Excellent care for my Newfypoo. The big guy was kept calm throughout his exam and testing.

They are kind, positive and thorough. I would like it better if they let me stay with my dog during the exam.

Lady with black hair braided with glasses loves breaking law and giving people wrong advice to break state laws aswell and encourages ie telling a lady to keep a dog she found instead of telling her to surrender to animal control aswell as has nasty attitude to all customers and theor animals first time and last time experience I will not be coming back ever. Highly dont recommend.

You can never make an appointment at Banfield. Go to a local vet, cause either this company doesnt staff many vets to keep up with appointments but all appointments ive tried to make are always over 2months out. They are pretty good with my dog when I have finally been able to be seen However make sure you plan your dog illness or injury in advanced..... ridiculous!

We took our cat Lily in to see why she kept scratching a particular area on her jaw. We were told she had nicked her face on something and they gave us something to stop the itchiness. However, the scratch only got worse and we took her back and were told she had an abscessed tooth, but they couldnt operate that day. They scheduled me for several months out because shell be fine until the appointment. Its just an abscessed tooth. We took her somewhere else and found out she had cancer. We had to put her down because it was inoperable due to how far it had spread. Im never going back to Banfield as they cost me my best friends life.

we took our Kirby cat in for a UTI and they were absolutely amazing! Kirby felt safe and we felt comfortable. We have a new vet :)

They have been awesome at making sure my puppy isnt in pain due to a muscle problem.

I brought my 12 year old cat into this location for the wellness plans free dental cleaning about a week and half ago. After his dental I noticed a few things he would do that wasnt quite himself . I thought maybe its normal after a dental maybe he will perk up in a few days. yesterday i my girlfriend and i woke up to find him in a corner near his cat box not really responsive. i bring him in that day to get him checked up on. to find out my cat is blind and dehydrated . my cat wasnt blind before the dental and was in great spirts. I called back today in fear that my cat has started to decline to be told they cant really do anything to help. but they sure was quick to sell me more meds instead of seeing him again . i have sadly lost any confidence in this team here with my animals .

These guys are super friendly and have always taken that extra few minutes to talk to you about your pet and how they are doing. They all seem to truly care about helping you out.

The visit was quite emotional for us. The staff allowed us private space and time to say goodbye to our little family member.

It was good except now they keep your dog all day for a check up and shots. Before they would get their shots right when you got there and you left with your pet in approx 15- 30 minutes.

I have no issue with the doctor here at Banfield but when it comes to the company itself DO NOT work with them. After our dog was diagnosed with cancer we had to put her down just days later. She was signed up for their optimum wellness plan and after she passed we d hoped to cancel that considering she is no longer here to benefit from their services. They refused to cancel the plan because of services already rendered. We were given the choice of finishing paying for the plan or pay them back for the discounted various visits. Which she needed to even be diagnosed, sorry she had cancer Banfield. To be charged monthly and reminded of the pain we went through in making her last moment decisions is not something I look forward to, and plan on never returning here for any pet. Heaven forbid they pass and we have to continue paying for basically nothing.

I went in and got told I was going to pay around 200 for dewclaws for my puppies with an examination but when I brought the puppies in they charged me 600 if I knew that I would have just done them myself when you go in make sure they tell you the exact price so you dont get ripped a new one.

They set up an appointment with me at 7:15. They dont open until 8:00. I had to wait 45 minutes in my car with my stressed out pet because they cant figure out how to schedule an appointment for times they are open. Highly unprofessional. Negative

Theyve always treated my pets with love and care, and you can tell theyre invested in their well-being. The only issue I have is wait times, and their systems seem to have issues often. So I think they can improve on the admin side, but my pets have received nothing but excellent care with them.

I have brought my pets to Banfield for years and as many other reviews, I feel the same as far as how unreliable they have become. My appointment was cancelled because the doctor was sick. This alone, is not the issue, the issue is when the associate tells me now they cant get me rescheduled for several weeks and if I need service sooner she suggests calling another location. Banfield used to help customers with more compassion/empathy and they have turned into a place that its just a job and not a love for the employees.

Staff was amazing, the vet went over everything with me, answered all my questions, and was very up front about pricing and times. They called me as soon as my dog was out of surgery for pick up. They also saved his teeth for me which was awesome. thank you so much for taking care of my dog. I was very afraid of leaving him and what might happen but after my experience with them I will never have to fear for my dogs safety if he needs medical care.

I have a cat with a uti set up appointment online and confirmed was not in the system. They offered an appointment in person for 3 days after my significant other went to take him in and again not in the system. Its ridiculous. Utis can become serious after not being treated for to long in cats.

I love the way they care about your pet. No contact right now so you wait on your car. This tells me they care.

I felt that I had to share. Two weeks ago we brought our little girl in because we suspected she had a bladder infection. We were told she had bladder stones and started her on a special diet. She continued to get worse so we took her to our old vet and drove the distance. Turns out she had a much bigger issue, uterine infection. After x-rays and a full ultrasound of the abdomen there were no signs of bladder stones. She s been on her anabiotic for a few days and is doing amazing but not thanks to these people. Your furry friend deserves better.

