It's been a year since my Tinker kitty crossed the rainbow bridge. It was this hospital that treated my kitty throughout the 10 years I had her. I recently acquired a new kitty from the humane society. The sweetest kitty ever. She acquired an eye infection and quickly made an appointment with West Jordan Veterinary hosital! The staff, techs and Veterinarian are absolutely without a doubt animal lovers, as they treated my kitty with so much love and care. Almost as though she were their own. I highly recommended this place for your pets veterinary care!
Extremely happy with these guys!! First off making a appointment I was able to get in the next day! I was late for my appt due to traffic and they were extremely understanding! Did not have to wait They took us back to our room immediately. And I was honestly expecting a bigger bill. Def recommend and I will def be back . Thank you
I have 4 dogs and have been going to competitor for years. One of my babies, has had some severe allergy symptoms for the last two years. I’ve spent thousands at our previous vet as well as emergency vets trying to figure out unfortunately what is wrong with my poor guy only to feel as if they were trying to sell me on procedures, not curing or fixing or diagnosing what was wrong with my little guy. At the referral of a friend I chose to try out West Jordan. Animal clinic/animal crackers specifically Dr Graham. We’ve only been for two visits so far however, the attention the staff and his office has given my dog and the concern to try and figure out what is ailing this poor guy. As everything else says he’s a healthy dog. Thank you so much for caring for my little guy as much as I do definitely will be bringing our other animals to you guys. And referring anybody that will give your office a try.
We absolutely love it here. Dr. Graham is the most empathetic veterinarian I have ever met. He is kind, compassionate and intelligent. He knows how to hold heart space for animals and their owners. Thank you Dr. Graham for your kindness, it touched my heart, it made my grief feel seen. I recently lost my soul dog Waffles and we went in because our other dog was struggling with the loss. Dr. Graham is really good at what he does. Thank you again. 💕🐾
Been to this vet clinic a few times now. This most recent visit was bringing my girlfriends cats in also. We both had an outstanding visit with the vet and the clinic. These are truly great people that not only care about their business but our animals and the relationship between the two. I have had nothing but great, upfront, and entirely honest communications with this vet and clinic. I can't recommend this clinic much higher than i have been. However if there's a way to recommend them more I'm beyond ready too. They are that great to work with. A GIGANTIC thank you to everyone at this clinic!!
Great, friendly vet and staff. I took my 12 yr old cat in for something that concerned us. The vet and staff were very gentle with her. They explained possibilities that could be the source of her symptoms. They also explained tests they could run, being very open about the pricing. No pressure was put on us to run tests or spend tons of money. They left the choice up to us. I would recommend them every time!
I was pleased with the attention The staff gave our puppy. They know our pets are like our children. I appreciate the questions that were answered and I did not feel rushed in our visit. Thank you, Doctor Nemelka and staff
My experience was quite nice, I checked in with Daisy, I was directed right back to the room. The nurse took my dogs temperature and did the things she needed to do, the doctor was right in and did what he needed to do. Daisy got her shots. We discussed everything we needed to . It was easy, professional, and quite pleasant. The doctor made sure all of my questions were answered, they also made sure Daisy was very comfortable 🐾. Thank you to all the doctors and staff for caring and keeping all of our pets, happy and healthy 🐾❤️🐾 🐾 Daisy‘s mom🐾
Super friendly and caring, just what you want with your babies
Dr. Graham always gives my dog a thorough exam. He is knowledgeable, helpful and kind to my elderly Maltipoo.
Dr.parker was thorough very gentle and informative ,Quigley says he likes her so well go see her again!!!
it is not a good thing to hear that your pet has 3-4 months to live. The Dr. there has always been very informative as to her health and it was a complete shock to receive that.
Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly
i ve only been a few times but every time they ve been amazing and caring.
Excellent service! The staff is friendly and supportive.
Made an appt for my dog to get an allergy injection. We were in and out in 10 min. Friendly, helpful and expert staff. My dog, Bailey, was impressed too! Thanks
Staff were very friendly and informative. Veterinarian doctor explained his findings and gave information about what we should be looking for in our pet. Very personable.
No waiting time. Staff efficient and friendly. Dr shows empathy, was friendly, helpful with questions. His assistant was great also.
Quick, friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to deal with. We have been going here for years with our dogs.
Dr. Graham is amazing. He has been so patient with my dog, as she did not have good experiences at vets in the past. I highly recommend this clinic.
Excellent care and professsional doctors!
DR. PARK and Staff .. GREAT
Very friendly and helpful.
Dr Gram and staff were excellent
I came in with a concern they recommended X-rays and tests. After doing them I left with the same concerns and nothing resolved.
They love my dogs and my dogs love them
Our dog Luna had an ear infection. We were able to schedule a visit for early the next morning. She was treated and provided medications. Friendly, courteous and efficient.
Love the staff, they are always friendly and professional. Dr Anderson is always helpful and caring.
Absolutely horrible I brought my dog in there and they took x ray they said he was fine and sent him home with in 6 hours my dog was completely paralyzed. I showed them the x rays that the other doctor took and he could see there was a problem right away.
Always caring and personable, and great with my dog.
Ive gone to WJ Vet Hospital twice this year; once for a general check up on my very precious senior kitty Lilith, and again for the recommended blood panel I was unable to afford the first time. Scheduled an appointment yesterday to get the blood test done today (nice and fast!) and everything was standard, kitty was stressed since she doesnt like leaving the house, but the staff was gentle with her and she didnt seem too panicked. We talked about her blood panel results for hyperthyroidism, which were thankfully negative, talked about getting her shots updated, and then were going to try to manually express her bladder to get a urine sample and check on her suspected kidney disease. Well, when she came back from having her bladder expressed (or, attempting to-- she apparently didnt have anything in the tank!) I immediately noticed she seemed... Off. She let out a little yowl and seemed super tight and tense, which set some alarm bells off in my head. The staff didnt seem too concerned for a moment; old cat was probably just freaked out! But when they put her down and she began to do this weird wobbly waddle/walk, they started getting concerned too. At this point, I was starting to panic a bit-- and when my cat started panting Dr. Park(I believe thats her name) and her assistant immediately jumped into action and took her back to get her on oxygen. I guess my senior kitty cat had had enough that day with being poked and prodded, and had entered a shock sort of state. (Her notes said she was hypotensive.) Dr. Parks assistant was very reassuring and came to let me know after about 15 minutes of crushing anxiety that she was still on oxygen and would probably be okay, and that they were going to take some X-rays to make sure nothing happened internally. Honestly, I was expecting it to go either way and worried that my little babies heart would give out or something. Thats always the fear with senior pets and excess stress, right? They didnt give her back to me until her blood pressure had stabilized and she was no longer in that shock-like state, and though we talked about updating her vaccines and doing a few other things on her, the Doctor advised against it this session. Better safe than sorry! They didnt want to stress her out that badly again. Once Lili was acting more like her normal, skittish self, I let her go hide in her crate and the Doctor informed me what they found on the x-rays (nothing to do with her little episode! I guess shes a senior drama queen!). Both times Ive visited, though certain medications are suggested theyre never pushy about it and are very understanding about tight finances. I wasnt charged for the x-rays since that was a sudden mid-tier emergency situation, which Im very thankful for as that reassured me that shed be fine if I took her home after. The Doctor and assistant both reassured me that theyd add a note to her file that she was to be handled by them as little as possible to avoid triggering another episode during my future visits. Im also grateful they chose to do the vaccines a different day for her wellbeing, it shows me theyre not just trying to make a quick buck-- they put my kitty and her health first! Im very grateful they were so thorough with her and jumped into action quickly. This cat is my everything and if my vet trip where I was just trying to make sure my kitty is having the healthiest, happiest life possible despite her health issues turned into a death sentence I wouldve been beside myself. I appreciate how reassuring they were and that they went the extra mile to take her x-rays and make sure nothing internally had gone wrong, it was really sweet. They could have just handed her back to me once she was stable and let me go home, but then I wouldve been anxious the whole week! I can safely say that I really like this vet. Lili is still a bit frazzled and doesnt want to eat due to the stressful day, but she got lots of cuddles and a tablespoon of straight-up gloopy kitten treats. Im so glad shell be just fine.
