When my cats have an unplanned issue and I call to get an appointment I am met with un- empathetic employees over the phone. They tell me to go somewhere else even though I am paying them monthly for when stuff like this pops us. It is impossible to get an appointment unless it’s schedule months out. I am paying for a service I am unable to use and is a waste of money.
Call because my pet lost a tooth....can't see him even though I have their wellness plan. No doctor for three days at the facility and they recommend going to an emergency clinic rather them give care. Why have a wellness plan. This location can't seem to keep a vet and randomly close on any given day. Extremely frustrating.
My dog had been prescribed allergy medicine from my last appointment . She is extremely itchy to the point that she is losing chunks of hair from itching. We did the course of allergy medicine, and since I was unaware that she had refills, I called Banfield to see if there was anything stronger Or if they could refill the script. She let me know we had 3 refills so I was happy about that and let her know to just go ahead and refill it. I mentioned to her that we had a couple of pills left because I gave her a half a pill for the first week instead of a whole pill since I read the directions wrong. You're supposed to give her a whole pill for the first week and then from there on out they can only have half a pill a day. The only thing I did wrong is giving her a little bit less for that first week. And because of this, she refuses to refill her prescription now for us. This just seems ridiculous. I wasn't even aware that we had refills. So either way I would have been a week or two off or late for refilling the prescription. I don't see why that means we can't refill it now? Seems silly. They're just antihistamines.
Impossible to get someone to answer the phone, really poor service in that department. Trying to get medical records for my pet and for the amount of money we pay for care… you think there would be budget for someone to answer the phone
I'll never take my future pets to a Banfield. I brought my cat in because I was concerned about his weight loss, hair loss, decreased appetite and lethargic. I told him he had been sick over 3 months and not showing signs of improvement. They said he was fine and to just give him appetite enhancement food. Well it turns out he had cancer. Looking up signs and symptoms of cat cancer my cat had pretty much all of it. I'm frustrated that this wasn't caught before it was too late. I'm frustrated that Banfield books themselves completely full and doesn't have appointments available for day of. Either way I feel like the doctors here failed to recognize basic s/s of cat cancer and because of that I took my baby to 4 different appointments before he was taken to a ER and died 36 hours later. I get that they are short staffed but at least hire people who can recognize major illnesses on animals instead of brushing them aside and just saying they need appetite stimulants.

I have had a wellness plan with Banfield for 6 years but lived in other states. Since I’ve moved to Utah this is the worst care I’ve ever encountered. We have had to reschedule multiple appointments with this clinic last minute because they just randomly close the hospital. Today we showed up to a confirmed appointment and the hospital is closed and nobody is even bothered called to cancel the appointment this time. This is very unprofessional and I really think it is not worth having to pay a monthly fee for nonexistent care

The staff at the 7712 s 5600 w are the best. Always kind and helpful. Dr McKenna.Walters was extremely helpful helping us deal with our dogs cancer. Although Im not real happy hearing I have to make 10 more payments on the wellness plan after my pet passed away.
Terrible my dog got real sick after comp and shots called everyday for a week no one helped me out waited 20 min for a manager then went to voicemail. They dont have enough Vets.

Update: Used to love this place but only because they had staff that was competent, not anymore. Love this place, Dr. Johnson is great! Cost efficient and they are flexible! I followed them from Taylorsville even though it is an inconvenience!! Way to go to team West Jordan!
Banfield gives the best care for your pats
So, on April 26th , we brought our very sweet 10 year old German Shephard in for a vet visit.. He wasnt feeling good and had a few concerns to get him looked over, we were getting signed up for the senior wellness plan and was going to get some bloodwork done and to see what was going on with the limping he had going on and he had stopped eating so we knew he wasnt feeling good. The front desk was just not friendly, but the nurse who was taking the notes for our sweet Ranger was amazing.. So upon leaving him, which was so odd to me as they said, we will look him over, do some bloodwork, and give you a call back to pick him up later and if there us anything outside if the plan (cost wise ) they would call us. We were like, ok... So we headed home and we were home for about an hour and the phone rang and it was the Dr. and he advised us we needed to come pick up our dog as he was extremely sick and he needed to be hospitalized. He needed a flash ultrasound, IV fluids, and to be hospitalized... we were in shock.. The dr seemed very scatterbrained, and jist wanted to pawn off our dog and didnt want to deal with him... So we rushed to pick him up and asked the front desk people is this really happening and is there any way to talk to the DR and they denied my request as the dr on the phone made it sound like my dog was dying ( which he was) and would not come talk to me as they sent out a tech to talk to my husband and I.. We asked her if our dog was dying, and she said yes... So we asked her if we should just put him down, and she said yes but recommended not to do it here as the dr is terrible and non empathetic... So we were like, WOW!! So we paid an outrageous bill for we dont know what and ended up taking out dog to another vet just to have someone talk to us to tell us our dog was dying and to have him put down...So $900 later and 2 vets our sweet Ranger was put down... But honestly, that Dr. was a coward for not coming out to talk to us and telling us the truth and really just not wanting to deal with our dog.. While we were waiting for them to bring our dog out, a customer came in and was so upset as she had been requesting heart medication for her dog for 3 weeks, like, really... DO NOT take your sweet fur baby there...Incompetent people and Drs....