We have been with Banfield for many years. We have two dogs and have purchased a Wellness Plan for each. There has been a great deal of turnover of Veterinarians at Banfield in the last several years. On or last visit, we simply wanted to refill a script for one of our dogs, and because none of the current Vets have seen our dog, even though it was less than 6 months for his last visit, they would not refill the script without a visit. When we took him to the visit, they had scheduled him with one of their new Vets, and he wasnt able to fill the script and had to ask another Vet to write the script for him. Banfield was nice enough not to charge us for the visit, however since our dog does have stress issues at the Vet, additional Vet visits are difficult for the Vet, the dog and for us. We used to be able to count on which Vet we would see on a consistent basis, but in the last 3 years there has been a consistent Veterinarian turnover, which has caused us concern. If you arrive early, they will no longer check you in early and give you a room, and we still had to wait 15 minutes before being seen. Unfortunately, I no longer feel like an important customer to Banfield, and we are now considering looking for a new Veterinarian due to the decline in customer service, and Veterinary turnover.

Ive been using banfield for over 11 years for my dogs. They do and incredible job. I gave it 4 stars because even with the insurance I feel like its still pricey out of pocket after paying a monthly fee every month.

They always take great care of our pup and they are very patient.

I have the yearly plan with Banfield. It renews in February, I called today to make my dogs yearly Dental exam and the first opening is in April?? Last year I called in January and they told me it was Too early to call but the gal today tells me that I should have called 2 months ago to get the appointment. When I can get my dog in, they take good care of him but the first appointment for dental is APRIL??? that is so not cool. Make up your mind, should I call 1 month in advance or two or several??

If I could Give this place 0 stars I definitely would. I brought my dog in a while ago after he got hit by a car. He was bleeding and whining in pain I brought him to the counter and explained to the Girl at the counter what happened. She then proceeded to tell me they are full and cant take any animals. She full on rejected any service to my dog or to me because they were Full and couldnt tend to him.. I left that place with my dog still bleeding and in pain with no service. I went to Blue Pearl and got him tended to there. They have much better service than this place and helped my dog and me.

I d give 0 stars if possible. As me am my husband were first time dog owners, we were trying to do what we thought was best for our dog. When we brought him the first time for his shots and a wellness check, they were so attentive and kind convincing me that signing up for one of their wellness plans would be the most beneficial things for our dog because he would get care whenever needed, he would get everything at a discounted price (medications/prescriptions), any check up would be free, and shots/boosters would be covered. At that first appointment, I was very confident in the staff and was very happy with my choice. As time went on, I became less and less happy. I felt as if we were being treated with more hospitality by the cashiers at Petsmart than by the vets and techs at Banfield. My first complaint, is that their schedule is always WAY booked out. On multiple occasions, I was told to go somewhere else because they had no time to see him. My dog had a very bad ear infection and they just said sorry, our next appointment is 2 weeks out . We ended up getting into a location that was an hour from our home, but I almost would ve rather waited the two weeks for a closer location because the service we received was far from good. The doctor spent less than 3 minutes with us, the vet tech wouldn t show us how to clean our dogs ears because she was afraid he would try to bite her (he was shaking and wining from the pain from his ear), and they insisted that we put a muzzle on him to help them feel more safe (our dog has never bitten the doctor before, he was even so sleepy and out of it from being on an anxiety pill THEY gave to us previously). I decided that the monthly wellness plan was not for us because we were still paying $80-$150 per appointment for medications, etc, PLUS the $45 monthly, it just didn t seem to be saving us money for what we were wanting to receive. I decided to set my membership to not renew at he end of the year, and I got a notification shortly after that my dog was still due for vaccine boosters, so I decided to schedule those to be done before the end of the year. Everything scheduled well, they called and confirmed, emailed a confirmation, and at the day of my appointment they checked me in no problem. 20 minutes after my appointment was scheduled to begin, a vet tech walked out and said that since I set my membership to not renew, his boosters would be $120 because they re technically not due for a week. So I either had to renew for another year or pay out of pocket. Needless to say, I did not renew. I have just been dissatisfied time and time again by the service we received, and I would not ever recommend Banfield for anyone s animals.

They pulled my dogs fluid line accidentally causing more pain then he was already in when I brought him in. He bruises easily according to the Dr. I have taken him to other banfield pet hospitals and never had my pet so mistreated. Pure negligence from a very unprofessional team. They tried fixing the situation with free pain medications. Due to the pain they caused him from ripping off the line accidentally.

$100 for giving karo syrup to a sick kitten. No fluids, not even any water in the kennel. She had a fever but they did nothing to hydrate her. She threw up the karo syrup. Never use this vet!

Not sure why Im paying for banfield pet protection. Anytime I need it, they cant help me and send me to another vet.

They are so rude, my dog needed to be seen today the doctor says take her some place else when we have a wellness plan and the sandy one always will take her in a heart beat but this West Jordan one is always rude every time we go in there and they dont wen care.

I have been taking my babies here for years. Such an amazing place. They are very caring and kind and treat my pets like their own. They have been very thorough with all the exams, shots, and check-ups. I would highly recommend Banfield to anyone who wants the best care for their animals.