I was impressed with my entire experience with West Jordan Veterinary Hospital. The entire staff was friendly and knowledgeable and Dr. Park really listened to my concerns and gave me clear information about my cat s health issues. I also really appreciate that costs were known up front and there was no attempt to upsell or give my cat treatments she did not need. Thank you!
AMAZING. I ve been coming here since 2017 and their service has stood the test of time!! The doctors and technicians always treat my dogs with great care and have helped us through some tough surgeries. Would absolutely recommend
How do you give zero stars? Came by this afternoon to pick up a momento made for us when they euthanized our dog a few weeks back. The Office is full of staff decorating for Halloween, but Im told they are closed and I need to come back. I WONT BE BACK AND NEITHER WILL ANY OF MY PETS. The new ownership of this place should be ashamed of themselves. Zero stars....would not recommend....plenty of other great vets you can go to. This is not one of them.
We have brought our pups since the very beginning and we have always been happy with the care we have gotten. We just had both dogs in for surgery and they both are doing so well. Our Bowser had his nares done and I have seen some not look so great afterward and his look so amazing and we are so happy with the work Dr. Park did on our boys. She is such a great and caring doctor and we are so happy this is the place we chose for our pet care. We cannot thank you guys enough.
Dr. Graham went above and beyond to do his best to give my boy a better chance when he was in a critical state
Very quick and responsive. Im very happy with how they treated me and my furry baby. Milo will be back for his second round of shots! Great service
We have taken our pets here for years. The employees are professional, friendly and competent.
I was very pleased by the thoroughness of the exam for my two papillons. Dr. Graham was kind, gentle and his handling of my nervous dogs was much appreciated.
Dr Park and the supporting staff were AWESOME! They both took the time to educate me on the health conditions of my dog and were sympathetic to my concerns and emotional state of mind. Thank you for being wonderful and caring!!
The incompetence of the veterinarian and staff lead to my dog dying in my arms. We went to them for help, they did X-rays- misinterpret them- told us she was stable and she could wait until til the next morning for surgery. That night my dog declined rapidly and died in my arms at the emergency vet. The best they could give me was an apology. I want a refund for the services that were provided and information on how to report malpractice. If you never want to see your animal again- feel free wasting your time visiting these sorry excuses for veterinarians.
Fabulous service! Front desk very helpful & friendly! Dr Nemelka is amazing! He is very patient especially with my anxious dog. He took time to listen to our concerns. Very nice & clean!
Got my new puppy going with all his shots and a new puppy packet. Friendly service.
The vet spent a total of three minutes with me, did not address my concerns, and just prescribed my dog some medicine to treat a possible solution. She is having pain in her mouth and he did not even attempt an oral exam. The tech and the vet did not give me time to ask questions.
The reception staff were really nice and fast. The tech was friendly and quick. Dr. Park was very thorough and she seemed honest. Id recommend them!
Was confused regarding the insurance plan. I had signed up for the insurance plan they offered I also taken my puppy there. (main reason for signing up for the insurance.) I was charged for the visit and then for the insurance. When discussing the matter with the staff they informed me that there was not a way to reimburse me regarding the charges for the visit even though the items are to be covered under the insurance. A little dissapointed regarding this situation considering it costed me almost 300.00 for the visit and the insurance. Had issues with the insurance application saving my credentials. was finally able to get that resolved. staff was friendly and doctor was very kind. Just wish the communication regarding the insurance and the charges were clearer.
Dr Graham clearly cares about his patients and gives the best care! And I can t say enough about how friendly and helpful all the techs are.
Animal Crackers Veterinary Clinic has been our choice for our family for many years. We ve always had a good experience there. We have to travel a bit, but it has been worth it.
Scheduling was easy and everyone were helpful. The Doctor was very thorough.
We have gone to Animal Crackers for all of our veterinary needs for many years now. The doctors and staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and compassionate. They care about both the clients and their pets, for which we are grateful. Our family highly recommends their services.
Dr Anderson was great. He explain everything he was doing. He was very sweet in talking to our dog and made her very comfortable during his exam. The assistant was very nice and answered our questions. Great place to take your dog.
Everyone is so nice. Dr Hookano is awesome! He did everything possible to make my nervous pup feel more comfortable.
Very caring staff. Dr. Park is very knowledgeable and truly cares about my little elderly puppy. Patient with us during a very difficult time.
When I make an appointment for my dog, I expect to see the vet. Instead, I had to pay for the tech who could not answer any questions. When I make an appointment with my Dr, no matter what the reason, I always see the Dr. I don t get charged for seeing the nurse. I would expect the same from a vet
EVERYBODY here is amazing, the staff, the assistants, and I cant say enough good things about her Doctor he was so kind, knowledgeable and really care about our dog, this clinic is HIGHLY recommended you will not regret to put your pet on their hands, their experience is priceless, they even called us to check how Ruby was doing. Thank you for all your care.
Absolutely amazingly friendly staff and doctor! Were so glad they could help us get our cat in instead of us having to go to the ER (we would have of course, but finances are tight after several unexpected events, FYI they didnt know that). Dr. didnt try to do more tests than necessary. (Dont want to poke around the ear more than necessary) Dr. just tried first possible treatment but definitely pushed for our cat to have a follow up for it (just in case the first treatment wasnt working (Ear canal was completely closed off, couldnt even see the ear drum (he even let me look)). He asked us to come back in 3 days (squished us in for an appointment and said to call if there were any changes to her ear (he also explained what to look for)) and didnt charge us for the follow up appointment. Her ear is definitely better! I couldnt be more appreciative of this place! Im planning on having our 2 dogs and other cat going there for now on! Im so grateful for them and Doctor Graham is absolutely amazing and everyone there!
We used to love this veterinary clinic. They used to have reasonable prices. However, I called for an estimate to see how much it would be to have a kitten neutered they quoted $769! That is outrageous. All of the other clinics I ve called have been between $200-$300. That is not competitive pricing, that is taking advantage of people looking to do the right thing by spaying and neutering their pets.
Went above and beyond for my difficult dog. I appreciate everything they do!
Very friendly and professional. They were able to get me in promptly and provided great service. This is my vet of choice!
Thank you Dr Graham Hookano for showing your compassion for my little dog Zoe. I know when the time comes she will be in good hands.
Veterinary Doctor and nurse were very efficient in taking care of Zoe and giving her the shots needed. Always helpful when I bring her in. Thank you!
900$ for a spay ?? I called two amd they are 350-450. That s crazy! You all are over priced!
Love the staff and how helpful, friendly and knowledgeable they all are
This clinic is wonderful. All of the staff is very patient and willing to help. I worked with Valeria and Dr Graham. Dr Graham is amazing, he is gentle and caring to my pet and myself throughout this medical process with my senior cat. The only thing I can say is I feel like they are understaffed right now. so if you text with a concern it may take a bit for them to get back to you(still within 24hrs) But it s worth the wait since this place is very knowledgeable, and I want the best care for my cat.
We usually go to West Valley Vet, but they have been a little crunched lately. Them being sister clinics with West Jordan makes my life so much easier! They ve been wonderful and were just as loving as West Valley is for my babies
Dr. Graham fit my sick dog in the same day (after her own vet wouldn t fit her in for two weeks)! Transferring her care to them. They were great!
Everyone was amazing! I have a nervous dog and they took great care going at her pace and gave such an awesome distraction with treats when the shots came out! I am so grateful for everyone that works there thank you guys!
I ended up at West Jordan Veterinary Hospital after our usual vet wouldnt accommodate seeing our dog before a family trip that was two weeks out. I reached out to West Jordan Veterinary Hospital and they got our dog in within 2 days. Graham Hookano was our veterinarian. He was amazing! My dog doesnt like his ears or paws touched, and no one gets to look in his mouth. Dr. Hookano got on the ground and worked with our 90lb fur baby through all his fears. They distracted him for all of his shots, and recommended what tests and treatments should be done for our next visit. We have a new vet! Ive already told my previous vet to send our dogs records to West Jordan VH.