I m so disappointed with this place! I have brought my dog to this Banfield since she was a puppy, once they moved out of Petsmart we followed them to the West Jordan location. We have the wellness plan she was diagnosed with Kidney failure in November. We should be able to get her in to be seen in a time of need. Sadly, the time has come to have Mollie put down; she hasnt eaten in 5 days, shes not drinking and shes very weak. I called to try to get an appointment to put her down. Thinking I could bring her to the vet and clinic that knows my dog, and the receptionist was very insensitive. She offered to get my dog in next Tuesday, had she even looked at my account she would have seen that we have a scheduled appointment next week as part of our wellness visit. The advice she offered was you can call other Banfield locations to see if they can get you in sooner followed by have a nice day Clearly, being tactful and caring is not her strength.
This location seems out of touch with other locations. Received a all from them saying they had an opening making is so we could get in early for and an appointment in July. Thought this was great luck even though the location is not the best for me. When I got there every seemed normal until we went into the exams room for check in. This is when I was told I had to pay for a $200 upgrade for a chest xrat that was required. I simply said this is not what my normal location does so I will wait and go there for a cleaning. So I simply did the comprehensive exam. When she was ready for pickup was told to pick her up at 4:15 it was 2:45 at the time. I explained that I was right around the corner so they said 3:10 she would be ready. It is now 3:45 and still have not picked her up. I feel they are more concerned with up sales than actual animal care at this location and depending on how the cleaning in July goes we may be looking for a new vet. Just to be clear I am not against getting treatment that is needed. But I am against being forced into something that their paper sat is optional. Pickup was finally at 3:50. Took 40 minutes from when they said.
I have a very sweet and gentle Rottweiler. I ve asked them multiple times if we can do a in room examination because all the doctors who s see my dog seem uncomfortable with my dog. He doesn t growl or bark but they don t want to look at him and they insist on brining him back. Where if they do a in room examination I can see what they are doing to my dog and I can assist if needed. They insist my dog take VERY STRONG drugs so they can examine him. He doesn t need those drugs and if we do an in room exam it would be better. I am tired of arguing with doctors about MY dog and them not compromising with me or treating my dog with respect. Another thing the wellness plan I ve tried THREE different times to get it to not renew. Every time I ve called to make sure my wellness plan doesn t renew they tell me it s set to renew. I am not heard, they don t listen, they re talking more and more about my drugs my dog should take but doesn t tell me about my dogs teeth, or my cat health I had a bunch of questions about my cats weight and other concerns I had. The doctor pushed them off and continued to talk about why my animals should be drugged. I ve never seen a vet so uncomfortable with animals before.
Rangers getting older, and I respect that Dr. Oltjen, knows how important it is to me that we try and make him comfortable. He has a hard time walking and getting up and down. But I also know hell respect my decision when and if the time should come that I may need to make some hard decisions. I admire his empathy and his knowledge of different things we can still try to give my Fur- Baby comfort and quality of life.
I have always had good experiences there. They always remember her when I take her in for her appointments and they have been understanding the time I had to cancel last minute because we had an urgent family matter. They are not pushy about trying to order extra tests or labs that are not necessary but yet they are thorough. My appointments are usually drop off appointments which are convenient for me. The techs are knowledgeable and helpful. The only thing I would change would be that I would prefer a callback from the vet rather than a tech. I pay a lot of money for her pet plan and for her care and I think that I should at least get a callback with a report from the actual vet.

