that they ve given me the ability to know how to train my dogs. I have gained so much confidence in my ability to handle my dogs in any situation at home, or out in public. I can now take my dogs off leash trail running with success. My dog Ralph went through their Caring Angels, therapy dog training program and is now certified as a therapy dog. It was such a rewarding experience. Words can t express how thankful I am for Sit Means Sit Dog Training, it s not just a business, it s a family.
Sit Means Sit has been amazing for me and my dog. Gunner is 3 years old and did a 10 day board and train and the results have been night and day different. The implied wait with commands is game changing. What I love the most is the amount of aftercare you get! As many follow ups as needed, unlimited group classes as well. I definitely feel very supported with the continued training with Gunner. Highly recommend Sit Means Sit to everyone!
Trainers always very helpful for answers to problems. My dog is well-trained and even went on with Sit Means Sit to become an official Therapy Dog. Very pleased. Money well invested.
Fantastic service, extremely helpful! Highly recommend their boarding options. Trained up our Belgian Malinois, Kelso, great! Thanks for being a continuos help with our puppy!
Worth every penny! He s like a whole new dog. I did the 5 day training and I would recommend it to anyone.
Sit means sit helped us enforce structure in our home to instill confidence in our reactive heeler. She s doing very well with the us and our other dog.
They were so awesome with my dog gunner! Outstanding service and they really cared about my dog! I would take them 100x over and over again!
I recently took my aggressive dog to this training place, and Im thrilled with the results. They worked wonders in making her more manageable. The trainers are skilled, and the positive changes in my dogs behavior are remarkable. Highly recommend!
I took my puppy there and I absolutely love this place! They cared for my dog like he was their own. I also did the ten day training and he came back such an obedient dog. Truly the best place if want your dog trained super well!
they are amazing and trained my dog so well!!
My dog has been doing great. Be warned it takes a lot of training yourself to be successful, but only have a better relationship with my dog.
Loved Sit means Sit!! Sent both my 3 year old rescue dogs here for the 20 day board and train. I felt very comfortable leaving them here for a long amount of time, and loved the photo and video updates we received. They are COMPLETELY different (in the best way!) They still have their spunky personalities but can now hold place, sit, down, and walk a million times better. It made our relationship better now that we understand each other- very excited to continue the group classes!
Would highly recommend. I looked at a lot of places and tried 2 other trainers before taking our sweet boy Koda in. We were worried about his aggression never being manageable but after training at Sit Means Sit he is the best good boy there ever was. They treated him so well during his board and train and gave me lots of updates to help me feel at ease being away from my best friend for 10 days. It was absolutely worth the investment and am getting our second dog in soon.
I cannot say enough great things about Sit Means Sit Dog Training in Salt Lake City. The staff is absolutely amazing, and the training they provide is unlike any other dog training facility Ive ever been to. They are kind, patient, and treat your dog(s) as if it were their own pet. They also arent pushy on trying to sell you their services, which I really appreciated. I especially want to give a big thank you to Megan, who was the trainer that specifically worked with my dogs. She consistently kept my wife and I updated via texts and photos on how our dogs were doing during their board and train program and she treated our dogs as if they were her own. Sit Means Sit helped us realize that one of our dogs is deaf and they changed up their training to specifically teach him hand commands; Megan even took the time to make a video for my wife and I to help us learn the hand commands. The trainers at Sit Means Sit go the extra mile with everything they do and it makes a big difference. Im forever grateful for Megan and the rest of the Sit Means Sit Trainers for the impact theyve had on my dogs. They are the best dog trainers Ive ever been around. Thank you!
So far our training experience has been awesome! Sprocket has been learning a lot, and so have we! Were keeping up on his training and hes reading at a fifth grade level. Haha
Sit means sit was the best thing to happen to us and our bully mix, Willis! We did the 8 day jump start program. Luana worked her magic with our boy. He was very leash reactive, didn t like new people in the house, and overall stubborn! We noticed a huge difference in him before the 8 days were up. We can now walk him on a leash without any problems, we can have people over to the house without him losing his mind. We also loved our group classes! We haven t been for awhile due to our boy having to get both ACL s fixed - but once he s cleared we will be back to group classes. Thanks Luana and the sit means sit team! The training improved our relationship with our dog!
We are continuing to train our Bichon Frise (hi Gandalf!) here, coming up on a year. We now have a well behaved pup that we can safely take places! The staff is dedicated, super competent, and very supportive. We weighed the cost of the next decade with a well behaved dog vs a poorly behaved dog and the price and time commitment was worth it! Reactive dogs also do well here, highly recommended.