Service was great as always. I have been bringing peta to this clinic for 14 years now. I am very happy with all their services
I wish I could give no stars. I called the clinic to get information emailed to me and waited for about 10 minutes and had not received the email. I called back and spoke with the same person and ended up spelling out the email to verify she had the correct one to which she responded to me just bc I have an accent doesn t mean I don t know how to spell thank you . I was very appalled and upset at the fact the staff thought they could talk to me that way. No where in our conversation was anything about an accent or not being able to understand each other brought up. I would not recommend them.
Im going to update my review from 5 years ago. Dr. Anderson is a wonderful vet. I always try to make my appointments with him. Been going here for years and had ups and downs with some vets. Thats the past. The staff is great to speak with and the office is clean.
Great Vet. I was able to get in same day and they were so great with my dog. Everyone was so nice and helpful.
No complaints. Was met with very friendly staff. Prompt service.
Fast, friendly and thorough. I appreciated the efficient way they conducted the checkup with our six year old cavalier.
My cat is 14 years old and they were so good and gentle with him! We have always taken our pets to this clinic! They have always been very nice and professional and very knowledgeable. Wouldn t go anywhere else
We had zero wait time. Dr Anderson and the techs were very good with Biscuits. They answered all our questions and were quick and efficient
Quick and easy! Great doctors
Our experience was good. We were able to get an appointment for my dog quickly. The vet was nice, and good with my dog.
Val and Dr Nemelka are amazing. They love my dog as much as I do. They take great care of her and are responsive to my questions. I appreciate them greatly.
The staff was kind and the place was clean. But my experience with Dr Nemelka was off-putting. We went in for a reoccurring cyst. Last year we had it drained, and ideally we get the whole thing removed. However, the nearly $2k price tag seemed outrageous! At the clinic we rushed her into last year when her cyst first appeared (wJVH didn t have emergency times quickly) they treated her and understood the goal of getting her comfortable. We know it s a cyst and aren t worried about pathology; her other labs come back pretty normally, don t quote me $250 to biopsy it. He also insisted she had an upper respiratory infection and needed $309 of X-rays. She actually sounds better than usual with the better weather. I feel I was given any options. $2k surgery or here s the door. As soon as I left the office I called around for second opinions. I felt judged for not doing drops for my 12 year old pugs eyes to slow her keritosis. Well, it was a fight and the old girl has cataracts. The drops just caused her anxiety and she wouldn t come near any of us. So we quit. We are going for quality not quantity for our dog. We began going to Animal Crackers in about 2007, and our dogs got amazing care there until 2020 and the change of ownership. We scheduled our new puppies neutering and they dropped the ball big time. Twice we showed up for appointments and made arrangements with our jobs to take him to get neutered, they weren t even in the office. No phone call or message alerting us to the change. From there on out it s been a cash grab business. Very disappointed. We won t be wasting our time or money there anymore.
While visiting Utah, my dog developed a rash on his tummy, so we had to find a new-to-us vet for him to see in the area. I chose this clinic because my brothers dog is a patient there, and he recommended them. It was easy to get an appointment quickly, which was lucky, since this had been going on long enough and needed to be addressed. Once there, our experience was about as good as can be expected when you have a fear reactive pup. Its always stressful, but the staff at this place were skilled enough to handle Ruger, and Dr. Park was able to examine him. I felt that the treatment plan we received was sound, the price was in line with other vets, and the staff were personable. As it turned out, the treatment plan did not resolve the problem. We needed a more thorough exam, with exact cytology to address the skin issue. After seeing a specialist and receiving precise meds to match the issue, the problem is now resolved.
These guys are great! They fit us in at the last minute on a Saturday. They re very caring!
The team at the West Jordan Veterinary Hospital is unmatched! The environment they create is so positive and welcoming! As an anxious dog mom (who is PICKY about her baby s care), I will 100% be coming back to Dr. Graham for future appointments! Shoutout to this amazing team for all they do. You guys are wonderful! Thank you Justin, Dr.Graham, and the rest of the team, from Champion and I!
Awful place. Very cruel to animals. We took our little Habanese poodle there to be neutered. They were busy all day and just left him in a kennel instead of alerting us to come get him when things got busy. Not to mention he was fasting for the surgery and hadnt eaten or had water since the night before. So we brought him in the morning and he sat in a cage starving all day until they closed and finally had us come get him in the evening. We got him neutered somewhere else. Talk about animal cruelty.
Amazing experience! I was rushed on time and they listened to my concerns and had me and my cat in and out in less then 10 minutes. 10/10 recommend!!!! Will be back!!!
Great vet nice staff. Will be going back. Dr. Anderson was amazing treating my chicken.
All staff communicated well with me. They answered all my questions clearly. They showed great respect for my dog s personality. They were patient with him and did a great job in comforting him to help ease his anxiety.
Very caring, knowledgeable, direct, honest, and open!! They treated my dog. Ended up needing an ultrasound, and they handled my referral and obtained pricing for me. So helpful. So happy I went to this vet clinic/hospital.
I had set an appointment for March 9th at 1:00 pm for my dog who has an ear infection and is in pain. I looked at the message on my phone when I got home from work March 8th, telling me I need to confirm the appointment made on Monday, I called immediately to confirm and was told that they cancelled my appointment because I did not answer the phone or respond to the text Sent out today, tried to explain at work I cannot answer the phone due to busy workload. My dog does not deserve this. It is obvious that this is about money and not patient care. This is an unusual policy. And unsafe care of Animals. Animals have rights too and I am reporting this to the state of Utah and BBB. This is not a caring, loving.buisness. Another long night up with my dog in pain and not knowing how long it will take to find a new Veterinarian.
I love West Jordan Veterinary. I have been with them since before when they were named Animal Crackers Veterinary. I have stayed with them because they take great care of my pets. Their staff genuinely care about my pets.
The clinic is AMAZING. Dr Anderson was so quick, helpful, informative, and got my sweet little turtle all taken care of. Jo was also so kind and helpful as well. I am so grateful to find an amazing place that can help with exotic pets! You guys are the best!!
We received amazing, thorough care for our fur baby.
It is the best place I have ever gone to to take my baby, they were super kind and attentive to both us and the baby, they explained the procedures to us and made us feel comfortable with them, I recommend it 1000%
Staff seems to really care about the animals which is nice but they do not care about your time. I was listening to the vet and they scheduled me to come in when I arrived they told me that I was a week too early. They told me to come back next week .. what . You scheduled me?! So Im taking another half day at work because I can only come back at noon.. they offered me a $10 discount. I know I might be an immigrant but you dont have to pay me like one. $10.00 for 4 hours of my time thats less than what $2.5hr thats fine. Ill never go here again.
Thanks for all help
Great service. Dr. Hookano was very specific giving me directions on my dogs treatment, you can tell he loves animals. I will totally recommend this place to bring your pet.
I have been bringing my pets here since 2003, back when it was Animal Crackers. I dont live anywhere near them, but they are worth the drive. Not only are they reasonable in pricing, but their vets have always been great. Even the ones who would try to upsell and recommend services that were not necessary. They were good, too, This last visit we saw someone new, Dr. Graham Hookano. He was honest, completely transparent, gave recommendations based on professional knowledge and personal experience (no upselling), and best of all, my dog loved him. He made her feel comfortable, and safe. She became happy when he came in the room. Shes never been this happy to be at a vet. You could tell that he really loves his job and isnt just trying to get through the day. It felt like he really loved her, even though they just met. I will be sure to schedule all of her appointments with him from now on.
Dr.Graham was very nice and professional. He made sure my cat was okay. He gave me details and information I needed. He made sure that my cat felt safe. He answered any questions I may have had. The vet assistant she was great to talking to her and answering questions and giving her advice on what she would do with what I asked. Both vet doctor and vet assistant very nice and knowledgeable and professional. Great first time experience here. I would come again.
It was a great visit
Very friendly staff. Took very good care of my boy.
My rabbit has an eye infection, so I called this vet and to my surprise, they see exotics! The receptionist was very helpful and nice getting my information and looking at appointments. She was able to see me in 30 minutes. Dr.Ross Anderson was very quick and to the point about the diagnosis, and got some medicine prescribed. Fingers crossed for a fast recovery, but couldn t have gone any better on the vet side of things.