Appointments kept getting cancelled and when I rescheduled on another location for earlier date (which they recommended) but then on the day of appointment I was also cancelled on. It was ridiculous. I called a another local vet location that same day and they were able to see my cat that same week. I will no longer be taking my cats here. I rather spend a couple more bucks elsewhere, which I did. They lost a patient thanks to their round around.
Banfield seems caring enough? HOWEVER, fine print is horrible. Our dog had to be put down ie internal hernia. We must continue to pay till his contract runs out! In addition our new dog would need his own contract while continuing to pay for our deseased dog contract in full $$$ My details might be ? at this time, tho I know 2 smart caring adults were defeated. FEELS SO VERY CRAPPY @ THIS TIME
The care team here does such a great job with my pets. I switched from another clinic I was going to and Im not looking back! Their staff is friendly, theyre great at communication and follow up after each appointment. 10 out of 10, would recommend!

I want to preface this with letting you know my friend is physically disabled and has to schedule in advance assistance driving and getting their cats in the crates. My friend had let this location know two weeks prior that they aren t able to receive voicemails. Despite knowing this, when we arrived the girl at the front desk said they couldn t see us. When we asked why she changed her story twice. First she said the nurse went home - it was 7:30am - then she said later we told the nurse not to come in because you didn t confirm despite both cats names being on the appointments for today board. When I asked about the board she said they put the names up last night for today. She said there were not nurses available to take the appointment despite the difficulty my friend experiences getting the cats there. Not only will my friend be cancelling their membership, we will be taking the cats somewhere else. On top of being super rude and disrespectful, what if there was an emergency would they have nurses for that? We will be finding a vet that prioritizes the animals and compassion over policy.

I have been coming here for about a year now. The staff is wonderful, very understanding and helpful always ready to offer options and sit with you especially if finances are a concern. IMPORTANT: DO NOT be seen by Dr.Deluga. Request another doctor if you have to.
I m seeking legal advice so I m not going into details, but I would highly recommend avoiding this Banfield location for any of your fur babies needs.
Super helpful, answer all my million questions, super knowledgeable, went through financial options, gave me heads up for potential risks, patient, kind, funny. Good people.

I took my dog in for a health certificate for travel and my dog seemed happy and well after his day at the hospital; however, communication between the front desk, nurses, and myself was not ideal. Would have appreciated being told before the appointment what documentation I would need to provide to complete the health exam. It was frustrating to be told in a call that they needed documents after I was already told by the front he was ready for pick-up and in transit!
This place is so incompetent it is embarrassing. Our dog was scheduled for a spay (and has been scheduled for months they even called to confirm the appt on Monday even reminding us what we need for our girl)- they almost performed a hip dysplasia surgery on her because the techs didn t chart correctly . Read that again, please. They almost performed a surgery on a 7 month old dog that it didn t need. They are incompetent. Then they tell us we will have to wait another 4 months- we ve had the appt since April! The manager could care less about this incident. No sincere apologies were given- no discipline. This whole incident has made me sick. To think of what could have happened to our dog? Please love your pets enough to take them somewhere else. DO NOT TRUST THESE IDIOTS WITH YOUR PET and if you do- I hope you have a good attorney. Ours has been contacted to help us get compensation. Ridiculous! So maddening and sickening!
This is the worst Banfield i have ever been to. The workers are rude and don t care about their patients. They are always canceling my appointments and then not telling me and I get there and then they refuse to do the appointment even though I had scheduled it and NEVER canceled. It s awful. I don t recommend it.
Seems to be short staffed or overbooked. 3 different times it takes forever to drop our dog off and picking him up is too long. Seems to be inline pricing-wise, so not more or less expensive than the market. They do upsell here, so the deal they offer will not be your final price you pay. Staff are very pleasant.