The more we work with Sit Means Sit the more I like them. We just attended our first group class and we were blown away by how well behaved such a large group of dogs was. I would highly recommend them, and well be bringing all future dogs here as well!
I love these people! They have helped us so much with our dog. They are smart, knowledgeable, know and love dogs! Our dog is SO much better behaved, enjoyable, and good in social settings. I highly recommend them.
This is by far the best money I have ever spent! I thoughty dog was pretty well behaved going in and they taught me so much more! My relationship with my monster pup has increased so much! Thank you from me and Dolly, best dog training ever!
Sit means sit is amazing!! My puppy is so well behaved since starting training classes! We love all the trainers!!
Sit Means Sit has been a game changer for us!! We would be lost without them- our dog Mozzy is a pro now at basic commands, loose leash walking, and so much more. The weekly classes are an awesome way to always keep her skills in tact. Would recommend to all my friends and family!
They have been So kind and helpful to me and Mylo! Would recommend!
Amazing Dog Transformation! Our heeler was reactive to other dogs and nervous about strangers. He is a sweet, cuddle bug and obeys commands on a dime The trainers sincerely care about dogs and are a joy to work with.
I can t recommend Sit Means Sit enough! My mini Aussie is 4 years old, she s always been high energy, high anxiety, and embarrassingly misbehaved. We did the 12 day board and train program after she started showing some signs of aggression toward our crawling baby and the difference it has made in our lives is incredible! Her anxiety is so much better managed now that we all know what to do. Friends and family can come over without her jumping up and annoying them the whole time. No more pulling on the leash, barking incessantly, the list goes on and on! We re enjoying having a dog again! The trainers have all been great to work with and we have loved the one-on-one sessions we ve had. I can t tell you what a world of difference it has made to the quality of life for all of us. Sit Means Sit is the new requirement for every dog we ll have!
Definitely a training facility worth looking into
Nice place! Great training!
Great people care for your pets development and yours.
This place has been a literally the best place for me and my dog they take time to explain things to the owners and take things at the dogs pace.
I love Sit Means Sit ! Not only the training but also the staff have been amazing with my dog and also with me. Whatever question s I have, the staff are always there to answer. I love to hear how they train their own dogs as that supports me with my dog. The rotation of always having a different staff is also awesome! I am really happy that I chose Sit Means Sit . I am very happy with my dog training and I will say it is worth it!
Love this training company. We have learned so much. I have an older rescue who would pull while walking and who could rarely follow directions. We did our first group class today and I am amazed how great Roscoe is doing!
Amazing trainers and staff 10 out of 10 recommend
We were struggling with our big 2 year old dog Henry for awhile with people reactivity and anxiety. We are so grateful and happy that we found sit means sit to help Henry! He was boarded for 20 days and he came back a different dog that did not react to people anymore and no anxiety! We were blown away at his results and couldn t be happier! Megan was his main amazing trainer and she was awesome at sending us weekly pictures and videos of his progress. She was also very patient and great at answering all of our questions and check ins with Henry while he was away. We also did an 8 day at home training with our other dog Aspen and she has made great progress and she is a stubborn 5 year old! I have already recommend this company to other dog fiends and will continue to rave about this company! Thank you for a new peace of mind with us and Henry. We ruff you and the amazing trainers that worked with Henry!
Im so happy we decided to go with sit means sit. We did a 20 day board and train. Because our pup was about 16 weeks old, Megan recommended that that we do a 10 day split where our pup goes for 10 days, comes home for a week or two and then goes again for another 10 days. Im so happy she recommended that. It gave us a chance to work with our pup and see what we need to work on for the next training session. Im sure 80% of the time, we needed more guidance than the pup . We mostly wanted to work on distractions for our pup, she would often not listen to us because she was easily distracted. We also wanted to work on pulling on the leash and polite greetings. Weve made so much progress. During the program, we were kept up to date on our pups progress with weekly pictures and videos. We worked with Megan, Ashley, and Nichole. They are all a joy to work with. They are great at answering any questions we have and they were very helpful at the follow up at-home lessons. We couldnt have been more pleased with our pups progress. Highly recommend Sit Means Sit.
Money well spent! Our dog reactive boy and our high anxiety girl were driving us to madness with their behavior. Sit means sit has given them and us the tools for success. All the trainers will answer any questions you have and address any behaviors that are brought up.
I am so grateful for Sit means sit!!! When I adopted my husky Koda he didnt even know his name. Now he knows basic commands and walks well on a leash, where as before he would pull. During the consultation Megan was very honest and open on the process and what to expect. Being a husky Koda can get stubborn at times, but his main trainer Sam has been AMAZING and showed me some game changing techniques, she has been great at updating me with photos and videos of his progress. Super happy with my experience
We love this program.