Dr. Anderson and his staff have always been great with our Chinchilla Cuddles. Dr. Anderson is very knowledgeable about exotic animals.
Brought a cat in for a shot. Everyone was helpful and friendly. Since the cat didn t need to see a vet, getting an appointment was quick. We recently changed from another vet because their limited hours made it difficult to find a time that worked for us. W. Jordan Vet Hosp. has more days and longer hours which works better. My one complaint is that the shot cost about $30 -$40 more.
Had to have a last minute appointment and everyone was amazing and very helpful and caring. Definitely recommend
The staff here is always amazing and friendly. Dr. Graham is awesome. He took the time to answer any questions that I had about my sweet Chow chow, Tawny! I have been bringing my dogs here their whole lives. And I wouldn t go anywhere anywhere else. Thank you thank you!
I loved doctor Graham! And everyone there was really nice and welcoming. Perfect for my dog.
I felt like they cared and they were very thorough. I would definitely refer my family and friends. Clean!
Very happy with my choice to go here. I was looking all over online for places that offered same day visits but as we all know those can be pretty expensive. This office was great their price was reasonable and their staff is above and beyond friendly and treated my fur baby with kindness. I am very grateful for them.
I have been taking my dogs here for 10 years. All the doctors and staff are awesome
Good and felt staff listened to concerns
Amazing experience! My dog had a fatty tumor on his stomach that needed to be removed. I was very scared as he has had a bad reaction to anesthesia before. I met with Dr Graham expecting to just schedule taking it out and see it. Nope! He did a FULL examination of my dog and talked with me for quite some time getting all the details from me and explaining to me in detail how he would remove the tumor and minimize the risk under anesthesia. They made sure he was the first one under on surgery day and kept him longer to make sure they didn t send him home to have a reaction. Dr Graham is amazing at explaining things and taking the time to listen and care. I truly appreciate all the love and care that was put into making sure my baby was safe. The staff here is amazing. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
We have been going to this place for 25 years or longer. Yes, it has made changes throughout these many years, including names and Veterinarians. But they still give us the very best care for our babies. We had the pleasure of meeting a new Veterinarian yesterday and he was outstanding. Dr. Graham put our fears at ease by being so compassionate, but also by giving us the hard truth and complete knowledge, information and options concerning our babys health issues that he is dealing with currently. He saw that his needs were urgent and he took him in today, the next day to do surgery. He explained everything thoroughly, took time with us, listened to us and asked us a few times if we had any questions. He was very professional. We are glad that they worked us into their schedule and took prompt action. Dr. Graham, welcome and thank you for helping us. We appreciate all of you there and your utmost respect and kindness. We feel that everyone there at West Jordan Veterinary cares about their patients and the patients loved ones. I would say the cost is about average for the prices currently being charged at most places. The cost of care is much more now compared to back when they were Animal Crackers, but with new technology, modernization, wages and inflation, nothing is cheap anymore. Our loyalty is still with them and we are anxiously awaiting at this moment to find out how our babys surgery turned out and cant wait to bring him back home. I do recommend this place.
I came to get my dogs medicine and they were closed on regular hours. I came around 11am when they are supposedly open 9-2pm. When I called, the answer machine also told me that they were open, yet they re not. They didn t comply with their hours. Im very frustrated.
Love West Jordan Veterinary Hospital! Ive been taking my cat there for 19 years (yep, shes THAT old!). They have always been professional and very caring of my cat...maybe thats why shes lived so long! :D
I love, love, love these people. Dr. Jensen is so professional and nice. I have two cats, one sweet and quiet, the other a diva with a short tempered. Dr. Jensen knows how to deal with each one in their own special way. All of the Techs and office staff are friendly and helpful. They serve a population that may not have a lot of money but give your pets excellent and professional care. There are 2 vet clinics by me, and I pass the all to come here.
The Dr. Was great. Very knowledgeable.
This place really cares about you and your animals.
Seeing Dr. Anderson is always pleasant, hes respectful and sweet to the animals as well as respectful and pleasant to us as customers, his staff on the other hand need to work on their people skills. You need to pull some strings because I need that money today is not something you say to a customer already stressed about the well being of the animal in question. Ignorance will not garner compliance, there is and was no reason for her to come off with such a disrespectful and confrontational attitude to my fiancé. She was humiliated and disrespected for not being able to pay the full amount and needing to establish a payment plan, and told the medication, which is needed, would be withheld, it taking not one, not two, but 3 staff members to go back and check to make sure its okay with Dr. Anderson is laughable. Weve paid on time every time, and were sad to say that we have or at least had, a good relationship established with this vet before today.
Great Staff and awesome Doctors!
Been coming here since that start when palfreyman started this practice. Front staff is awesome, techs are always very knowledgeable and vets are very good with my pets!
They saw me as a walk in for my hedgehog that i rescued. When they told me he needed to have his eye removed but would otherwise be ok, they were so nice and worked with me on the cost. He is doing well and I am so grateful.
Ordered our pets meds through Chewy to save money, less than half the cost. Chewy contacted hospital on the 14th they didnt bother to check until we called them on the 20th. Not even close to what Dr. Palfreman started.
They took great care of my male German Shepard that had an accident running the fence. They took him that day when I called and explained what happened. Their intake and post care instructions are excellent and love that the Dr called me to let me know how my boy did and scenarios that I may or may not encounter with his healing. They consistently take great care of my boy. One of the very best vets here in Utah!
This used to me Animal Crackers which we loved and have gone to for over 10 years. Last time I went with my two dogs last year it still was Animal Crackers. We had an appointment today not knowing that it is now West Jordan Veterinary we were surprised. We had the same appointment basic shots and exam which was $ 344.00, we were shocked at the price increase, it was about 70 - 80 dollars more then last year which explains the empty waiting room. This place used to be standing room only in the waiting room, seems the new owner is pricing the cliental out. Not only is this super expensive now the vet was rude and a jackass. We were charged for an exam which was done in the matter of which seemed like 2 minutes, in which the vet missed the mass on my dogs chest that has been there for a few years and is noted in his records. It was such a bad experience I am so sad Animal Crackers is no more. Over priced and poor customer service We will NEVER be back. Nice job loosing a long time customer. Please take my advice and find somewhere to take your fury children avoid the disappointment. Looking for a new vet? Any suggestions.
West Jordan Veterinary Hospital is a great veterinary. They seem to really care about the animals they treat. There service is wonderful. They have become a pricier vet but still love the service and care for my pets.
Love Dr. Andersen! He s genuinely caring and listens. The staff is great too!
This place is pretty much a scam. Our cat was limping one morning when she woke up, and we noticed there was a wound on her right leg. I called lots of animal clinic and hospitals, but most of them are full or not taking any new patient. This place said they have a spot the next day 3pm and we just needed to pay $90 reservation fee that will go into the treatment expense. My husband took the cat in because I was quite sick that day. They messed up the appointments so he was waiting for over 30 min and no one could take a look at the cat. When my husband came out, he was visibly stressed because they told him the cat needed to stay there overnight and the first visit would be $1200-$1600 just for blood work, X-ray, sedation and wound treatment! It doesnt include any surgery and they cant do any orthopaedics work. I called them and asked for the price break down, and she said theres no price breakdown until after the treatment when we pick her up. I asked if its necessary for her to stay overnight, and she said were not a 24-hr hospital. she cant stay here overnight. That was NOT what they told my husband. I requested giving me a call right after x-ray before any treatment since they already sedated my cat. The vet did call us within an hour and said theres no broken bone and theyll do the treatment for the wound. I picked up our cat in 30 min and the bill was $750. (Not sure why its so different than their first estimation. Still lots of money though.) They didnt deduct our $90 reservation fee from our bill so I had to call them the next day to get that refunded. It was a very stressful experience. The whole time we didnt see the vet at all. Vet tech also didnt explain much what we should do or be aware of. *When I texted our vet tech friend saying our bill might be $1200 and she said its outrageous. She was actually the one telling us what to do after surgery: We take warm rag and compress on our cats abcess everyday. Our cat did recover in a week.
No complaints about the treatment. They were great and really sweet with my little dog.
Love this vet, been taking my pets there for years.