Extremely frustrated with Banfield. I have paid them thousands of dollars over the last 10 years and literally only REALLY needed them twice. Today is one of those days. My dog cracked his nail in two, he is crying and bleeding and Banfield cant get me in at all. At any location. They referred me to emergency vet that has 8 hour wait times. The girl on the phone when I called was terrible. Kept saying we do the best we can. No Banfield you dont. If you did you would have appointments and staffing for long term customers who pay for plans and have emergencies. The first time this happened I ended up having to take him to VCA. They got me right in. Today again Im taking him to VCA. Over this. Over the $90 a month for nothing. Banfield has gone way down hill the last few years. I remember a time I could call and they would work with me and make it happen. Now they dont seem to care about my pet at all. Update - Banfield still doesnt help my animals. I have tried several times to make appointments for eye infection, other issues and no appointments for weeks. VCA always gets my pets in within 48 hours. I have tried to call and cancel my wellness plan with banfield several times and they hang up on me after waiting for 20+ minutes. Service is atrocious. Do yourself a favor and just sign them up at VCA. Cheaper AND they actually care enough to get you in in less than 2 weeks. Im not even on VCA plan and they get me in! I pay Banfield $90+ a month for rude service, hang up calls and no available appointments.
Honestly don t bother. I had one good experience followed by many bad and this location is a waste of time. They tell you you can pick up prescriptions, I drive 30 minutes then they tell me there s no doctor and they can t give me prefilled prescriptions. They flat out lied to me and told me it was ready to go on Friday. Saturday morning we have no doctor and can t give you your dogs medicine, try another location

I called to get my dog in for an ear infection and they said they could schedule her in 3 weeks. That s a bit ridiculous, I can get into my doctor quicker. Why am I paying for insurance through banfield, just to have to wait almost a month to be seen.

I get the we can see him in 3 weeks I asked why I pay for insurance if I can never get my dog in and the Response I got from this place was this isn t insurance, it s a wellness plan WHAT??? I had to take my dog to another vet to be put down! I called to try to get an appointment with the vet that knowns my dog and they were very insensitive. Offered no advice as to what I should do. In the process of trying to cancel my wellness plan for our puppy we got 2months ago!

Everyone told me not to go here, but I failed to listen shame on me, but you won t fool me twice. If you re looking for your dog to be another ticket for them to check off & move to the next animal this is your place!! (Still takes 7 hours of your dog sitting there before even getting seen) another piece of advice for the company, lady at the front desk you should maybe should look for another job that doesn t involve dealing with people mourning their hurt/sad/sick pups, your tude doesn t help the already added stress. If you re gonna try to make as much money off one dog, maybe try to slow down and explain throughly what each thing is (without the attitude) and why it s important. Do better, then maybe you ll have better experiences with clients.

We love Banfield Hospital. Our PC vet, Dr. Miller takes such good care of our fur baby. She always takes the time to explain things to us and admits if an issue is beyond her abilities. She gives excellent references if that happens. We have health insurance through them, and its one of the best decisions I have ever made. I cant recommend this place highly enough!
My new lil pupper is so very well taken care of when she is here. Im very happy with the puppy plan they offer as well.
Reply to the Response: I am indeed the OWP member. I have also talked to the online vet (several times including the current case). Everytime the online vet can only do a simple consulting and suggest me to visit/call banfield for a drop off appointment ASAP. However, again, it is impossible to make any appointment. Everytime I was told by banfield that we are fully booked, you need to be put on the cancellation list. Then I was never contacted. So it becomes a never-ending loop. Again, I dont know what Im paying for. Unlimited exam? Forget about it within two months! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I dont know what happened to Banfield, but I recently (since last year) found that it is EXTREMELY hard to make an appointment. It is nearly impossible to find an available slot in the online appointment making system. The system only allows you to see time slots within two months, but there is always no available time within two months. So, whats the point? My dog might have an eye infection which his eye very red. I called Banfield (all locations in Salt Lake County) and was told that there is no available time within two weeks. I was suggested to call in the morning to be put on the Cancellation List. (I did this before, but I was never contacted). I was also suggested to go to an emergency vet. I called those places, but since this is not life threatening, the average waiting time is unbelievably EIGHT hours. All I want is a quick check and perhaps a prescribed eye drop. If it is indeed an infection and not treated in time, my dog might lose his eye. In summary, I dont know what Im paying for. Unlimited exam? Yes, youd better pray your pet wont die in two months before seeing the vet.

Excellent service. Very professional. Like the drop off service. The doctor called me to give updates, consult me on health service options, and medicine for my dog. They are a nationwide vet clinic which make them convenient.

Dont waste your money on buying a plan. It they schedule you outside of your plans coverage time then you have to pay out of pocket anyway. Why is it my fault if you cant schedule me within my plans coverage period? Thats not my fault and I shouldnt be denied the benefits I paid for because of your poor staffing and scheduling.
Thank you Banfield Pet Hospital. They got my dog in for a quick emergency appointment and they took great care of her. The facility was very clean and the staff was very friendly and kind. I also loved how they kept me apprised of the cost all along the way so that there were no surprises.