Awesome Teresa and her people know what their doing!
We have a wonderful dog, we love him and he is part of the family. He is way too smart and he figured out all treat training tricks and it was no longer working. drop it turned into run after me as fast as you can. Meals were a strategy game and not relaxing. We had put gates everywhere in the house to avoid him stealing things, food or no food. During walks he was perfect until there was something more interesting than us. Recall was something we would never try to do because we were afraid of him never coming back. We took the 10 day bootcamp with Sit means Sit. When we got our dog back it was immediate change for all of us. Sit means sit took care of stablishing the good behaviors in our dog and they did the hard work. When we got him back our job was easier because our dog knew how and what commands to follow to perfection. Sit means Sit not only trained him but trained our whole family. He loves his commands and loves when we show him how much we love him following the commands. Is a win win situation and a wonderful relationship between our wonderful dog and the whole family. STRESS FREE WALKS are priceless! STRESS FREE MEALS with the family are priceless! STRESS FREE PLAYTIME is priceless! RECALL being a success IS PRICELESS! Him knowing what DROP IT and OFF means SUPER PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you Sit means Sit for bringing peace to this house.
Sit Means Sit Salt Lake is the best training you will find in the Salt Lake Valley. Each trainer truly works to address the individual needs/obstacles your dog may have. Could not recommend highly enough.
TOTALLY WORTH IT! This program is amazing! We have a frenchie named Wanda and this program has opened so many doors for both us and her! Thanks to Sit Means Sit, we as a family have been able to trust our puppy and be able to bring her many places! Sit Means Sit s wonderful staff have been with us every step of the way through her training, and even though she s still a puppy, we have been able to bring her to school, to bbq s, to family events, and even to the senior citizen living community next door with complete confidence in her behavior! It may be pricey, but trust me, the wonderful program, amazing staff, and incredible results are WORTH IT! We are so happy we took the chance!
Having just moved into the area I really needed some major help with my dog - his main issue being reactivity toward strangers. I had started working with some other trainers before moving, but needed something more intense that could really push it to the next level. And after meeting with Whitney to talk about goals I had for the board and train program, I knew this was the best place for him. Whitney was extremely professional throughout the whole program, and above that, she and all of the other trainers showed a deep personal interest in working my dog through any struggles he had throughout training. And although he normally isnt the friendliest dog to new people, he absolutely loved ALL of the trainers there that worked with him - to the point where he will still sometimes pee out of excitement when he sees them in group class. It was really awesome being able to get text and video updates of progress during the board & train - and even after the program is done, they make sure to set you up for success at home with private lessons and then group classes - and I highly recommend group class too, its an amazing opportunity to continue working your dog through different high-distraction situations. I cannot emphasize enough how much Sit Means Sit has helped (and continues to help) my dog be the best he can be. Whitney, Chris, Megan, Sam, Amanda, & Luana...yall are the best.
Dont look any further for dog training, Sit Means Sit is the best quality you can pay for. My pup is a year old, and I wasted way too much money on training before finding Sit Means Sit. I wish I knew about it sooner so I didnt waste my time and money on other trainings that were not effective. Sit Means Sit has many training options to choose from and is cost effective. I am a single graduate student who lives in an apartment with no family in the state. I was desperate to get help with my dog as it was too much for me to handle alone. I sent my dog to the 20 day board and train as it seemed the most cost effective. It may seem pricey at first, but trust me, DO IT. It is worth it. Not only did my dog come back trained, he still had his happy go lucky personality. But the training did not stop after that, once I paid for the training, a lifetime of training was included. They checked in on me after I took him home, provided homework worksheets for practice, and even scheduled a private in-home lesson the next week to see how things were going. We start group training next week and I cant wait. It is a breath of fresh air having a dog I can take everywhere with me now and not have anxiety about his behavior! I also cant forget about the staff and trainers at the facility - they are unbelievable. So friendly and personable, I could just hang out there all day! I know I have a great support team and a well-behaved dog best friend for life now. Oh, and they send you weekly updates with pictures or videos while your pup is at training :) They even had a birthday party for my guy.
Very knowledgeable staff and great training program. For training my weimaraner as a pup has made it easy and a step by step way to train him
This has been such great training for our Famcy! We love the team how how much they care for the dogs. Also love the continual training offered. No one and done here!
Love sit means sit is seriously amazing. Our chocolate lab was crazy and could not be on a leash but in 10 days he is the best dog.
Im kind of not very nice people but they were directly in their job doing their job could have been a lot nicer to the community while performing their job
They are amazing! Worth every single penny!