The Dr. Was caring he gave us a few options on what to do with my handsome boy rocky. I did not feel like the Dr was Pushy one way or the other.
Always a very friendly staff. We had one puppies a one adult dog with us so we had lots of questions. They did not rush us & explaining all the different vaccines until I was happy with the process.
They are the best! I ve been taking my pets there for years. The most caring team and they love our pets!
I love this place. They are fast and they take their time to explain any concerns. They are open to my dumb questions as well.
Excellent service!! Very caring!!
They were very helpful in getting our dog in fast. Very friendly place.
Every one was very pleasant. We got in to our appointment in a timely manner. The Dr. Was wonderful, loving and patient with our puppy. I would highly recommend West Jordan veterinary Hospital
Love the way they treat my dog. He is happy and excited to see all the employees and they take great care of him and explain things to me. Superior doctors and I love that for my fur baby.
The first time I took one of my fur babies to Animal Crackers Veterinary Hospital was in um . 1997 or 1998. And I LOVED them. Their drs and techs and staff and George the resident kitten were all so great (he came along around 2005 ish?), comforting and actually pretty affordable. There s been so much since then some still great, some not so great but I think you re gonna find that pretty much everywhere you go. On the occasional not so great times I tried switching to other vets and it was almost ok. Lot more expensive too. I keep coming back to Animal Crackers and sweet George the kitten is still there although now he s sweet ol man kitty George but still so chill and friendly. Anyway, I know it s hard sometimes to get an appt right when you want it but that is a fact all over the valley and Animal Cracks still accommodates the quickest AND the best.
Personally, I preferred the name Animal Crackers, but I suppose the new name brings about a more medical feeling. The doctors and techs all really care about your furry friends no matter what their name is. There were some hiccups with the organization shortly after the new name, but my last visit was awesome and went super smooth.
Excellent advice and service Veteranary services were great.
They were really knowledgeable and helpful with everything that was going on with my dog. I would recommend this place to people.
I have been going to West Jordan Veterinary for years. They are professional and very caring. I highly recommend them.
Dr. Anderson is absolutely wonderful!!! Hes kind, caring, knowledgeable and professional. Weve been taking our pets to him for years. Weve even followed him from one office to another. All of the staff at this location are fantastic and easy to work with. Its clear that they all enjoy what they do.
I brought my cavalier kings Charles spaniel to West Jordan Veterinary Hospital for his annual wellness exam and vaccinations. Prior to the appointment, I emailed the hospital a copy of my dog s vaccination records. I had to remind the doctor (multiple times) to provide my dog with his annual lepto shot shot was completed. Additionally, I had to ask several times for a fecal sample they did provide an at home testing tube. The doctor asked if my dog had completed a heartworm test and I informed the doctor that my prior vet completed full blood work on my dog the previous year. However, the doctor failed to complete a heartworm test during my dog s annual wellness exam. Moreover, I had to schedule an appointment with another doctor to complete my dog s complete wellness exam including a heartworm test. Response to owner response: You provided a tube for my dogs fecal sample (refer to picture) aka at home testing tube. Ive chosen not to bring the sample into your office. Ive tried to resolve this with you (via email) prior to scheduling another appointment with a different vet. I appreciate your response.
I am very disappointed with West Jordan Hospital that I have been for 6 years +/- I took my doggie in June for an annual check up which means they were going to check everything plus a vaccinations if needed. They told me Mae was really good except that she needs her teeth clean $ 900 and something plus any extraction cost on top of that. A week after I fell 2 bumps on her left side I called and said I need they check those bumps. The appointment was yesterday ( my son took her) and said Mae has those 2 bumps plus one in her mouth total at least estimate only $ 1200 and up. They charged me $ 73 dollars just to check the bumps that they should checked on her annual exam. I called them asking why they charged me $ 73 and the woman was VERY RUDE and her tone of voice RUDE and told me the bumps were not there, the bumps did not appeared in one week ( hello)! They don t care much for our pets money money is what the care. I have to find another hospital, but they have lost 2 clients Mae and Brooklyn.
Very nice people working there. Great vet answered all my questions
They are helpful and friendly, and help me understand what I should do with my puppy. I highly recommend them.
The staff was nice. The doctor was great with Leia. A little pricey but over a good experience.
First impressions are pretty important the visit with the doctor and the vet assistant was wonderful and they were very thorough about explaining everything that my cats needed. Im really happy that your office accepts care credit because that was also a life saver. I am giving 4 stars because the person that checked people in could have been a little more welcoming as it kinda felt like I was just another dollar sign walking through the door. Overall, great place
Kevin and associates were very helpful and friendly. Thank You
They were kind and wonderful with my dog. The vet was great at determining what was wrong.
Very efficient! Reasonable price!
Super thankful for the staff at WJVH! We saw Dr. Nemelka today for my dog s severe allergies. He and his tech took great care in answering my questions and I didn t feel rushed at all. He seemed to care for my dog like it was his own and gave me lots of advice and suggestions. We recently switched providers due to moving and I m so glad we found a great vet!
Even though the news wasnt good about my Jacob. The staff was incredible! Thank you for your kindness
Weve been bringing our dogs here for years. They have taken care of them when sick and healthy. Most of the time they are very competent. A few years ago an extended family member brought their dog here and received care that ultimately may have cause her death. We continued to bring our dogs and had a litter of puppies this summer, 2 of the 8 puppies survived. This vet did not have time in their day to do a c-section so they sent us home with meds that would hopefully progress her labor. Ultimately that delay may have cost the life of three little babies. We followed up with dew claw removal and a physical for the two puppies left. It was a 75% success rate for the dew claw removal. They now want to give is a discounted (down to $400) surgery to remove the dew claw that they messed up in the first place. Though it seems to me that we already paid them to remove it once and they couldnt do it completely. The quality of care is so hit and miss here. You may have a good experience...or you may not.
Justin was very helpful. He explained what my puppy should and shouldnt eat and got her up to date on her vaccinations. They only charged me $80 for the visit and $31 for the shots. They are great staff and Ill be getting my puppy spayed here
The most amazing staff and team of providers, EVER! They have always taken amazing care of our pup, but when she had a life threatening emergency, they were quick to get her in, and literally save her life. The after care has been nothing short of amazing. From checking in everyday, answering any questions we might have, we couldn t feel more grateful and cared for. Thank you all so much! -Nylaa s family
Bad service and very expensive. I cant recomended
I called West Jordan Veterinary Hospital (Animal Crackers) on Tuesday, 26 Sep 2023 to update my address and verify my phone number as we have recently moved. I wanted to be sure everything was up to date especially since our cat has gone missing over the last few days and has been microchipped at Animal Crackers. The lady that answered the phone refused to update my information and said to call Avid, not them. Well, thank you for NOT updating my information and being absolutely rude about it.
The staff are friendly & professional. Taking my female puppy for surgery and the process was great! Also, different from others; others basically took the animal & left. West Jordan staff showed us into a room, went over all the docs & procedure and treated my puppy wonderfully. The pickup process was the same, our own room, details of the surgery and after care.
They saved our Rosie! They were awesome! She wasn t quite ready to get out of the car when we got home though.
Ive never been here before, I brought my puppy and a very scared gsp (extremely scared) to get a wellness check and vaccines. The staff was wonderful even to my scared dog, even though she tried to nip at the vet, they were very polite and didnt do any of the pin down techniques that a different vet used. Im hoping that my dog will get better at the vet visits, and that this place is definitely the place that can help. They actually care for your pets.
A very good gentle veterinarian and tech Had to give bad news but we re very caring in how it was given. I love the vets and the staff there.
Firstly, I ve been taking my pets here for 20 years. Secondly, I have never had absolutely terrible service until today. I spoke to kaylee, she wasn t helpful at all, she wouldn t work with me and my schedule to get my pet in. She was arrogant and rude. She was sarcastic and unkind. Treated me like my concerns and my pets health didn t matter. I will be looking for a new vet for my animals after this experience. She had no right to speak to me the way she did. She doesn t deserve to work here. I will not return and neither will my animals.