This vet office was great, Dr. Matta was a gem with our pup. She got down to his level and made him comfortable. The only reason for 4 stars was because it was so expensive. I understand costs are going up and going to a vet is a specialty type thing, but dang, over $100 dollars to listen to his lungs and heart and fill out a form saying he is healthy is a bit excessive.

Decent service, but do NOT opt for the wellness plan. In cases of a pet passing they do not permit you to terminate the plan early.
They charged me for draining and flushing an abscess but when I picked up abscess was still loaded and oozing out, THEY DID NOTHING!!!!!
We took our cat Lily in to see why she kept scratching a particular area on her jaw. We were told she had nicked her face on something and they gave us something to stop the itchiness. However, the scratch only got worse and we took her back and were told she had an abscessed tooth, but they couldnt operate that day. They scheduled me for several months out because shell be fine until the appointment. Its just an abscessed tooth. We took her somewhere else and found out she had cancer. We had to put her down because it was inoperable due to how far it had spread. Im never going back to Banfield as they cost me my best friends life.

When I called 4 months ago to schedule my dog s Spay, I was quoted $350. I had to bring her in for a well check before the spay, and they quoted the same $350. We waited 4 months for the appointment, and when I dropped her off this morning that price somehow changed to $563. My hands were tied as we had waited so long and didn t want to have another cycle before we could get in somewhere else. I had my husband call today to get a quote for a spay and guess what? They quoted him $350 over the phone for the same size dog. They re absolutely crooked and mislead people, when they know the odds of you cancelling after waiting that long is very low. Would never recommend and we will certainly not be back.

I called on Thursday 9/6/2022 around 3:00pm, the female employee that answered the phone seemed incredibly annoyed and abruptly hung up on me within 5 seconds of me explaining why I was calling. Thinking it was an accident on her end I immediately called back. A different female voice answered, I heard mostly laughing in the background from another person, and the employee asked if I could be placed on hold. Then I proceeded to sit on hold for 10 minutes and no one came back to talk to me. I have been with Banfield coverage for several years now with my dog and have had many great experiences in the past. My dog is now sick, and I was hoping to call and ask some questions about what to do for the time being, seeing as how I also called on Saturday 9/3 and was told I couldnt get an appointment for at least three weeks. The fact that I was hung up on and then put on hold by two employees that were laughing loudly on the phone is unacceptable. This was a terrible experience and unless something is done for me as a loyal customer I will leave Banfield and never recommend it to anyone else.

Banfield is always my go to for veterinary care. No matter what location I visit the staff is always super friendly and show that they genuinely care for each of their patients. This location went above and beyond for me and my fur baby. They were able to get me in on a same day appointment after my dog hurt her foot. Because I have a bully breed that suffers with anxiety and is not always cooperative when visiting the vet, I always have to take extra precaution with her. Dr. Johnson and his nurse ( I did not catch her name), working on 09/07/2022, were just amazing!!! Between the care they provided my furbabe and the additional assistance they provided when leaving I could not have been more happy and thankful. First time I have left the vet with the least amount of anxiety myself and not feeling embarrassed about my problem child. My furbabe is a sweetheart at home but due to her anxiety turns into Satans hellhound when we go to the dr. The entire staff was really great and amazing!!

I love the Redwood location! Weve seen Dr. Johnson and Dr. Mata over the years and both are very knowledgeable and super nice. I have a skittish GSD and Ive never had to muzzle her here. You can tell they really care about your fur babies. The front desk is always friendly and they know their stuff. I do recommend getting a wellness plan through them.

The Banfield vetenery hospital on Redwood Road in Talorsville is by far the best place for me to take my cat. We, me and Diva, ( my cat )were treated with courtesy. And we all were concerned about the same thing....Diva. When I left I was full of confidence in them and I know full well where I would take her if we need vet care in the future. Thanks especially to Dr.Miller and her nurse, Ashley.

I am impressed with how well my dog was taken care of and all the help and service she received was awesome. I am also happy for the how patient and kind the Dr was for the knowledge that was given to me and how good the Dr was at listening to my suggestions and concerns and was open to some of my suggestions as well.

