Bark City Lodge offers Dog Boarding, Grooming, and Sit Means Sit Dog Training in West Jordan, Utah. Our boarding facility offers spacious climate-controlled individual kennel suites, elevated Kuranda beds, blankets, and even a “pawtio” with access indoors and out when the weather is nice. 1. We explicitly instructed a medication be given to one of our dogs, even putting it in a separate bag with the date and time it needed administered. It was still in the bag when we picked them up. 2. One of our dogs has laryngeal paralysis and needs a slow-feeder bowl, which we provided, or she could choke to death. When we picked them up, they could not confirm the bowl was always used. 3. The last two times we've picked up the dogs, they've had feces on them and didn't bother to clean it before we picked them up. When we saw it, again, we had to ask if it can be cleaned. Even still, we ended cleaning it up. 4. It's very disorganized. When we called to change dates for pick-up, they confirmed it; however, they called us on the original date asking if we were going to pick them up. 5. After picking them up, we noticed one of the dogs' tail tip was bleeding and was not addressed. All this said, we fear for our dogs' well-being at this business. Service and quality have seriously degraded lately. UPDATE: We received a call from Bark City management. They seemed genuinely concerned and are taking steps to remedy the issues. Thank you for personally addressing this.
Our pup Bash has stayed multiple times at Bark City now, and we’ve had nothing but great experiences! Great customer service, and great communication! We love all of the add on services and take advantage of getting the daily pup-dates and daily walks! They always make us feel like they love having him stay there, which is such a relief when boarding your dog! Highly recommend.
We were nervous to board our pup for the first time because he is not the most friendly. The staff was great and our dog warmed up to them by the end of his stay. Bark City Lodge did an awesome job! We will definitely use them again!
Our dogs have stayed at bark city lodge three times now, and most recently it was so we could welcome a new baby to the family. When we picked up the dogs they had given them a bath and made them look so cute to meet their new baby brother! We are so happy we found them and will continue to use them in the future!
My puppy Moe enjoyed his 2 week stay at bark city lodge. They were amazing with him and provided updates while we were on vacation. I will definitely be rebooking with them in the future.
If you are looking for a place to trust with your dog, this is it! The staff absolutely showed their expertise in handling our high energy labradoodle. He’s a big goofball and obviously had a great time while we were away! We will definitely visit this business on the regular.

Every time I visit, I feel confident that my furry kids are in the best hands. The team is super friendly and always goes above and beyond. Whether you're looking for a trustworthy place to leave your pets while you're away or just need top-notch care for your dogs, Bark City is the place to go. I especially appreciate how patient and understanding they are with my anxious, reactive dog. It’s the only boarding facility where we feel safe and comfortable leaving him. WE LOVE BARK CITY. Stark, our 3 year old German Shepherd, has had long stays (1 week or more) twice now. August 2023 and the first week of MAY 2024. When Stark first came to Bark City we were still administering her medications for a skin infection. Bark City gave her all of the meds required and followed the instructions I had written out and supplied with her food. It was comforting to know that the staff was very thorough and competent in helping her heal and feel better. Bark City also does an excellent job keeping us updated on Stark. We receive photo and video updates and she always looks so relaxed and happy. On her latest visit, she got to play outside with the hose on a hot day. It definitely made us feel less guilty for being on vacation because it seemed she was on one as well. We will continue to use Bark City for our grooming and boarding needs. We do not trust her with anyone else.