If youre researching who to trust with your pets, I am here to tell you it is West Jordan Veterinary Hospital. This team is incredible all around and I cant say enough positive things about them. Immensely compassionate, accommodating, and competent are the top words I would use to highlight this team. Everyone is truly amazing and Justin, the manager, is extremely professional and on top of things. I recently got bad news on a biopsy for my dog and Dr. Elizabeth Parks spent almost 30 minutes patiently and compassionately going over everything with me. Utterly devastated that my dog has cancer, I felt lucky to have such an amazing and understanding vet team helping me and my dog through this. My pets will be lifetime patients here. To the vet team, thank you from the bottom of my heart (and Tobis), keep excelling at what you do. Your passion for your job and animals is palpable and you all stand out.
A great TEAM that works really well together for the benefit of patient and owner! Everyone from the front desk to the back office. Thank you for providing such wonderful care!
Not impressed! Called for neuter services and they refuse to provide a price until you complete initial visit (which cost $85). At the appointment, they were unable to complete well visit and check my dogs ears Recommended a prescription for $100 for yeast infection, but unable to confirm. After which they advised the neuter fee is $900! I wish they would have saved my time and money up front! Would not recommend!
Dr Nemelka and Val are wonderful. They loved on Piper and made our visit less traumatic for both of us. Dr Namelka called. surgery to clarify what was to be done and as soon as Piper was out of surgery to provide and update. They have answered texts and phone calls with multiple questions. I cannot speak highly enough of them. I think pricing was fair compared to what I have paid in other states where I have lived. Piper is home recovering and my stress level is much lower now.
Everyone was very nice. Our 2 yr old Yorkie was there for check up and immunizations. Last year when our Jack Russell passed away they were very compassionate.
Always treated well.
Great place to take your pets!! They care so much about your pets health and wellness!! Such a friendly staff and Dr. Park is amazing!!
They got me in right way with no wait! That was nice. Friendly staff and good vets that listen
We had a GREAT experience! They worked us in on a Friday afternoon (when our other vet said wed have to wait until Tuesday). The clinic was very clean and organized, it smelled great. The staff was super friendly -- Justin, Amy & Sophie. Dr Nemelke gave me a thorough diagnosis of the issue my dog was having, what to expect, how to treat the issue and when to return. I would TOTALLY recommend this clinic to someone needing veterinary care! (We werent in need of end-of-life care today, but I noticed things throughout the clinic that would be sensitive to pet families in need of that type of care). Ten stars!!!!
It is hard for me to talk about it right now but I will try. I went in on Thursday to put my cat down. I am still struggling to accept that I did the right thing I really feel like I messed up. Tiger was in a lot of pain and I chose to ignore it for my own selfish reasons. The vet was so nice and assured me that she will stand behind me and gave me a hug and said that she knows how much I love him. I still cry 80% of my day I am crying now writing this. I was so distraut that I signed a invoice for just the paw print only. They let me stay as long as I wanted. I had to have the tech take Tiger away from me or I would have never left. As I was driving home I called them and still was crying and told them I made a huge mistake I want him back. They let me come back the next day and get a paper paw print some fur and pick out an urn. The vet and staff treated me very good and did not dismiss my pain I was feeling. I still feel like I made a huge mistake but I am sure no matter what I will always feel like that. Thanks for treating me so well.
This place had no interest in caring for my pet. I made an appointment for one of my new rescues. She just needed a refill on her thyroid medication. Not that simple. They wanted to do a full workup even though I offered to provide them with all her records from the California rescue where I adopted her. All they want is $$$. You shouldnt have unwanted tests or services crammed down your throat and made to look like you dont care for your pet if you decline. Nit all pets need the vaccines youre peddling. All my furbabies are kept indoors and venture out only in my backyard. You dont even want to KNOW the animals or their living situation. So disgusted with this place and their lack of commitment and compassion for animals.
Dr Kevin is easy to understand in lipreading because I am deaf. The voc technician, the lady, I had trouble understanding her. She talked tooo fast for me and turned her head on sides. I could not lipread her at all. She typed on word perfect on the computer which was great for our communication. Dr. Kevin did go thoroughly physical exam on my puppy and he really care for animals!!!
Excellent service
I was Lucky and Thankful, I showed up without an appointment with my Cane Corso that had some gashes on his leg and was swollen up overnight West Jordan Vet. Took him right in for surgery, fixed him up and I picked him up after work! Great place!
They were able to get my dog in on a last minute call. Put me at ease regarding my baby. Treated him and he is on the mend. Thank you all
Our cat was dying, rather than put her down, we were told to force feed her. When I did that, she died in my hands because she couldnt swallow and she choked. She had lost a lot of weight in a very short period of time and you could see by looking at her things were not good, but at least the vet got their $800 so that I could torture her for 2 days, rather than letting her go peacefully. This place is not the same since they sold, and we will be finding a new vet. I dont know when they stopped caring about doing the right thing. I have had cats for 60 years, and you know when they are ready to move on..and it was obvious our little girl was done. I am heartbroken that her last days were miserable, and that I even listened to their advice, never again.
The staff is so wonderful. They are truly the best. They are always so kind and informative. My dogs adore all the staff members.
I need to have my pooch as possible I called 3 different vets Maxx had torn his dew claw it was really bothering him. So when I called west jordan animal clinic they got me in the same day removed the claw for a very reasonable cost the staff was very helpful and treated both Mxx and I really good it was my first visit and I would recommend the most definatly I Ive had a few fur friends in my life and I can say I will make them a friend for my babys .
Dr. Park did a great job treating my dogs ear infection. She also detected a heart murmur several vets had missed.
I recently moved to West Jordan and asked around for recommendations for a new vet. West Jordan Veterinary Hospital came highly recommended and I can see why. Very friendly and they do a great job of explaining everything. It didn t take long to get an appointment when my terrier needed one.
They are awesome and we re willing to get my cat in right away. Would definitely recommend people here.
Nikki had a temperature and had stopped eating & drinking. Nikki saw the Vet and he found a heart murmur. He wanted to do several tests & ex-rays ($600 to $800) just to be completely thorough. She went home continuing Antibiotics. I would of had all the tests done in a minute, but this time we were unable to pay. She was fine and the Vet didn t pressure me or act like it was critical for the tests. She has been doing good so far. When she is done with her meds we will schedule a new visit. Nikki has been coming to this Vet clinic her whole life(15 yrs). She s a Senior Puppy, but I wish I had invested in Pet Insurance before this jump in inflation flew through the roof. If anyone knows of any assistance for helping service animals Nikki really needs the help. Thank you for caring for my fur baby. We would never go anywhere else.
Very compassionate, friendly, and knowledgeable staff here.. answered every tough question i had to ask, and was good to our patient! Will return!
Treated my dog And me with respect
The Doctor was extremely nice and thorough. The girls up front were very friendly and kind. The assistant was quite dry and short and not the warmest or friendliest.
Have been going here for years the staff is very friendly and they treat my pets kindly.
Wasn t that thrilled with this visit. Kind of disappointed. Went in to have my dogs ears checked and a little bump on her back. My appointment was at 12:30 and I got there early. They got me in real quick the vet looked at her ears very slightly, I had mentioned I wanted them to swab them just to make sure they were ok because she has been shaking her head and scratching at them. But she didn t do that. Then I had to tell her multiple times to check the bump on her back. My appointment was over before my actual appointment time and I had asked if there was anyway they could see my other dog to give him his shots and they said they were behind and couldn t but had me back and done before my actual appointments time. I would in an Orthodontist office and we have late patients, early patients and patients that just show up and we try to make it as convenient as possible for our patients. I just felt like I wasn t being heard or valued. And to top it off my dog started itching and shaking her head for her ear this morning. It cost me 188.00 bucks for nothing .
Quick service, great care!
Dr. Park was very caring and supportive to our Bubbles furry kitty family member. Were thankful.
Informative & friendly, although kind of costly.
Always wonderful to my cat does an amazing job thank you and the staff is fantastic!
Everyone was very friendly and helpful taking care of my best friend! Thanks!