We LOVE banfield pet hospitals! They have great pet care plans that you can pay for monthly to ensure your pets stay up to date on the necessities, plus if/when you need sick or emergent care you get discounts on your services and medications needed. Great staff, friendly and super nice veterinarians who call me personally every time my dog is in their care. This along wiyh multiple locations for care make Banflield a great choice for vet care!
They took the time to squeeze in my poor Bella who had a horrible accident over the weekend. They got her in last minute and walked me through the process and made sure to take into account my financial standing and went over everything they were doing. She is now doing much better and we will continue to go here.

My dog had to go to the emergency vet, and I was told there (AVC) to have him follow up with his normal vet in a week. I call this Banfield location and told them what was going on they werent able to get me in until 2 weeks after his ER Vet visit. I forgot about his appointment and had to reschedule. They didnt have anything again for 5 and a half weeks! This was something that is emergent to test my dogs kidney functions. The time before that, when I was at this location for a vet visit the vet kept calling my dog a female when he is a male, and didnt listen to a word I was saying. I told him that the condition that my dog had was going on for a few months. He came back into the room and said well, since this issue has been going on his whole life. To where I had to correct him and remind that it has only been happening a few months. How can you take anyone seriously when small mistakes keep on happening? Needless to say I scheduled him at the West Valley location with no problems and a lot more compassion.
Docs and staff have taken fantastic care of my dog, supportive with hard decisions and very welcoming.

These guys are the best. My dog had 2 surgeries at Banfield and they are so very good at what they do and really treat each person and animal they deal with like their own family. They really care and I cant say enough about how much it ment to me and my family.

She is so sweet and so good with my pup, she remembers her by name, and always gives her extra love and cuddles if we come during her shifts. Such a bad customer service my dog was bited by another dog and he was bleeding so I went there and the lady at the front desk told me to come back in more 2 weeks because they don t have any appointments for me , Of course I ll wait 2 weeks when my dog is bleeding. And this is just one story , any time I go there that what happened there and I don t know why I paid them 45$ a month. Such a bad place such a bad customer service. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We had to put our sweet Siamese cat Willow to sleep. The vet techs and doctor were so kind and explained the process. I love taking my pets here knowing theyre loved. We chose the private cremation option and will get to pick up her urn in a couple weeks. Thank you Banfield.

DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. My dog had a uti and they ended up diagnosing her with anxiety. My cat had a feline virus and they diagnosed her with allergies. This location s staff are completely unprofessional. They are lazy and seem to have very little knowledge on pet health and wellness. I m writing this in hopes of saving everyone some time and money. If you bring your pet here you will probably have to take them to a different location for a second opinion.
Its such a relief to always have these great providers available. We pay monthly for the plan and it has been enormously helpful to keeping our sensitive pup healthy. Unexpected visits can add up fast, and then having the expected checkups planned during the year just makes life easy. All staff and doctors have been so amazing during the three years we have been going there.
They missed an ear infection and told us it was just allergies. Got a second opinion elsewhere and our dog has a bad ear infection. Will not be taking our pup back here. Other Banfield locations have been fine. Just this location.

They always do their best to try to give her a full check up. I love all of the vets and staff that work here. I am absolutely livid with Banfield Pet Hospital. I have a wellness plan that Ive been paying 33 dollars for every month. I initially loved Banfield but when it has come down to really needing to utilize my wellness plan, they have screwed up royally. Ive suspected my cat has a UTI and so I took him in this morning to get a UA. They had me leave him there and then right as soon as I got home, they called me telling me that I needed to come get him and they will not do a UA on him today. They told me that he was very aggressive and he was working up the other cats in the quiet room. I go get him and ask why cant I just be with him in getting his UA done? He would be much more calm and cooperative if I was with him and they said I couldnt because if anything happened, theyd be liable and that it would be in everyones best interest if they did the UA when he was under anesthesia for a dental cleaning he has at the end of the month. If I wanted to do the UA at home myself, I would still need to pay for the entire thing. They also said that 90 percent of their cats brought in behave like this. Which made me think okay so youre calling 90% of your customers who bring their cats in with denial of treatment and to come pick them up? You would think if that were the case, theyd have better protocol for these issues. They did not seem to know how to handle my cat when he is just like any other cat. Hes even declawed. Im paying money every month to this service to this hospital and have to pay for additional treatments needed and they cant even collect a urine sample from an angry and anxious cat? I will be canceling my wellness plan and will take my business elsewhere.