Sit means sit is nothing short of amazing! They worked so hard with our two dogs and have exceeded our expectations. Before we took our girls for training they would bark every time someone walked by, eat food off the counter and just wouldn t follow basic commands. Now we can happily say our girls are well behaved at home and in public. Amanda, Luana, Megan and Sam have been wonderful throughout the entire training and have continued to help teach us and our girls how to be good girls! We are so thankful for everyone who has helped our dogs become good girls!
Love the personal touch.
Jon and Theresa are simply the best. We had 2 lab puppies and the results are amazing.
Awesome first day for our Sky
We could not be happier with our experience at Sit Means Sit dog training! Jeff worked SO well with our Frenchie and got him off leash in less than 4 weeks! This was seriously a miracle for us, Z our Frenchie would run away any chance he got and always had to be on a leash. We can t rave enough about our experience here. We will use them for every dog we have forever! Theresa was so helpful on the phone and would always send us reminder texts. She was so kind and made such a good impression on us the first time we called. YOU need your dog to be trained here. We looked around for about 3 months and couldn t find anyone or any company that has better results or programs than Sit Means Sit! Plus they really care about your dog, like it s their own! Can t wait for Z to attend his free life time group classes!! Just another perk of Sit Means Sit!!!
The very best training and people around.
Jeff is an amazing trainer that changed our lives! We have a very stubborn rescue named Brody that sometimes gets aggressive with strangers - thanks to Jeff we now have a manageable, happy dog. We had tried an e-collar in the past but were not using it correctly, Jeff provided an e-collar training framework that allowed us to apply it to countless aspects of Brodys life. Brody now waits to be let out the front door, stays in heel on walks, and understands leave it with almost everything. We can now take him on hikes without worrying he is going to lunge at someone, being able to share one of our favorite activities with him is one of the best things to ever happen to us. Even the best trainers wont fix your dog if you are not able to put in the reps required to actually train. If you are someone that is willing to do the work over the months and years that follow the training but cant get that initial baseline of cooperation with your dog, this is a great place for you. The only thing we ended up needing additional help with was the fence aggression, even with the collar his concentration could not be broken with any zaps or yelling. When he was locked in there were no toys, words, or actions that could get break him out of it. Using a #7 shock while in this state was futile until the person finished walking by, at which point he would scream from the shock. Seeing that the shock was painful but ignored while locked in, we were not willing to go higher than 7. We ended up trying Prozac and now Clomicalm and this seems to be the final piece we were missing. Now that we are able to actually talk to Brody while he is in a state of aggression we have really been able to use the tools that Jeff gave us. Thank you so much, Sit Means Sit and Jeff! We have worked hard every single day to get to this point, but we would never have been able to do it without you.
They are fantastic Jon worked with two of my dogs one was fairly easy but one was very difficult and Jon did not give up. We made great progress. I love the classes that we can drop in to unfortunately I did doc one star because there aren t classes often enough to fit My schedule. But we love them when I can make one.
Great staff. We have researched into other dog training companies in the area. We were very impressed with the results that were shown to us from previous dogs. Their prices were lower than other places we have visited with compatible services. This company offers free group classes for the life of the dog so that is amazing.
Jeff is amazing. Not only did he train our pup, he taught us as well on helping her succeed. Service and price was outstanding. Look no further!! Book with Sit Means Sit!
Im going to be honest here. Great couple running the place but after the Well-mannered private trainings and other lessons our dog is the same they were before trainings. All lessons were lessons she already knew like place sit and stay. Also many times the trainer Jon would make plans with us and when the time came and passed their partner who does the finances would tell us it was never scheduled. We really wanted to focus on her issue with pulling while walking and reactivity. After we made our final payment the lessons stopped and they were unresponsive to texts. We feel disappointed with $1k less in our pockets. If your dog doesnt know basic commands, it may be a good place, but otherwise it may be best to look elsewhere for better and cheaper trainings.