My dog was put under for teeth cleaning and I was given Blue Pearl as an emergency contact for after hours. They dont share any medical information with blue pearl so they are unable to medicate pain. There needs to be a line of communication between these 2 vets.

Love these guys. I have been taking my pets here for years! And now my new pets. They are so sweet and friendly with them. I couldnt ask for a better place!! And the wellness plan make its more affordable for me! Best place out there.

My experience with Banfield is a bit of a saga. If I could give them half a star, I would. I started using them because I lived nearby, my roommate used them, and they offered the monthly care plan, and I could drop my 2 cats off and pick them up after work. Then I moved and the staff changed and it went downhill. I now had to drive 30+ minutes to get to there and my favorite vet left. The first issue came when Id asked for them to trim my cats nails too, and then was informed when I picked them up, that they couldnt take one of my cats blood, because they had done the claw trimming first! So I had to take him back in later. To me, drawing blood was more important than trimming his claws. I started to wonder how they were treating my pets as they talked about one biting them. I also tried to schedule appointments where I didnt drop them off and just stayed there, because driving there and back and there and back didnt make any sense and stressed out my cats. They didnt have a lot of those appointments. My relationship really soured with Banfield last October when I took my cats in for their first dental cleaning. They called me later saying my one cat needed THREE teeth pulled and wanted to charge me $400! I asked if that could wait... it could... and was never mentioned again. So apparently it wasnt this great emergency. Here are the issues I have with Banfield. 1) I have stood at the front desk where one person was on the phone for 10 minutes without acknowledging me or asking someone to come help me. 2) I called a few months ago to change my plan back to the lower amount and was told that would happen that day. It didnt and, when I called later, I was informed it wouldnt change until October, when my contract was up (guess what, I didnt renew it)... I was mislead. 3) One of my cats escaped and had a cat fight. A couple days later, I noticed two deep scratch wounds that were leaking puss. I called to schedule an appointment and was told they were booked! They suggested another Banfield, which was also booked. So a cat with infected wounds is not an emergency to them. Luckily, I had a check up appointment scheduled (which had never been confirmed) and was able to take him in. But I had to pay extra for the meds and collar. They said they would call to check up in a few days. They called 3 weeks later. 4) One month later my other cat began throwing up and coughing. This lasted all night. I talked with two vet friends (who are out of state) and we figured he had swallowed something. He wouldnt eat or drink. When he woke me up at 4am with more foam vomit... I called Banfield and left a message to explain that I was coming in with my cat and why. When I arrived, just as they opened, the receptionist and staff treated me as the biggest inconvenience for coming in without an appointment! My cat was throwing up all night! Yet they didnt seem to care that I was stressed and worried. Of COURSE, I had to leave him there and drive back home. They called just as I walked in the door (seriously) and told me that they needed to take x-rays. I had to pay $160 for them. They found nothing! They suggested I take him to a specialist, because they didnt want to sedate him and find nothing. So I had to drive BACK, where the vet on duty told me that my cat was prone to bite and then admitted that animals hated him! Luckily, they referred me to AVC (Advanced Vet Care) which, if it werent so far away, I would take my cats there all the time. They were wonderful! The difference was night and day. They were sweet, helpful, informative, and patient with my cat, who surprisingly does not bite when you dont manhandle him. They comforted me (by now it was about 24 hours since this all started). Turns out, he had swallowed a large piece of grass and it was stuck up his nose and down his throat. They took it out. I highly, highly recommend AVC. Unfortunately, I had to pay them, which was a lot, but worth it. My contract with Banfield ended this month, Ive canceled it, and I will never use them again.

I have been taking my dog here for the last 2 years, and shame on me for not realizing that they were robbing me blind! I hated how cold and clinical it is there... and the fact that you can spend $200 and not even talk to the vet..... All they want is your money. I have never actually felt like they cared about the health of my pet. I have just adopted another dog, and im glad to say I have found a good vet (healing hearts animal hospital) and banfield has lost 1 current client and an opportunity for another! Find a local vet! I promise you will be way more satisfied!

We had adopted a dog from the Humane Society and brought her into this location for a rabies shot. Unbeknownst to me they also did a wellness check and then had me sign up for the banfield plan. Well, the next day the dog and my original dog started to really go at it and we had to take her back to the Humane Society. We are still paying $200+ for a wellness check that would have been covered for free because we had a coupon for a free wellness check -- but nobody mentioned this.

Staff is very nice. We called just before closing with an emergency one night and the tech and doc stayed a couple hours late to treat our dog at no extra cost. The wellness plan is a great value if you get all the shots and dental cleanings.

I brought my mothers dog in for shots and checkup and the lady that checked me in said she couldnt find my appointment and I never knew if she did or not, even though I got in. Once I got into the waiting room, the vet tech that first came in and did the initial set up and questions was nice. The veterinarian that came afterwards was not nice. She asked me if I was planning on spaying my dog and I said no. She got mad at me and starting saying shame on you and all I could say was sorry its not my dog its my MOMs dog