This is the best vet office Ive ever been too. I took my dog Chico there on 1/25/2024. My dog was in really bad shape and was on his death bed; so to speak. They did everything they could to help him but he was terminal. The doctor and techs treated me with the utmost respect and empathy from what my dog and I was going through. I was stressed and crying the whole time so I didnt get the doctors name but he is a young guy in his thirties and has long brown hair. Hes the best veterinarian Ive ever had before. I appreciate you sir, especially the way you handled the whole process. I will recommend this vet clinic to everyone I know that owns a dog. I will also start bringing my Frenchie there next year, theyre the best. Thank you.
I have been going to animal crackers since they opened. The office was on 13th West and 7800 South. Ive always had very good luck and good reception and polite nice people. They are very loving and caring. I highly recommend them.
Best in town
Not only were they nice to me but they were very sweet to my dog and that s everything to me. They took care of us in a timely matter. Did a good job explaining things and educating me on stuff. I strongly recommend
Friendly staff. I have never had a bad experience. The doctors are always so knowledgeable and kind
My Great Dane injured her foot requiring stitches and she was to see her regular vet two days later. Not only would my regular vet not get me in, they said I d have to go back to the emergency vet I initially went to since they did the repair. My dog s foot started looking really bad, and a friend recommended Animal Crackers. They got me in right away and from the moment we got there they were very caring and thorough and concerned for the whole animal. We developed a care plan moving forward. Im so happy with the experience and am changing from my former vet to Animal Crackers. Fantastic experience I highly recommend them!
Animal Crackers has been my vet since my 11 year old dog was 8 weeks old. Theyre the best in town and always go above and beyond. They take time to make your pet feel safe and truly care about your animal. Thankful we found them!
Animal Crackers Staff and Dr. Kelsey are AMAZING!!! Their Love and Tenderness was outstanding in our very hard, sad and happening fast situation with our Beloved Furbaby Boy Boxer Diesel. They showed so much compassion and patience with our family during a very difficult day and decision we had to make. Their kindness will never be forgotten. Saying Goodbye to our (family) 7 year old Furbaby Boxer Boy was very difficult. You never want to have to do or go through. They however helped with support, knowledge and so much love. We felt well taken care of. Special THANKS to Dr. Kelsey Mauer, Tech Bree and Hospital Manager Crystal. We so Appreciate Your Kindness!! Much Love from the Kratzer and Maestas Family.
This vet use to be good, but not anymore. Been taking my animals to them for 20+ years. Called them because my dog is sick and I was told to go somewhere else because they are booked until June. My dog is sick now and cant wait two months or longer to see a doctor. Their quality of service has declined over the past few years and this was my breaking point. For new patients I would recommend to stay away from this place.
Always a great experience at Animal Crackers. We have been bringing our cat and dog here for 12 years and they always take the best care of them. Friendly caring staff and doctors.
always friendly! we had a cat pass away a few weeks ago and they were so caring and understanding of what we wanted to do with her. made my son who had to make those decisions feel a lot better
We set up an appointment for our Lab Tucker to get neutered May 25th. PAID $75 to be on a waiting list. Today we called May 11th to get our new puppy Harper set up with her vaccines. They told us they were booked out until end of July because a Vet was no longer there. They also informed us that Tucker had to move his appointment that we made more than two months ago. My fiancé or I did not receive a phone call notifying us of the change. Two weeks away from a surgery we were expecting and not even informing us about it. They offered to refer us to a vet in Park City when we live in West Jordan. There was no talk about getting our money back so now I have to spend more time calling and getting a refund when that should have been included when they were referring to a different vet clinic. I would not recommend this vet office who lacks significant communication and information. We had everything planned including time off work. This is ridiculous and beyond frustrating.
Terrible experience. Do not go here!
I haven t had a positive experiences at a vet in years Animal Crackers is WONDERFUL. I m soooo grateful to have found a vet with positive, caring vibes and reasonable prices. Thank you!!!
I would not even give one star if I could complete this review without it. These are just money hungry people with zero cares about animals or their humans that are trying to support them. My fur baby just needs a new med for an existing medical issue. The med prescribed is not working, is causing side effects as listed for the med. The Vet will not provide a new prescription without seeing my dog again, more money, more tests, labs ect. The medical condition did not change. Oh the list of things this Vet put us through just to finally settle on spay incontinence. In the last year we have dropped around 3K in to tests, lab work and prescription dog food. This Vet office preys on those that love their fur babies.
These guys were wonderful. I don t know about you but I ve noticed a serious short in the veterinary field right now. Every clinic I ve tried to get into for my pets is booked out months in advance, even this one! They told me that they had an helping hand today and were seeing walk-ins! I feel lucky to have found someone to see my pet on short notice for his minor injury. The wait was shorter than any ER in the valley and even though it was more expensive to be seen on urgent care, I saved. I know appointments hard to come by with the the shortage. The staff was all running around working hard. They want to help if they can and they were so happy that they could get us in as it is hard to come by appointments. Be kind during these hard times. No one ever wants to say no, I m sure it s hard for them to tell people appointments are 2 months out! Don t give up on veterinary care and don t miss your appointments. Over all everyone was kind. It was was fast and saved me time and money at the ER.
I feel that the vet and vet techs were very attentive, kind. And thorough!
There not taking any new clients.
Sarah is the technician that helped me. She explained the situation and treated my dog quickly and with affection. It was a very positive experience and that is why I bring my dog here!
Natalie was so pleasant each time I interacted with her. [On the phone 3 times and in person]. Jade and Dr. Davis were very competent and interactive with my dog Casper. They were very kind and even took a picture of my dog for me.
Everything was good. No problem this time.
This hospital is definitely not the place to go and they do not care about your pets health; only profit. They shamelessly sell you procedures and services you do not need and then misquote pricing to get you do something only to tack on additional charges when you go to pay. My example is I was sold on a round of vaccines by the doctor. I asked how much the second shot would cost; she said $30. When I got there it was, Oh you need to pay a tech fee so it came to $47. Really, $17 for a tech to give a shot! I can give a dog a shot. This place is reprehensible and should have been honest when I was making the decision about the vaccine series instead of misleading me. In addition, the vaccine series wasnt needed.
I love taking my handsome boy here. They are always so patient. They were even able to clips his names and he usually won t let anyone do it. Thank you so much!
They are a very busy clinic but always are able to squeeze my kitties in within a couple weeks to a month which is not bad considering the wait times other clinics have. They do offer emergency same day appointments when they have availability as well. I ve seen two different vets here and both were really thorough, kind, and able to explain things to me well. My cats aren t scared of going to the vet anymore which is great!
Great place! I love the vet techs
It s been 15+ years and I d never go anywhere else! I am sad the name is changing from Animal Crackers because I thought it was the cutest, BUT the service is still the greatest and the cost is totally reasonable. Love you guys!!
5 stars!! I ve always loved taking my fur babies here. Always nice & friendly staff. The doctor we hadn t seen before, was super nice and informative. Told us our dog has a small heart murmur, which I m very thankful for so my fiancé & I can research more about them. We really appreciate it. If I had one thing to say, maybe the cleanliness in the lobby and in the rooms. Other than that, it s never negative energy when coming in! Forever client for my babies!
I love taking my pets to Animal Crackers. My 13yr old epileptic dog needed a dental and they took great care of her. The whole staff (CSRs, technicians, doctors and management) made me and my pets feel important. I would recommend Animal Crackers to everyone.
My cat was a jerk but the staff is really sweet!
Wonderful place. They took special care of my Bella.
Dr. Anderson and the West Jordan Animal Hospital staff were all great. They have always given my pets excellent care!
My boyfriend and I have two cats and we have had a positive experience every time we come here.
I have always loved the service at this veterinary hospital. It s fast convenient everyone s super friendly and helpful. I feel like my animals are well taken care of.
Dont know who was answered our call, but she hung up halfway when we were asking a question. Rude customer service. Will be taking my pet elsewhere.
I have been going to this vet for years. Prior to the change from Animal Crackers to the West Jordan Veterinary Hospital, they were fantastic, but since then, the quality of service has declined drastically. They have become unbelievably expensive and only seem to care about bleeding customers for every penny. Its very unfortunate. I used to love this place. Im sure there is going to be some generic response from the business after I post this, but the damage is done.