I was referred to Jon by a friend and can honestly say I have been so impressed by our experience here with Sit Means Sit. We have a 7 month old Japanese Akita and decided to board her in their 14-day Immersion Program. We could clearly see results from when we dropped her off to when we picked her up. All the trainers I have met have been so great. Maddie and Theresa are also super awesome at their jobs as I have appreciated all their help with getting us info and setting our pup up in their program. Training is definitely an investment and that it well worth the money you pay at SMS. As an owner they expect you to dedicate time to training at home with your pooch, which I think is awesome because the dog needs to listen to YOU, not just your trainers. *What you re willing to put in definitely shows in your dogs behavior*. I personally am a huge fan of the collar method they use. If you ve experienced e-stimulation at the doctors for sprains and such, that s basically what it is: a mini tens-unit. It s completely safe and helps with cognitive recognition of commands when used properly on your dog. AND a bonus: remote & collar comes with a lifetime warranty when you board/train with Sit Means Sit! The owner, Jon, is absolutely incredible! Aside from being awesome at training dogs, he does a great job with training humans. Each time we ve had an at-home session we are given great info and technique to better help our dog. You can really tell he cares about his clients and their furry friends by how much time he freely dedicates into them. Such a great trainer! Wish we could give them more stars! Thank you Sit Means Sit
Best training in town, my dogs are angels after working with these folks. Worth every penny!
Very knowledgeable staff
Very good owner and experience staff. I had recommended this place to many people.
Jon has completely turned my dog into an obedient and confident fur baby! Sit means sit are fantastic all around!! Caring staff and all around great!
I had an aggressive Pitbull-collie mix, I was running out options and I was at my wits end. I called so many different training companies and decided to go with Jon at sit means sit. I am so happy I did! I feel confident with my dog and trust him so much more! Although training your dog never ends, and it s something we will continue to work on each day, I am so happy to have built the trust I did with my dog, and I couldn t have done it without Jon!
So grateful for this place. Highly recommend going here. Its was worth every penny!
This place is AMAZING!!!!! Theyre helping Soo much with our puppy. Jon is great. They staff never seem bothered when I have questions ( and BOY do I have a lot).
Ongoing training specialists for even the most unruly dogs. They also train handlers/owners
Sit Means Sit has got to be the best place I have found for training, the staff and trainers are A+. I have a German Shepherd that was out of control I was on the verge of getting rid of him, if it wasnt for sit means sits training I wouldnt have my dog. The cost of training was well worth the results I have seen and continue to see.
They have been great. We went thru training almost 10 yrs ago. And they still will work with ours dogs if problems pop up. Love how much they live on the dogs and are great with high energy ones.
Sit means sit is well worth the price for training. We have a difficult dog with aggression and behavioral issues, the staff and trainers are excellent.
Jon and Teresa at Sit Means Sit offer top rate training and boarding for your pups. The place is clean and spacious. We left our 3 dogs with them while on a cruise this year and it was great for them and for me as i did not worry about their well being. I highly recommend them for training and boarding.
Great service - worth the price. Jon is awesome and so nice and patient!
Couldnt be happier with our experience with my German Shepard. Even when it had been a few months after our one on one training concluded, I called with a new problem my pup had developed and they still knew exactly which dog she was, offered to help at NO CHARGE and truly have the dogs needs first and foremost! We love going to group classes when we can, we have also used the daycare and boarding and it is the only place I will ever take my dog. I would rather skip a vacation than have to put my dog at another facility. We cannot wait to do the K9 good citizen classes they offer. If you have not gone to this facility, or met these owners or trainers you are truly missing out. I have yet to meet a trainer there who has not been phenomenal, respectful and a world of knowledge. Call them today, sign up for a class or training session. We did the one on training package and I was very impressed at the value to price we received. I had called a few training facilities prior to meeting with Jon and I was blown away at how affordable he was with the quality of training. I truly picked sit means sit after our free demo and you could see the passion the trainers had and the value you would receive.
Sit means Sit has done wonders with my puppies. Sophia went from pulling my arm out when walking her to strolling next to me. Jon made a huge difference and made us a happier couple. Then there is my little puppy Charlie. She went from crazy puppy behavior to obedient puppy after a 2 week board and train. Sit mean sit creates the bond that owner and dog seek. The group classes are fantastic and work not only the dog, but the people just as much. Tiffany is fun, energetic and always helps answer any questions you might have. She makes it fun. All three of my dogs love going to Sit means Sit - Dogtown to play and are tuckered out, no matter how long or short their stay was. I wouldnt trust my fur babies to anyone else.
Were new customers to Sit Means Sit, but were already so excited about the progress our Great Dane Jäger has made already. It makes us even more excited to see how much he will progress as he continues training.
Jon and Theresa did an awesome job with my dog, Shady. I had been told by 2 other trainers that there was nothing they could do for her, and Sit Means Sit was my last resort. I didnt want to spend that much money, but I didnt want to give up on my dog, either. But the end of the first training session I could already see improvement. 8 years later I can say it was the best investment that I could have made. Several of my collars broke and Jon was always able to replace them for me. I finally ended up upgrading my collar and have probably had this one for at least 4 years. I would definitely recommend Sit Means Sit.
This is one of the great place to take and train your dog