Love dropping Mia off. They are so kind to her and she is excited to go. I feel so comfortable leaving her with them and I can tell she had fun when I pick her up later. I have only used for long time care, but will consider other options.
We have boarded our dog here several times now and love it. Memphis enjoys his stays and is well taken care of while he s there. We love that he can have a bath and come home fluffy and smelling good! The staff is great and work with too!
We have loved Bark City lodge to take care of our dog, Bear, while we camp. He is a Chinese Shar pei and can sometimes be difficult with other dogs and other people but so far we have had no issues. Bark City Lodge also offers a variety of additional services to add on to your stay. It s a one stop shop and great place for boarding your pup. We were also able to book way ahead to accommodate our camping trips. Additionally, BCL kindly texted me to remind me to get an updated vaccine for my dog before his upcoming stay. I highly recommend BCL for boarding. :)
We absolutely love Bark City and the care our little dog Skittles receives there when we go on vacation. They are so great with her, and Skittles gets so excited when she goes there! We are confident that she has a fun and safe retreat at Bark City. Thanks for taking such great care of Skittles!

Best pet boarding experience Ive ever had for sure. Theyve been so flexible and my dog goes absolutely nuts everytime we pull up lol so he must be enjoying himself there. Would absolutely recommend them for boarding and grooming
Ive had to take some days to post this to not make emotional remarks. Ive been taking my dogs to this place since the early 90s. Joan, April and all rnade it a wonderful place. New owner in the last couple years. Took my girls (Labs) in for 3 day weekend. Brought them home dehydrated, puking,and meds not administered correctly. Had to put 1 beautiful baby down 4 days later. Ill drive to hell and back before I ever let them touch another animal of mine. Visit was early May 2024.
I love bark city lodge!! My dog is anxious reactive and the staff are so friendly and patient with him. He still gets nervous to go but he interacts with the staff which is HUGE for him. They are the only boarders we feel safe and comfortable taking him to.
I had my puppy Pyro with Bark City as part of Sit Means Sit board and train program twice. They do a great job! The last time he was there he got a little bit sick (no fault of them at all) and they immediately reached out to let me know what they had seen and what they thought might be best for him. It just shows they actually pay attention enough to notice even a small difference in behavior and care to do what s best for the dogs in their care. My pup is totally fine, was just a stomach bug of some sort thankfully. They could have easily blown it off or not notified me but they didn t. I would easily recommend them to friends and family.
I came back to two very happy dogs after boarding them for 5 days. The staff was great and very loving to them.

we went on a trip for a week and unfortunately were not able to take our pups. it was so comforting knowing they were being taken care of and loved on. the staff really treats your pups like they re their own! there s really nowhere else i would rather have them be while we re away. 10 stars
Absolutely love bark city lodge!! My dog Duke stayed there for almost 3 weeks during the sit means sit board and train and absolutely loved it. He was clean, happy and healthy!! Look no further for a safe and comfortable place to board your dog!!
I called because my reservation isn t on my online portal and spoke with someone who said they were new and couldn t help me. I had to suggest that she ask a more experienced staff member and call me back. She agreed but I never got a call back. I called again today, no answer. They only pickup the phone about 50% of the time. Customer service isn t great, so I am not sure the quality of care my dog will receive there will be great. Will be looking at different boarding facilities.
We boarded our dog Lucy at Bark City Lodge while doing training with Sit Means Sit Dog Training. We were so very pleased with how happy, healthy and clean Lucy was when we got her home. We were so pleased we have scheduled with Bark City Lodge to board our sweet little Lucy this upcoming September when we take a family trip. We highly recommend them.

Boarded my Aussi for 5 days, Bark city lodge took such great care of him. used a different kennel previously and dog was traumatized and a wreck. When I picked him up. Amazing board and train program! I was nervous to leave my dog because he had reactivity issues and wa ss a nervous dog. They did so well with him and sent us pictures while he was away and did and stayed in touch the whole time. My dog who is not very nice to new people, loved these trainers when he was done with the program!
The new owners are great and I feel 100% confident bringing my dog here! They take pride in their work of both boarding and training dogs, and I have experienced this on a personal level as they helped work with my dog who used to be very difficult to handle. And the latest remodeling work being done to update the facility solidifies this location as a great place to board your doggos!
We LOVE Bark City! They were great with our American Bulldog Rottie mix who can be quite the nervous reck They kept us updated daily and sent pics while he was away. Thank you Bark City Lodge!