I love how well my puppies have been treated there. They are booked out further than I wish they were, but I also know theres a lot of people with puppies right now. Their insurance plan covers the vaccines and sissy surgeries I need for my pups so thats been nice to help cover/spread out those costs also, banfield has a 24/7 vet chat service that has helped me out so many times. Great place!
Been going to this location for six years now! This is not even the closest location to where I live. But the service and vet have at this location has been so amazing Im afraid to try anywhere else again. I have tried the closest banfield to my home once and had an absolute horrible experience.
I have insurance on all 4 of my pets it is not cheap But it is necessary I have had pretty good success, Until now,, I took 1 of my cats, Hes less than a year old, yesterday and got my cat back with injuries and now iam having a real problem getting them to do anything about it they dont want to do any x-rays unless I pay for it,,I would say something is Definitely wrong with that, I believe the vet should just suck it up figure out whats wrong with my kitten and how it happened not so concerned about the money that is not right thats why 2 stars at the most,,,, and I may not keep my insurance with them I can go somewhere else.... this is RTD in Taylorsville Utah
We have a Belgian Malinois puppy. He is everything you expect from a Malinois hyper, but loving. They treat him so well!! We absolutely love Dr. Miller and all her staff! When she did his neutering she did such an amazing job the incision healed so well. We have been here plenty of times from kennel cough to skin allergies to a foxtail seed in his ear. They are nothing but so sweet to our puppy and very professional. I have recommended them to several of my friends.

Worst experience ever! Took my cat in to have them look at her paws that were raw from her licking them. I was sold on the plan providing comprehensive care with s lower price. When I received the call she was ready to come home, I learned that her paws werent even looked at (the reason she went there) and was told of all the tests they performed according to the plan. I was livid. I then was put on hold for 10 minutes while the vet and vet tech got their stories straight. When I got there to pick up my cat, I met with Penny who couldnt apologize enough for the confusion. I wasnt charged for the visit, nor for whatever they did under the plan. I will NEVER go there again. Still waiting for an email with the results of the tests done under the plan. Beware!

These guys are straight up awful. I need prescription food for my cat. The petsmart has accepted my prescription banfield provided them for four years to buy the food. Now petsmart no longer carries the food. I asked for an updated prescription but they won t do that without a vet visit. It s not like my cats food allergy has magically gone away. Not sure why it s so hard for them to just help me get the food I need. Update: Banfield replied to this and said to reach out to their email team. I have received two emails in a month from them and haven t heard back in over two weeks. Do not work with these guys if you expect any decent level of customer experience.

Love Dr Miller! She so amazing! She so tender with Noel. She goes out of her way as much as she can to help your pet and the parent of the pet. She a great listener , Always cheerful always gentle and gives hope without making promises. That is talented! Taylorsville BF better keep her happy so we do not ever lose her! Love most of the Nurses, they are so tender with Noel as well. Penny front desk receptionist is the number one receptionist there! I recommended Taylorsville BF service to every one!

If I could write Banfield 0 Stars I certainly would. I took a cat in that was approximately 2 years old who I thought had an upper respiratory infection. She had been an outdoor cat for most of her life but had spent the last 8 months of her life as an indoor cat. I had three cats at a time and asked if I could schedule an appointment for all them to be seen and was told I could not that the appointments were only 30 minutes and for one animal. Getting rid of upper respiratory is difficult in a multi-cat household and I would not have gotten rid of their upper respiratory infection medicating them all at different times. Regardless when I went in it didnt seem like they asked very many questions and I basically told them what I thought was wrong with my animal and they gave her an antibiotic shot and sent me on my merry way. I noticed after 6 days my animal was not getting better, I was told by the emergency vet that I took her to that I should have seen Improvement within two to three days when Banfield had told me it could be up to 2 weeks to see Improvement in her condition. Needless to say when I got to the emergency vet they could not believe how amazing she ate it she was and told me that my cat had jaundice, primary kidney involvement and fatty liver involvement and her GI tract with swollen and irritated. All this boiled down to them thinking that she had cancer and FIP. Im not sure how Banfield missed all these things, even when I looked at my animal after she had passed I could see the jaundice when the vet pointed it out to me. I feel that Banfield is only interested in money theyre not interested in treating the animal and listening to their customers. Needless to say, I am now going to be searching for a new veterinarian and I will never return to Banfield. Banfield missed the mark can you say inept and incompetent?