Animal Crackers used to be a decent place to take pets for basic treatment, such as vaccines. However, after they were sold to a chain, they steadily went downhill. Hired young new vets who didnt have enough experience or mentor support (or they were afraid to ask for help) to be on their own. We left Animal Crackers for another hospital after they refused to properly treat my poor cat for what should have been a simple thyroid diagnosis. My cat was undermedicated and miserable. The young vets had zero listening skills. The office mgr tried to charge $40 for a 7-day supply of transdermal ear cream when we were paying $7 at the pet pharmacy. Kept mixing health records on at least two of our cats. It went on for months. This was around the initial wave of Covid and it was difficult to get an appointment anywhere. We looked around and found Petcare Animal Hospital. They took us in immediately. Their level of knowledge, care, and compassion is above and beyond what Animal Crackers could provide. Glad we were proactive and searched for better care for our darling fur babies as weve had major health issues arise recently needing expert treatment. Wouldnt recommend Animal Crackers.
Amazing team!! Moxee and I were greeted efficiently from the receptionist. Dr. Kevin Nemelka and his assistant took quality time with Moxee. They acquainted themselves with her first building some trust before she actually had her vaccinations. The assistant comforted her as the Dr. Examined and treated her. The whole team was extremely knowledgeable, compassionate, caring and I would highly recommend this reputable business to anyone! We appreciate your high level of care! Thank you!! Juls and Moxee Ferrin
Our fur babies have always gone to Animal Crackers. Dr. Anderson has taken the best of care of our 5 puppies over the last 15 years. He is the Best of the Best!
My Standard Poodle had a hot spot on his leg that was getting infected. I couldn t get him into his regular vet. Nor could I find another who had a reasonable quick appointment. Until I called West Jordan Veterinary Hospital. They got him in early the next morning. He loved the staff. Wasn t shy about going with them for treatment. They were friendly, explained everything he needed and why. We re switching vets! Dr Braun and staff were fabulous. Thank you for your quick help.
I have been going to West Jordan Veterinary (formerly Animal Crackers) since the 90 s. Approximately two years ago, after my dogs exam, I was denied a pain medication for my dog because he wasn t seen by the doctor, and I wasn t told about this problem until I arrived in person. After numerous emails, text messages and calls, I spoke with a lady that legitimately listened to my complaint and I felt actually cared and it was only because of her that I decided to give this clinic another chance. It was until after, I found out the lady I spoke with wasn t West Jordan Veterinary, but a paid answering service. Last week I called to make an appointment for my dog. The male that answered the phone said my dog was due for vaccinations, which I knew and I have questions about the risks being given to an elderly dog. I said no, to vaccinations at this time, requesting blood work and an exam. I wanted to speak with an actual doctor with my concerns and not a vet tech, who in the state of Utah is not required to receive certifications or licenses to become a vet tech, and I was lectured about how vaccinations are the state law and how I could not get my dog in without vaccinations. The high turn over rate, overbooking, unprofessional staff are the reasons West Jordan Veterinary has fallen deeply, far from what Animal Crackers used to be. Oh, and I made another appointment with another clinic without being lectured on state laws.
Dr. Anderson and the staff are amazing!
Very caring and professional! Even when they are extremely busy. They took great care and compassion taking care of our dog during his surgery. I highly recommend them. I wouldnt take my animals anywhere else. Weve went to their clinic for many years! Never a bad experience.
They made a big difference...thanks so so much my cat owee is doing so much better
Easy to book an appointment and everyone working there is very nice. However, they ran bloodwork I did not request that cost an additional $40. I only asked for a CBC but they also did TT4. The bloodwork also seems overpriced compared to other vet clinics. We discussed thyroid but the doctor said symptoms didnt indicate it needed testing, yet they did it and charged me for it anyway. All bloodwork came back normal so the doctor didnt have much diagnostic advice and sort of shrugged off my dogs symptoms.
It was good
In and out quickly and so sweet with my dog.
They were quick and efficient . They provided me with a breakdown of everything that needs to be done. I will always take my pets here
So thankful for these guys.
The vet tech was kind and prompt.
I love it when I can take my two fur babies to West Jordan Veterinary Hospital knowing that they will have the best care they need. It made me very happy when my Tucker was a bit skittish to get his exam, they took him in the back to get comfortable with them so they could complete his exam. Both the doctor and tech talked to both my dogs to make them comfortable. I am very pleased to recommend this place to any of my friends and family.
They are listed as and emergency vet, but when you show up in an emergency with your pet you are referred to a different vet
Great experience
my puppy got his leg stuck in his kennel & they got me in asap to get x-rays and quoted me higher than my bill, but was still super cheap for an emergency!! everyone was SO kind and sweet. thank you guys for helping saskue
The staff was kind and upbeat. I appreciate the fact none of them talked down to me
Dr Jensen is amazing. Weve been to her many times and she always takes great care of our dog Cooper. Highly recommend!!
Vets are so great! Front desk is now the worst. The girls taking the appointments are so un professional and rude when it comes to check you in. Very disappointed for this change.
They are very caring for the pets and the clients. They explained what needed to happen, and the plan. Very easy to understand, ( no big words).
We need end of life services and they said we couldnt get in for 10 days but they would be happy to refer us to an emergency vet. Weve been going there for 10 years and this is the way they will treat my dog in the end. Take your pets some place where they care. I feel its the front office staff that are the problem. Terrible customer service!
We have been taking our 4 dogs to Animal Crackers for many years. Over the last 2 years there has been a steady decline in the service they provide. My most recent complaint is that our dog who was 17 years old was having some trouble and I wanted her to be seen. When I called the office they NEVER had any appts available for sick pets, not even through their urgent care visits, I was always told to call back at 8 AM to check the following day. I needed a quality of life exam done on my dog and they told me I was out of luck as they didnt have any appts for 2 weeks but I could take her to an after hours emergency clinic. I wanted her doctor to see her. Luckily she was seen that day at another clinic. I called this week to get my dogs records emailed to me and the girl who answered the phone was rude and unprofessional. Its sad to think that after going there for so many years, I am now moving my pets to another clinic, one who cares.
Animal Crackers have been the rock in the toughest time in my and my fur-baby s life. My Vet Dr.Jensen is an Angel without wings. This veterinary establishment can be truly trusted over any other vet that I have taken my dog too. And sadly that s been a lot. They are honest loving and treat you and your fur children like your family The one true vet I can drop my baby off knowing he is in good hands.
Tried to talk with a woman that worked here named Jodi about my cat being in severe pain and she brushed me off and refused to acknowledge my Animal or even give us the time of day. Negative
I love going into animal crackers, the staff, Dr. Anderson and Katie are so kind and take such great care of my feathered baby. Wouldn t go any where else.
This place hasnt changed in 5 years. Its all about making money with unnecessary and unneeded tests and exams and not the care of your pet. Unreal. Youd think the new management would put pets first. Still not the case.
The doctor & other staff were very nice to me and my human owners.
They charged me $38 for a small bag of a supplement which I discovered I could buy my on My own for $15 I feel ripped off.
I cant speak to the quality of the care, but Ive found this pet hospital to be completely unprofessional. I was searching for a new vet for my cat in November 2021. After calling several vets in the area, Animal Crackers told me they were accepting new clients. I made an appointment for an annual checkup for January 2022. Two days before the appointment, I received a text message from Animal Crackers asking if I was a new client (shouldnt they have already known?) and telling me that they werent actually accepting new clients. So now here I am, back to square zero after being lied to with no vet, no appointment, and at least another month out from a checkup with another vet. Id avoid this place if you arent already a client--and dont believe them when they say theyre accepting new ones.
Over the years we haven t had the best experience with Animal Cracker. Lately the service has been horrible they have canceled two different appointments on us and when I call to reschedule they are 2-3 months out. My dog needs a medication and they will not refill it until they see her for blood work, yet they can t see her for 3 months. So I am not sure what they expect me to do just abruptly stop the medication that she needs very unprofessional in my opinion. I have been wanting to switch for a while now, this definitely gave me the push I needed and we won t be back.
Dr Jensen and the staff of Animal Cracker are amazing. My brothers dog got into something and they allowed me to come in and get her checked out without an appointment. I would 100% recommend this clinic!