But they overcharge me for his services that I never received I tried to counsel they refuse to cancel without me paying another $160 on top of that $85 that I paid for the registration to sign up for the monthly hey said I wanted to sign quit I would have to pay them $160 and they re charging me for things that I never received on services I would not recommend this organization to anybody I think the fraudulent and over priced please stay away from Banfield, He also said I brought in the stool Stample of my dogs and I never did This is all I have to say people stay away from Banfield bad business dealings with Their customers

First off I want to thank Dr. Huelin she has been the best vet that I have been to. I use to go to Banfield in West Valley they where good, but super busy and over booked themselves and when my dog had an emergency West Valley could never get him in. When I called Banfield in Taylorsville they always got me in. Dr. Huelin was so great, she showed that she cared about my dog and his health. First time I took him into her he had pancreatitis, she did testing to make sure that is what he had. She gave me a special diet that he had to eat for awhile. After eating the special diet for a while I could change back to his regular food, but he got sick again, I called West Valley they where booked and couldnt see him. I once again called Taylorsville and they got me right in. Did more blood work and more tests, he now has to be on the special diet the rest of his life, but not only did she explain everything so I understood her, she truly cared about my dog which means the world to me. Dr. Huelin is now my main vet. I cannot say enough good things about her. She has been the best. I also love there insurance program as well, it has saved me so much money! Now all 3 of my dogs will see her from now on. I will be a Banfield customer for life. Thanks, again Dr. Huelin!!

despite having it posted next to the desk that sick and injured pets will be seen first, I was turned away with a dog that was trembling, clearly in pain, not taking food, and had a DISTENDED ABDOMEN. I am even a wellness plan member. Horrible, lazy, uncaring service.
Can I rate this place negative stars? Spent the night at an emergency veterinary clinic, we were referred to this location as it was open on sunday. We drove up from lehi to be there when it opened. My kittens leg is broken, obviously as it was dangling, and I was refused service. Because We have pets here that have appointments. I pointed out the sign on the wall that states injured and sick pets will be seen first. She said that only applies to those with appointments . WHAT GOOD IS THE WELLNESS PLAN IF YOU TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS OF 14+ YEARS SO POORLY. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. The staff have no hearts, and are very rude in the way they talk to others. NOT IMPRESSED.
Dr. Miller and all the techs have always taken excellent care of my dogs. From yearly visits to sick visits to euthanasia for one of my dear dogs, they have always provided top of the line care.
Not too impressed with the hospital as Everytime u bring my dog for an office visit, they make some excuse to prescribe meds for my dog. I end up always paying $50-$80 every visit until I figured out Im being taken advantage of .. I have to argue with the very Everytime I come in just so I dont walk out with useless meds . Wish there was another place that has pet insurance but Im stuck with this one.

We used to take our dogs to this facility, however ever since Dr. Pozzuoli left it sucks. I have been called and given devastating news on my dog, to only have a call later saying they took the wrong sample from the wrong dog. We have been turned away so often by this location with a cold-hearted woman at the front. Any emergencies and you can forget coming here even during the day. If you dont have an appointment - expect to spend $$$ somewhere else because they turn you away. All of the good employees leave.
My dogs have been going here for over 8 years, I never really had an issue with them until today. My dog is sick and needs to be seen. They told me they were booked until after the new year and to call another banfield. I get that you have your regular healthy dog check ups but I think it is a joke that you keep nothing open for our sick babies. I am not impressed at all. Think I will be searching for a better vet.
My cat of 14 years was dying and I brought her in to help ease her passing. Everyone was so kind and understanding, but professional. I was by myself and they really made it as easy as possible. Im so grateful for their customer service and human kindness.
I wouldnt recommend any pet owner take their pet to the Banfield facilities. We took both our dogs there for over 11 years, paid tens of thousands of dollars for their insurance plans, surgeries, medication, etc. but at the end realized what a huge mistake we had made. Most recently we lost our lab of 11 years. When we needed Banfield the most, they turned us away even when they knew that we had insurance at their facility. Because it was an emergency situation, we called another Banfield location on Redwood Road and they turned us away as well because they said that the doctor was on a lunch break. We ended up at Lone Peak Vet in Draper and they took us in immediately and even went the extra mile to transport him to an emergency facility without charging us for it. It was the first time for us to go there and we feel that they treated us better than Banfield ever did in the 11 years. Dont waste your money and dont risk your pets life in Banfields hands. When Banfield heard that we lost our pet, they did call us and let us know that both of their centers should have never turned us away. However, when we needed them most, they refused to see us
